Reviews for Yedi Bilgeler Vineyards

Review 1:The reception was closed (maybe due to new year), the person in charge of it was very unwelcoming. Instead of listening to what we were saying, they just did as they pleased. With a better management, it would be a great destination, that's just sad...

Review 2:The facility is beautiful, the restaurant and the food is great. The staff in the restaurant is very helpful and friendly.

Review 3:Leaving

Review 4:It was quiet, the location is superb and the staff just wonderful. Oh and did I mention the food and wine and the fact that we booked last minute with a big discount. The perfect place towards the end of a long trip.

Review 5:The location of the property is in such a peaceful space that is ideal for any relaxation, fun or travel. The people are very warm hearted and the food is very good .

Review 6:seems to be more focussed on larger bus groups than on individual travelleres (staff were very friendly but it was always hard to find one) restaurant relative expensive in comparisom to other local options

Review 7:super location with stunning view great swimming pool AND excellemt wine very relaxing

Review 8:Not a bad experience but on arrival it was confusing knowing how to get to the hotel , maybe clearer illuminated signs ?

Review 9:Peaceful environment Some staff were exceptional and could offer more training to those who would benefit Grateful thanks for the Immediate help with my car which had a flat battery.

Review 10:The hotel has a lot going for it, but there are a number of inconveniences that detracted from our stay - first we stayed near the pool which actually was not the room we booked and I wish they had explained this. Second the amenities in the room were not quite as described (only two bathroom towels, no hand towels or wash clothes, absolutely nothing like soap, paper towels or anything for the kitchenette). Third, the wi-fi was down the whole time with no explanation or assistance offered. Fourth, staying by the pool meant you could not access the full menu for room service which was inconvenient for us - and just should have been explained upon check-in.

Review 11:We stayed here primarily to visit Ephesus and the location really is wonderful - also within striking distance of both Selcuk and Kusadasi if you care to venture into those towns. The grounds and the pool are really lovely and breakfast was outstanding.

Review 12:However the service of the hotel is really unprofessional and bad.

Review 13:The hotel is beautiful and room is very clean , the surrounding of the hotel is really nice.

Review 14:Power issues & changing rooms.

Review 15:The restaurant was stand out. One of the best meals we ate in Turkey. Wine lovely also. Views, surroundings, room, balcony & pool also a highlight.

Review 16:The rooms and the pool are quite distant from the restaurant. It is about 5 minutes walk, so not convenient when kids are sleeping and you want to go to the restaurant

Review 17:The location is amazing and the pool beautiful, the food is great too and the staff helpful and friendly. Probable the best hotel i have been to during my 2 weeks stay in Turkey

Review 18:We were very well received. The hotel is great and a very good place for relaxing if you're taking a trip around turkey (a good starting or finishing spot). The owner and staff were very friendly. We were traveling with the family and one of our rooms was upgraded, but I must say that all the rooms are of very good quality. I highly recommend dinning here and drinking a local bottle of wine. The price is very good also

Review 19:Water pressure and temperature in the shower and toilet was very poor. Drainage was also very slow. More utensils and equipment in the kitchen would have been useful.

Review 20:Lovely vineyard and beautiful spot. Room was large with lovely private terrace. Pool area was very nice. Excellent food and wine and friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay!

Review 21:Lovely place, perfect for visiting Ephesus (5min drive) or just relax and enjoy the place, friendly staff, nice restaurant, we would definitively go back !

Review 22:We chose this accommodation as a bit of time out after two weeks travel in turkey. And I had read about their great restaurant and winery. We just loved the accommodation, food and wine. It was the best we had experienced in Turkey. We had the the Classic suite (room 601). It had amazing views of the winery and countryside from inside and the large balcony. The room/apartment was incredibly spacious, and beautifully furnished in light tones. It has a small kitchen area with full sized fridge, kettle and toaster - but no cooking facilities. It was upstairs in the main building across from the restaurant area. The pool and other accommodation was about 300 meters away. We found the staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 23:The beautiful countryside, the great buildings, the fabulous restaurant, friendly staff and the super fine wine! It had everything I love in a place to stay. Minutes from Epheusus.

Review 24:This is a little gem. The vineyard, hotel, and restaurant were very satisfying. We relaxed at the pool and walked over to the restaurant for some delicious food and wine. The room was also very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Review 25:The wifi in our room was unreliable. The connection was strong in the restaurant, so I brought my computer to breakfast and connected at that time.

Review 26:This is a great option if you looking to explore more rural areas of Turkey. This vineyard is situated within some stunning landscapes. What's great is that despite is remoteness, the vineyard is very accessible - it's located just 500 meters south of the Camluk train station on the Izmir to Denizli line of the TCDD train. We took a train from Izmir to Camluk (one stop past Selcuk) for around 6 Turkish Liras. There are many local buses that can take you from nearby Camluk to neighboring areas, including Selcuk and Ephesus. The staff often drove us to the nearby bus stations and were eager to inform us of how to get to various places. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our dinner at the vineyard restaurant was excellent, and the wine was great too. Note: certain areas of the vineyard, including the pool, are not open in the winter. This shouldn't stop you from booking here. Highly recommended.

Review 27:Everything was fantastic, it is a great place to have a relax, to enjoythis beautifull wineary and nice people. Food and wine in restaurantwas outstanding. Also the staff... We were on the cocnert of greekmusic and we met owners of this wineary - they are great people. Bestregards to all :-)

Review 28:My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary by staying at Yedi, and had the most incredible experience there! We booked the classic suite and were upgraded to the suite for a nominal difference. The view is breathtaking! The air is so fresh. The staff are extremely hospitable, helpful, and sweet! They provided us a wine tour and taste. The wines are delicious! We bought 8 bottles before we left! Any questions we had they provided answers and suggestions. They were extremely helpful on providing directions and how to get around the city. The food at the restaurant is amazing! From the appetizers, to the lamb, steak, duck, dessert are delicious! My boyfriend and I could not stop ordering and eating! We are extremely happy we spent our anniversary at Yedi. Great value for your money, and we definitely plan on returning back!

Review 29:Still a bit of a work in progress-grounds etc.. Bit pricey for Turkey-dinner especially.

Review 30:Lovely setting/views Excellent pool/outdoor area Convenient base for Selcuk/Ephesus

Review 31:A lovely location in beautiful surroundings very close to Ephesus and all the other sights.. We stayed in the Classic Suites which were like little apartments - nicely private and beautifully done. The staff were very friendly and very helpful - were waiting for us to arrive and the kitchen staff also waited for our arrival and made us a most delicious dinner! The rooms were beautifully done and everything possible was done to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to explore Ephesus and we will certainly return here if we are ever in the area again. Make sure you have dinner here at least once - we had dinner twice and it was amazing! Breakfasts were also lavish and delicious! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!!

Review 32:Nothing - it was all perfect!

Review 33:The suite was out of this world; we had to change rooms because of a problem with the aircon but the second suite we had was just as lovely. Staff could not have been kinder when my partner felt unwell; I had a wonderful relaxing time by the pool while he slept. The restaurant is great and they kindly bring out shawls for your shoulders in case the night air is too cool! The wine, needless to say, is great. Ayberk also very kindly took us to see Ephesus and is a great and knowledgeable guide. Three nights were perfect; we most certainly will be back.

Review 34:Nothing

Review 35:We stayed here for two nights in order to visit Ephesus from here. It was the best decision we made, after a hot day of visiting the site it was so relaxing to come back to. The location for Ephesus is perfect, took us no more than 10 minutes to drive there. It was another 10 minutes to Selcuk, if you prefer to eat there in the evening or shop etc. The rooms and facilities are all brand new, very tastefully designed and rooms well appointed. Although there is still some landscaping going on, ( this can not be done overnight, as some people's comments seem to think!) it does not detract. There is a lovely swimming pool, views, and their wines are very palatable! we enjoyed their restaurant as a change from kebabs..more refined. The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind. As a previous reviewer has stated, a stay here is a no brainer! If you do not have your own transport it can be reached easily enough by train or dolmus or bus.

Review 36:Brand new hotel still working out some kinks - dirt on the path, a smell issue in our first room. A little out of the way for seeing sites, but not too bad.

Review 37:Beautiful peaceful setting. Food was very good. Fun to be at a winery - different than being at a standard hotel.

Review 38:Some of the staff have very little English - while we were always able to get our point across it was a challenge on some occasions; there was a double booking problem with the suite we had reserved, but thankfully we were able to come to an acceptable arrangement to compensate us for the mix-up

Review 39:Grand suite is amazing, with terrific balcony; restaurant is delicious with a lot of good options; the local wine made there is quite good too, especially the rose and chardonnay; very convenient location to many of the top tourist sites and beaches in the area

Review 40:Loved our stay, rooms are beautifully decorated with access to a fab pool overlooking the vineyards. Had an amazing dinner, highly recommended. Late checkout was no problem and we felt very welcome to stay as long as we needed.

Review 41:The only draw back is the kitchen in the suite, it is huge but only has a kettle and an enormous fridge freezer, no toaster, no cutlery, no bottleopener/corkscrew,

Review 42:Everything

Review 43:Nothing!

Review 44:We loved the hotel and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and the hotel itself were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The scenery was magnificent and you especially appreciate this from the restaurant and pool area. The food was excellent; I especially enjoyed the duck dishes and the wine they produce from their vineyards is more than palatable...a big thanks to the staff there for making our stay so enjoyable! Would definitely recommend!!!

Review 45:Not one thing.

Review 46:Very attention staff New accommodation chalets set around beautiful pool with views across hills. Excellent restaurant and lovely local wines Close to Esphesus and local attractions however you will need a car.

Review 47:EXCELLENT FRIENDLY STAFF AND LOCATION

Review 48:The vineyard, the view.

Review 49:It seemed we had to ask to have our room cleaned which was a bit odd.

Review 50:The views.

Review 51:Nothing!!!

Review 52:Everything!!!

Review 53:Beautiful pool looking out over vineyards; good location for Ephesus and other sites; helpful staff

Review 54:Limited breakfast option, limited wine selection

Review 55:Good location, lovely decoration

Review 56:Beautiful location, friendly staff and great food and wines. The large pool was perfect to cool down after a long day visiting ruins in Epheseus.

Review 57:Everything is perfect ,nice view ,good food, friendly working stuff! Had an unforgettable experience there!

Review 58:may new decoration with smelling, hope it will be better in future

Review 59:Very appreciate location and environment

Review 60:A bit remote

Review 61:Service, wine, atmosphere & view

Review 62:See above

Review 63:Well intentioned but hopeless- hot water problems, internet problems, noise problems. Stupidly expensive- stay away.

Review 64:The Hotel was very nice, and the staff was wonderful. Nice wine too! I highly recommend this hotel.

Review 65:Breakfast, Service

Review 66:Rural location Restaurant for dinner

Review 67:Far from City but good weather

Review 68:Good Dinner Good price

Review 69:Excellent food

Review 70:We had to go back home;-)

Review 71:Food, wine, room, staff, pool, ...everything!

Review 72:Location was fantastic with a great view.

Review 73:The wifi in the swimming pool block did not work but I'm sure this will be rectified as time goes on.

Review 74:To stay on a secluded vineyard in Turkey was a unique and unusual idea that happened to us by chance and Yedi Bilgeler met our every expectation. The service team led by Ayberk Akdeniz the manager was very friendly, helpful and efficient and the food in the restaurant was excellent with the best Turkish breakfast that we had on our whole trip. Its location ten minutes away from the historic ruins of Ephesus and the small town of Selcuk couldn't be more convenient. A real unexpected bonus was the new block of rooms which had just been opened next to a brand new swimming pool. We chose to stay there and the experience of swimming in a empty pool full of blue light under a full moon and full glass of red in hand with the vineyard stretching away in the darkness is one that will stay with me forever !!

Review 75:Finishing touches have not been completed in newly built hotel rooms. Eg Stonewalls have not been washed so are very dusty. Problems with water pressure. Paths from restaurant to accommodation need to be concreted. We couldn't help but walk sand into rooms.

Review 76:Beautiful setting, comfy bed, delicious meals, helpful staff

Review 77:The shower head was so high that the water went over the shower wall, flooding the bathroom

Review 78:The staff was so nice, offered to take us on a tour of Ephesus and gave us tips for restaurants in selcuk and near the winery. The area by the pool looks great and has a really nice view.

Review 79:Had to ask for duvet as the single sheet was not enough. Shower fitting faulty.

Review 80:The food was outstanding & the chef was excellent The staff were very friendly & helpful. the ambience of property was very good. The location was handy to Ephesus & Selcuk & Dilek National Park. The site was very big & we had more than enough room. Generally excellent over all.

Review 81:Beautiful boutique hotel set amidst a newly-established (2011) winery. A quiet and rustic setting, it is a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding ancient sites. The restaurant is also very good, offering continental fare with a Turkish twist (try the stuffed duck). The hotel is expensive compared to other places in the region, but well worth it. Highly recommended.

Review 82:The food and wine were fantastic and Ayberk the manager of the vineyard was welcoming, had excellent local knowledge and advice about visiting local sites. We could easily have stayed longer and particularly liked the Dilek nature reserve, a lovely escape. Thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable.

Review 83:Loved absolutely everything! The setting is secluded, the buildings inspiring (I took many pictures, hoping to incorporate some of the architectural features in my retirement home so day!), and the service absolutely impeccable!!! Memet met us at our car upon our arrival, calling the hotel manager so he could welcome us over the phone, and the chef stayed on-site to prepare dinner for (only) us! The wine was delicious (we even ordered a second bottle), and Memet offered first-class service as he served us our meal. (I'm still raving to my husband about how excellent he was and how the service exceeded my expectations - not an easy thing to do!) After dinner, Memet escorted us to our room, building a roaring fire for us, as we had inquired about using the fireplace in the room. We were able to select a personal breakfast time - best breakfast we had during our twelve-day vacation, during which Memet offered sight-seeing information. Its close proximity to Ephesus (a must-see site) and world-class service make Yedi Bilgeler a no-brainer! We will most definitely stay here again when in the area!!

Review 84:Nothing.

Review 85:We were upgraded to a suite. We felt like millionaires. Close to tourist sites like Ephesis. Excellent wines. Very helpful staff. Great setting.

Review 86:Loved it! Phantastic atmosphere. Excellent wine! Excellent food, perfect menu. Beautiful building. Professional service, excellent staff. Rooms concept and design was very nice and very clean. One day is not enought for this place. I can not forget the delicious breakfast. Staff was really friendly and show us all vineyard and gave us very good suggestions. I will come back again. Thanks to Yedi Bilgeler!!!

Review 87:Breakfast was average based on comparing other hotels for this price in Turkey.

Review 88:Accommodations were excellent, beautiful view. Setting was spectacular among vineyard. Staff was very sweet, but little English and not a lot of help for a tourist. Worth the money for accommodations.

Review 89:I agree about the bathroom the shower tray needed to be deeper. But just a minor thing.

Review 90:Room was wonderful, food was delicious especially the rice with pine nuts and raisins and the chocolate souffle was worth the whole visit to Turkey all on its own!

Review 91:Bathroom looks great but not practical water all over the floor when having a shower

Review 92:The place was really lovely, the staff friendly and their wine and food very good.

Review 93:no privacy on balcony, no sign on main road, hard to find;

Review 94:setting in vineyard very pleasant; quiet; very clean nice size room; good dinner, promising wine

Review 95:Excellent location - we used Yedi Bilgeler as base to explore the area. Staff are friendly and try their best despite limited English capability. Wine still young, but enjoyable with great potential to improve with time. Food is great!

Review 96:Bathroom was a little small and pokey.

Review 97:The food was excellent - we had fabulous Turkish breakfasts, with fresh, local ingredients that set us up for a day exploring Ephesus. Dinnerswere also fantastic - as was the wine that is produced on the vineyard.Service and staff were friendly and efficient.

Review 98:The bathrooms were fairly small and it was hard to keep water inside theshower area.

Review 99:The vineyard hotel was absolutely beautiful. Makes you feel like you arein a small village. The views and scenery were outstanding. The staffwas very polite and accommodating. Had a delicious meal our first nightthere. The wine was excellent as well. Each morning a deliciousbreakfast was prepared specifically for us and not a buffet as otherhotels have. The beds were very comfortable. We were out of town fromSelcuk just far enough to not hear the early morning call to prayer, butclose enough that the drive was very short to Ephesus. All in all, ourstay was very pleasant and enjoyable.

Review 100:The service the food the wine the view and comfort

Review 101:Great hospitality, food and wine.

Review 102:Provence atmosphere in Turkey the wine really very good some of the bestwe have tasted in Turkey !

Review 103:Breakfast not included. No phones, no hot water,no satellite tv.

Review 104:View, design,cleanliness

Review 105:Location was beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful! Dinner was also fantastic! The wine they had to taste was great :)
