Review 1：The electrical system needs to be updated. More lamps that work and the provided coffee pot leaked. Kind of hard to find.
Review 2：We enjoyed the hot tub, the pool, the sauna, the room was spacious and clean. All in all a very good value for the time we spent.
Review 3：Stairs in general were in pretty bad shape. Some stairs were closed for future maintenance, I believe. There a were a little scary. Continental breakfast needs a lot of improvement and a place to eat it would be great. It will make the hotel a lot more compatible with other offers of room and breakfast included.
Review 4：The room has a partial view of the ocean that was actually better than I expected. The courtesy of the staff and the prompt response when we need help watching a DVD was outstanding. The room was super clean when we arrived. We also loved the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna all in the same place.
Review 5：The toilet was so close to the tissue dispenser that you have a hard time using it. Dispenser needs to be relocated. There were no screens on windows so it was dangerous. We stayed 2 nights and when room was cleaned they did not replace all of the dirty towels. There was no security chain on door. Looked like it had been broken. Room needs some tlc.

Review 13：I didn't like that we used the bathroom right when we got there and it clogged first thing. I didn't like that the TV didn't face the bed it was in a bad spot. I didn't like that I could see the beach from the bed . It would have been wonderful if the bed was just moved to a spot across from the TV I could have seen the beach and the TV but it was facing the other way. It was a pretty good stay and my children loved it just the room when you get a view you want to be able to see it

Review 19：The "best room in the hotel" was truly that. In fact, it's the most comfortable, clean, quiet, well-designed room we've ever stayed in. We will definitely be back!
Review 20：The room was about half the size of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was about 8 x 10. It was clean which was very important to me so I give lots of points for that. The bed really hurt my back. It's been 3 nights since we stayed there and my back is still very sore. If you need a firm bed do not stay at this hotel. I have a back strain so my back doesn't like when a bed is too "squishy". The small fridge kept turning on and off so it woke me up all night. The curtains were really good at blocking out the light but also made it claustrophobic. A younger person or couple might not mind these things. It only cost $80 so you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
Review 21：We made our reservation in the morning of the day we checked in so we were glad we had a place to sleep. It only cost $80. We used our AAA card and got 10% off, a nice perk. We could walk to the beach which was just about 20 feet from the hotel and we could walk to the restaurants and shops. Also a big plus.

Review 24：Loud ticking timer ruined any mood the fireplace would have set. Dirty windows that had to be fought open, ill-fitting carpet, a tub stopper that had to be held open in order to drain, and generally poor maintenance all around the property (rotted railings, patched walls, blistered doors, broken stairs) left me with a feeling that this was once a great place to stay, and may be again some day. Today it is a good place to drop your stuff and go play in Seaside, but that's it.
Review 25：The location was nice, and I liked the front office staff. The breakfast was decent for a continental. I liked that you could buy firewood and smores stuff in a bundle, and the map of the town we got was nice too.

I did not call the office to have someone repair as the dogs would bark and wake up my granddaughter. Besides you can't have a room cleaned at 10pm. I reported all before I left but no manager contacted me. I commented on their website and no one responded to me.

Review 36：Outside areas were a bit run down in appearance. Especially around the stairwells and walkways. Light fixtures only had a single bulb in all fixtures. but overall it was bright enough so perhaps that was a cost savings measure.

Review 38：I wandered a while looking for the ice machine. The sign on the 3rd floor, said it was located on the first floor, so I followed the sign on the first floor and found no ice machine. It ended up being on the 2nd floor after searching.
Review 39：The front desk staff were very friendly. I loved the map of local restaurants and things to do, and that she explained and/or had an opinion of them to share. I also loved that our room had a fireplace. (We will have to return for a stormy beach trip!)
Review 40：If you have a pet they were only allowed on the ground floor.( which we were never told until after check in). The ground floor only has the heavy curtains. You had to close them so anyone walking by couldn't look right into your room. So it felt like you were in a dark dungeon. You need to add a lighter curtain, so you can close that but can still see outside..

And we were ther over the weekend for the car show, and again felt that the bed needed to be firmer. On a newer, firmer bed! Everything else, gets an A+

After finally getour room, I asked about aarp discounts--she said yes, we do have thosebut you have to call us ahead of time because we can't touch theprices. What? I'm sure you can jack them up but you can't lowerthem? We didn't pay online, we just reserved online. After checkingin, there were no kleenex in the room. I thought okay, they're busy,maybe later. The next morning, we left our bath towels on the floor andI left the empty kleenex box on top of them, hoping that would jar theirmemory. We came back to the room, clean towels but still no kleenex. Iwent to the front desk, the gentleman there was accommodating. Earlierthe same morning, I was at the office to get some breakfast, someone hadspilled a cup of coffee, juice or whatever on the floor right in frontof the front desk counter, I told the front desk attendant, she replied,i'm so swamped right now, i'll get to it when I have time.Really? When we first checked in, we noticed an awful smell in thebathroom, like sewer, wrote it off at first, but kept smelling itthrough our whole visit....then we figured out why. Whenever someonenext door used their shower the water was backing up into our bathtub!!I informed the front desk. Although, this is an old resort, that ismostly what we end up staying at when we are at the beach. We havestayed at the tides by the sea. And at high tide, they are olderresorts, but we were happy there. I found most of the front desk staffto be very rude. I understand they are busy, but we were all payingcustomers and deserve to be treated respectfully, no matter what.

Review 139：We had or check in time from 3-4 and didn't get our room until 5:45. With a 6 hour drive and a 2 yr old it would have been nice to relax in a room for his nap time. Also the indoor pool was cold the first night, but the second night it was nice and warm.
Review 140：Very clean grounds and rooms. Staff was friendly and would help right away. The batteries in the remote went out, and by the time my husband got back to the room there was someone right behind him to come fix it.
