Reviews for Rivertide Suites
Review 1:We have stayed with you twice both over NYE and were placed in exact same room both times. Would have like to experience a different view.
Review 2:Like it was dog friendly would have preferred to be on lower level. The breakfast was a nice variety of choices.
Review 3:The breakfast was good. Located a short walk to the beach. It was quiet. Loved the bathtub with the jets, I'm a larger person and it was very comfortable. Unfortunately, I was sick during the vacation but the front desk staff checked in daily.
Review 4:The coffee was none too impressive (although, you can't really complain when its free).
Review 5:The room was absolutely GORGEOUS! My girlfriend loved it! The layout for the room was unique and interesting, it was spotlessly clean, and for the price (following Christmas, so the price was probably low, compared to summer prices) it was an incredible deal. The crows nest balcony on the roof offered an amazing view of the beach and the town, as well as the surrounding foothills. The staff was kind and curteous, and didn't mind joking around with me whenever I walked through the lobby. Extremely impressed by this location, and we will most definitely be returning!
Review 6:The Wi fi didn't work properly. The only elevator was very slow.
Review 7:Room was great lots of room, very clean, nice kitchen. Close to beach and downtown. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice reception in the evening .
Review 8:It was all about staff friendliness! It took a while to get us checked in probably 4:30 but the manager I believe he was did his best to get us in quickly. During the short wait he gave my two little girls sanddollars from the beach that was a great distraction for them. The receptionists were incredibly nice. Me and my husband are actually planning to go back and this hotel is our only choice!! Hotel room was incredibly clean and the view was beautiful!
Review 9:The fireplace in my room was broken and the kitchen in the studio needed some more utensils, dishware, and maybe some butter or oil to make cooking worth it. Also - the elevator is mind-bendingly slow. It's always 5 minutes faster to take the stairs.
Review 10:The front desk service was very poor. I had to basically facilitate my own check-in, since the woman could not manage to welcome me, ask my name, or anything for that matter. They need to step it up and remember that this is the hospitality industry.
Review 11:For the first stay ever the beds were horrible. They need to provide paper towels in the kitchens. Wished the staff knew we were repeat guests. Many stays since it opened.
Review 12:Location. Nice staff.
Review 13:The gas fireplace blower can't be turned off so you can enjoy just the flames, and the blower is LOUD. And it's cheesy that they charge for WiFi, even if it is just a one-time rather than per-day fee.
Review 14:Everything -- staff, unit, hotel, amenities -- were ideal. The breakfast was fine; would've appreciated a bit more in the way of, say, bacon or sausage, and a wider variety of bagels, but the oatmeal and strawberries were great and having hard boiled eggs provided protein.
Review 15:That the wifi cost extra
Review 16:We loved the room we stayed in it was very nice and clean and a great price would definetly stay here again, would be a great place to stay with our two kids
Review 17:Only negative was wifi was not complementary it was a $10 charge to access it
Review 18:Very comfortable room, well equipped, great closet space, nice with fireplace. Bathroom was very well laid out and jetted tub and shower were excellent Breakfast was good and pleasant eating area
Review 19:Would like more variety for the complimentary continental breakfast (e.g., more fresh fruit options, cereals).
Review 20:Staff were friendly, courteous, and loved dogs; daily manager's reception offers free wine and beer; rooms are spacious and definitely worth the price. Will definitely return to this little gem!
Review 21:That we had to wait an hour and a half for our room to be ready even though we attempted to check in at the requested 4:00 check in time.
Review 22:The willingness of the staff to resolve issues.
Review 23:Everything was great
Review 24:I liked they alowed dogs.I liked they had a kitchen and a washer and dryer plus a spa tub.I liked that they were so close to the ocen. The breakfast was good too.
Review 25:Just a minor problem: the wi-fi didn't work very well. Also, the instructions for operating the DVD player were inadequate--we eventually had to call the front desk and have them send a tech expert.
Review 26:Nice room with a nice view. Easy walking distance to center of town. Friendly helpful staff.
Review 27:No complaints here
Review 28:Hotel was above my expectations, staff was friendly, room was beautiful. Pool and fitness center were nice. Breakfast was good and I thought that happy hour was another great touch!
Review 29:I don't have any dislikes, just a couple of suggestions for possible amenity upgrades -- replace the drip coffee maker with a Keurig and put a memory foam mattress topper on the beds.
Review 30:I like the location, everything is within walking distance. It feels like you staying in your own place, not a hotel room. The unit is spacious and the staff is professional and friendly.
Review 31:Wifi was horrible!!! And although the hid-a-bed was nice to have and we used it, it was not only uncomfortable as a bed, it was very uncomfortable as a couch as well.
Review 32:It's like a little apartment, had everything I needed to just stay in the room and enjoy the company I was with. Nice little patio to get some fresh air.
Review 33:Not a bad experience, but it would be nice to have some variety to breakfast, hard boiled eggs and dry waffles are OK, but every day ??
Review 34:Room size and location; The Bed; Housekeeping staff effort; how they handled my inquiry re several things I unintentionally left in my room upon departure
Review 35:Man who worked there walking around talking to us at breakfast wastrying to be friendly but came across very fake. Elevator was unusallyslow, hot tub was not working. Dogs all over the place; insideelevators, in breakfast area, in hallways, etc. (I have life threateningallergies to dogs)
Review 36:Location! Luxury accomodations, jet tub in master suite, modern insideand out. Enjoyed the view of the river from our balcony below and theocean just 2 blocks away. Also the view on the Crow's Nest to seethe rare red solar eclipse.
Review 37:SMALL MATTER BUT NO PAPER TOWELS OR NAPKINS. SO BRING YOUR OWN. we didn't know if that's customary or ........
Review 38:View of the river. Watched heron catch breakfast in river. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely place close to everything.
Review 39:When I pulled the bed cover on the first night, there was a hole in thesheet and some faint stain marks. Very disappointing for a 3 star hotel.Had stayed there before and never had a problem. I told the receptionistdownstairs and she never even said 'sorry' about it and I askedthat the sheets be replaced the following day which the cleaning ladydid after I saw her and mentioned it to her. When I checked out, theyasked how my stay was, I said 'ok', she asked how it could bebetter the next time, I told her about the torn and stain marked sheet, this receptionist apologized about it but I was never offered an extradiscount for the inconvenience. So, I will stay at other hotels from nowon on my regular trips to Seaside! Not worth the money to havequestionable looking sheets on the bed.
Review 40:Suite is roomy
Review 41:Had to pay extra for Wi-Fi which would have been okay if the Wi-Fi speed was actually good. Kept cutting in and out. Couldn't get it at all in one of the bedrooms.
Review 42:Great two bedroom suite for a really great price (Sept-off season?). Quick easy walk to beach. Nice simple breakfast.
Review 43:Immaculately clean rooms and premises. Loved the complimentary wine & snacks in the evening. Quiet and very convenient location to the beach and promenade.
Review 44:Would be nice to have free WiFi. Also I paid $90 more for a room with the view of the river.. only because the receptionist said the view was great! Well wasn't that great.
Review 45:The room was very nice.
Review 46:Beautiful room with full kitchen, washer and dryer! A free hour of beer, wine and snacks wth the manager every evening. The hotel was not ON the water but river view was decent and was within walking distance to food, bars and the ocean! We will definitely be there again soon!
Review 47:It was so much like home. I was able to relax, cook, and the cleanliness was superb. Our housekeeper even created designs with our towels..our dogs were welcomed and the facility was very dog friendly. Centally located..and right by the beach perfecto!
Review 48:The fee of $10 a day for WiFi. Really, It was free at all the other places we stayed don't know why they charge so much.
Review 49:The rooms are beautiful, on the canal, full little kitchen, spa tub, wonderful breakfast, happy hour each night, fabulous beds, daily newspaper, cable flat screen TV's and free parking.
Review 50:The wifi that we paid for seemed to stop working after midnight.
Review 51:Best value we experienced on our trip thru the northwest. Room was very comfortable and exceeded all our expectations.
Review 52:AC didn't work and desk clerk got busy so didn't remember to call maintenance. Lock had to be re keyed more than once. A bit pricey.
Review 53:Nice room, good location, plenty of space for the family.
Review 54:The suite is extremely small, it's not worth $813.00 for a two night stay. It's definitely not worth it when the it's taken out of your account twice.
Review 55:The location is good
Review 56:Bed wasn't super comfy. Wifi was slow. No handrails for the tub.
Review 57:Very convenient to local restaurants and beach. The rooftop was terrific! Kitchen was great!!
Review 58:Breakfast too crowded, but sufficient. Wifi a bit slow. Coffee pot missing.
Review 59:Loved the clean and new room with a built in washer! We got a free upgrade and the staff was lovely. Great pool. and an easy walk to the beach. My new favorite place.
Review 60:We were a bit surprised that the wifi wasn't free, but we were only there for one night, so it was OK.
Review 61:Loved having a washer/dryer! The location was convenient to the beach and shopping
Review 62:The kitchen in our suite did not have paper towels, hot pads or a pizza cutter, the latter I can live with, but the first two you kind of expect to have. The breakfast area was crowded and when my daughter, who is 9, went down at 8:30 the inventory was really low and she was bummed they didn't have cheerios and the fruit was all gone. I had also asked for a late checkout and was told for $25 I could have one, but then was told no...that made our travel plans a bit of a mess for our departure day. But they did get us in at 2, which was two hours ahead of their 4 o'clock check in time.
Review 63:The space in the suite was great for our family of five. The pool was small, but comfortable. The manager was super friendly and inviting at the wine/beer/soda reception, the snacks were good too. The hotel itself is very cute and well appointed. Elevated my expectations of a beach hotel, very nice place.
Review 64:Probably the only negative I would give is there's no free wi-fi. We just thought it was really slow to connect, after talking to the front desk we found out you had to pay.
Review 65:Loved the room...we had a one bedroom suite with kitchenette, fireplace, wonderful bathroom with large jetted tub! It was just a short walk to the beach and to the shops downtown. Overall I would definitely stay here again!
Review 66:I didn't like the fact you had to pay 10 dollars a day for wifi. Parking was terrible. Not enough parking spots for entire hotel. So had to find street parking.
Review 67:Almost everything! Very friendly staff. Loved the room.
Review 68:Despite there being an inventory of the contents of the kitchen many items were missing. It was necessary to call housekeeping on two occasions to replace missing utensils and a broken frying pan. When I turned down the bed I was horrified to find dried blood spots on the duvet. Too tired and too late in the evening to call housekeeping again I slept without it. In the morning I left the duvet folded with the staining in plain sight and happily it was replaced. Wi-Fi access had to be purchased and was painfully slow.
Review 69:The staff were welcoming and accommodating and we were invited on arrival to complimentary drinks and nibbles. A great location for visiting some of the beautiful beaches.
Review 70:The rooms were great. I liked having a separate bedroom away from the kids. Having the option to cook and eat in the suite was a money saver too. We even got to do a load of laundry!
Review 71:We arrived 15 minutes before breakfast was over, and were very disappointed with the few items that were still left out. The woman who oversees the breakfast area should have waited until 10 to start putting food away. My husband put a couple of biscuits in a napkin to take and eat in the room since she was so intent on cleaning up, and the next thing we knew she'd informed the manager and he was at the table jokingly asking if my husband was behaving himself!
Review 72:Loved the washer and dryer and newness of the unit, the 2 tvs and the balcony overlooking the river.
Review 73:I didn't like that you had to pay for the wifi. The pool was a little cool to be calling it "heated".
Review 74:The hotel and staff were superb. They were friendly and often joked around with us. We loved the fact that there was a full kitchen with dishes and utensils. We were able to save ourselves some money by cooking our own meals, and the rest of the room was just lovely. We didn't want to leave!
Review 75:Fer wifi
Review 76:Spacious condo. Clean and laundry in the room. Great views of the river and rooftop balcony with views of the ocean. Great rates during the week.
Review 77:The pool was disgusting, you could see that they hadn't cleaned it out for at least a month, there was random clothes in one of the drawers in the closer when we walked in and took a look at everything. The upper walls were super thin, we could hear kids running around at 10pm.
Review 78:I liked how close it was to the beach. I loved the washer and dryer!
Review 79:Room was supposed to have a river view, but it was very little river and mostly the hotel across the street being re-roofed so it was extremely noisy most of our visit. The surround for the fireplace kept falling off.
Review 80:Two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as the balcony.
Review 81:Paying for WiFi when you are there for the tourist attractions (read not in the room) seemed silly.
Review 82:The room is set up beautifully and perfect for a couple for a weekend or longer stay due to the full kitchen,
Review 83:Mislead as to the type of room - was not river view unless you went to the end of the balcony and looked around the edge of the building. Had to work to get the room I booked. Damaged tile in bathroom. Missing kitchen items and notice implied if we did not tell the staff we could get charged for the missing items. No place to set soap and shampoo in shower except on the floor. Mold around rim on floor of shower. Food did not look appealing so we went out everyday. Lack of value if not able to eat it. Charged a deposit hold of more than the room despite web that says contrary. Still have not gotten the excess back at this time.
Review 84:Corw's nest was great view of everything. Close to the downtown main street.
Review 85:I and my family/friends stay here fairly often: Overall experience is very good, that is why I return to this place more often than any other in Seaside.
Review 86:1) The manager, Mark 2) Spacious and well appointed rooms 3) Quiet 4) Staffs are usually friendly and good 5) Breakfast is pretty good 6) Riverview is peacefu
Review 87:We didn't have a single bad experience.
Review 88:Our 1-bedroom suite was just perfect. We had a wonderful stay. We originally booked a studio, but the staff offered to upgrade to a 1-bedroom when we checked in, and we said, "Yes, please!" We are thankful we did!
Review 89:The only negative thing I can say is that if you want wi-fi you have to pay for it, which seems odd given what you pay to stay in comparison to other hotels that offer free wi-fi for cheaper accommodations.
Review 90:I had booked a studio room, but at check-in we were given a beautiful 2 bedroom suite. We had a view of the ocean, the accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Will definitely stay again
Review 91:Pool was filthy. Spa didn't function
Review 92:room was quiet even though the hotel was pretty full, wonderful kitchen, had a dryer which was great for getting bathing suits dry.
Review 93:We upgraded from a studio to a king suite. We liked everything about our room...bath, balcony, bed! Having a washer and dryer in our rooms was wonderful. This room was a great value for our money. It was updated and attractive. We also enjoyed our stay in Seaside...nice little town.
Review 94:very friendly and enthusiastic personnel. received by hotel manager who offered us a choice of suites, upgraded us for a pittance, included wifi in price and extended our stay at same price/night. very professional.
Review 95:This was a last-minute booking on a whim, and we arrived during their 'happy hour'. Very friendly staff greeted us with an offer of wine for me and soda for the kids. Clean, comfortable suite. Front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful. The only thing that could have made this experience better would be if it was located right on the beach. However, it is definitely within walking distance of the beach and all activities/shops in Seaside, and may even be a little more private (and quiet) due to being tucked away on the river instead. We'll be back when we can stay longer!
Review 96:Location, view, room amenities, staff. The kitchen in the room was excellent, the fireplace comforting, and the furniture comfortable. This was a genuinely good experience, and I'm a man who has spent more than 4000 nights in hotels and motels
Review 97:Jetted tub didn't work but, I'm sure that was a fluke. Next time I'll check it earlier in the day.
Review 98:Staff was so friendly and I didn't want to leave the room it was so perfect!
Review 99:Nothing that I didn't like. Absolutely can't think of anything..
Review 100:The staff was super friendly and helpful, room included everything you'll possibly need (kitchen equipped with dishes, stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave), there was even a washer/dryer combo in the unit! How convenient is that? Bathtub with jets.. The complimentary breakfast - included everything you can think of.. And tasted amazing.. The pool and a hot tub to top it off at the end of your day.. I want to go back already :)
Review 101:We called and was told no vacancy during our time frame, went on line and found 1 vacancy for 1 night, wanted 2 nights. We took the 1 night online and asked the counter person if they had any rooms so we could stay a 2nd night was told we only have a 2 Brm that's the room we were in. So we ended up staying the 2 nights. Would of been better if we would of known that in the first place.
Review 102:Staff exceptionally friendly. Snacks and breakfast good. Pool nice size and clean.
Review 103:10.00 fee for wifi each day..if you have to charge why not 10.00 for the whole stay...we have stayed at many places and never been charged anything at all for wifi..
Review 104:Love the friendly staff. Location is nice. Breakfast is great. Having a kitchen is great.day
Review 105:Paying for wifi in a room this expensive seems silly and then it quit working after a couple hours.
Review 106:The staff was amazing, the room and view was beautiful. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Well worth the cost and we made reservations for next time already!
Review 107:Wish there was a better selection for breakfast but it is free so can't really complain.
Review 108:Spacious rooms, very clean, kitchen was clean had all the necessary equipment to cook. Definitely would stay again.
Review 109:The breakfast was a little more plain than your normal continental breakfast, but we ended up eating out anyway.
Review 110:The staff was awesome to our pup! We got a two bedroom. We had two kids and our dog. Lots of room and the washer and dryer was nice to keep everything clean.
Review 111:Early in March, I took a good friend to introduce the place to her. Late afternoon, we got there and the place was hardly 1/2 occupied but we were given the oddly configured studio and the bed skirt was totally torn and just tucked under the bedspring. It was an ugly sight but we simply stayed since we already unpacked, were tired, and it was an one night stay. But nonetheless, it is difficult to understand the necessity by the clerk (granted he was new person there for my observation.) to assign the room to us. My friend says that she does not care to go back there. - She feels that it was not a fair trade practice.
Review 112:i have been going there over the years with my family and solo. It is a very spacious and well appointed condo hotel with friendly staffs and manager. It is located short walk to Broadway, the promenade and quiet with fair breakfast. I had written glowing reviews in the past about this place.
Review 113:Only down side was no free wifi. At that price should be included in stay.
Review 114:habing an actual bedroom to shut the door was great for when our toddler twins napped. The rest of us could hang out in living room/kitchen. Breakfast was great with tons of options.
Review 115:beds could definitely be more comfortable; could've been cleaner - had dirty dishes in dishwasher, visible dirty spots on couch cushions, dirty floor grout/tile in shower and splashes of something on inside lower part of smaller bathroom's door
Review 116:2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs, nice kitchen & fireplace. Good space for 4 people, close to downtown and beach. reasonably quiet. hot tub & pool.
Review 117:The pool, although nice, could use an update. Was a little on the small side. Not to happy to find out that WiFi is available but only at a charge ($10 isn't much but since most hotels include it it was a bummer) . Not alot of choices entertainment wise (not alot of cable choices or movie choices at the front desk). And maybe make sure the dishes in the kitchen are clean. I get not wanting to waste a load of dishes to clean a few glasses but can't you guys swap out the dirty dishes for clean ones between customers? It also would have been nice to have some chairs in the crows nest (I get that it's off season but at least a couple folding chairs?)
Review 118:I loved the room. Awesome jetted tub, full kitchen, and a balcony. I heard the manager reception was nice, though we didn't participate. Loved how the rooms had just about everything you would need for an extended stay.
Review 119:My family and myself had a wonderful time staying in this hotel. It was beautiful and clean and the jetted bathtub was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 120:Great location, one block from the main street of town. Very near to the beach. Comfortable, spacious room. Fully equipped kitchen. Room was spotless when we moved in. Nice breakfast (biscuits & gravy[!?], oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yoghurt) and free coffee & tea in the lobby all day.
Review 121:Jam or something sticky all over cupboard knobs. Most dishes in the dishwasher. Coffee left in pot and dirty coffee cups.
Review 122:Updated tasteful decor. Staff extremely friendly. Substantial breakfast buffet kept well stocked and area clean.
Review 123:The City
Review 124:The city is odd. Seems to be geared towards younger grouos? We are in our 30s amd many olaces were either arcade to eat, or theyvwere closed, no one was in there and the "irish pub" was not an Irish Pub. The room was great though!
Review 125:The mattress in our room needs to be replaced, very bumpy and not real comfortable.
Review 126:Are stay was great. Good location and enjoyed all the amenities. Will definitely be back.
Review 127:The staff was very friendly; accommodating; made us feel like we were home. We will definately be staying there again soon. The room was comfortable and very clean, wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 128:Room should have been checked before guest arrival. Jetted tub didn't work until GFI was reset, phone didn't work until port was switched, some of the dishes were missing. Woke up by maintenance man who had the wrong room. Wifi should be free.
Review 129:Room was comfortable and clean.
Review 130:Breakfast was ok at best. There need to be some hot food options. Manager's reception really needs to be called a wine reception. The Manager was great though!
Review 131:From the moment we stepped in, we were completely enraptured with the room. We took full advantage of the fireplace and the jetted tub. While we had good intentions of using the kitchen, the local restaurants made it impossible to want to stay in and cook for ourselves. Rivertide Suites was truly a little paradise this holiday season.
Review 132:jetted tub in the hotel room did not work, and the water was a little cold.
Review 133:loved the hotel, the staff was nice and it was perfectly placed. not too close to all the shops, but definitely within walking distance.
Review 134:They didn't have the Thursday night football channel! :-( Other than that, it was a perfect stay!
Review 135:The amenities were excellent! Bed very comfortable. When we needed assistance somebody was at our door within 2 minutes! We wanted a quiet getaway and we got it! Well worth the $$ !!
Review 136:We found a hair on the pillow band another one on the nightstand near the bed after the room was cleaned! The coffee pot didn't work. I was not allowed to check in because I had made the reservation in my husband's name. This is a ridiculous policy! I made the reservation, but they required his ID. They weren't very friendly about it. We've been married for 25 years. I was told they could change the reservation into my name and then I could check in. This makes no sense.
Review 137:The room was very nice and spacious - a small apartment. The furnishings were modern and the bed was comfortable.
