Reviews for Hotel Sirince Evleri
Review 1:All good
Review 2:A beautiful location in a well-restored 19th century village. Lovely garden homes nestled into the hills surrounded by orchards, vinyards and olive groves greet you in this happy place. Tourists come to spend the day shopping in the handicraft stores and enjoying the traditional food in the restaurants. Ahmet Bey was the host extraordinaire who spends time with his guests and thoroughly enjoys a chat over tea. He is very knowledgeable and multilingual. On my last day he took me along to visit Tire, a small town, to see market day in a traditional setting. While we were there he invited me to a hearty regional breakfast of lamb and rice soup with meat and pide bread on the side. Wonderful cultural experience.
Review 3:Nothing. All good!
Review 4:Ahmet was very helpful, with local knowledge and an obvious passion for Sirince. He made practical suggestions regarding how best to see the main sights, suiting my needs as a traveller. Breakfast was superb, and the wine and cheese etc in the evening on the terrace excellent.
Review 5:Charming B&B, vintage decor, but the rooms are kept up to date and very clean. Very good breakfast served by the very kind and helpful Isha (spelling?).
Review 6:Dirt paths too and from the hotel were hard to walk at night with limited lighting both on the path and at the hotel entry. Most expensive place we stayed on our trip and felt we did not receive comparable value. One of our three rooms had a bad odor and the offered solution was lavender on the pillow.
Review 7:Location at the heart of a charming town. Owner who is ever present to offer advice and sightseeing recommendations. Breakfast and welcome drink enjoyed on the terrace were memorable. Fantastic to be able to enjoy Sirince before and after the busloads of tourists who visit during the day.
Review 8:A down point which i only include for a balanced review was ground floor room suffered some drainage smells, so pip for a top floor room.
Review 9:If you want somewhere to stay somewhere to see Ephesus this town is a great choice. The Evleri hotel is great in many ways. The staff are fantastic and helpful.Ahmet is the owner and can help you in any way you need be that tourist advice, bus advice etc etc.For example he even took us to the restaurant we wanted to go to for dinner even through it was not his one (In which we had a great lunch) he was just happy to help. The room was traditional and in a wonderful location and well the breakfast was like a utopia on a plate, getting hungry just writing this.I would say just stay here dont bother with anywhere else.
Review 10:The bathroom needs major refurbishing and the cleanliness has to be improved. The price is too high comparatively to similar accomodations in Turkey.
Review 11:The location is beautiful. The owner and staff are very welcoming and kind. The place is charming, quiet and well situated. The terrace is beautiful.
Review 12:There was nothing I did not like.
Review 13:This hotel is tucked away on a hillside away from the main street. So the only sounds you hear are birds warbling, an occasional dog barking, an imam with the most beautiful voice chanting prayers. The building is of stone with a red tile roof built by Greeks who settled there many years ago, and the furnishings are authentically Ottoman. Modern conveniences include air conditioning, wifi, and a hair dryer. Breakfast is filling and fresh, as the town is situated among farms, vineyards, and groves of olives and peaches. The owner, Ahmet Kocak, and his assistant, Ishah, were attentive without being intrusive and gracious in their anticipation of my needs.
Review 14:One of our favorite hotels. The room was beautiful and felt like being in Turkey in the past. The breakfast was amazing on the patio looking over the wonderful village. This was a memorable stay.
Review 15:This comment may make me THAT boring but I would have liked internet in the room.
Review 16:A lovely characterful property run by a lovely characterful owner! The experience can best be summarised as like staying with your slightly eccentric, long lost Turkish cousin. If you need everything "just so" maybe not for you, but if you're not that boring you'll have a lovely time.
Review 17:There were no personal. Owner was trying to serve for everything.
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:Will worth the extra distance when visiting the Efes area.
Review 20:Nothing comes to mind
Review 21:The staff were terrific and very helpful. The experience was amazing with the old charm matching the quaint township.
Review 22:n/a
Review 23:Magnificent! ... enjoying breakfast on the terrace and the views from there. Ahmet the proprietor really does look after his guests. He is very knowledgeable about the area and is very happy to help with any queries or travel arrangements. The breakfast is simply amazing .. all the ingredients are so fresh and I believe most of them local. To sit on the terrace and look across the rooftops at the olive groves, poplar trees and hillside was so tranquil. The rooms, yes are small, but with a lot of character; much thought has gone in to the refurbishment and decoration of this delightful old building. Sirince has some good eateries ... it was lovely to wander round the little streets, and also out into the hillside. look at the crafts etc for sale. October was a good time to visit for me. Not too hot but warm enough to sit outside during the day time.
Review 24:Very friendly and helpful owner who genuinely takes pride in hishospitality and is fluent in many European languages. Owner/host(well versed in the details of the area and in particular the site ofEphesus.) The proudly prepared breakfast will save you eating lunch.
Review 25:The bathroom facilities need a little renovation.
Review 26:The owner of the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing. The location is also very nice. The eye for detail for design of the rooms and preserving the original character is great.
Review 27:No hot water was availble when needed it took some time as it is and old village
Review 28:Sirince is a nice village but it has become very turistical and expensive due to increased attention
Review 29:There was almost no storage space in my room. The room had no phone. During the weekend there might be disco sounds from neighboring establishments until 11:30 PM.
Review 30:The hotel is beautiful, located in the beautiful village of Sirince. There is a good bus connection to Selcuk. The owner speaks fluently English, French and Italian in addition to Turkish, which is a precious rarity in Turkey. My laptop did not work so he graciously allowed me to use his. He also accompanied me to the bank to get my traveler's cheques exchanged, a lengthy and difficult transaction, probably impossible without a Turkish speaking aide in that corner of the world. The owner was very helpful in every respect and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. Breakfast was very good.
Review 31:More expensive than our other stays but the advantages outweighed this.Delighted to have found this lovely place.
Review 32:Delightful village full of character (though obviously quite touristry),comfy room, great breakfast. Wonderful hospitality and helpfulness ofAhmet and Nuray. He went out of his way to assist and advise us and thatmade our stay particularly worth while.
