Review 1：We stayed for two nights. If We need to say just in one word to describe the whole atmosphere it would be AMAZING! Janko is unbelievable good host, the food is incredible and domestic, the whole house and the rooms are beautiful and very tasteful furnished. You can very easily find a way to the house with a new road signs. Our best recommendations!!!

Review 6：From the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Janko we knewthat Rooms Pomona was a special place. From the beautifully decoratedrooms, to the little piece of paradise in the garden and the sanctuaryof the spa the attention to detail is outstanding. Each room is namedafter a fruit. We stayed in the apple room which is a studio apartment.The room is very spacious with a lovely kitchenette and dining area.Each room also has a balcony. The bed was so comfortable a sound nightssleep is guaranteed. The breakfast was served in a separate buildingjust a short walk across the driveway. The dining room is bursting withcharacter, with memorabilia from olden times. The personal touch isheart warming with old family photos adorning the walls. The realhighlight of our stay was the host!! Janko is an exceptional host. Hegives his guests his time. On arrival he gave us a tour of the wholeproperty and then a relaxed cup of coffee as Janko went through tips ofplaces to visit in the area. It is clear to see that he has put hisheart into the propery but has also given it soul and a homeliness,comfort and energy that was not surpassed anywhere else we stayed duringour 2.5 weeks in Slovenia. The breakfast was a feast of homemadepreserves, baked bread and home baked pastries. We loved our stay andwould have gladly stayed longer if we could! The property is a short 5mins drive from Rogaska Slatina. It is located a quiet area surroundedby beautiful trees. A day trip to the Minorite monastery and one of theoldest pharmacies in Europe is highly recommended. A meal in Jorge’srestaurant in Rogaska is also a must do but only after you have sampledJanko’s own culinary delights at Pomona. Don’t leave Slovenia withoutstaying in this magical place. ….Head and shoulders above thecompetition!!!

Review 8：We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here Our host Janko made us feel very much at home, and cooked us a delicious dinner in the evening. This is a gem we wanted to see what a 9.8 rating looked like and it deserves every point.

Review 9：This place is owned by a devoted guy that invest his life in this place. He grow fruits there and offer home made wine and juices. Very worm hospitality. The house is isolated in a forest, yet close to town.

Review 10：Yanko is a person whose dream was to provide the ultimate in service to his guests and he does so distinctively. We alreay stayed at Pomona twice. Quiet location with gym, jaccuzzi, saunas, swimming pond and more. Excellent food, excellent wines. Detailed advice and directions to places in vicinity and around Slovenia. Above all - Yanko himself and every member of his staff instantly become friends. On our trip we came back to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary there.

Review 13：The best place we found in Slovenia! Excellent room and bathroom, very good homemade food and breakfast and wine and pearjuice... An astonishing pool, like a pond! The owner is more than welcoming and very helpful, taking time for his guests!

Review 14：We found it very hard to find. No sign on the main road and the road it is on does not have a name either. We tried phone/google but couldn't get reception, very frustrating driving up and down roads searching. The description says you can dine there. We were exhausted from our travel and looked forward to having a quiet evening but were told that meals are not every night so we had to go out to the spa town which is not that close. You should check this in advance if you wish to dine in. The room is basic like a ski chalet and the balcony overlooked an empty pond/plastic liner. The door for room on the ground floor is beside the entrance door and 2 other bedroom doors these opening and shutting is very loud and obtrusive. I can only describe them as like jail doors slamming. I do not understand why the construction does this but it might be that the actual bedroom door is not solid/soundproof. The food was average in my opinion , my wife thought it below average which I think is a bit harsh.

Review 15：The owner is very welcoming and obliging but seems to be doing everything himself which means he is trying to deal with several guests at once. Welcome drink and cake - very nice. Location is several miles into the country from the main road.

Review 16：Janko, the owner, is a wonderful host whose passion for providing the best experience possible during your stay is self-evident. The new pool area is beautiful. Best night sleep in our 18 day trip. Meat-eating boys loved Slovenian breakfast.

Review 17：The only thing is the location - it's a beautiful place but you've got to have a car, basically, or really really love walking. We did pass bus stops nearby but never once saw an actual bus. It's not hard to find if you can read a map :)

Review 18：Too many things to like so I'll try and list them: The owner, Janko, already lauded in other reviews (he is a great guy after all - unprompted, he set up a meeting with another UK couple who already live in the area as we want to move out there one day). The Wine (8 Euros for a litre of excellent local wine) The Food (12 Euros for a three course dinner, always amazing and plenty of it). The newly built swimming pool. The hammocks in the trees. The amazing whirlpool bath, mini-gym and saunas in the basement of the gratefully air-conditioned house. The helpful staff, Andrea in particular. The bird houses and bug hotels. The self-evident care and dedication to providing one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The surrounding countryside and amazing views. Just book in and see for yourself.

Review 22：The rooms were unique, beautifully appointed, modern and built with class and lovely fittings with the use of gorgeous timber. Beds were so comfortable, wifi excellent, meals dinner and breakfast stunning and our owner host and his wife were magnificent. So helpful when it came to local knowledge and knowledge of Slovenia in general. We were only staying one night but changed our minds once we saw just how lovely this place was, recommend to anybody even the hard to please travellers will love this piece of paradise.

Review 34：Pomona is designed with love and great taste. Janko, the owner is the warmest, most helpful, energetic and enthusiastic person. He took great care of us, suggested wonderful places to visit, shared his delicious food and wine with us, set up most relaxing spa experience downstairs. We loved our room and all amenities and really enjoyed exploring this beautiful area of Slovenia and Croatia nearby: rolling hills, castles, spas, museums.

Review 35：The WLAN didn't reach the breakfastroom. Seriously, how can I eat without being able to check my mails? It's devastating! (The room is a great place to plan activities, having an internet connection would help :) )

Review 36：Everything! Janko, the owner, just started out, fulfilling his dream of having the best guest house ever. And he is doing a great job! The house is wonderful, still new and lovingly decorated. His rooms even have a fruit theme and are painted and decorated accordingly. The beds are great, the shower hot, and the spa area is amazing! There are big hotel chains who could never achieve the kind of relaxing atmosphere you can get in Janko's basement. He has a whirlpool, three saunas, a Kneipp area to cool your feet off (with a legitimate oldfashioned waterpump!), a resting place and a massage room (highly recommended and affordable). The house itself is away from Rogaska Slatina in a smaller town, so you sleep like in heaven. A very, very quiet heaven. You have breakfast (and dinner, if you want (and who wouldn't?)) in a seperate house, also lovingly decorated. Everything looks a bit oldfashioned (except the bathrooms) but is actually full of modern technology! (Let Janko explain, he loves that part.) The food is mostly homemade (or at least bought from farms etc. nearby) and tastes great! Usually Janko will charmingly fill you up with the housewine (yum!) or his homemade schnaps (yumyum!) and then lets you try one of his newest creations (tomato-bread, fruit pie...). I think we gained 10 pounds in 3 days. We got a lot of help with our activities and he even picked us up when we got hopelessly lost (Tourists, eh?). Thanks again for that! So, long story short: If only we didn't have to drive 1500 km for a visit, I would drop by and eat through his homemade pies, hams, tomatos and soups and drink all of his schnaps every week. Janko, you are "super" :D

Review 38：First of all you get sth you cannot buy. It is the host's attitude. Very interesting person, optimistic full of fantastic ideas regarding his accomodation . Atmosphere is great there and rooms are luxury and comfortable, quiet, you can really relax there. I like the style, well design in every single detail. If you want to relax and get to know Slovenian hospitability it is the best place for you.

Review 40：We visited the place with my wife for one night only, but we are willing to go back for some more time, since we liked the room and the environment very much. Nice place to relax, very well designed brand new guesthouse with beautiful rooms, and friendly landlord waited us looking for out wishes. Offered tasty welcome drink they made from their own fruits as well most of the breakfast was home made. Perfect value for our money. We had no time to try the sauna and the wellness services, next time we won't miss it. Take my recommendation.

Review 41：My wife and I enjoyed our stay a lot - this is the best guesthouse we have ever been to! Clean rooms, friendly host, calm surroundings and sauna with jauzzi - this is what you get for a very good price. I would love to get there again. Моей жене и мне очень понравилося этот гостевой дом. Review 45：Coming from a hospitality and tourism background and having worked in a 5 star property for many years and having stayed in many different types of accommodation through our travels I write this review with great joy. Rooms Pomona is a beautiful little hidden gem just outside the town of Rogaska Slatina. On arrival in the very late evening, Janko the owner was eagerly waiting for us and I with open arms. We had been worried that we might not be able to find the place & arrive too late but our trusty navigation and well marked signs took us to his door step. The hotel was everything and more. The rooms were clean & spacious, toiletries provided as well as a good hair dryer. The best part of the room would have to be mattress, one can definitely get a very good night sleep as it was just so comfortable. My husband said he could have slept the whole day. We also made use of the wellness area and enjoyed a very relaxing massage. Breakfast each morning consisted of freshly home baked bread, cakes, self made jams and fruit from their orchard. Sliced meat is also cured by them and the cheese is from a local farmer. For coffee lovers he also has espresso coffee ;) In the evenings a delicious cold meat plater can also be arranged accompanied with wines from the local area and Janko's own brandy. Janko is the perfect host - nothing was a problem for him. He goes out of his way to make his guests feel right at home at his beautiful, quaint agritourism hotel. He organised a wine degustation for us of vineyards from the local area and gave us great site seeing tips of the local area and beautiful castles in Croatia. Through Janko's great hospitality we met other guests with whom we enjoyed fun evening dinners with. We love the place so much that we have already booked our return stay with two other guests before word gets out of this beautiful hidden gem ;) Thank you Janko and Vesna for a wonderful stay.

Review 48：Small hotel situated in a prime location. Equipped with all the comforts, new, clean, with comfortable and well-furnished rooms with a balcony. The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The welcome was excellent, we were offered local products of very good quality. The place is very quiet and relaxing and is just the center. His position allows you to take long walks and enjoy moments of relaxation. E 'equipped with a fitness area and well-equipped spa. From experience, it is definitely worth it.
