Review 1：I didn't like the smell of smoking cigarettes all around the hotel in the hallway and in the room. I didn't feel comfortable at the beginning because the smell was too strong. I tried to open the window but I couldn't fully open it.

Review 2：I like having a kitchenette in my staying there I did my lunch and in the morning I did my breakfast. The room was pretty convenient.

Review 4：Nearly complete kitchen setup but no cooking or eating utensils of any kind, no coffee maker.

Review 10：I'm uncertain whether the whole hotel is a smoking hotel, but our room certainly was. We had no indication in our reservation that it was. The smell was so sickening, even after going to the supermarket to buy deodorizers, that we checked out the next day even though we still had one night left. Not sure if we got a refund. Although the room was otherwise clean, the bed was very uncomfortable and the otherwise cheap and cramped. However, we did not care because of the smell.

We asked her about local restaurants and she told us her favorites but when we came down to leave we found her with a list of places we could try. Can't remember her name but she is a true gem to this hotel.

Review 24：My upstairs neighbor had heavy footsteps (I suppose the floor is wooden). For an older guy, the mattress is too firm, the pillows too soft. Chairs could be a bit more comfortable. Wi-Fi: In my room was inaccessible. However; the room has a connection to the hotel's network via cable. Tim, a fine young man, provided one of the hotel's cables for us. The network speed is okay for general use. Gaming is slow and forget watching a movie (online) without delays.

Review 25：Staff: friendly, helpful, responsive and very busy. Laundry Room: Clean, machines are new and in good working order. Security: Access to building and room require a card key. Good location, just off I-75, 10 minutes from anywhere in Gainesville (except during rush hour).

No deposit was mentioned nor wasthe extra money mentioned when we booked this motel. The staff washorrible the room had an odor and you had to pay extra for cleaningwhich didn't occur it was the worst hotel experience of my lif Iwill not ever stay at Value Place in Gainesville Florida nor would Irecommend it to anyone.
