Reviews for Snow Peak Inn

Review 1:The hotel could be remodeled and up dated. Bathroom could be a bit more clean, no heat vent in the second room. I booked my reservation for a down stairs because my brother is blind and hard for him to be walking up and down the stairs. Stairs could have been cleaned of ice. Parking lot needed to clean of snow and ice, Big time.

Review 2:Location of the hotel was good, and I like the two room suites. Price was good for a two room suites.

Review 3:Room was tiny. 2nd bed was in a room that was just big enough to fit it. Looked like something out of a Tarantino movie. Bathroom was falling apart. Stripping and wallpaper falling off. Room key was ancient, it looked like a punch card. Never seen one of those before. Kind of cool, like a museum piece. TV was also out of a museum. A museum of tiny CRTs. Overall the place was dingy, poorly lit, outdated, and if it was anywhere but FLG would have been scary. Thankfully flagstaff rarely feels scary, so it just felt cheap.

Review 4:Staff was friendly. Stayed here because it is within walking distance of downtown Flagstaff, which is very convenient. Had a mini fridge which I didn't expect, and was handy. Although it was sort of in an awkward place and didn't open all the way because it hit the bed. The price was good, would stay here again despite complaints, it was just a place to crash for the night, didn't need anything fancier.

Review 5:Scary, people outside arguing all you here is door slamming all night from the drunk person staying next door to you.The only way to get some sleep is if you take some deep sleeping pills. Didn't smell very pleasant.

Review 6:The plug receptacles didn't hold the plugs, there were no plugs around the desk for a computer. No plugs in the bathroom, The flat sheets didn't stay on the bed. Pillows were flat. We checked out a day early and they wouldn't refund the last night.

Review 7:Very little

Review 8:The heater made noise but nothing to crazy

Review 9:Price... I loved it because you get what you pay for... I would rather spend on my vacation and food... It was a secure place to stay and rest.

Review 10:The lack of a fitted sheet on the bed, or a protective liner over the mattress. Protective liners help with things like bed bugs and germs that get into the mattresses. The mattress was covered with a top sheet which kept pulling away, exposing the mattress. The small fridge was a decent size for small ones, but lacked a true freezer area for things like cubed ice or frozen dinners bought at the grocery store to be used in the microwave. These things are just observations and I am not trying to nitpick the hotel. I feel they provided good value for what I paid. Some parts of the room were older and worn, but the carpet seemed to be in good shape and did not have that dirty feeling.

Review 11:Staff was accommodating, responding to my requests upon moving by providing an appropriate room. The room was spacious and had ample room to keep toiletries around the sink. The shower and heater worked. There was a desk area near the wall to work on a laptop. Also a small sitting area with a coffee table. The heater was older and rather ugly, but put out good heat during Flagstaff's coldest snowy weather. The shower had adequate heat and pressure.

Review 12:It wasn't noted on the website that they would hold a 25.00 deposit

Review 13:Very modestly priced for just one night stay and very little time spent in motel

Review 14:BED BUGS that were on both our bed and our toddler's bed. It was completely disgusting. They gave us a refund which also seems rare compared to what other reviews have said. Also, there was a cash ONLY deposit that was just kind of sprung on us.

Review 15:The location was great, the staff wasn't rude which is rare for places with such a low price.

Review 16:At first, I stayed in the hotel itself, and no issues. I stayed in the little cottage and I got eaten up by bugs. Mostly mosquito bites but still.

Review 17:Very good location!

Review 18:Everything!!!!

Review 19:Nothing!!!! It was dirty and sheets weren't changed, toilet leaked, carpet was filthy, ac had dirty smelly filter. All in all your worst nightmare.

Review 20:Although it was affordable, I still think the price was too high for the quality of rooms. The bathroom was slightly dirty and things were falling apart left and right: the door, the shower head.

Review 21:It was affordable, and close to the main city life and other restaurants. It was a place to sleep.

Review 22:There was no heat with the overnight temperature as low as 32 degrees. We booked for 2 nights and the morning of the second day I inquired about the broken heater and was lied to when told they were switching the system over that day from a/c to heat. When we complained again we were told that we were cheap and there was no where else for us to stay.

Review 23:We had to call the police because of the aggressive, intimidating behaviour of the angry manager who began swearing at us, in our room, and blocking our doorway out. We had complained about dirty sheets and the price of the room. US$225 one day and apparently US$24 the next. Felt unsafe all night worried about retaliation from the manager. It is the kind of room where you sleep in your clothes for fear of bed bug bites.

Review 24:Room was very and a mean very bad for the money they chage. There was another hotel right next to it for the same price 500 times better than snow peak inn. My wife had to sleep with my daughter in the car because they didn't li

Review 25:Norhimg. And I mean nothing. I wish I can get my money back. This place should be close if all the rooms are the same as the one we got. Not even for free.

Review 26:We booked two separate rooms. In one the towels were dirty and thecharger plugs didn't work and we were the lucky ones. My friends inthe other room slept on the bed fully clothed because in one bed therewere pubic hairs and red spots and in the other bed there were organicfluid stains (lets put it this way). The carpet was soiled the bathroomwasn't very clean and the reception guy had a barbecue or somethinggoing on in the parking lot and our rooms smelled like gasoline.Terrible. Do not go here.

Review 27:It was awful experience. The front desk girl was in a pajamas, old furniture and everything had a smell, dirty sheets, the bathroom was old dirty and awful. I do not recommend to stay.

Review 28:nothing

Review 29:Would recommend that the door to the toilet/shower area swing out toward the sink area rather than into the toilet/shower area. Would also appreciate more flexibility on the position of the showerhead

Review 30:Clean room, comfortable bed and room temperature, good size fridge and freezer, good TV choices, comfortable couch, great massage on the shower head

Review 31:Pet odor was overwhelming in the double rooms, towels were old and had holes, carpet old and dirty, bed linens looked like they were not replaced.

Review 32:Reasonable price, location close to shopping, single rooms better than the double rooms.

Review 33:Room had no phones so was unable to reach front desk. My phone was dead by the time I got to my room and none of the outlets were working. My charger would fall out of the outlet. The beds smelled like urine. The pillows were not pillows but a sliver of cotton. The pillows smelled like urine as well. Heater was not working. It was freezing cold in the morning so I was unable to shower in the morning like I wanted to. The sink was plugged.

Review 34:Close to downtown Flaggstaff

Review 35:The room is so badly maintained and toilet door doesn't close at all. Foul smelling toilet and toilet tissues are the worst seen in my life.

Review 36:Location is good

Review 37:It was fine for us because we were just using passing through the town and needed someplace to sleep and picked one of the cheaper options. It's clean, it's in a neighborhood packed with other hotels, feels safe. No breakfast, but you get what you paid for.

Review 38:Everything! The room was extremely filthy and when I checked the bed itwas covered in bed bugs and their excrement! The lady in the officerefused to give me my money back until I threatened to call healthservices. I even took pictures of the bed.

Review 39:Nothing!

Review 40:fridge in room was on wood blocks. fridge was plugged up but hot. arrived only to have 4 cop cars pull in after as a room was being raided since the people inside the room wouldn't go to sleep. was told there is no housekeeping

Review 41:the smell, didn't feel that clean, bad towels - this property needs to be gutted and redone

Review 42:The location (close to NAU), price, and strong Wi-Fi signal

Review 43:The bed, linens, sofa, carpet and shower were soiled, stained and dirty. I was expecting a very basic, spartan, no frills room. I was disappointed in having to pay for a dirty room that was very worn and in disrepair (lights, shower).

Review 44:The location is convenient to N.A.U.

Review 45:wifi did not work

Review 46:Management: thez help me to resolve by phone a problem with my baggage (forgot some shirt in the last hotel) Thank you very much. :-)

Review 47:Things were fixed with tape. Bedsheets had holes in them. Chewing gum on the floor. Towels weren't clean.

Review 48:Location and cheap prices is what attracted us.

Review 49:no phone in room,no ice or ice machine,no clock/alarm,and no maid service after first night because you had to walk up to their office and request it and I was not told this.also no eating facilities

Review 50:The bathtub was dirty and also got clogged while taking a shower. Also, the carpet was a little damp and dirty. The price was also high for the inn.

Review 51:Comfortable Beds, Clean Towels and Sheets, Close to Historic Route 66

Review 52:I was very unsatisfied with the condition of the room. The sliding window in the second bedroom was smaller than the window opening so there was no way to lock the window from being opened. Because i have two small boys, i was completely uncomfortable the whole night due to the thought that someone could just enter my room while we slept. The bathtub/shower was not clean, so before we could shower and relax, my wife had to clean the tub.

Review 53:The rate and the bed were comfortable. We had the two queen bed room, and it was kind of nice that the two beds were in separate rooms.

Review 54:Nothing negative...just your basic, 1950's-1960's, remodeled-several-times-over, motor court. Bed, shower, TV. For 39 bucks, it's all I needed.

Review 55:TV worked, shower worked, bed was adequate (I slept all night!), no problems. Staff friendly. Great place for the VERY reasonable price, if you just need the basics.

Review 56:Needed an overnight stay on the way to Page, AZ....Cleanliness and comfort we vote zero because the sheets, pillows, and towels were all stained, torn, and nasty. Hotels/ motels should not be allowed to even use those sheets, towels, and pillows. Bed was not comfortable. All other hotels had no vacancies. Don't go to this motel. Overpriced and dirty.

Review 57:Front desk customer service was friendly and helpful.

Review 58:It was over priced the bed was filthy the sheets were unwashed. The shower had mold and one of the towels might have had blood on it.

Review 59:Nothing the place was disgusting

Review 60:It's a bit run-down and there was an unpleasant bug on the bedroom wall.

Review 61:It's in a convenient location; it's cheap and clean and the lady at the front desk was very nice.

Review 62:the carpet was dirty enough to stain my socks. My daughter found a hair in the bed. The plastic chair was gross. The couch had a broken leg and was merely balanced against the wall. Also, it blocked the air conditioner so we had to move it to get any air. Still was in the way, so the night was warm. Everything was old and used and grimy looking. Pillows were very thin, and only 3 on the bed for 2 people with no extras..

Review 63:Location. Has a fridge and micro.

Review 64:I do wish there had been facial tissue in the room. Oddly, there was no security chain on the door. However, it was not a bad neighborhood and I did not feel unsafe..

Review 65:It was conveniently located to my activity, it was quiet (may have heard a train in the night but it wouldn't have waked me if I'd been asleep, it had a fridge and microwave, and it was clean. Also, the wing with the rooms was behind the office, which cut street noise very substantially.

Review 66:Long term tenants were creepy, the room smelled like something died in it. Luckily I carry a bottle of Febreeze, which I almost emptied just to make the smell of the room tolerable. A party in the next room kept us up and the car alarms kept going off in parking lot. So make sure you have an excellent car alarm.

Review 67:Actual Queen Beds and a separator wall. Most places state Queen but they are really Double Beds. Close to many restaurants. Had a microwace and fridge.

Review 68:The man at the front desk was confusing and not helpful. Told us to tell him we had to request to get cleaning services by early in the morning or else our room wouldn't be cleaned. I thought that was weird. The room smelled like wet towels and the hotel didn't offer wifi.

Review 69:the staff was not friendly, check in was not overly smooth, and when we checked out - about 7 am or so- nobody was the desk. hopefully they got our key back.

Review 70:the location

Review 71:There was a broken window. The A/C and a vent were also broken, the maintenance man was drunk when he came to fix the vent. The bedding was ripped, outlets were scarce and there was none in the bathroom. There was scary looking people just hanging out there. The windows didn't lock. There was a very loud train that went by very half hour. The room was dirty and the customer service was HORRIBLE!

Review 72:Nothing

Review 73:Had booked the room online an hour before check in and it became apparent that although reasonably priced the Snow Peak Inn felt very unsafe. The room smelled funny and the groups of men loitering in the back car park was unsettling. The customer service was poor, felt unheard, and no refund offered...we had stayed for all of 5mins. This is by far the worst experience we had in USA

Review 74:Leaving Snow Peak was the highlight

Review 75:The neighbors that live in the hotel next to us were yelling all night. The door always open with people coming and going. They were up at 7 am drinking yelling, can causing drama. I wanted to leave but they weren't going to refund our money.

Review 76:The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in out of any hotel.

Review 77:Paid so much for a room that was so little, the TV had only one channel. No WiFi, had to use Ethernet cable behind door if I wanted to access the internet but only the office has the cables. Towels has holes and were dirty, and microwave was missing parts to properly function.

Review 78:The location.

Review 79:Dirty with drunk vagrants shouting and reeling us that we need to be prepared to defend ourselves. We tried to get a refund and they told us they might give us a partial which they never did. Don't stay here.

Review 80:No phone, no alarm clock, only one TV channel although advertising said phone, alarm clock and cable channels with an s. Ice machine wasn't working and temps wre in the upper 90 to 100 range. Gentleman at front was abrupt.

Review 81:The shower worked well.

Review 82:Appalling. Worst customer service and product I have ever received. Youcouldn't pay me to stay here again. Where to begin? First off, myfiancé and I chose this place because it was the last place in town withany vacancy. I didn't expect frills or a new tv or luxury sheets orparticularly gracious customer service -- it's an older motel inFlagstaff. I expected things to be outdated and a bit run-down, but alsoa basic level of cleanliness. We checked in and immediately went aboutour plans for the day. We returned for the night and found that our roomwas filthy. Examples: the carpet hadn't been vacuumed for weeks andhad some prior occupant's pretzels lying on it around the bed. Nobare feet possible in this room. There were strange hairs on theunwashed, musty sheets, which had clearly been last laundered withmostly bleach and left my skin itching, burning, and red throughout thenight. Also unpleasant -- the strong odor of human waste coming throughthe air vent, which at some point the management had tried to remedy bysticking a car air freshener through the vent slots (to no effect, obviously). It went away after a while but then just smelled like grimeand cigarettes. The windows had no locks, just a 1/4 inch dowel rod.The door lock was flimsy and there was no sealer around the door, leaving a large gap for noise, light, and bugs. Lots of shady lookingpeople hanging around the unlit parking lot. We just dealt with itbecause although there's supposedly staff on-site at the nightwindow or front office 24/7, all lights in both areas of the frontbuilding were off and no one was there (at least when we needed staff).I wanted to go sleep in the car but like I said, I didn't feel safe. The next morning we went into the bathroom for the first time thinking it couldn't get worse. Tile floor was even dirtier than the carpet, body hairs and general grime everywhere.

Review 83:Anything!!!!!? Pics from website doesn't match with reality.. Dirty sinks, stinky carpet had to ran to Walmart to but air freshener, room wasn't ready when I checked in (3:30pm) NO recommend this place

Review 84:Nothing!!! Not recommend specially for families with children's

Review 85:The entire experience. Like a scene out of a movie. You walk in, nobody there, you ring a bell and some smelly dude walks out "can I help you". He takes your info, you grab you keycard and you slowly walk up the creaking steps to a nasty old run down room. Worst room ever.

Review 86:Nothing. The place was an absolute dump.

Review 87:Beds uncomfortable, pillows flat, microwave cord to short to plugin had to put on broken dirty chair just to use it. Refrigerator doesn't get cold. Staff in office walks around barefooted. Would not recommend...

Review 88:No privacy when the curtains are open. Dark when they're closed. Bath had hair in it. Sink leaking a lot making the floor wet.

Review 89:Microwave and fridge in room. Nice view.

Review 90:Supposedly have 24 hour desk, but could not get anyone multiple times. They don't tell you that you will not get internet unless you come into the office and request it. No toilet paper. Really ratty towels, stained sheets, horrible mattress, worn floors and desk employee with a real attitude.

Review 91:Location, fridge, microwave. Internet was OK once I got hold of someone to get it turned on, but couldn't stream video.

Review 92:We're two families with young kids and booked two rooms. When we checked-in Bed for one room was wet hence we needed to request for room change. Thanks we got the new room. Room phone wasn't working, requested to fix it but no one showed up, so for any request we've to visit front desk. Blanked were teared, after first night there was no house keeping and we had to use the same towels again had to visit and then we had house keeping next day. When we complaint about all these issues front desk replied that you can check-out tomorrow if you don't like, but they were not willing to look into our problems. I don't recommend this place.

Review 93:Location is good.

Review 94:A little close to the Train tracks. Trying to get extra towels was like pulling teeth and no Wi-Fi.

Review 95:The price was reasonable, location other than a little close to the Train tracks.

Review 96:Bed was very hard and there wasn't a real sheet on the bed it was a top sheet used to cover the matteress but you get what you pay for and it was cheap cheap cheap!

Review 97:Friendly staff

Review 98:Nothing, tub full of paint and sparkle, body hair behind door in bathroom, tub did not drain and No heat. Our car was cles ranked and nicer than the room. Need to sleep find a camping spot or truck stop, you will be better off

Review 99:We had guests on the second floor that were a bit noisy. The outlets didn't charge our devices (controlled by light switch). No wifi.

Review 100:We loved the price, the separation of the two beds, and overall cleanliness. Shower was hot. The bed was comfortable for us not lumpy.

Review 101:We stay for two days and they didn' make the beds or take the trash out, also we were three people they give us only two towels,we have to askedfor toilet paper becouse we run out of it.

Review 102:The air conditioner.

Review 103:Bed was horrible for the price they could have a small continental breakfast. If they did have one it wasn't mentioned!!!!!!

Review 104:The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Service was great!!!!!!!

Review 105:Burns everywhere, the drapes, the sheets, the carpet. Paper thin walls people banging around all night. The bathroom was disgusting, the tub looked like someone used it to dissolve a body. Everything smelled like ciggarets. We couldn't sleep for fear of being murdered.

Review 106:The ice machine was out of order and so were the laundry facilities. The refrigerator temp control nob had been removed so I had to put my dinner leftovers in the freezer to get them cold enough to be safe.

Review 107:My three must haves--clean, quiet, and safe. I thought the bathroom floor looked dirty, but when I tested with a damp tissue and soap, it proved to be perfectly clean.

Review 108:The heater motor bearings were loud and obnoxious. The flat queen sheet did not fit the king bed, they have no fitted sheets for the mattresses. The loud parties, music, fighting and door slamming. I got 1 night sleep in 3.

Review 109:The staff was very accommodating. They tried to muffle the heater but loaned me a space heater. The staff got me a flat king sheet so I could at least cover the mattress. The staff was very nice. Amenities are close by with a 50's diner across the street.

Review 110:The motel was centrally located to what I was there for. It also fit my budget. I didn't expect a perfect room for the money I paid. The staff was very helpful.

Review 111:It kind of had a dingey smell, and kind of like smoke or cigarettes.. pther than the smell of the room it was good.

Review 112:It was a good price for one night stay.. just for a bed to sleep on, a shower and sink to clean up with. Pretty acceptable.

Review 113:Towels were very old and with wholes. Sheets were the same way! Shower curtain smelled terrible! They never ever went to the room not once to replace anything!

Review 114:Location

Review 115:This place is nasty, everyone is on drugs, the staff is very rude! Theguy that runs the place named Dom Oscar very rude, the place has bedbugs and I told him that amd he smacked his lips and told me to go Toaddifferent motel, my wife will never stay there again due to notfelling safe to walk outside to the car without druggies trying to askher of she has drugs, the rooms have mold, This place is really a dumpand should be shut down,

Review 116:Oooops see above

Review 117:No hot water 1 wash cloth Dirty sheets Holes in blanket. Peeling paint ac cover was off. Staff lied to try to convince me to stay another night.Other than that, it was a bed and T.V.

Review 118:No coffee maker, room smelled like cigarettes. Also, make sure you bring your own toiletries and hair dryer. Towels are very thin.

Review 119:Inexpensive rates ($30/night off peak), easy parking, walk to Safeway and Galaxy Diner, nice mini-fridge and microwave, nice staff.

Review 120:The fridge didn't work....I did without it anyway.

Review 121:It was a nice, cool place, close to many shops and especially NAU. I'm a graduate student of NAU from Nigeria and Snow Peak Inn was a very good place to stay during my school orientation while I searched for an apartment to rent. Staff was good especially the Front desk people- very helpful and were willing to answer any questions. My room was quite clean, it's just that the fridge didn't work (I didn't need it anyway...lol).Plus you get value for your money. Altogether it's a very nice place, well located, clean and very cheap too.

Review 122:We payed over $160.00 for a room that in off season would be lucky to get $50.00. We arrived to a room in 20 degree weather that had no heat on. The first hour I was in the room I had to keep my jacket and outside clothing on. The bathroom did not have a real door and the soap was dispensed via a public bathroom style dispenser.

Review 123:It was a good size and close to town.

Review 124:No heat in room, bathtub was clogged.. Had us switch rooms and told is we would not have a room for a few hours.. Second room bathtub was clogged again. Two bathtubs were clogged. One room no heat and it was 20 degrees outside

Review 125:For the price, I don't think there should be many complaints, just not the cleanest place I've stayed, however, totally doable for a night.

Review 126:Friendly staff, good price, felt safe

Review 127:It wasn't clean, the bed, carpet,, shower curtain was stained and smelled. The towels were stained. Some shady characters lived there, it was extremely uncomfortable.

Review 128:The price, but you get what you pay for :-(

Review 129:The cigarette smell in one of the rooms even though it is non smoking room. And the room service is not efficient.

Review 130:It was clean, just what we need to spend the night.

Review 131:The room is a bit small, but nothing strange it's a motel... the place is old and the room stink a bit!!! There is a lot of really wierd people staying in that motel and i will definatenly not go there anymore!!!

Review 132:The misleading negative reviews. I nearly didn't book because of the false negative reviews. Travelers who complained about the hotel, "freely" chose the absolute cheapest hotel in Flagstaff and then complained. They had every opportunity to pay DOUBLE and get their 1,200 count Egyptian cotton sheets somewhere else.

Review 133:Fact - the next cheapest hotels were literally nearly double. I had a huge kingsize bed, 3 seater sofa, mini fridge, cable TV, and WIFI. This hotel is MUCH more centrally located than other budget hotels and a quick drive to restaurants.
