Reviews for Kirkinca Hotel
Review 1:We didn't like the design of the bathroom and travertine stone the bathroom was finished with. Not hygenic material for the job. Toilet was leaking and not repaired after telling them.
Review 2:We have been given an upgrade for the bigger room. Thank you. The view from breakfast room The room had an old world charm.
Review 3:Super friendly staff. They picked us up from the public parking site, helped us with the bags. They greeted us with elderflower drinks. The rooms were very typical of a village house, with turkish bath style bathrooms. Breakfast at the terrace was amazing.
Review 4:Beautiful and special views except far from the town .Rooms are almost nice but the small one is really hard ,too narrow ~~The boss and the guys are verry nice and the breakfast is good .
Review 5:Excellent location - not in the busy part of town but right on the river where all the great restaurants are. Pool with a great view. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean, all had balconies and views. Breakfast was amazing, at their partner restaurant on the river. Overall, had everything we expected and more. Great value.
Review 6:Lovely small town, almost a village with amazing vistas, quaint homes and plenty of local stores and handicrafts. The staff were helpful, accommodating us a day earlier when our plans changed. The breakfast is delicious as well
Review 7:Very limited Wi-Fi internet access.
Review 8:Location is in a quaint village. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice restaurant just steps away which serves the best eggplant soup.
Review 9:Although there technically WAS free parking as advertised, it was very difficult to navigate the narrow streets. I suggest to drivers not comfortable with this style of driving/parking that you leave the car at the otopark at the entrance (fee 10TL per day) rather than risk the small streets.
Review 10:The views from the breakfast balcony were stunning. Staff was helpful and friendly. It was a lovely, peaceful stay away from the city.
Review 11:What spoilt it for me was the bathroom. Although traditional style, this did need some attention as the smell of mould was quite overwelming.
Review 12:Traditional style, very welcoming owner, fantastic breakfast
Review 13:Nothing to report here.
Review 14:There were six of us and four stayed in the small house and two in a room. The house was cute and charming with two bedrooms upstairs and a small kitchenette downstairs. There was a small courtyard at the front entry where I read and sipped my morning tea. The breakfast was amazing and a feast for the senses. The staff ever helpful and friendly. Awesome stay!
Review 15:We loved the breakfast. Everything was homemade with a very unique taste. The staffs were fantastic. Mustafa upgraded us to a better room complementary as a gift for our honeymoon. We will definitely go back to this hotel again.
Review 16:The pictures in the booking.com site show a room but thats not where we were put up ! No complaints but our room was a little run down . The warmth of the people more than made up for it though.
Review 17:Kirkinca hotels location is in this quaint village which on the whole has 530 people . They are all warm and friendly .
Review 18:Fell in love with Kirkinca along side with the town, absolutely charmingand lovely. The hotel is a short little walk uphill so backpack is theway to go, but so is everything else in this town as it's on ahillside. Our room has it's own fireplace and it was cozy toasty atnight with the fire going. Traditional Turkish breakfast was the best.
Review 19:Bed!! It was soooo hard!! With only a skimpy pillow and a way too thick blanket for a warm night.
Review 20:Service was very good. Owner even parked the car for us & reimbursed us for having to pay for parking when we got to town bc we couldn't find the place. The breakfast was excellent, very fresh, abundant & delicious. It made us forget the uncomfortable bed. Their adjoining restaurant was excellent. They gave us a discount there and at the great Felt shop because we stayed at the hotel.
Review 21:Our room wasn't serviced for the 3 days we were there and because there was spasmodic water pressure our bathroom remained dank and towels were forever damp. Also the smell of camphor in the basin to stop the odour of the pipes was overwhelming. Property was old and tired and didn't live up to its price at all. It's in a quaint and beautifully old village that teems with visitors so there's some very touristy areas. Pool was located a kilometre away and each time we had to rely on one of Mustafa's mates to drive us down a dusty, tiny unsealed road.
Review 22:Breakfast was good, hosts were sweet, and top balcony breakfast room has superb views. Loved the quietness of the place. When all the day trippers had left the night that could be all that could break the peace were the sounds of an early morning tractor wending it's way through the cobblestones. And the sound of the call to prayer echoing through the village.
Review 23:I didn't like that we just had one night there! Plan to stay at least two or more!
Review 24:Everything! The best breakfast ever! But I was not expecting the experience of Sirince, the town. Be aware: the hotel has different "houses" around the town, so don't expect just one centralized location. The town is so small that all locations are great! Plan to arrive before sunset so you can park your car and walk to the hotel. You won't find it it Google Maps as easy. You will have to ask the people where is the hotel. You will find friendly people trying to help you. That was part of a very rewarding and nice experience! Totally recommend it! Also, the restaurant that they own, at a walking distance from the house in which I was staying (and from all others, for sure), was great!!! live music (just a guy with a guitar, soft music, very nice), good wines, great food.
Review 25:You feel like you are at home, this place has soul and very warm people taking care of everything. Manager Mustafa was extremely helpful and friendly. He really went out of his way to help me arrange my whole trip after Sirince. The place they serve breakfast is a lil cute terrace with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was too much you really don't want lunch after all those delicious homemade food.
Review 26:Breakfast is GREAT!!! And the view from the terrace ( where they served breakfast) is marvellous. That place is perfect to see the moonrise!!! The staff was very very kind. Thanks for your hospitality.
Review 27:The swimming pool is very far from the hotel and our house and we had to drive there, but it's next to the bungalows.
Review 28:We loved the breakfast. It is home cooked in front of you. We recommend the mint jam, it's delicious, we only saw it here. The team was super friendly. We booked a room but got a full house and it was very cosy.
Review 29:The hotel website is a misrepresentation of Kirkinca. None of our rooms had the charm or amenities noted on the website and there was no pool. We felt misled. There are a number of Kirkinca locations, it was a bit confusing, perhaps we stayed in the least lovely, but I rather doubt it. It was a big disappointment on on otherwise perfect 10 days in Turkey.
Review 30:The hotel restaurant was very good.
Review 31:Nothing!! We have read negative reviews from people who complain about being waken up by the mosque. This has nothing to do with the hotel; it is part of Turkey!!
Review 32:Great location, beautiful house, excellent staff. Amazing traditional village breakfast served on a terrace with a killer view! Mustafa and staff were very kind and helped us with everything we needed. They make your stay even more enjoyable. Mustafa and Michaela: it was a pleasure meeting you, thank you very much for everything and hope to see you soon!
Review 33:Location and atmosphere
Review 34:Excellent place to stay comfortable helpful people great location and town family owned an excellent restaurant
Review 35:None
Review 36:Staff really helpful, room amazing, good position. Everything was just perfect!
Review 37:No TV
Review 38:Breakfast good, walking distance to shopping street.
Review 39:Staff was most helpful, superb breakfast, great location quaint character
Review 40:bit of rain but no ones fault
Review 41:the staff at swimming pool in the woods ,,the African lady & her youn son,,lovely people
Review 42:During a thunderstorm rain did find it's way into our 2 bedrooms but luckily not onto the beds.
Review 43:Fabulous breakfast & very friendly staff.
Review 44:weird bathroom
Review 45:Breakfast was fantastic
Review 46:staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were basic and rustic looking but in a good way.
Review 47:sincerity and clean..
Review 48:Its quite an old hotel, but it was very well looked after and clean
Review 49:Everything exeeded our expectations
Review 50:Hotel meets the expactation of staying in a village house. It is important to know that standard rooms does not have TV and minibar inside.
Review 51:Nothing. Our hosts organized a great guide and driver for a day trip to Ephesus and drove us to a swimming pool on a hot afternoon.
Review 52:Mustafa and his colleagues made us very welcome. The breakfasts were a great start to each day and we were very well looked after.
Review 53:When booking this hotel, it listed that there was free parking but instead you have to park at the public car park down the hill around the corner. Something to be mindful of if you have luggage. Also not a big fan of the bathroom, difficult to manoeuvre with the marble tub just underneath the shower head.
Review 54:Breakfast was excellent, it was a big spread and the view of the valley from the upper terrace was magnificent. Staff was friendly and offered to help with luggage. We had an upstairs bedroom that was a good size with nice views.
Review 55:The room was small for three persons and nothing like in the photos, which were misleading. The bathroom was terrible. It was tiny and dark and water collected everywhere. The basin was small and had no space to keep anything around it. The seat cover on the pot was loose. There was nothing to hang clothes from. There was barely any space to move around. It was absolutely the worst bathroom I've ever used.
Review 56:Breakfast was good. The staff was helpful and courteous.
Review 57:We had booked at the lovely Kirkinca Houses Hotel at the entrance to the village, where we had stayed in 2008 (the photo matched the photo on the brochure we had kept), but when we arrived at Sirinçe the road to the Kirkinca Houses was blocked. When we asked the way we were diverted to the Kirinca Hotel in the village centre (apparently owned by the same people). When we protested and asked to be taken to the Kirkinca Houses we were met with opposition from the staff and by the time they had agreed our friends had unpacked and didn't want to move. Our dream of returning to the Kirkinca Houses was shattered and after such an unpleasant experience we shall never go there again.
Review 58:Nothing
Review 59:We enjoyed staying in a village setting with great village views. Bed was very comfortable and excellent breakfast each morning. Mustafa was very helpful and made us feel very welcome!
Review 60:Stunning little village close to Ephesus (10 mins) & Kusadasi (20 mins). The atmosphere was great, the people extremely friendly. If you are looking to experience a true gem of a village then this is the place to stay. Little cobbled streets, locals selling their goods, restaurants, wine tasting. Great food & wine great.
Review 61:Extremely over priced , the breakfast wasn't the best
Review 62:Loved the feeling in that little cute village , friendly and very helpful staff , the house was also very cute and well reserved..
Review 63:Located in the beautiful village of Sirence, 10-12 miles from Ephesus and 5-6 miles from Selcuk. Unique quaint location surrounded by hillsides of grape, olive and fruit trees.
Review 64:Nothing. The Kirkinca hotel is fabulous.
Review 65:The staff and owners were incredibly friendly, going out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and at home. The hotel is set in a beautiful and historic village set high in the hills. Many of those who work at the hotel are from the village and are wonderful hosts and so kind. The rooms are well laid out and very comfortable with old, beautiful hand made wood furniture that feels both very authentic but also comfortable. And the restaurant attached is great.
Review 66:Bathrooms are old school and you need to be careful when taking a shower. It's a minor thing. I highly recommend the hotel.
Review 67:Staff, historic building, breakfast!
Review 68:Friendly and warm atmosphere. Very cute village to stay and enjoy traditional food, local produced wine, soaps, etc. Fresh air and green environment. Very close to historical places (Ephesus) and even close to seaside (20-25 km)
Review 69:room was quite small for two people and luggage. There is no vehicle access to the street where the hotel is located, so it is a bit difficult to find and it is necessary to carry luggage a couple of blocks from the parking area to the hotel. The mosque minaret is next door to the hotel, so the call to prayer at 4:30 am is an unwelcome wake up call.
Review 70:charming small converted house in the center of the old village. Breakfast was spectacular, nice views from the room, hotel has a restaurant- one of the best in town- for dinner. Low key, relaxed atmosphere
Review 71:The surroundings and people were fabulous. The village is highlyrecommended. This family business with the politeness of Mustafa is amust when visiting Turkey! This visit will always hold a special placein our hearts.
Review 72:This is more of a pansyon. The room felt like a room in a house. I didn't care for the bathroom because when showering, water got everywhere but other than that it was very cozy.
Review 73:Excellent customer service, kind and knowledgable and friendly host. They go out of their way to make an amazing breakfast spread.
Review 74:The village gets crowded during the day as buses full of tourists come from the nearby Kusadasi for an "authentic" village feel. Fortunately, they leave at some point in the afternoon and if you spent the night in Sirince, you only have to share the village with the locals, the goats and donkeys and a handful of enchanted tourists.
Review 75:The hotel is decorated in a tasty and authentic countryside style which gives you a sense of being part of the wonderful lanscape and village. The owner, Mustafa, and everybody else were being very friendly and welcoming. They serve a delicious (with a touch of local and organic food) breakfast on their beautiful terrace with great views.
Review 76:It takes a little bit of effort to drive to this village, and tonavigate the tiny, narrow stone streets, but you will be rewardedby lovely scenery along the way, warm and friendly people, and agreat sleep.
Review 77:My wife and I have been traveling in various regions of Turkey, and wewanted to experience a little bit of small-village life. The village ofSirince was an ideal choice since it was a mere 20 minutes from thetourist destination of Ephesus, yet afforded us the ability to retreatto the greater tranquility of a small village in the mountains. Thishotel provided us with a charming, spacious room (called Plum) in a 300-year old building. It had all creature comforts, and had windows on 3sides, overlooking the village mosque, rooftops, and green hills andvineyards. The staff were gracious and helpful; the manager, Mustafa wasexceptionally attentive, making long distance calls (at no charge) tohelp us resolve a rental car problem. The sumptuous breakfast in thequiet courtyard, overhung by cherry, apricot and other fruit trees was adelight. The off-premises restaurant, Aspinal, had a lovely terraceoverlooking the village and valley, served delicious food, and featureda wonderful weekend guitarist/singer on slect evenings. We highlyrecommend this hotel.
Review 78:The hotel is overpriced compared to Bella and Femi Bey in Istanbul The Restaurant has a view over a back yard with lots of rubish to look at while you eat. That was really bad. Table cloths were dirty (at the restaurant )
Review 79:We loved the village the atmoshhere and the lovely walks. Breakfast was ok but very limited for the price. The restaurants food that was advised by the staff-Kirkinka was very good. We found the Kirkinka Hotel overpriced if compared to what we got in Istanbul. We loved Mustafa who was amazing
Review 80:Loved the warm and accomodating staff. Vintage building, amazing countryside breakfast with marmalades from fresh village grown fruits and amazing cheese. The hotel's own restaurants had some amazing local dishes (seasonal veggies with local herbs, eggplant, yogurt/garlic/eggplant soup). Our room was large, well decorated and just generally amazing . We went with the right expectations - this is a vintage, old village in the mountains and they do a really good job of giving you that experience.
Review 81:Tired and shabby building, not boutique as described on your website.Potted plants dying and with weeds. Shower room flooded. Windows ilfitting and couldn't open. Dusty. Poor repairthroughout.Disappointing and poor value apart from food.
Review 82:Goos food at hotel and in associated restaurant
Review 83:Nice relaxing hotel very good breakfast and the view from the terrace where you have it are amazing. Also do unlimited tea and coffee on terrace or inside if not so warm. Will stay here again.
Review 84:Everything! From the gorgeous surroundings, to the kindness of Mustafa and the staff to the wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Sirince and Hotel Kirkinca will always hold a special place in my heart. Highly recommended!
Review 85:It is difficult to locate -make sure you ask staff for specificdirections.FYI, you will need your own car to arrive at the hotel as Syrince is located in the mountains.
Review 86:The staff at Kirkinca Hotel were very accomodating and helped usto settle in very easily by bringing us dinner to our remotelylocated cottage.
Review 87:well decorated rooms are warm and comfortable . the staff was extremely helpful .breakfast was one of the best i've ever had. Location is good with a lovely village view from terrace, 15 minutes drive from Ephesus ruins
Review 88:No complaints. It was quaint, had WiFi and has beautiful views ofSirince.
Review 89:The staff was just lovely. They were very hospitable. The complimentarybreakfasts were simply amazing (exceeded our expectations) and therestaurant onsite offered some of the best meals I had during my 10-daytrip in Turkey. It felt like I was eating delicious home-cooked meals.
Review 90:The price and the cleanliness
Review 91:The local and the staff.
Review 92:We loved staying in a village with local restaurants and contact with Turkish people. Food in Sirince was delicious.
Review 93:breakfast
Review 94:Staff was extremely hospitable and very helpful. A great value that cannot be measured by just the room or facilities.
Review 95:An authentic hotel to blend in with the beautiful town! The breakfast was to die for! Staff was extra friendly.
Review 96:village is amazing, great wine tasting, close to Ephesus great place to spend a night to travel the historical places around
Review 97:It was a noisy night
Review 98:Village life, beautiful people
Review 99:The room had a private hammam and a traditional turkish decoration. Delicious breakfast at terrasse with peacefull view on the village
Review 100:Great welcome, quiet village setting, best breakfast in Turkey, exceptionally clean and tastefully appointed rooms
Review 101:had trouble with the wifi.
Review 102:my room was beautiful and comfortable. the hotel itself had so much charm and was located in a spectacular location.
Review 103:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant attached was outstanding.
