Reviews for Snake River Lodge & Spa
Review 1:The girl at the desk was very helpful and when we wanted to stay an extra night she upgraded us to a very nice suite. She was more than happy to help with whatever was needed.
Review 2:The noise from children in the pool could be heard in our room overlooking the pool.
Review 3:Staff were all VERY pleasant, from the doorman, to the front desk person, to the server in the restaurant!
Review 4:I felt like the breakfast buffet was over priced for what was on it. I felt the bed was hard and could have been more comfortable. Room did not have a stunning view.
Review 5:The place was clean, the location is excellent.
Review 6:I don't know if it was specific to the location of our room, but the night was anything but quiet. There was a constant mechanical sound accompanied by a periodic louder sound that kept me awake all night. What is the use of having a comfortable bed if you can't sleep because of loud noise from the hotel itself. This was not outside noise. The staff member that checked me in was not very friendly and didn't provide much information. I felt that I was being snubbed because I didn't fit in with the usual type clientele. That was just my feeling at check-in. As what normally tends to be the case, the overall aesthetics of location and decor were not as eye-appealing as presented in the web site pictures. If you don't plan to take advantage of the "resort" amenities, then the additional $30 resort fee greatly decreases your value for the money.
Review 7:The hotel is very well adorned for the area and has numerous "resort" amenities. The room was spacious, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. In whatever order that you prefer, its great if you plan to visit in the winter and ski/drink/eat/shop.
Review 8:Room was small for the amount of money and I didn't appreciate the $30 resort fee that was dropped on me at checkout or that breakfast was going to be another $20. Too expensive for a nights rest in general.
Review 9:The pool was fun. The mountains were pretty.
Review 10:Bad experience at bar and dining since it way understaffed. We reallyfelt sorry for BartenderShould have at least one elevator that works normally and allows more than 2 people. Wait was long due to other guests and cleaning staff. We stayed 4 days and our room was always the last to clean. Our 4th day, she did not clean bathroom
Review 11:The staff was wonderful. Jessie who was the concierge did a fantasticjob of finding us restuarants and things to do in Jackson Hole. She madeour stay. We were celebrating our 45th anniversary.
Review 12:Having afternoon sweets & bites without a cocktail or punch is not much fun.
Review 13:Closeness to the park entrance. Great facilities and staff who are most understanding and helpful.
Review 14:Wi fi in Business area slow...that is all!
Review 15:Beautiful...great find as we were coming thru the Tetons, it was getting late, starting to rain & we were tired. This was a great find & they also honored our great rate for a second night stay. Spa--AH-mazing! Everything clean!!!
Review 16:They change sheet but not everythings. Much dust and dont give enough soap or gown for shower..not worthy 250$ We were honeymoon so we were hoping they decorste so we request previously and called but they did not do anything for deco or special.. So this resort is very bad for honeymoon couple...
Review 17:Its in teton vilage. 20 minutes away from airport. Too far from yellowstone so it is not good idea to go yellowstone from here..i like the fact near lifting, obstracle course, gondola & tram..
Review 18:Bed was very soft. Breakfast buffet was outrageously priced, parking was very hard to find in self park and far away from the hotel.
Review 19:Nice large bathrooms.
Review 20:We had an ice machine next to our room making a lot of noise during the night. A bit of a shame for a hotel if this standard.
Review 21:Great hotel with an excellent spa! We had a fantastic time there after a night in the woods!!!
Review 22:NOTHING
Review 23:Excellent Staff; Very helpful each and every time we asked them about anything! Room was absolutely beautiful. Shower was amazing. Steam available in the shower was wonderful. Room furnishings were excellent. Starbuck Pike Place Roast coffee in the morning was perfect.
Review 24:The concierge was not friendly or helpful, almost rude. She provided information but didn't assist in any way.
Review 25:We had issue with our travel and when the hotel heard our story they surprised us with free amenities such as Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary, free high quality breakfasts for our entire stay, and waived our resort fee. They went way above and beyond our expectations. The pool and hot tubs were great.
Review 26:Resort fees on top of high cost. Our room was near elevator and everything was so noisy. Maybe noisiest room I've ever been in.
Review 27:Modern update of the hotel, bit upscale with spa and seemed more suited to families with children.
Review 28:The carpet wasn't very clean. Our room was tiny!! The toilet flushed so loud it sounded like a jet taking off. The concierge woman was not only unpleasant but appeared to be annoyed by our questions. The price of the tiny room was so beyond expensive for the type of room we actually got. I was under the impression that our "delux" room would be a suite but not at all!!
Review 29:We liked the beautiful location and the valet staff along with the informative bartender.
Review 30:Bedroom lighting was too dark. In the evening it was hard to read. Bed was a little too soft and pillows were very small. We went into town and bought 2 pillows.
Review 31:Great staff, great location, great price for location. Jessie our concierge was awesome:)
Review 32:We didn't like the fact that you get charged a $33.00 fee, even if you don't use the extra perks of the lodge and spa. You should only charge the people who are going to use them.
Review 33:We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the lodge. The room was very comfortable. The staff was wonderfully helpful.
Review 34:Very noisy air conditioning unit. It woke us almost every time it kicked in. We were also disappointed in the dining options.
Review 35:The location was excellent, much easier access to the park vs. going all the way through Jackson Hole.
Review 36:The beds were horrible, compared to my home accommodations. Everything was super pricy, and you pretty much must spend big to eat, because there is nowhere to go.
Review 37:The lodge itself was amazing by its scenery and location at the base of a mountain. I loved the lift to the mountain top.
Review 38:Manager gave us a room that was already occupied. (Awkward) Fortunately it was all straightened out by another employee who was very kind.
Review 39:Most of the staff there were kind and helpful. I appreciated all of the recommendations for places to eat from one woman that worked at the hotel restaurant. Beds were ok. Beautiful setting.
Review 40:The restaurant not available for its guest to have dinner in. It was booked for a private party. We had to eat at the bar. Not a pleasurable place to dine, when you would like a nice quite area to relax, after a long day of travel
Review 41:We enjoyed walking around the Teton Village. We loved the pool area with the hot tub, very cozy.
Review 42:No robes, couldn't get assistance from the front desk. Did seem to have enough staff to help in check in or out
Review 43:The view from our room and the atmosphere
Review 44:Disappointed in overall service of wait staff at breakfast. Inattentive, frazzled, understaffed and overall a poor experience 4 days in a row! They simply seemed overwhelmed.
Review 45:Location was great and overall very satisfied
Review 46:The indoor & outdoor Spa didn't work. The pool in/outdoor pool was not warm enough. The room TV Did Not have the NFL station for Thursday night Football. Very Irrating.
Review 47:Nice place , clods to Lifts, with a good staff.
Review 48:Not being able to get in from the outside doors. Keys didn't work. But that's all we can say. Everything else great. We realized we were there when season just started so that was really no biggie.
Review 49:Chris who waited on us for breakfast every morning was excellent. He had our orange juice ready my diet Pepsi ready he was friendly so quick and personable we really enjoyed him! Evan was also great he helped when our key didn't work in room. Also ski valet was excellent. The friendliest staff!
Review 50:Nothing
Review 51:Great countryside setting if you don't want to stay in the town of Jackson Hole. Awesome indoor/outdoor pool and spa facilities. Bike rentals on site and seasonal horseback riding located across the street. Tram takes you to the top of the mountain next to the hotel. Great accommodations! Everything you could want is at this lodge.
Review 52:The hotel is 12 miles from Jackson. It's a nice get away. There were restaurants in the hotel and in the village complex around the hotel but the eateries in town were a short drive.
Review 53:The pool was perfect. The kids could swim inside and then through an access to the heated outside pool. The two jacuzzi pools were also heated. The fireplace in the room kept the room warm and provided a great look. The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was a hit! Jackson Hole is expensive but this hotel was a great value! Highly recommend!
Review 54:The only thing was most of our view of the pool from our window was blocked by a wall and made the room a little dark. We spent a lot of our time in the beautiful bar and lobby enjoying everything.
Review 55:Everything ! The décor, the food, the staff. The staff were friendly, helpful and everyone made our stay delightful.
Review 56:The bartender was rude and did not know how to mix anything properly. Parking was an issue. The lot was a block away unless you paid for valet parking.
Review 57:Very beautiful. Felt like you were the only ones there. Front desk staff was wonderful on and very accomodating.
Review 58:The gentleman who checked us in was not very helpful or welcoming. Elevator was broken & we had to go up a lot of stairs, and then outside to get to our room. Fire alarm went off in the early morning & we were not given any indication that we could return to our room. Very poor management.
Review 59:Nothing was up to par.
Review 60:25 $ per night Resort fee this fee "Allows access to the pool , the Internet hot tub /sauna and two free bottles of water when checking in whoa....... I can get these services included in a room rate from Super 8 motels lol
Review 61:Floor was filthy!we notified staff concierge responded quickly and offer another room comped our breakfast and reduced our rate super nice lady and very much tried to make it right. No assistance offer for baggage, pain in the tail to get your belongs to the room.somewhat overpriced for service offered.
Review 62:Super nice staff.breakfast buffet was great!
Review 63:$300+ for a room then they charge you an additional $25 resort fee which includes access to their pool and their exercise room. Oh, it included "Free self parking". The queen sized bed had a furrow in the center.
Review 64:Decor was fabulous! Nice size rooms. Real HD TV The carved bears and wall hangings in the lobby, were very very nice.
Review 65:Our room was a deluxe king with balcony. From our bed the view was of a stone wall. At $419 per night we were a little disappointed. We changed to a double queen room at $359 and it was much bigger with a nice view.
Review 66:I liked being at the Teton Village. The staff were very friendly.
Review 67:Paid a high price, spent sleepless nights. Elevator motors are noisy, laundry machines run all night long. Sa.y goodbye to your sleep
Review 68:Nothing. Staff makes promises did not deliver
Review 69:Everything in this hotel is very expensive, including the breakfast & washer/dryer. Go to the cafe place in the Village (1 min walking), great sandwich if you are patient with the long line. There is a resort fee on the top of the rent. You really can not say no when you have reserved it and no where to go in such a small village. The staff is ok, not very patient since they are so tired for hosting so many guests in the summer. I would not consider staying in that area in the future, rather to drive another 1-2 hours to stay in a small town with reasonable price and quality
Review 70:The location is great. It is historic building with some interesting insight.
Review 71:Our room. Our "balcony" turned out to be an ugly concrete pad looking out on a blank wall, with a bunch of lawn chairs (some broken) stashed under our window. Lighting was poor, and room was small for the price. We asked for a new room - manager said they were fully booked (a Vacancy sign was still out at 10 PM). She did refund our $25 resort fee and comped us 2 free drinks; better than nothing.
Review 72:Location
Review 73:Concierge was not very knowledgeable about anything other than hotel activities. Our room was nice but had a comically bad view (entire window blocked by roof of second building.
Review 74:Beautiful hotel, excellent food, Pool and spa area are also excellent.
Review 75:Nothing to dislike but overpriced. Defined as luxury which I would disagree with. The pool was interesting but whole pool area not as clean as it could be - not dirty , just worn and a bit grubby.
Review 76:Very comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Fluffy bathrobes. Fabulous location
Review 77:We had a room with 2 Queen beds (would have preferred a King bed but that is what was available). Both of the Queen beds had mattresses that sagged in the middle causing you to roll to the middle of the bed. They needed to be changed.
Review 78:The lodge itself was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 79:the toilet flushing was weird (like a freight train). The cleaning staff did not clean our room right away it was late afternoon around 4pm when they go around to it.
Review 80:location in Teton Village was great. Valle staff was very helpful. The spa area was good and the pool area was very well organized and clean.

Review 93:Really liked the large commodious room and bath and its decor. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Review 94:Parking,WiFi
Review 95:Staff was rude. Hotel was overpriced.
Review 96:Not such. The staff was rude. Nice place in the winter. Nothing much to see/do in the summer.
Review 97:Great location and friendly staff.
Review 98:Breakfast is kind of cold.
Review 99:Nice pool, friendly staff but the breakfast that we paid addition is a little bit cold.
Review 100:Very comfortable. Use of spa was offered but in a week-end stay with all the other activities, we didn't have time to use it.
Review 101:TV did not work properly and hot water was intermittent.
Review 102:location= views - aminities
Review 103:Advertised as a spa but more like a children's water area.not ideal for adults
Review 104:Area, staff. Hotel in general
Review 105:Location is a little far for touring around the park, although not by much. We can see it's perfect for skiing though.
Review 106:Almost everything
Review 107:The site had many options and a great staff
Review 108:We had no bad experiences during our trip.
Review 109:Great location, good staff, very nice room. We enjoyed the Village and the area surrounding the Hotel.

Review 123:How expensive breakfast was in restaurant.
Review 124:Swimming pool. Access to bike trails.
Review 125:View from rooms is restricted due to adjacent structures.
Review 126:Helpful and courteous staff. Wonderful room with fireplace and jacuzzi. Lovely, large pool and spa. Convenient to Grand Tetons and Jackson.
Review 127:As a business traveler, the rooms are not geared for working....poor lighting and no desk space.
Review 128:beautiful views; good selection of restaurants at Teton Village; free tram to top of Mt. was great; good coffee
Review 129:Having to pay $25 a day to use the WI-FI. in today's world that is outrageous, yes they had it bundled with using the fitness center and pool. but, all I wanted was to use the WI-FI
Review 130:Our room was too warm and it took multiple hours for it to cool down.
Review 131:I loved the lodge and the staff. They made us feel like we were the most important guests. I am sure that is the way they treat everyone. Our dinner was excellent and our waiter was the best. I wanted to stay longer but we were only there for one night.
