Reviews for Cheyenne Mountain Resort

Review 1:Do buffets did stay warm enough

Review 2:the staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the waitresses in the restaurant makes you feel at home. As such beautiful landscape

Review 3:Rooms need updating - not consistent with a quality destination resort.

Review 4:The location worked very well for us. The dinning room and breakfast was very good.

Review 5:The lounge was remodeled recently, which they removed several windows that over looked the Roy Rogers Shrine on the mountain. The view was beatiful, they have a liquor cabinet there instead.

Review 6:This my 4th or 5th year traveling to colorado Springs. I like the ambience the staff and building provide.

Review 7:You should be able to cancel reservation without penalty as long as it's 24-48 hrs in advance, emergencies happen!

Review 8:Clean,friendly & good location!

Review 9:I had requested a pillow-free room, but at 9:00 pm realized 7 or 8 pillows were feather (one could not be definitely determined). Called the front desk and they sent a very nice young man, but it took well over 30 minutes to receive them. My allergies required extra medication that night. DIsappointed.

Review 10:Staff was friendly, and I was given a discount on the bill due to my concerns - and that was appreciated.

Review 11:Only negative was the outskirt area which was pretty run down. It wasn't a problem for us because we drove to the sites but might be an issue if you didn't have a car.

Review 12:Stunning setting with all the amenities for a spa like family vacation. We especially enjoyed the fabulous deck set up with comfortable rocking chairs around a large fire pit. The health club and aquatic center were outstanding!!

Review 13:That the no kids under 12 allowed in hot tub rule was enforced

Review 14:the staff was amazing. I have never met a friendlier and more courteous staff. Thank you ALL for helping me make GREAT memories with my daughter during her spring break.

Review 15:No Complimentary coffee in lobby in the am. That's about it

Review 16:We loved the room, the bed and the facilities. Pet friendliness was a real bonus for us. Location is great too.

Review 17:The only indoor pool was very far away and part of a country club, so there were a lot of people there. The pool and work out area needs a little refresh, it is a little run down. The room was nice, but the lights and headboards were very dusty, and there was booger(or something like that) on the switch for the lamp on the headboard, which was disgusting.

Review 18:The room was decorated beautifully, but was small. I liked the small private patio with the amazing view of Cheyenne Mountain. It was close to the zoo and to many restaurants. The staff was great and made us feel welcomed. I am sure it would be an amazing stay during the summer, as it seemed like nothing in the hotel was open during our stay.

Review 19:I wish that your breakfast buffet ended at a later time. We had been at a party the night before and slept in until 10 only be told it was over :(

Review 20:That bed was amazing

Review 21:When we checked out on 11/25/14, the computer was down. The clerk said he would e-mail us a copy of the bill, but we still haven't received it.

Review 22:We loved the facility, including the Fitness Center.

Review 23:This is a 2star hotel at best. I travelled from Ireland with my american boyfriend and expected a 4star hotel stay like the website suggests. This hotel was old and in much need of an update. The restaurant is extortionately priced and of awful quality! We would never stay here or recommend any couple looking for a romantic break to stay here.

Review 24:The staff were very friendly.

Review 25:The sink in the bathroom did not drain very well. The pillows were so hard. The room was HOT with no control on the thermostat and the only way to control the temp was to use the patio door, open then close. Put my shirt over the door in the bathroom and when I took it down it was all dirty. All of the doors were that way.

Review 26:The view was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 27:rooms looked dingy carpet/bed covers/arm chair in particular air conditioner very noisy bed felt damp left early although I was penalised because I did not feel it was worth remaining

Review 28:If you do not get a room on 3rd floor (top floor) your night can become very noisy because you hear every step from the room above. If your room is located close to the Golf Country Club you might experience much traffic.

Review 29:Nice location off the busy city, very quiet room at "Fountain" on 3rd floor with great view, the fitness park and 50m pool plus adjoining facilities at the Golf Country Club, the nice atmosphere, terrace and good food at the Golf Club's restaurant.

Review 30:When I returned from a long day out, I found the door to my room ajar and held open by the bar latch. Frankly, I was frightened. I called the front desk who told me that housekeeping must have left it open by mistake, and she also told me that mine had been the second similar call she had fielded that evening. I emailed management, but have not received a reply. The problem is that many of the guest rooms are cabin-style buildings where all of the doors are open to the outside. For the cost, I feel that I should not need to worry about my personal safety (upon returning to my room) or the security of my belongings (while I am away). While the resort and aquatics center are amazing, I did not find the room itself is not worth the cost - I would only recommend staying here if you have time to fully enjoy the facilities.

Review 31:The room was comfortable, and the location was nice.

Review 32:The food at the buffet was horrible, bad selections for families. Drinks were not made correctly. Bread was stale. Server was unattentive. Do not bother eating here ever! Big resort with only one restaurant is crazy!!! It's all looks, no quality service, had a meal at the Broodmoor for less and it was wonderful.

Review 33:Rooms were clean and cozy.

Review 34:Wish we could have stayed longer

Review 35:Just about everything

Review 36:The staff was great.Had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel.

Review 37:Indoor pool

Review 38:The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful location and rooms are clean and spacious.

Review 39:Friendly and personable staff, fantastic rooms and setting at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain.

Review 40:This establishment is awesome pools saunas fitness center. Close to attractions beautiful views!!

Review 41:excellent customer service and wait staff

Review 42:The price of the food and drinks in the hotel

Review 43:the views

Review 44:Everything

Review 45:Location, lake, pools and scenery. Plenty of activities to do at the resort.

Review 46:very busy

Review 47:Dinner

Review 48:I like the lake

Review 49:No smoking on patios

Review 50:Outstanding views, great service

Review 51:The view of the mountains wasn't the best

Review 52:Almost everything

Review 53:Staff was extremely courteous and accomodating. Lots of activities for my children.

Review 54:The pool was quite nice and the room was comfortable.

Review 55:the door to our room stuck and we had to slam really hard it to get it to close. The tub was stopped up (but eventually drained), the air conditioner didn't work properly in our room and we didn't have a fridge that I could find anyway. Seemed maybe we were in a room that wasn't used regularly.

Review 56:The staff was great! very nice! The beds were SO comfortable and the room was clean and well kept.

Review 57:The indoor pool in the tent was full of kids and there was no direct access from changing rooms to pool. Noisy a/c.

Review 58:The room was large and well appointed though the a/c was a bit noisy, the view from the balcony was superb. The food in the restaurant was pricey but much more reasonable in the bar and very good quality. The servers were very pleasant, attentive and helpful as were all the staff.

Review 59:Room was too small and noise from people walking in the room above was annoying.

Review 60:People were awesome. Professional but very friendly and accommodating at every turn.

Review 61:The bathtub was a bit small for our taste. The bathroom could use some updates.

Review 62:The all-season outdoor pool area was great for the kids! The indoor pool is really only for lap swimming, so it was nice to have a swimming option for younger kids. The Sunday brunch buffet had great varied options and the food was all good. I think it is a little pricey, but they didn't charge us for any of the kids, so that was nice : ) The rooms were nicely decorated and had VERY comfortable beds. We will definitely be back!

Review 63:Housekeeping because they don't change our bed on a daily basis even when we put a sign on the door to make our bed.

Review 64:I like the view of the mountain.

Review 65:The decor was quite dated, and I did not feel as though I was at a resort. I have stayed in chain middle-of-the road hotels that far exceeded the amenities of this property.

Review 66:The scenery was very pretty.

Review 67:Far too many cushions and pillows on the bed which had to be removed before I could climb in. Buffalo steak far too BIG (offputting presentation on plate). Not impressed with dinner or breakfast buffets.

Review 68:The outdoor heated pool and hot tub. The very helpful drivers. the very helpful staff in the coffee shop and the bar. the wooden architecture and layout of the cabins. Generally friendly atmoshpere.

Review 69:The room, the view, the patio, the fire place in lobby, the tennis courts, the pool table area and beauty of the lobby and view. The breakfast brunch was amazing. Every one was so helpful and friendly and wanted our stay to be very special and it was. We even left our trunk open and they found us to tell us and make sure we were O.K. Love to come back. Please let us know of any family rates so our family can come next time. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Review 70:I ordered a cup of coffee from room service. The bill for the coffee wasalmost $13.00. Ridiculous. Also, we had a room set up for a meeting for4 of us. The meeting room was booked under the company name of Equion. We were meeting at 8 am. The room was not open and we wasted 20 minutesof a very limited time we had to meet. Other than this, the resortitself is very nice.

Review 71:The hotel was nice and the room accommodations are excellent.

Review 72:We only stayed for one night, but found the service to be excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dining on the terrace overlooking the mountains, and the kids liked the pool table and x-box games in an area right off the lobby. Also, if you are going to the zoo close by, as for discount coupons at the front desk.

Review 73:Ceiling is so thin and the noise of walking of the people in above room was so so noisy! I could not sleep because of the very luud thud. We are ver suprise becase we have never heard such a big thud before!

Review 74:Nice montaion view Free Tennis

Review 75:Way to many kids and misbehaved kids. Would not go to the resort again because of how many kids were there. Also very white republican crowd.

Review 76:The overall resort was great - clean, staff great - nice setting

Review 77:Not sure how this resort gets four diamonds especially when theBroadmoor next door has the same rating and is far superior. Thefacility is ok but looking a bit worn down. The aquatics center is veryworn down and the outdoor pool is frigid. All in all it is an okfacility but don't let AAA's rating fool you.

Review 78:The price was competitive.

Review 79:Our stay at Cheyenne Moutain Resort was exceptional. We are avid golfers, so the golfing experience at the Country Club was great. The course was one of the best we have played. We would recommend the Resort to anyone going to the Colorado Springs area. We will also be back.

Review 80:I was upgraded to a presidential suite. Very nice

Review 81:Maze of halls and elevators to get to room.

Review 82:Total ambiance and customer friendly staff.

Review 83:The lake, beach, indoor pool and kids pool were all closed. Verydissapointing

Review 84:Very nice and clean

Review 85:Airconditioner very noisy. Difficult to get to room. Bed too soft.

Review 86:Staff allowed for an early check in and was very accoomodating.

Review 87:The staff could have been friendlier

Review 88:The view of the mountains was amazing from our room and the lodge.

Review 89:sink in entrance didn't work--toilet didn't work properly

Review 90:Beautiful locations
