Review 1：We paid for a luxury room with private parking but there were too many cars in the private carpark. Staff advised that someone must have parked there who wasn't entitled to, as they assured us there was enough spaces for each luxury room. Staff did little to find out who had parked there or rectify the situation. The room was too hot, the ceiling fan was insufficient to cool the room and we were unable to open the window or patio door as the smoking terrace was directly outside our room. We are none smokers and did not appreciate our clothes smelling of smoke so we had to keep the doors and windows closed. We paid extra for the direct access to the pool but were unable to take advantage of this because of said reasons. We asked for an additional fan, which they could not provide. The bedding had stains on and the curtains and lampshades were old and smelt unpleasant.

Review 7：The only thing that we didn't like too much was Mosselbaai itself. A bit boring place. Hotel made up for it though :)

Review 9：We were informed that they do not allow any children under 18, that information was on booking.com, but not obvious. So, my fault, we went and booked another room at point village guesthouse, which was excellent. The next morning, we figured we at least can get our breakfast that we paid for. The manager was very rude, and first implied that I stilled stayed with my child over night, and then told me that breakfast was not included. I showed her my bookings.com statement that breakfast was included, then she asked me if I have paid for the room already, which I have, already. Just nickle and dime. So if your room include breakfast, make sure you print out the receipt, or you will get charged. Breakfast was nothing to write home about either.

Review 46：Shower nob was worn, afraid it might not turn off (it did) and shower pressure a bit weak. Rest of the bathroom and bed room were top notch. Was not clear if I had a confirmed booking or not before I left on vacation because this location does the booking.com confirmation differently. Not sure if there is some way to explain this during the booking process.

Review 47：Good location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, seafront. Bed so comfortable I would have taken it home with me if it fit into my suitcase. For a backpackers, this is run like an efficient hotel with nice amenities you don't see at most backpackers like a hair dryer. Breakfast was very nice, fresh and tasty. Reception was very friendly, informative and made you feel like family. Enjoyed hanging out in the bar area for a little while talking to other travelers. Liked that there were rules to make everyone's stay enjoyable, but they were not oppressive - just common courtesy things some people may not have learned. Enclosed parking area was very safe.

Review 48：Sheets changed in every 3rd day. (Couples slept in soiled linen) I slept in creased sheets. My kid's towels never changed. place not well kept(outside not clean.)

Staff were not prepared to offer a packed breakfast due to our early departure or to refund the breakfast money paid. Very disappointing stay, unfriendly staff, expensive room and will definitely not return.

The website did not reflect the signage out-front which only said Back-Packers and not the name we booked under so this was difficult to find at first. Had it said Backpackers on the web-site we would not have booked this place. Must say it was well worth it! Glad we did and we can really recommend this place as the Back-packers are in the rear of the building so our area was for the B&B only.

Review 58：Phoned to tell we would be arriving late at 10 pm. They said it was ok however when we phoned at 9pm to confirm were treated like kids and told it was unacceptable and not correct and that she had people waiting for our rooms ( which was not true) if we had not pre paid we would have not used our rooms as the lady on the phone bordered on plain rude. Would not reccommend establishment to anybody as a result of attitude.

Review 61：Didi,a vivacious bundle of energy inducts us into the routine of her establishment and shows us to the room. It is as luxurious and tastefully outfitted as any good hotel room with a big ensuite and French doors onto a north-facing patio with our own table and chairs. To the left a pool sparkles, we must surely be in heaven? The next morning we breakfast like kings in Didi’s dining room, having to decline the cooked offering as we are full from a huge muesli/yogourt/fresh fruit parfait waiting for us. There is also a huge communal area where guests can cook & eat with ocean views plus a friendly beach-bar.

Review 62：The bed was as hard as a rock, I just as well could've slept on the floor! The curtains are to thin and seethrough to block out the lights from the securitylights around the swimmingpool. We really had no sleep at all due to the above 2 factors.

Our host at Huijs te Marquette was more than willing to show as in and around on our arrival which was very late at night. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good in the morning. We unfortunately had to leave to get to our next destination and did not get a chance to sit and relax by the poolside.
