Reviews for Mediterraneo Resort
Review 1:The room was very out dated the furniture had stains on it and the curtains were torn. The heater didn't work and the room smelled like mold. I had a asthma attack from the mold on our way to dinner. As we left the next day I noticed a bottle of wine in the trash can but had not had wine on this trip. This was one of the worst room I have every stayed in by far. I don't usuall go into such detail but this one was warranted.
Review 2:The man at the front desk was nice
Review 3:Housekeeping never came during the two day stay and GM blamed them instead of taking ownership of not getting room serviced
Review 4:Old world charm, small and well cared for
Review 5:House keeping has room for improvement.
Review 6:The location was perfect for me. The room and bed were comfortable it was great to have a kitchen. The manager was caring and helpful.
Review 7:Well the jacuzzi needs to be hotter the water was cold to me
Review 8:I love the decor and I just love love love this hotel I would recommend a thousand times over to friends abd family
Review 9:Refrigerator needs servicing. Water accumulated to almost overflow in the catch tray below the freezer on a one day stay.
Review 10:The convenience of filled ice machine all day and night on a hot weather day. I appreciated this after staying at another hotel the day before that had a broken ice machine
Review 11:The property needs to be updated. The murphy bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Review 12:The staff was very nice and accommodating from the time we walked into the lobby. The property was clean and easy to find. A great value .
Review 13:No cable TV!! Nice size tv but nothing to watch! Not even a DVD player! Also no radio :(
Review 14:Staff...the manager was very atentive and nice he walked us to our room and showed u around.
Review 15:The pool and Jacuzzi were not heated enough. The pool could have been cleaner. the Wi-Fi was not strong enough to hit our room. I would like a guide to the tv channels.
Review 16:I loved the décor and rooms were large and comfortable. Manny was very helpful and friendly! The grounds were very pretty.
Review 17:There was a mildly musty smell in the room, but it dissipated quickly after opening the windows for 10-15 minutes. I think the room we stayed in hadn't been used for awhile.
Review 18:The location was excellent and the gentleman who owns the property is very friendly and helpful. The premises are nicely decorated and the rooms are great for a small group or couple.
Review 19:Too few kitchen items. No coffee pot. Pot and pan had metal handlesmaking them unusable when hot. There were no potholders or kitchentowels. Has mini fridge. Families beware: 2 gay bars and free aidsclinic across the street.
Review 20:Huge suite. Two nice pools with cabanas.
Review 21:TV did not have a very clear picture - hate to even mention since we were so pleased!
Review 22:Excellent value - exceeded our expectations! The suite was superb - roomy clean beautiful decor!
Review 23:dirty pool with poor equipment, multiple violations of health laws. Chose this one because advertised on site bar and restaurant , big lie on the internet. Old smell in unit etc.
Review 24:friendly guests you could talk to
Review 25:The restaurant/bar wasn't open. Would have been nice but we had a kitchenette so we cooked our own meals. Couldn't get the WiFi to work.
Review 26:Felt very at home, everyone was nice. Manny was great.
Review 27:I didn't like the room we had, Murphy bed. And we showed up late for our reservation and the night attendant was a little upset.
Review 28:I like the grounds and theme of the hotel. I also like that it had two pools.
Review 29:Small hot tube, dirty water in hot tube, dirty bed.
Review 30:I expected hot tub, but hot tub was so small and dirty water. Moreover, manager knocked the door to check if we are in the room to not around 12am. Bed was dirty. I asked I can get one more bath towel, but nobody came for bath towel.
Review 31:The rooms were immaculate and beautiful. The grounds were stunning. The owner/manager Manny was great. How nice, cabanas by the pool areas at a first-come, first-serve basis. 24/7 use of the pool, Jacuzzi and sauna as long as people are respectful, and they were.
Review 32:The room smelled like fish when we entered, the dishes were dirty, the water in the bathroom sinks were merky, the refrigerator was a mini fridge, and the stove got hot without turning it on. Also maid service turned air of while we were out.
Review 33:The room had two bathrooms, a kitchen of sorts, a living room, and had a couch bed
Review 34:No internet, dirty, old, and grubby. Gasoline powered weed mower operated outside my door at 8am. Not a resort, but a timeshare place trying to make a couple of bucks on the side renting out extra rooms.
Review 35:Nothing.
Review 36:Perhaps the worst bed ever had in a hotel room. Shower was clean but very slow to drain. For the price, keeping looking elsewhere. Old place badly in need of remodeling and upgrades.
Review 37:Place was clean
Review 38:Needs updating. The maid showed me the unit that's been updated and it is gorgeous. We'll stay in that one next time; nevertheless, we enjoyed our 1 bedroom suite very much. The cabanas need to be moved in a way to view the mountains better and leave out pool towels. We didn't get to use any as they were all used.
Review 39:Mr. Montoya, the owner, was very accommodating. We stayed in #48 which was spacious and clean.Love the gardens and poolside cabanas.
Review 40:Needs an update. Still uses actual keys and pull down murphy beds even in the deluxe rooms. Also manager was up at midnight sawing open a door. No apology or rectification.
Review 41:Loved the outdoor decor.
Review 42:The room was awkward; the kitchen seemed brand new, but the murphy bed, stained couch and dingy bathroom were in need of major updates.
Review 43:This is a very quirky place. It has some charm, and the hot tub was nice. The people were friendly.
Review 44:The bed was a murphy bed that the linens look like they hadn't been updated since 1980. VERY uncomfortable and hidden behind the murphy bed was an airbrush painting of a sunset that did not fit the decor at all. It literally looked like you time traveled to spring break '83 when you pulled the bed out of the wall... They clearly spent a lot of money updated the room, they should have just done away with the murphy bed and spent the money on a new regular bed instead.
Review 45:The room was modern and decorated nicely. Very clean. The front desk was nice and let us check in early.
Review 46:As some reviews have pointed out, this hotel is hit or miss with some room remodeled and others not. It is actually 3 separate buildings and the quality of room probably depends on which building you are placed. The grounds and staff were great and quirky but found the room unfinished with a "contractors special" vibe, probably not up to any code.
Review 47:Location. The Mediterraneo, AKA Adriatic is very close to uptown downtown Palm Springs. Pricing was good for a holiday weekend.
Review 48:It was one of the two worst hotels I have ever been to. Loud from the street at night, hardly any water coming out from the shower. Definitely overpriced. The manager is trying his best... But... Wait til the ones next-door take a shower, you only get cold water. Sorry, but noway at this price!!
Review 49:Nothing
Review 50:The bed was a Murphy bed, which I don't recall being mentioned on the website. In fairness, maybe it was on the website I booked quickly. The bed itself was really uncomfortable matched with mixed blend sheets, nothing nice. The bath towels were gross and cheap, and needed to be replaced anyway due to overuse. It's too bad, the property is cute and has potential, but being clean sometimes isn't enough.
Review 51:The location was nice and staff friendly.
Review 52:Couldn't use the fridge, a very bad odor. The facility is a little dated. But they seem to be working on it.
Review 53:Great kitchen, two bathrooms, living room...
Review 54:Toilet dirty, visible hair under sheets, stained comforter to mention a few. Sometime at night the lights in the motel and parking lot are turned off (I could not see the end of the hall). Almost killed myself trying to decend the stairs in the early morning. Thank you iphone for the awsome flashlight! Oh and by the way the real name of the "resort" is Adriatic Resort. Never again.
Review 55:Hot water...took 20-30 minutes to heat up. No maid service. Towels very thin and small.
Review 56:Rooms clean and comfortable. Grounds were lovely...weather allowed us to sit outside. Location was no problem. Parking plentiful. Didn;'t use kitchen at all.
Review 57:We are early birds and coffee wasn't ready until 7am, no big deal though
Review 58:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this economy priced resort. The pools have amazing mountain views and our studio was spacious with a full kitchen. We didn't mind the Murphy bed, which we understand every studio has. Would recommend to others looking for a comfortable value stay.
Review 59:Drove past the place twice - name of hotel changed. Trash from previous guests in the trash. Wi-Fi didn't work. Was offered the Wi-Fi in the lobby if needed. Heat in room was not working. Heater part needed to be replaced requiring at least three personnel in the room - rather than offering a different room. Kitchen not cleaned daily - left dishes in the sink. Bed's not made daily. Towels picked up but not replaced. Faucets in kitchen (hot cold) were labeled opposite. The place is a dump.
Review 60:The grounds were nice. Lot's of water feature and an abundance of outdoor furniture
Review 61:WiFi doesn't work- false advertising. Overpriced Restaurant with mediocre food. Staff doesn't understand the menu. Difficult to find- Hotel has no "Mediterraneano" sign or street number posted. Hotel name from former owner "Adriatic" is still posted.
Review 62:Very Friendly Staff- manager shared his personal wifi hotspot (required sitting in the lobby) because the hotel's doesn't work.
Review 63:There no water pressure, and I was not able to take a shower. Literally, I had to use a water c to collect the "slow" running water to pour over me. So, it took a long time to take a shower. I should really ask for a refund. Your towels feel like cardboard.
Review 64:The outside comfort and having a kitchen to cook. I stayed in studio 26, but please fix the water; period.
Review 65:Outdated rooms, no working wi-fi, terrible staff, told it would be $25 to clean room each day, broken shower, milky white water from taps, natural gas from stove smell reeks the entire room, paper-thin walls, thinnest most threadbare towels I have ever seen, the list goes on and on....
Review 66:The smell of the shampoo...and I'm being generous.
Review 67:The gym equipment maybe should be in a hidden area
Review 68:Wonderful hidden treasure in Palm Springs, especial during quiet seasons and very friendly staff and great accommodations especially when it's 1 bedroom with king bed and kitchen, and lovely italian-villa like courtyard with 2 pools and dry sauna!
Review 69:Where do I start??? The first "u fresh" smell that hit me when I opened the door for the first time was an eye opener it's not going o be a nice stay. The bed was so uncomfortable I'm still experiencing aches on parts of my body. Oh, and also the noisiest one by all means. There was no hot water at all, so for the 2 nights we stayed there, we had to endure some cold quick showers. And there's nothing they did even after a million calls to the Front Desk! It was a total waste of my money.
Review 70:The only thing I liked was their fast Internet and the Close Proximity to the Downtown.
Review 71:The parking was far away from the entrances to the rooms and the resort. It would of been nice if the entrances were closer to the resort and rooms.
Review 72:I would recommend this resort because my stay there was a really good experience. The facility was beautiful, clean, comfortable and the scenery was beautiful.
Review 73:Around 8am or so, there was a radio on speakers, blasting right outside our room, which made it sound like there was a party going on first thing in the morning. The ambiance and tranquility of the place was lost at that moment with loud music and radio commercials.
Review 74:I really loved the atmosphere, the size of the suite we were in, and we had pretty much everything we needed. It was tranquil and quiet for the most part.
Review 75:The toilet near the bedroom was filthy. A few crickets indoors. Also there was a big black beetle which was near the closet. Bed was hard & bedspread was really outdated. Did not look like the white comforters on line.
Review 76:King suite....very spacious and quaint. Nicely decorated. Outdoors was peaceful. Alex was extremely accommodating when our air unit vents weren't working properly. Very helpful when I had trouble booking. Perfect getaway !
Review 77:A/C vent blew right on the bed. Fortunately it wasn't too hot, so we just turned it off at night. During the hot season (most of the year in this area) this might be a problem. No coffee in the room even though we had an otherwise fully-stocked kitchen. Coffee was available by the office, but not until after 9am. Had to drive to get coffee at 7am.
Review 78:Property a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The property was very cute and cozy, with lots of fun details and amenities. Mattress seemed a bit old, but slept just fine. Really enjoyed the full kitchen in the unit. Felt like an apartment rather than a hotel. Could stay here for an extended trip very comfortably. Large towels were available by the pools.
Review 79:New bar, didn't take any cash. Rooms are old and outdated which is fine but not for $100!!!!! Could have stayed at a bestwestern for less and had better furniture and beds.
Review 80:Pool area. Staff friendly.
Review 81:I will never stay here again. Worst experience I have ever had. Alexandria is the reservations manager. She is not even on site, you have to call her. Very unknowledgable, disrespectful and has no clue how to conduct a hospitality service. We booked at the Desert Vacation Villas across the street immediately. I would not recommend anyone go here.
Review 82:* Rooms had air condition off, took a while to get to a comfortable level * Kitchen area was small. But for the price can't really complain
Review 83:* Enjoyed Mike, He went our of his way to attend to your needs * Pools were not crowded. *
Review 84:Wouldn't let us check in at 2pm. The hotel is sprawled out and a bit like a warren. No assistnace up a flight of stairs and narrow passages with our bags. After we lgged them all up we were advised by another guest there was an easier way! Still had the stairs to contend with. No restaurant or bar on site or within walking distance
Review 85:Suite was clean, 2 showers were great with a teenager.
Review 86:The area had a lot of homeless people hanging around the parking lot. They need to have more security
Review 87:The swimming pools were very nice and it was quiet.
Review 88:Motel 6 has nicer grounds. Where can I begin... They have a random hotdog cart, run down gym machine randomly next to the pool, a random car just parked on the grounds, homeless literally living in the parking lot, pool chairs in shambles, rundown dirty and not worth it. The guy who showed us the room looked like he just had walked in from the street and when checking out the girl at the desk looked like she just got out of prison. We actually left to another hotel to spend the day because this dump was too much to handle. No ice buckets for the room, no safe parking, stains on couches in room... Their hotel Instagram is a huge lie making the "resort" seem like a "resort" random BBQ pit, mini golf and really ugly and gross pond featuring broken lights, dead plants and a gnome. I am actually embarrassed that I stayed here. If zero stars was an option it would be given. Better luck at a model 6 just down the road.
Review 89:The price was good. My favorite part about staying here was checking out.
Review 90:The sofa bed hurt my back a little need better mattress
Review 91:The quietness
Review 92:Place tired, unloved, tatty. Sad as it has potential and was obviously something great.
Review 93:Location central.
Review 94:Poor kitchen utensils
Review 95:Friendly staff and clean surroundings
Review 96:Resort was in restarvation, restorant was closed!
Review 97:Small, cute, quiet resort !
Review 98:All of this hotel (? Motel or inn) but the price is Hotel.
Review 99:Nothing at all!!!!

Review 101:The room was perfect.
Review 102:No bar, no restaurants like the web page states. Sort of run down.

Review 125:Pool not heated.. Bed terribly uncomfortable ..
Review 126:Manny the manager was great.. It's a beautiful place..
Review 127:Everything was fine except the smell. It was very roomy and mostly as advertised. There was just no getting past the smell though.
