Review 1：Rooms were muggy and the air unit did little to help. Hotel restaurant was expensive and there weren't other choices in close walking distance.

Review 3：This is not a winterized building! The roof is one big canvas that flaps loudly in the wind and makes the hotel cold in any season but mid summer (we were here in spring). Rooms and "restaurant" look more like Ibis than boutique. Staff was not multilingual as advertised.

Review 5：Bathroom shower with mold. I drop a drink on the floor and when I wiped it with a paper towel it was black with dirt ,which means the do not clean the floors..Room for improvement..

Review 9：The hotel was overwhelming and very beautiful due to its special design. The staff was very nice and helped us with any inquiry. Our room was very big and comfortable. I first checked hotels in the center of Colonia, but they were mostly expensive and not up-to-date due to being in the historic part of the city. So I was looking for a hotel out of the center and found Costa Colonia. The receptionist told us that it's only 3 years old, so everything was new and welcoming and we liked it a lot. I can just recommend this hotel to everyone looking for an alternative out of the center and who likes walking a bit (it takes about 20 min. to walk there along the coast, but you can also take a taxi or rent cars or bikes close to the terminal).

Review 10：There was some issues regarding cleanliness, mainly because we found a dirty pair of mens socks on the couch on arrival but was quickly removed on demand.

Review 11：Absolutely loved my stay. The hotel is overall really modern, and the rooms are really big and bright. Room service food was very good. Couldnt try the outdoor pool due to the weather and the spa pool was always pretty crowded with kids. Beds were a bit hard to my taste but nonetheless very comfortable. Loved the fact that they had our room ready on arrival despite the fact that we arrived hours before check-in time. It is around 2 km away from the old town but we had a vehicule so it wasnt an issue, and it is so nice to be on the riverside, views of the sunset were amazing.

Review 16：Shower moldy and not perfectly clean. Shower head is awful and snaps upwards with water pressure so you can't relax and enjoy. The bed is terrible, two twins pieced together to form a king. Almost fell in the middle. Huge flies enter room when you open windows.

Review 40：Despite lovely river view we were completely shocked to see so much garbage outside our bedroom. This problem needs to be resolved immediately as it reflects very poorly on both the hotel and Colonia. If arriving late and advised to go to Spa Hotel across the road for a snack we recommend you decline this recommendation and find your way into town. The service was dreadful and the food was average, sorely overpriced and was presented with plastic knives, folks, plates and cups! Not very appetising and certainly not what was expected for the price.Note... you pay before you eat! Although NOT funny we laughed our heads off at the warning that should a guest chose to put up a sombrero that the guest would be responsible for potential damage caused should a gust of wind send the sombrero flying!!! (Never heard of cement?) The morning reception staff appeared completely incompetent. There were originally 2 members of staff unable to sort out another client's request to divide the bill and pay in 2 currencies. A 3rd member of staff arrived and joined the farce. Not sure if these clients made their flight. We would suggest training from the superb Veronica, the afternoon receptionist. We also recommend the inclusion of eggs for breakfast. Possibly bacon too but just the inclusion of eggs would be much appreciated by guests in our opinion. Despite the above we would recommend this hotel.

Review 41：Colonia is a very beautiful, old world town seaped in history. Our spacious apartment was very clean with river view. Very pleasant 20 minute walk along the coast to the old town. Veronica, afternoon receptionist was very professional and 'on the ball'. We advise that the hotel installs international television channels. We recommend this boutique hotel.
