Reviews for Quality Inn Flagstaff
Review 1:We were disappointed to not be able to get all the things for breakfast that we wanted. One waffle iron is not enough!!!
Review 2:We liked the price of the room.
Review 3:A bit of freeway noise but nothing I couldn't sleep through. Not much other than that.
Review 4:Extremely affordable for what you get. Comfy bed, clean room, free hot breakfast, solid location. Staff was super friendly and quick to answer any questions with a smile. They even let me borrow an ice scraper in the morning for my windshield!
Review 5:I definitely recommend this hotel. Though I would not recommend booking it via booking.com as the rate by booking.com was way way more expensive than the other website that I booked my continued stay.
Review 6:Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good.
Review 7:non schelant attitude of staff. Must request fridge because not all rooms have them. required downstairs due to disability in advance but was not assigned a bottom floor room. Had to push for it upon arrival.
Review 8:beds
Review 9:Very helpful staff. Specially Josh at front desk. We reserved a room with two beds through booking.com for some reason the hotel did not have the reservation in their system when we arrived. Josh accomodate us in two rooms at the price of one. Room small but clean, free breakfast anf the best part, waffle maker not bad at all for one night crash
Review 10:the bed was dirty, it looked like the sheets weren't changed, hair on the pillowcases and cookies crumbs in the bed, the door had a crack in it where the cold air was coming in.
Review 11:no comments
Review 12:Breakfast could have been better/richer, nothing to complain for this price. Location quite far from Grand Canyon (1 hour drive).
Review 13:Big rooms, clean bathroom, bathroom is inside the room. Space for 2 people, option of 1 or 2 beds. Complimentary breakfast, price very low.
Review 14:Bed was kind of small for a queen
Review 15:Good breakfast and location was close to downtown! I was so happy to find out I could bring along my puppy because they are pet friendly :) and the wifi was really good
Review 16:The room was small, outdated and noisy as well. Every time anyone was outside our room, we could hear every word of their conversation, not to mention the noise from the freeway which kept us awake most of the night. We could also smell cigarette smoke from the rooms nearby. The shower didn't work well. It was very difficult to adjust the hot water. They also charged extra to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Review 17:A nearby Chinese restaurant had decent food and delivered.
Review 18:Not a fault of the property, but...finding any location is Flagstaff, AZ is horrible experience...traffic, roads and suitable maps are insane!! For solo traveller a white knuckle experience navigating to the property.
Review 19:This property is my preferred site when traveling from California to destinations in southwest and beyond.
Review 20:Front desk person was really really pleasant, unfortunately, I did not catch his name. We checked in halloween night around 7-9 pm. He is so awesome!!
Review 21:The pillows were a little flat and not supportive. Room was a little smaller then expected
Review 22:The location right around next to the freeway and the eating opinions around the area
Review 23:The bed was terrible, broken springs, indent in the middle. Very loud mattress. The carpet smelled awful and the overall room looked really bad.
Review 24:Location was nice, bedding was clean
Review 25:The bed in our room was terrible. We felt as if we had to hold onto the sides to keep from rolling to the middle, The TV had only one channel. I told the checkout clerk. She seemed very disinterested.
Review 26:Easy access from the freeway and several close restaurants were helpful for tired travelers.
Review 27:There being 2 Quality Inns in Flagstaff was a little confusing.
Review 28:We liked the quality, proximity to the highway and restaurants, the great breakfast, the pleasant service and the excellent price.
Review 29:No king sized beds, only queens.
Review 30:Very clean, easy to get to, good value for the money, decent breakfast in the morning with some eggs, sausage and potatoes. Stopped here for the night on a cross country road trip, very satisfied.
Review 31:What didn't I like? Pretty much everything. I booked and paid for a room with a Queen sized bed and they gave us a full size mattress on a queen size frame. When I complained to the staff at the desk she was rude and said I shouldn't have slept in it if I didn't like it and that I should be happy I got a room at all. When I asked to speak with a manager, she said he was not available and took my number but no one has called me yet. In addtion, the breakfast room was flithy. There were at least three staff in attendance but no one cleaned the tables. We had to sit at filthy tables to eat our breakfast. I will never stay at a Quality Inn again ad advise others to stay clear!
Review 32:close to downtown
Review 33:Ripped curtains, very small bathroom, hard bed. But it is what it is in Flagstaff!
Review 34:Flagstaff is always priced high -- this was the most economical in the town.
Review 35:It was very noisy. Lots of random creaks, bangs, taps, slams, bumps, water running next door, (faucet, toilet, showers, heard it all) freeway noise, etc. constant low level noises kept waking me up and I'm a sound sleeper. Walls were extremely thin or something. Wifi did not work for me.
Review 36:Fair enough for the price. Nice courtyard and outdoor seating. Very friendly and welcoming staff, good coffee at breakfast.
Review 37:Location of our room. Was told the only rooms left We're two bottom rooms on the far end and facing the freeway. Looked up another website and saw there were more rooms avaliable.
Review 38:Friendly staff
Review 39:Traffic noise from the interstate kept me awake all night. Location is just yards away from highway. Bring earplugs if you want some shut-eye.
Review 40:Check in was quick. Location easy to find.
Review 41:I booked online so of course the room was reserved sight unseen. Walls were thin so we heard noise not only from neighboring rooms but also from the street. Facilities were older though in good working condition. Room and bathroom were quite small.
Review 42:It was one of the best hotel experience in our 21 days US trip. Bed was very comfortable and extremely big (4 can sleep in a double bed). Breakfast was free and satisfaying. Personnel was not that friendly but was kind and helpful. The neighbourhood was peaceful and silent. Their tap water was like bottled ones, it was very tasty. Water flow of shower was good and enough. Location is neither too close nor far to city center. Highly recommended.
Review 43:Too close to I_40 noisy, the carpets were filty, beds terrible small pillows. No frige or micro had to put ice in cooler to keep drinks cold.Breakfast was terrible not hot and the same everyday. Will not stay at a Quality? Inn ever again.
Review 44:Not much good to say about the stay.
Review 45:The floor in our room slanted and was loose - when you walked across the room, the TV and chest rattled. The furniture was old, worn, and chipped. The chest had a drawer that would not stay shut - the maintenance man had to tape it with duct tape. When I turned on the fridge it sounded like it was going to throw a rod - then after 2 hours it started cooling. The A/C worked OK but there was no grill. The faucet at the sink was so hard to turn on my wife could not budge it - I had to use both hands - same with the shower faucet. The bed was hard and slanted.
Review 46:The breakfast was outstanding - best we had on our 16 day trip - even better than breakfast at Denny's. There was eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, waffles, toast, muffins, yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, coffee. There was plenty of ice.
Review 47:When we entered the light switch was on but no light, the toilet hadfeces on the bowl, the light switch for the bathroom was behind the darkbathroom door, and then behind the fold-up ironing board. This was to bea handicapped accessible room. Tub was high for knee replacementpatients, the "handicapped bar" for on the entrance side ofthe tub was a re-purposed bar for an adjustable shower head, not
Review 48:Price, location Continued- Did not like. Not ada approved I am sure. Hadto turn on light switch at the front door to turn on tv. Will not stayhere again!!! Have stayed in half dozen different motels in Flag, thiswas the worst.
Review 49:I didn't enjoy our room, I thought it was way too small & our bed was uncomfortable. We could hear everyone next door & upstairs, the walls were too thin.
Review 50:I liked the location, everything was so close so it was convenient. The location was easy to find.
Review 51:They claim never received my request for extra pillows. Booking adviced us thst the request was emailed, but front desk staff at hotel blamed Booking saying" they forgot to send us the message, when I new it was send to the hotel. Never the less it was a small problem ,but at. The end it was solved as when they move us toa double queen bed room, there were plenty of pillows
Review 52:Stff who assisted us was friendly and understood our needs. He moved us from room into a better one with fridge,as the original one assigned did not have one
Review 53:Bed was to firm for me, did not sleep well on your bed.
Review 54:Breakfast variety. Skimpy one amount of eggs they put out, with lengthy time before they replenish when out.
Review 55:The room was severely outdated. The dresser was falling apart. The bathroom appeared to have mold on the walls from poor ventilation. Also an outdoor pool?? It said it was supposed to be open spring to fall but was closed when I went in April, spring begins in March, but still an outdoor pool in Flagstaff seems counterproductive.
Review 56:The breakfast was phenomenal. Great selection and great tasting.
Review 57:no hot water and no communication. Attempted to charge me before informing me that there wouldn't be hot water for 3 days. Poor communication. The main woman at the front desk during the day and the nightshift man are great but everyone else working had a very unpleasant attitude. A very large woman with red hair working there yelled at me for inquiring about the water situation. I don't expect much from anyone but common human decency...she failed my expectation
Review 58:The front door closed but there was a gap between the door and the frame making the room drafty and cold during the night. The place was run-down and needed some renovations such as new carpet, bathtub, and walls. Ceiling has HUGE crack in it. Walls are very thin so you hear people talking in the rooms next door and hear EVERY door slam near your room.
Review 59:I liked the breakfast in the morning, not because it was really good but it was convenient. Good place to sleep for one night for the money.
Review 60:If I did have a complaint, it would be the room was small but it wasn't too big of a deal.
Review 61:Booked on Booking for $33 a nite and found the room to be clean, bed was comfortable, shower was clean. Room was kind of small. Drawer on dresser kept opening up (not too big of a deal).
Review 62:The building was old the stairs to the second floor seemed unstable. Although close to the interstate the traffic noise was pretty bad early in the morning.
Review 63:Staff was friendly, and I feel I got a good deal on the room. The room seemed to be very clean considering the very dated building
Review 64:By 8, the continental breakfast was breads and scraps and a bit messy Nearly half the available parking spaces were blocked by large vehicles with trailers or boats attached
Review 65:The value (after Booking.com discount) Good night's sleep
Review 66:The hotel did not inform us that there was no hot water for showers and although they listed a pool as being available, it was closed. The manager was unfriendly and unhelpful.
Review 67:Room was suppose to be remodeled, wasn't. WIFIdid not work, TV only worked on 1 channel, desk phone did not work, got dial tone but couldn't dial. Door could not be dead bolted, screws half way out of the bar lock.
Review 68:Price, location, breakfast was ok.
Review 69:The beds were uncomfortable. The lock on the door did not work properly. The furniture in the room was broken down.
Review 70:The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 71:We would've stayed one more if only the Internet worked. We are full time students and needed to access homework.
Review 72:The pet friendliness was important for us. Stagg we great at cleaning and breakfast was awesome.
Review 73:Please offer more protein and whole grain options for breakfast (hard boiled eggs, greek yogurt, whole wheat toast, bran muffins) rather than so many carbs (waffles, cereal, white toast, white english muffins, etc)
Review 74:Wonderful stay!
Review 75:Vehicles pull right up to outside your door. That makes it noisy. Highway nearby also very noisy.
Review 76:Nothing in particular. I guess the breakfast was ok. Tasted like hospital food or worse. .
Review 77:You could tell the room used to be a smoking room that was converted to non smoking. They tried to cover it up with air fresheners, but you could still tell. Got a call from the front desk at 6 am asking us to enter our info at the desk because they had misplaced it. We were really upset about that because it was 6 am. Who does that? Don't call me at 6 am if I'm staying at your hotel unless I ask you to. It was tough to fall back asleep after that. So they are lucky I was as kind as I have been in this review. I would say pass on this place.
Review 78:Upon check in, the staff was friendly. The guy working brought us extra towels to our room when I requested them. The linens and towels were clean.
Review 79:Room was hard to get to, it smelled off, wifi signal was so weak everything times out. Overpriced relative to quality.
Review 80:The lobby was the nicest part of the hotel.
Review 81:thermostat on heater did not work this is to say that the fan would not shut off the heat shut off and on but fan stayed running we shut it all off and toughed it out
Review 82:just the carpet being a bit dirty, other than that I enjoyed my sleep cause I got in at 10:30pm and drove to California the next morning. thank you so much.
Review 83:price, comfort, staff response( very friendly), lighting in walkways, vending machines, parking, quiet, clean linen(perfecto), advertisement binder, free breakfast.....etc!
Review 84:Rude staff, don't care for the ice floor they prefer everyone falling outside. My son was injured because of this. Had a problem with my key every time I try to get inside the room. My poor kids were freezing. And lastly they gave us a room where there was no nearby stare case.
Review 85:Staff don't look professional they don't know how to aknowlage guest. Breakfast was disaster.Breakfast are was not clean up 5hrs after breakfast was finish. Trash cans following over from the entry door and everywhere.
Review 86:The comforter has some kind of marks. Carpet was not that clean as well; but i understand its a value hotel. I was there just to sleep by myself so I guess it was okay for the value of money.
Review 87:Free wifi Free hot break fast Friendly staff
Review 88:Beds a bit hard -That's the ONLY negative to a very pleasant stay.
Review 89:pretty clean room and right off the I-40 so very easy to find. Staff were super friendly and helpful with an early check-in. Rates were more than reasonable with a very good breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 90:This is a 2-story motel with access to rooms outside. The motel is old and run down. The rooms were not ready @ 2:45. The desk clerk said the rooms would be ready in 30 minutes. We came back one hour later. The desk clerk checked us in and gave us keys to the rooms. The rooms were disastrous. No linens, trash in the rooms. Horrible. We left.
Review 91:Nothing really
Review 92:I liked the free breakfast, was way better than expected. It was cold outside, and the heaters worked very well, no complaints there. All in all, it was a good experience
Review 93:Very dated, old furniture, door lock was broken, had to sleep with clothes due to poor heating. This is not quality room by any standard. Would not recommend.
Review 94:Overcharged me double the amount of my stay and did not fix it until I checked my bank statement (PAY IN CASH). It is SUPER loud and could barely sleep with the maids running up and down the hallways very early.
Review 95:Pet Friendly and good location
Review 96:The 2 queen beds were uncomfortable--had a hard time sleeping. The room looked like it needed new paint & remodeling done. Overall, I don't think I'd stay there again.
Review 97:Reasonable price
Review 98:we had been traveling over 12 hours and were exhausted. check-in was friendly and fast. we had trouble with TV and call front desk she was there within minutes. we enjoy our overnight stay at quality inn and will stay at quality inn on our return trip from California.
Review 99:the bed was hard as a rock and the sheets and the spread were dirty
Review 100:this hotel was close to everything I wanted to do and see while I was in Flagstaff awesome location
Review 101:We stayed here for one night before going to the Grand Canyon. The price was excellent and the location was ideal for us. The room was very clean and the wifi worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful - recommended! I had read previous comments about the noise from the nearby railway line but we weren't disturbed by it..
Review 102:This spot was perfect for an overnight stay on a long road trip. The man who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, comfy and clean and there was laundry on site which was great. Free breakfast was eggs, sausages, fresh fruit in addition to the normal carb spread.
Review 103:We liked the fact that it was literately less than 10 minutes from the Historic District and/or downtown Flagstaff. The view was fantastic! Very relaxing atmosphere. No disruptions from our neighbors. Beds were super comfy, too! =)
Review 104:Cleaning lady knocked on the door at 9:45 am (checkout is 11) I was wrapped in a towel and she was trying to rush us out and tried to come in the room! We told her we werent ready, and had to make her leave.
Review 105:Nice, clean place, nice hot breakfast. Front desk was very nice and helpful.
Review 106:Old bed with old covers. Terrible coverup smell in the room, too much spray or something. Old carpet. Shower had barely any water and bathroom old and not well maintained
Review 107:Pillows were good
Review 108:the motel was under renovation, so the breakfast facilities were minimal. the customer laundry was out of action. The room was noisy because at 5am trucks parked in the carpark started moving. even when the renovations are finished it is in a noisy environment.
Review 109:The staff were courteous and coping well under very difficult circumstances.
Review 110:not enough close parking to our room, appreciated the grass and trees but when we came back from eating we had to park on the other side of the building and walk thru-we have bad knees and the walk was painful
Review 111:lovely facility very friendly and helpful young man at the desk who quickly fixed a burned out light bulb in the bathroom
Review 112:Accommodations were substandard for the Quality inn. Room smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. The whole motel was in remodeling stage and not very comfortable. The breakfast room was substandard-we couldn't eat there. Overall this is the worst we have been to in a long time.
Review 113:Nothing
Review 114:Outdated, room needed updated. One night bed was never made, no wash cloths or hand towels left, no cup to make a cup of coffee.
Review 115:When we first arrived room was clean and fully stocked. Breakfast was not what was advertised because of remodeling, but the lady working in there did the best she could
Review 116:Should of been a 40.00 dollar special. Not 75. I could of stayed at monta vista for 99.00 which at least is historically. But it's over now won't return to that one.
Review 117:Not a thing
Review 118:The room was comfortable, clean and cool. The bed was a pleasure to sleep in; crisp clean sheets. They provided an Active Duty Military discount which was nice. The man at the front desk lowered the Booking price after we inquired about a military discount and I showed ID. The breakfast was as it should be for a free breakfast at a motel; continental. We ate donuts (which was a nice change) and the coffee was good. Parking was full but we still got a space near enough our room. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 119:Smelly and run down. Needs a remodel in the worst way. Not so great breakfast. Uncomfortable bed. Just felt dirty. You could see under the door and both light and sound were getting through all night. Rude neighbor with barking dog and drunk talking right by our window for hours.
Review 120:The front desk staff was nice. Changed my room when our "non-smoking" smelled like a fresh carton of cigarettes. Nice tv.
Review 121:Shouldn't complain, I didn't pay that much for the room.
Review 122:I crash in Flagstaff for a night and this place was cheap and good enough for the price. Sleep under the sheet, take a shower, and get out of dodge.
Review 123:See headline. Old furniture was sitting outside in the parking lot, getting rained on. Caution tape was across the stairs to our room. Access to ice machine, breakfast and pool was complicated by construction.
Review 124:Front office (a converted hotel room at the time of our visit) was staffed by a very nice young man who did his best to accommodate us and correct problems with our room. In spite of the inconveniences, we slept well (after asking to be moved from the highway side of the hotel to the interior).
Review 125:the bottle cap on the window sill, the coat falling when I attempted to hand something up, or the box of condoms in the nightstand. Does not sound like Quality to me.
Review 126:when the night person said that he'd try to get some of the cost back to me.
Review 127:No microwave or fridge in room. A bit tricky to find off i-40. Almost no hot water at 7:30 PM. Cold showers!
Review 128:Easy walking distance to good food. Nice heated pool. Quiet. Massaging shower head. Despite massive renovations to lobby area, still made allowances for breakfast, check-in, etc.
Review 129:I looked over my options, and decide on Quality Inn because theinformation listed hot breakfast, nothing about remodeling and is anordinary continental breakfast.I thought I'd try quality Inn after my brother bragged about the service a couple years ago, great breakfat, real bummer for us. Disappointed that no note of remodeling of breakfast room.
Review 130:Clean room, smelled good. Tv reception good, nice having coffee makerincluded too.Friendly staff Room was quiet, but did have bathroom fan on, So it may of masked sound outside.
Review 131:Filthy, decaying building, unkempt. Unfriendly staff. Raising prices exorbitantly if no reservation made (this was witnessed by us). We couldn't wait to get out of there!
Review 132:Nothing. We don't recommend this motel at all.
Review 133:they offer a "deluxe hot breakfast" which was really toasted bread. thats false advertising by booking.com and their marquee sign. they are in a remodel now which was fairly noisy on a sunday at 6pm. the room was fair to poor. i didnt like anything about this hotel.
