Review 1：Bathroom area was tooooo dang small..pilot lite out on fireplace.. our door lock / card quit working..had to get maintenance twice.. contacted this booking.com w/ questions before we left home & you never answered

Review 5：The Hi Tide is just 3 blocks from the busy Broadway area. It fronts the ocean and the Seaside promenade. The views of the surf are unimpeded, and Tillamook Head dominates to the south. We had a king room with a balcony. The room was large, had a gas fireplace and a small kitchenette. While this is an older property, it is maintained very well. There is wear and tear, but it is trumped by friendly and knowledgeable staff. We have stayed here many times over the years and plan to do so again.

Review 7：Staff was great, pool was warm. Being there on Xmas eve and xmas staff was friendly and not angry about having to work. Super nice older guy that deals with breakfast was funny, he always tried to send you on the road with a snack.

Review 22：This was a great and the staff was awesome. I participated in the worst Hood to Coast (weather wise) in history and the little touches the hotel provided were great. I mean a care package with re-fueling snacks and water - right on! Breakfast also had some good healthy choices too. It is clear the hotel staff takes pride in what they do.
Review 23：nothing....i suspect the car park capacity may prove difficult at busy times. The breakfast area can get busy as it has limited seating.
Review 24：This is a busy place which clearly has a lot of guest turnover...therefore the cleaners have a mission on their hands...so when they say your room is ready at 16.00 hrs they mean it...dont turn up at 14.00 hrs and expect your room...some people were noticeably impatient/unreasonable. the staff if treated well respond with great service...we were upgraded and had a really big room which had more facility than we had expected. This is a busy resort and the location of the hotel...on the edge of the centre was perfect, as you were adjacent to beach but away from all the 'bustle'.
Review 25：The staff was rude. You ask one question, and they look at you like you have 3 heads. Also the bathroom in the room was a joke, the door didn't lock, and you had to pull the door really hard to open or close the door. And every time you take a shower it floods the bathroom. No matter how you move the head of the shower.

Review 45：We were in a 12 room complex across the street that was disgusting. He smell was so bad we had to sleep with the window open and were awaken all throughout the night by the cars driving on the street 6 feet from the ground floor window. We will not be returning to this poor establishment.
Review 46：Lacks of AC made the room a bit hot, and our window didn't fully open we were only able to have a small crack to get fresh air. The provided fan helped.

People were constantly walking past our room, parking their car or cleaning the sand off their feet at the water spicklet, which was all outside of our bedroom. It was pretty loud.
Review 53：It was located right on the beach. They had fresh cookies every night, they cleaned the rooms well and it was located near all the fun shops and entertainment.

Went to continental breakfast and brought two bagels back to room - but after looking at them they both had mold on them.

Review 56：It is rather old hotel. Looks old, feels old and requires some improvements. There was a TV in the room but it was not a flat TV. A gas fireplace in the room was constantly on. I think the valve was broken and there was a small flame whole night and I could turn it off. Free WI-FI didn't work for the most part of the night. Not a good value for the money.

Review 62：The fireplace in my room did not work. It does tend to get chilly in the early morning hours on the coast. There was electric heat available, however it lacks the ambiance of a fireplace. Unfortunately, right before the Independence Day weekend they would have had no place to move me. In addition, the bathroom door did not latch or lock. It would stay closed. It did not latch.This property allows pets so if I had a dog she could just walk in on me by pushing in the door with her nose. The locking knob just spun around so even had the door been able to latch properly it would not lock. The tv was older and the speakers were shot. I had to max out the volume all the way up just to be able to hear it.I brought all of these issues to the manager and he said he would fix them. However, he did not offer to make any adjustment on my room rate which is all that I would have expected. Finally, the continental breakfast... What can I say, it was free. There were no hot items unless you count a bagel you toast, or instant oatmeal. The coffee was decent though. All of this notwithstanding, I would probably consider staying at this property again.
Review 63：The location was fabulous, a bit retro in room furnishings but functional. The lobby featured otis spunkmeyer cookies in the evening and ice water with oranges in it throughout the day. The pool was small but clean. The hot tub was nice, though the hours this area was accessible left something to be desired. They closed at 2200 and didn't open until 1000. The staff genuinely seemed to care.That being said, there were some issues that could have been better handled..
Review 64：When I booked I was suppose to get an ocean view,we were put in the rooms across the street no ocean view. Sheets very thin and old,blankets with holes in them.screens with holes in them. Not happy with the room. Not comfortable beds,very hard.

Review 69：The room is a vintage wonder complete with harvest gold bathroom features and kitchenette. The gas fireplace Is a nice touch a nice touch. Make sure to ask about freshly baked cookies in the office!

Review 75：The room. It hadn't been updated since the 70s. The screen had 2 good sized holes in it. The sheets barely stayed on the bed as they were not deep enough to cover the mattress. The box springs were smashed to about half their normal height.

No screen on door so bugs could get in, appliances severely outdated. Tub looked disgusting and old, paint chipping away. Not worth the money at ALL!!!

Review 85：When someone advertises "all rooms have kitchens" one thinks microwave, fridge and stove of some sort. There was no stove so we were forced to eat frozen dinners as we didn't want to eat out. The bathrooms desperately need to be updated. When was the last time you've seen yellow/gold toilets and bathtub? You couldn't turn on the bathroom light without the "airplane taking off" sound, so I often sat in the dark.
Review 86：I loved how close we were to the beach, and although we didn't have a coastal front view, we had a room on the side so when we were eating, we could see the way to the beach and lots of sky. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious.
Review 87：We walked into our room, and the smoke detector was hanging from it's wires off the ceiling. Bathroom had a gold toilet with a white seat too low to the floor. Tub was green. Needs to be updated compared to other accomadations for the same price in the area. While checking out, there were 3 staff members arguing. We heard the shouting while walking up to the office door. They tuned it down when we entered, but continued the argument. The gentleman helping us check out was trying to talk over the the arguing. That's our final impression of their establishment.

Breakfast was pretty light as to not a lot to choose from so you may want to go to breakfast if you have kids. Partial Ocean View was definitely partial. No tea bags just coffee in the room. No pets allowed
Review 101：The place was quaint and quiet and at the end so no traffic or noise, good location(about 3 blocks from the promenade the main street.You can walk down the boardwalk to get there) They do have a elevator if needed(we liked taking the stairs because we were the room at the top of the stairs and good exercise) and concierge carts by the elevator great idea. We took stairs because it was just my husband and I but good if you have a lot of stuff. We had a king bed which was comfortable compared to other hotels we have stayed in. When we walked in the room smelled fresh and clean.LOTS of places to store/hang your stuff.The fridge worked wonderful. It was nice they had dishes/flatware too and supplied paper towels in room. Fire Place(didn't work :( ) and DVD player in our room. Pool and spa was very clean. Staff was very laxed but very nice. They have OLD movies for rent for $2.00 a movie. Fresh Cookies at 7 pm every night in the office. Breakfast was perfect for adults I don't know about for kids tho.The next time we come I think we will have to get a full Ocean view because we spent a lot of time not looking out our window because we had to lean into the window to see the partial view or we were looking at the houses below and the people who lived in them.So if you can we would recommend the full Ocean view with the balcony. Lots of parking but we did come during the winter so can't say what it will be like in the summer. the place did not some updating and repairs in certain areas but other that that it did not affect our stay. It looks like they are working on updating some of the rooms and areas. No pets allowed which is fine with us since we don't have any. Also, appreciated that there was no smoking anywhere or the hotel or near the rooms since we are non smokers.Price was great for winter and what we got for a room and view.We would recommend it even if you have kids.Would stay here again.
