Reviews for Stonehouse Byipek Hotel

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Excellent hotel like you are in your home, antiques everywhere, the garden where a lot of trees and children's games, ducks, chickens, peacocks walk inside the garden, a fantastic landscape. The hotel is located in an old and beautiful village and has a lot of natural and organic products for sale. Thanks to the owner of the hotel Mr. Hussein and his wife and all staff. In the future I will visit this wonderful place again.

Review 3:Amazing place... my favorite part about this hotel is that it has very cute and friendly animals all over the place; peacocks, chickens, cats, ducks, and even goats. And incredibly, it's not dirty at all! In fact, the place is kept incredibly clean by the staff, yet it is not over sanitized – it is very eco-friendly with trees and gardens and plenty of nature. There is also a swimming pool which was really nice. There are plenty of places around to sit and relax, read a book, chat, and enjoy oneself. I won't go into even more detail of why this place is so great because you should really see for yourself. OH, and if you decide to stay at this hotel, I HIGHLY recommend the Hamami bath they have there.

Review 4:We were planning to stay for a night in Sirince, after reaching to the Stonehouse we have extended our stay. The owner and staff were quite friendly. It was such an amazing place with all small details, beautiful animals and amazing pool. Every corner you can find somewhere to relax.

Review 5:This place is really close to Ephesus. We rented a villa for 2 days at a great price and it was perfect! The view was breathtaking. I will definitively come back there again. Be sure to get breakfast in the morning at the main house :)

Review 6:Although I have dreamt for many times, I did not expect the Stone House to be such a lovely place! Stone House is more like family runned B&B or a farm style hotel instead of other standardised hotels. It's a great place to do some advantures. You may find Peacock, goats, ducks, roosters & kitten in the garden; you may find film magzines back to 70 years ago or whole series of local chronicles ; you may find wolf specimens etc. Besides, you will be treated with super nice Turkish Coffee &breakfast. The staffs are super nice and you will feel all their kindness to make your stay more comfortable! In-room decorations are very local and quaint. Bathroom is very clean and modern. For the logistics, it takes only 10 mins from Selcuk to Sirince by mini bus, the transportation is much more convenient than I was expected. And Stone House is only 3 mins' walk from the mini bus station. It's on the foot of the Sirince Village so no worries about climbing up the hill nor your luggages. We are two girls in our first trip to Turkey. &I have to say Sirince is definitely our favorite destination & Stone House is the most lovely hotel during our whole trip!We arrived Stone House @ 8pm, the garden was lightened by lots of beautiful lamps hanging on trees. We were accepted by Saban a very nice guy who treated us like his most important guests. He took the luggages for us and treated us with two cups of very tasty Turkish coffees. One thing has to be pointed out that the fresh milk is superb as well! I then asked for one more cup of milk. Saban can hardly speak English, but he's super cute! He took out his lighter to ask me if I need the hot milk or cold. :P It's really touching after a whole-day's tough trip from Goreme to Pamukkale and then Selcuk and finally Sirince. Thanks again Saban!I got up @6:30am and want to do some adventure of the house and the village. Again, I was shocked by what I found.

Review 7:Actually nothing...although...filling of the whirlpool took more than 2 hours, so be aware....Luxury problem?

Review 8:The geographical location in a historic village, the kindness of the staff and the whole atmosphere of the property

Review 9:No phone in the room.

Review 10:Garden full of flowers and animals, waking up with birds singing.. You should come and live the nature with a glass of wine. Thanks for the great holiday. Ipek's are adorable family. We will come again in spring.

Review 11:The CONS Here's where it gets tricky in our review. Although we could try to imagine the place being great during warmer weather, we're rating/reviewing based on how it made us feel. And this is how we felt. We've never seen the owner in any of the 4 nights/5 days we were there paying 650 euros for one room (to compare: we paid 200 euros for 3 night in Izmir, 459 euros for 5 nights in Istanbul, and 260 euros for TWO rooms, 4 nights). That made our stay feel very impersonal for us. With a place like this, an intimate family farm, we had expectations that we would be received by the owner who would understand our communicated needs in case we would have one (in English) such as (like it actually happened): a blanket, lightbulb, wood for the fireplace, toilet paper and that dusts the place once every so often. Him not being there at all made us feel like we were staying at a beat down hotel that had been completely abandoned. They have a woodburning stove in the cafe room that we wished they would light up every morning. During breakfast, we sat down with our snow coats and jackets, where we could see the steam coming out of our mouths. The stove was functional since it was only lit in the last morning when they had one other room occupied. Parking is a bit tight. If you're driving a car that's a little larger than a medium sedan you'll have issues with the narrow ways and unusual layout. Since we arrived at 18:30, or 6:30pm, it was dark (Winter) and there's very little lighting throughout the property to help you understand where you're suppose to park. There was no signage. The place needs someone running it like it has an owner that cares about the business. If we could choose, we would vote that Mr. Sabban would be the owner and that he'd speak English.

Review 12:We stayed here for 4 nights during Christmas week. We knew it was off-season - we realized that as soon as we arrived in TurkeyWe felt that the nightly rate wasn't quite as competitive for what we found at Stonehouse. Once we arrived, the general feeling was that it's just as expensive as a bigger city like Istanbul, without the return-on-investment on our paid stay which is explained later in this review. We paid approximately 650 euros for one room for a 4-night stay. The PROPERTYThe hotel property was charming with its farm animals: peafowls, ducks, chicks/hens/rooster, an adorable dog called Lucca, and a sweet cat named Yumi. It was like being in a movie set in Tuscany for the latest award-winning drama; a small village in the mountains where its strengths are on the fabulous local wine and locals' warmth. The hotel property has eating tables in the open space throughout the property (next and under fig, persimmon, olive trees, the pond), playgrounds for kids, a pool (that we couldn't use) and parking space. I'm going to admit, though, that we didn't profit from the property layout at all since it was cold out. It's probably much more of a fun experience during warm weather than in Winter. The PROSI'd like to begin with the positive side of the hotel. First, I loved Lucca (the dog) and Yumi (cat). As an animal person, that played a huge role. The animals made us feel like we were visiting a family's house which is quite the romantic idea. Mr. Sabban, the employee (who I'm not sure if I got his name right) and not the owner was very, very nice and extremely helpful. When the lightbulb went out in our bathroom he fixed it in 2 minutes. We had asked him to bring usanother blanket an he did so very promptly.Every night, he asked us what time we wanted breakfast. That made us feel very special. We could have our breakfast at any time we wanted.

Review 13:The only complaint would be the small bathroom, but otherwise, this is a charming hotel with a wonderful, friendly staff. Wi-Fi was great so google-translate overcame any language barriers.

Review 14:Great little hotel in the beautiful little mountain top town of Sirince. We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Our 2-year old son loved the animals on the farm and the staff was wonderful! It is 5 miles into Selcuk/Ephesus and not far to Kusadasi. The village is quaint and beautiful, full of friendly people. A little off the beaten path, but worth the 5km drive up the mountain to stay at this great hotel.

Review 15:We're a family of four and loved our stay at the Stonehouse for three nights. Its not really a hotel, not really a bed and breakfast. Its unique in a lovely way. The owner told us he wants guests to think of it as a family home and that is what it feels like. We were there the first part of November which is off season and the pool was drained but can imagine how refreshing it would be in the summer. Our room was large and decorated with Turkish antiques. Lots of animals for kids to play with: a dog, a cat, peacocks and ducks. Even a few horses and a donkey. Breakfast was fabulous. The cook remembered what our family liked to drink from the first morning and brought it out unasked on subsequent mornings. Wonderful views from the property and lots of sitting areas in the expansive garden. The walk to town is just 2 minutes away. We're traveling for a year and this has been one of our favorite places to stay! If it was up to our eight year old, she would still be there.

Review 16:Too much clutter and junk amidst the curio's (understand the design idea, but too much rubbish) Poorly maintained grounds Dirt tracked into the room Minimal room servicing Animals competing for my breakfast Interrupted power supply due to system maintenance

Review 17:Friendly staff Great breakfast- beautiful fresh food Views of the valley Eccentric room decoration Family friendly Luka the dog

Review 18:Lack of communication. No housekeeping. No wifi in room. Very expensive dinner which was served without price confirmation.

Review 19:Beautiful setting. Easy access to Sirince and public bus. Lovely gardens filled with farm animals.

Review 20:Rooster wake-up calls before dawn (though, this is just part of the village life!). Earthy smell in the bathroom; this is again, part of the nature of the property, but for those with sensitive allergies to molds, etc., it might be a concern.

Review 21:Loved all of the animals on the property: chickens, peacocks, goats, dog, donkey, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was so fun for all kids (6, 10, 12, 14) to explore.

Review 22:We liked everything except the internet connection seemed a bit slow.

Review 23:We stayed for 5 nights so had plenty of time to relax, enjoy the property (including swimming pool), and explore the town. This was our last stop on a 6 week trip and we agreed it was the most comfortable due to the location and gorgeous gardens.

Review 24:The management and the dark, poorly lit, dated and cluttered room. The last straw for us was the combination of barking dogs at night followed by several gunshots (yes, gunshots) of which we had received no forewarning. Shortly after hearing the gunshots we heard shuffling outside our door followed by a knock. Remember: this was nighttime, after we had gone to bed. You can imagine our terror. As it turns out the manager - who lives off-site - was contacting us through his on-site assistant to remind us of a payment we were to make in the morning, of which we were well aware. When we inquired about the gunshots the manager merely laughed dismissively and then, for the first time, explained that there were nighttime hunters in the vicinity. Begrudgingly, he conceded that he should have notified us in advance of the nighttime hunting. Even though we stayed the next morning through breakfast (which was wonderful), the manager wasn't present to see us off.

Review 25:The on-site staff - gentle, local folks - were wonderful. Unfortunately, their presence could not offset the effects of the management, which was rarely present and then only to collect or request payment for overpriced (and, in some cases, non-existent) services.

Review 26:Nothing.

Review 27:Friendly owner and staff. Superb served breakfast. Large grounds with chickens and domestic animals roaming around under the olive trees. The room and the grounds are full of interesting antiques and old farm implements. A great place to relax after the bustle of the city.

Review 28:It may not suit some people to be a bit 'out of the way', but we enjoyed the ride on the local mini bus up the winding road to Sirence. The wifi was good in the outdoor dining area but not effective in our room, we had to find better spots around the garden. A bit more bedding would have been nice, for example 2 pillows each and another blanket or two.

Review 29:The animals and the pretty, quirky gardens made this accommodation the highlight of our 6 year old daughter's entire holiday. The warmth, friendliness and responsiveness of the staff, particularly the lovely Mujde, made us feel incredibly welcome and relaxed. We had peaceful, restful nights in the fresh country air, followed by lush traditional breakfasts of home made and organic food including boreks and cherry jam to die for, attended by cats, dogs, chickens, etc etc. Our room was very pretty, and there were a large number of attractive outdoor settings to lounge in, around the pool, on decks and verandahs, and in the garden.

Review 30:You have to like animals a lot. So if peacocks, chickens, roosters, etc. are not your thing it is something to consider. We enjoyed it, but feel others might not.

Review 31:Hussein the host and proprietor, and his team were very warm, welcoming and great to talk with. The setting is a beautiful farm-like atmosphere, with lots of personality!

Review 32:This was a terrific spot hidden in away in the lovely town of Sirince, about 10 K from Selcuk. It is a great place for families, with a pool and lots to see (a farm-like setting with a variety of animals. The food served at breakfasts and dinners. was excellent.

Review 33:Nothıng.

Review 34:Everythıng.It was a very nıce experıence. The hotel owner ıs a specıal person. The breakfast and dınner were unforgetable. The rooms desıgn were lovely.

Review 35:There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Review 36:We stayed at the Stonehouse Byipek, with our 3 daughters, 18,15, 13, in order to make an early morning assault on Ephesus. It was the most enchanting, relaxing, idyllic night of our tour in Turkey. The food, homemade cheese, home grown fruit, the accommodation, the garden, the pool, the atmosphere, are all quietly, wonderfully exceptional. We left feeling rested and inspired. Wonderful.

Review 37:not easy to find bathrooms not at the expected level, with very strong bad smell

Review 38:friendly welcome nice environment at walking distance from the nice small Sirince village, just few miles away from Ephesus

Review 39:Wifi doesn't work that well in the room.

Review 40:Absolutely amazing! I didn't expect it was such a wonderland. It's located in Sirince, where u can just take a minibus to from the otogar in Selcuk, and it's quiet with all the nice and antique furniture around. We enjoyed the breathtaking breakfast in the garden while some cute animals like peacocks, ducks, a dog named Luka walking around. At night, we bought a bottle of wine to enjoy in the garden, and the staff not only prepared us the cups but also sent us some fruit they just picked from the trees. The old couple were especially helpful and kind even though they don't speak English. They always smiled at us and were ready to do things for us. I'll definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Review 41:Too bad they emptied the pool right after we got there and waited right before we left to start to feel it again, when temperature was really more than hot over there!

Review 42:Nice and quiet garden in a really nice and old Turkish village worth seeing. Nice breakfast.

Review 43:Surrounded by a lush, green forest and a beautiful village, the fresh air and beauty of the area is the first thing to greet you when you arrive at stonehouses. It’s the ideal place to slow down, take a break from busy lives and focus on health and wellness. Haven't planned your vacation yet? Take at least a week (more if you can) and step away from the everyday pressures and routines. You'll come back refreshed and, chances are, with plenty of good ideas to work on when you come back.

Review 44:Nothing much really. Only the location is a bit difficult to find in the village even though it is very close to the village centre.

Review 45:Excellent nature Perfectly designed facilities Very clean Animals (Luka the dog rocks) Extremely friendly & helpful staff

Review 46:Absolutely nothing!

Review 47:Calm, great to relax . Superb garden for kids to discover, with nice pool and delicious food. Great village with wonderful atmosphere, located ideally for tourist attractions in Selcuk area. We stayed at the villa but made full use of facilities - and would love to come back.

Review 48:garden's decoration is a little bit too fussy (we didn't appreciate the plastic body laying in the garden). restaurant little bit expensive.

Review 49:very special atmosphere between zen and bucolic with nice swimmingpool. lots of farm animals all around. breakfast very good with home made food.

Review 50:We had an amazing stay at this old stone farmhouse. The kids (age 7 and 12) loved the farm animals and pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a discrepancy in our reservation....we wanted to depart 1 night earlier than our reservations said. They handled this promptly and professionally. We highly recommend this hotel!

Review 51:You have to double check the exchange rate before arrival. They made us pay 120 euro more than the booking price. (After one month we are still waiting for refund.) Apart from that we were not satisfied with the accomodation, at all. It is definitely under Turkish standards, especially regarding hospitality and service. What you get is a superficial 'hello' every day. Never a complimentary tea or biscuit or any help offered (as mentioned in other reviews. BTW later on I have noticed the same comment on Tripadvisor and booking.com under different names and countries!). We did not like the decor, either. Lots of smelly articels from the flea market. But our biggest problem was the noise during the night. Barking dogs, loud barrel drums (at 3 am!!!) from the village, noise of tv, etc. (the rooms are told to be soundproof in booking.com description.) Bathroom very poorly cleaned. Mediocre breakfast. It was our 3rd week in Turkey, so we knew what to expect, and this place was a huge disappointment.

Review 52:Employe does not speak English. Loud music at breakfast barking dogs. But overall I'm very positive.

Review 53:Difficult to find. Beautiful!! swimming pool in a magical garden. Helpful personnel. Very peaceful and silent location. 2minute walk from restaurants. Our 7y daughter loved the kittens and other animals.

Review 54:Room rather dark with cosy (heavy) furniture. Small but adequate bathroom. Dogs barking.

Review 55:Location was great. Good Parking (diff in Sinince). Size of room ( little sitting room a bonus). Good facilities. Simple but pleasant breakfast (made early for our early start to Ephesus). Nice pool.

Review 56:No expresso...but you can't have everything! :)

Review 57:What a wonderful surprise! A little magical bolt hole with endless exploring for the kids - peacocks and their chicks, chickens, ducks, cats and kittens, Lucca the dog, a delightful swimming pool and of course fascinating rooms filled with collections of items from our past. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was scrumptious and filling. And the staff friendly and so helpful. Sirince was also unexpected and peaceful. Thank you Stonehouse for a wonderful stay.

Review 58:Nothing really negative. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit which is not on the property. It is listed as a 5 minute walk from the main house, but be aware it is a fairly strenuous uphill walk which may not be suitable for all people. However, the unit is very spacious and well equipped for a family. Also, dinner was good but a bit expensive.

Review 59:Staying in Sirince was one of the highlights of our trip. The Stonehouse is a peaceful oasis. The gardens and grounds are amazing and the breakfast was very good. We also had dinner at the hotel which was good but a bit expensive. The staff is wonderful. Everyone did their very best to make us feel welcome and cared for.

Review 60:Need to pay in advance for the room at check in was a major negative...

Review 61:Breakfast & private car park (major problem in Şirince)...

Review 62:The staff & the cook are very good even though they speak very little english! great breakfast. The setting of the whole property is very nice.

Review 63:a bit over priced

Review 64:location of the hotel was great, also overall decoration

Review 65:The owner The fine breakfasts The quiet The great dogs The fruit trees

Review 66:beautiful house, thoughtful decoration, very nice staff

Review 67:I like the relaxing environment and different kinds of animal.

Review 68:Matress are very hard

Review 69:Breakfast in the garden Great view

Review 70:Can't find fault.

Review 71:Fabulous place to relax and chill out. Such a pretty village.

Review 72:My kids loved the farm-like feel of this hotel. Staff excellent and hotel very clean.

Review 73:Lovely place , lovely stuff what would you need more. Thanks to Zeynep and other stuff for their warm welcome.

Review 74:Very beautiful and unique hotel! If u like vintage u will like here! Stuff very helpful!

Review 75:Not easy to find. Directions on google maps and with booking.com information are vague.

Review 76:Beautiful restful garden and stone buildings, our room was spacious and overlooking a secluded leafy garden grotto. The staff are gorgeous and can't do enough to be helpful.

Review 77:I chose this hotel mainly because it had a pool and we arrived on Saturday 24 May to find that it wasn't yet filled with water!! Such a big disappointment !! They started filling it the next day which resulted in no shower facilities as the water pressure was directed elsewhere. No warning was given about this in advance. The next day again we got a shower.... My partner first...his was hot.... I was second, mine was cold!! For what we paid to stay here I expected better. The wardrobe in the living room was so dusty inside that I had to clean it before hanging my clothes up. There was only two coat hangers which meant we had to ask for more. There was no mirror in the bathroom for my partner to shave at and inside our traditional stone and timber dwelling was so dark and dingy I had to use a battery powered reading light over my book. I reported that the electric socket next to the bed was hanging out the wall and the light outside our door wasn't working but nothing was done about either. When my partner spoke to the lady manager about these things, she told him that she'd only been there 17 days. Obviously not long enough for her to prepare for her guests. I got the feeling that we were the first to use our little dwelling and the dust had been lying for a while. We enjoyed our stay in Sirince but it was very much a tourist hot spot. Certainly once back in Stonehouse it was so peaceful you would never know that just along the road was bursting at the seams with visitors. We stayed in Stonehouse for 4 nights and it was peaceful relaxing and they provided a first class breakfast however, because I didn't feel they were ready for our arrival and the fact that I didn't have the use of the pool for the first two days was very disappointing and therefore not worth the money we paid.

Review 78:The location is beautiful and the surrounding view is so lovely. The 5* breakfast was the highlight of our day. Large portions of do many different hot and cold dishes all cooked to perfection and served by very friendly local staff. Comfortable clean bed. Beautiful grounds with comfortable seats to relax in. All the animals, chickens ducks peacocks goats and of course Luca the dog.... He was amazing and so good natured.

Review 79:This is a beautiful spot in a charming village. At the edge of the village it feels isolated and lovely on the grounds, but is actually just a short walk to the village market and many restaurants. The a minibus goes to Selcuk every 30 minutes and it was easy to be without a vehicle. The staff at first seem curt but that seems to just be their mannerisms, they were incredibly accommodating of our late arrival and early departure time (arranging a car to the airport in Izmir), walking us to a local place to eat so we didn't get lost, as well as with other guests.

Review 80:Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts delicious. Fascinating and quirky venue. Such a change from usual bland hotel experience. Good to know places like this still exist.

Review 81:Room furnishings could be updated.

Review 82:Location is beautiful and bucolic away from center of Selchuk but easy drive to Ephesus. Sirene is very touristy. But you leave that behind when you drive in the gate. Breakfast on the terrace was really lovely. The owner and her staff are friendly and helpful. A good spot for folks with kids. We enjoyed all the animals. Very laid back.

Review 83:This is a B&B, or boutique hotel, or guesthouse, or ranch, or luxury hotel.......you can use the best words to define this hotel and it won't be exaggerating. We wish we had stayed more than one night! The hostess is a very kind, modern and generous lady. She's got a huge collection of CDs around the world in the dining room. There are hammocks and teeter-boards in the garden, apart from the swimming pool and a tree-house. She also has 3 couples of chickens, 4 peacocks, a couple of ducks, and maybe two or more goat/sheep families in the ranch. We booked out the rooms early enough, so all together 6 rooms for 12 people, only for us. The experience was amazing! We had a very nice customized dinner in the dining room, and drank 6 kinds of fruit wines. In every corner you can see antiques or design adornments! Each room is uniquely designed, and super clean and comfortable. You should stay at least 2 nights to enjoy it. Otherwise you will regret like I did.

Review 84:Though no place is perfect, our experience at Stonehouse was nearly flawless. Perhaps the beds were a bit harder than we would have liked. Wifi was spotty.

Review 85:This is a fantastic place in a fantastic little village. The staff were wonderful, the garden was great for our children, the breakfasts were very good, and the room was clean and functional. The property was quaint and relaxing. The people were very hospitable. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

Review 86:A charming farmhouse property with a lovely garden and friendly, helpful staff. For the price, I expected a slightly more upscale accommodation but we were very comfortable in a very clean and large family room. The property was quirky and enchanting with lots of places to explore and to relax and unwind. Our family loved it! The staff was very attentive and so kind. It was a wonderful place to start our vacation in Turkey and set the bar high for the rest of the trip. The village of Srince is lovely with several great restaurants (within walking distance to the Stonehouse). We had a car so we were able to travel to the various sights elsewhere quite easily.

Review 87:We had a wonderful visit at the stone house. We were delighted by our two bedroom villa. Although iit was a ten- twelve minute walk up the winding streets of this llovely village, these strolls were memorable allowing a window into the daily life of the village. The villa was cozy and comfortable, at the top of the hill overlooking the village. Ideal situation in which to enjoy the day in town and feel a part of it. We travelled offf season and loved the charm of this experience. Again, a walk to the hotel, but a perfect spot. Also, breakfasts were fantastic. I would have happily stayed in a room in the main hotel area, as well !

Review 88:Bathroom was a little small for two pretty tall people!

Review 89:A really quirky hotel in a great location - the village is beautiful. Staff are really welcoming and friendly, breakfast was terrific. Lovely room with unique features. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 90:We stayed one night and loved this hotel. Very well and uniqely designed rooms. Great hospitality. It is very well positioned in the little Sirince village. Usually there are many tourists day and night in the village but stonehouse hotel is completely hidden, although 3 mins walk to the center of sirince, which provided a perfectly calm stay...

Review 91:The hotel is located in the picturesque village of Sirince, just few kilometres from Ephesus. The view is spectacular, the service friendly and efficient. It is a peaceful and relaxing place with the atmosphere of a farm. You wake up with the smells and sounds of the mediterranean countryside. You can swim in the pool very early and relax in the hammocks under the trees after a hectic day in the amazing nearby ancient sites. The breakfast was delicious with local products and the hosts were incredible friendly and accommodating. This is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with Turkey forever.

Review 92:We loved the peaceful farmstay accommodation, the authentic stone cottages and the very helpful hosts. The restful ambience of Stonehouse was delightful after the hectic pace of Istanbul. We appreciated the swimming pool after a busy day's sightseeing.

Review 93:Location is difficult to find. Signage is not accurate -- directs you to a villa outside of town.

Review 94:The service and well appointed rooms are worth a stop here. Two nights is ideal.

Review 95:Nothing really, was a bit disappointed that more people had discoveredSirince before we did

Review 96:The Stonehouse was one of the best hotels I ever stayed. Not because ofthe luxury, no bathrobes, no slippers, no whole array of complementarybeauty product, no bubble bath, no mini bar. In nothing this hotelresembles the supposed luxury of the bigger chain hotels. Instead theStone house offers you an attentive and personal approach. In the midst of a beautiful garden of peach and olive trees overlooking the arcadic hills around Sirince this old Greek wine farm is transformed to a small boutique hotel. Rooms are located in separate small buildings in the garden. All the rooms are decorated with genuine antiquities (not the kitsch you would expect when reading this) giving the hotel and atmosphere if you were a guest of wealthy Turkish aristocrat (which you probably are). The small number of staff are super friendly, without asking they peel you an apple, poor you a cup of tea or give you a homemade cookie. At night you can play records on an old gramophone or watch a movie in the outdoor private cinema. The best part is the breakfast, like all Turkish breakfasts it is good and healthy but this breakfast has two special things. First of all the view from the veranda over the hills, olives, peaches and cypresses make you feel in Tuscany (that is what you read about Sirince and that is both true for the landscape and for the number of tourist in the village) But secondly although this breakfast has roughly the same ingredients as the normal Turkish breakfast the quality and variety is far better than you find elsewhere. Everyday a different home mad hot pastry, olives, jams and other products from the garden, homemade goats yogurt, cheeses etc. Don’t let the fact that Sirince is already discovered by other tourist put you of. A stay in the Storehouse alone is worth a visit to Turkey.

Review 97:The internet was a bit splotchy but it wasn't really their fault. They sent a few guys out to fix it right away.

Review 98:I absolutely loved it. It was in a quaint little town up in the mountains. The staff was great; the main guy went and got groceries for us on his motorcycle the first night and he was the same guy making us breakfast every morning (which was included) and was excellent and quite filling. He even bought a few toys for the boys. He barely spoke any english but he was warm, hospitable & lovely.

Review 99:everything was great. no problem to do an early breakfast so we could beat the tour buses to Ephesus. we would stay here again

Review 100:facitities all great! staff perfect!

Review 101:Too expensive for what you received.

Review 102:The eclectic decor, and homemade food.

Review 103:Warm welcom from the hotel people, excellent accomodation in a familyhouse with all needed comfort, very nice place located in the mountains.
