Reviews for Gonzo Inn
Review 1:Very quiet and convenient location. Very comfortable bed, linens, and pillows. Good breakfast included. Allowed us to bring our dog. "Industrial chic" decor was interesting and functional. It was nice to have a microwave and mini refrigerator in the room.
Review 2:The recommendation for the Moab brewery. It was AWEFUL. And the " manager" there was surley and arrogant. Avoid at all cost!
Review 3:Location great. Staff helpful, friendly, courteous. Liked the option for Eco- friendly room service. Breakfasts were healthy and tasty.
Review 4:Very clean and modern. Near a lot of little shops and restaurants. Easy access by car. Typical self-serve breakfast room with lots of choices. I saw the dining room staff give guests food items and coffee to take with them for the trip to their next destination. Nice touch. $5 gift certificate to the gift shop if you forego a day's cleaning.
Review 5:Thought the breakfast was the minimum you would expect.
Review 6:Great location off the main street and quiet but within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable overlooking the pool and the king suite was extremely spacious. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Review 7:there could be some information on site how to turn on jacuzzi, or there should be some staff, otherwise it's a bit complicated :)
Review 8:nice pool and jacuzzi, spacious room, good continental breakfast choice
Review 9:Absolutely loved it. Arrived late at night, was a little skeptical of location and the outdoor access but once we were checked in we realized how wrong we were. Fantastic location just off the strip so you're right there for all shops and restaurants but not in the busy-ness of it all. The room was awesome, so much space!!! Pool was great, breakfast was great too! Will recommend and stay again!
Review 10:n/a
Review 11:The accommodations were perfect..décor was fun and quirky, and close to Arches Natl. Pk. We had a nice little secluded outdoor sitting area too. The pool was fun for the kids and the hotel was just across the street from a fab Mexican restaurant!
Review 12:Nothing really
Review 13:The suite was great for a family of four. The swimming pool at night with the colored lights,. The staff. Very quite, away from the main tsreet.
Review 14:Good pool, room comfortable and clean Central for Moab, town is quite lively with good selection of restaurants Breakfast good (the lady looking after the self service breakfast keeps it spotless and well stocked, very good)
Review 15:Just one block off the noisy main street, yet easy walking to shops and restaurants. This is not your cookie cutter national chain. Loved our four night stay, and I would recommend it to anyone. RG
Review 16:we really liked everything. in the evening, the wifi was weak/didn't work.
Review 17:the style, the people, the little porch, the location, and....the STYLE.
Review 18:The room was just "ok," nothing special. The sink was granite and looked attractive but it was so shallow that water splashed on the counter and sat there, getting toiletries soaked.
Review 19:The hotel has a catchy "Gonzo" theme with Gecko lizards as Iton door handles at main entrance. But it wasn't a luxury place for the expense.
Review 20:Wifi was horrible, sometimes it worked, then it would just shut down.
Review 21:Nice yard that we could walk out our back door, with chairs to enjoy the view. Staff wonderful. Nice and comfy bed. Location to lots of activities and restaurants.
Review 22:The air conditioner in the living room/ kitchen area was thunking throughout the night. The sofa bed was a real "squeaker"! None of these were major problems however.
Review 23:Loved the extra space. Uniqueness of the hotel. King size bed was very comfortable. Huge bathroom! :)
Review 24:The room offered to us is in the ground floor next to the parking lot, which can't see the grass in pictures when booking
Review 25:Great location, there's a store right opposite the street Nice poor Reasonable price with breakfast
Review 26:Great place to stay off of the main street. Close enough to good places to eat. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Quirky décor is fun. Very peaceful stay.
Review 27:The air conditioners, as in all hotels, disturbs sleep with its on and off sounds. One of the air conditioners in one of our rooms didn't work, but the staff was very accommodating and moved our children to another room.
Review 28:The room was comfortable and spacious, the service and staff excellent, the amenities more than adequate. We enjoyed the pool, the outdoor area, the breakfast area and the breakfast.
Review 29:The location is central to Moab but was a little annoying at night to drive past so many other hotels to get there.
Review 30:The bed was incredibly comfortable. Slept so great and awoke without any back pain or other aches despite a long day of hiking at Arches.
Review 31:Just a bit pricey. Next time I'd look for something (perhaps not on Booking.com) to extend my vacation budget.
Review 32:Comfy bed and nice pool area. Quirky decor is amusing. Clean and comfortable room. Well and generously stocked breakfast buffet. Fun, quirky decor. Easy walking to restaurants (although choices are somewhat limited).
Review 33:Check in experience was not so welcoming. Young female staff was quite rude and argued with my husband about filling in our car registration number even though it was already done correctly but she insisted that it was not. Not a very good start. Room was kind worn with age. Looks better in the picture.
Review 34:Location was good, walking distance to restaurants and shop. It is located across the street from the State Alchohol store (the only place to buy wine in the State of Utah), so load up before heading to the National Parks. Moab Diner serves comfort food and very delicious shakes, great after a long day of hiking.
Review 35:Paint finish around corridors and exterior was very dark and drab but only a minor point.
Review 36:Great location just off the main street and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Pool was fantastic after a week travelling around Canyonlands. Excellent value for I money.
Review 37:Room had a very noisy air conditioner fan. Luckily, it was not that hot so we turned it completely off during the night. A little overpriced especially the $30 per night pet fee
Review 38:Away from Main Street, quiet location, kind of funky decor
Review 39:Room was a little too close to the ice machine. Someone used it twice in the middle of the night and it awoke us.
Review 40:The beds were awesome...including the sheets, which were 1250 count Egyptian Cotton. For a longer stay it would have been great as we had a very large suite that had a patio and an outside entrance which made It convenient for the car.
Review 41:I didn't get my first choice of room, but we did check in late, around 8pm. The hairdryer in the bathroom caught fire when I turned it on. My husband picked up a new one at the front desk, but they did not seem that concerned. We had to smell burnt wire the rest of the night. The coffee maker was very old, like from the 1980s and made the coffee taste foul. Things just seem old and they were covering it with kitchy decor. It would be acceptable if the price wasn't so high.
Review 42:The location was good. The room was a good size. We enjoyed having a DVD player in the room. The breakfast was appreciated but lacked choices compared to other hotels.
Review 43:Breakfast was nothing to write home about! Bath robes would have been nice No cutlery or microwave dishes or dish soap Noisy. Heard the folks above us
Review 44:The bed was wonderful. Loved the shower in 113. Nice to work out to green space.
Review 45:Nice, pleasant hotel near one of the nation's lesser known national parks. Friendly staff and extremely quiet. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 46:Charming, artsy, clean, spacious, cheerful hotel rooms with great natural light. that will make you smile when you walk in. Wonderful accomodati g staff
Review 47:Having a patio and a big lawn area behind our room. Rooms well decorated, not cooky-cutter. Furniture was "unique", especially liked the metal, artistic headboard and that the bedside lamps did not match.
Review 48:Very comfortable, affordable and scenic in middle of Moab with restaurants within walking distance. We didn't spend much time at the hotel but it was the perfect resting point after days of hiking in Arches and Canyonlands. Nice hot tub and pool for recovery too!
Review 49:I was traveling alone, so in a single room, and there was simply no comfortable place to sit: just two hard, uncomfortable chairs at a small table. (Apparently the hotel has added some better seating in some of the larger rooms.) The bathroom facilities are adequate but very outdated and in need of a total remodel to get up to standard.
Review 50:The Gonzo's location is great, about a block off Main (so it's quiet) and next to a park, but close to good restaurants and other attractions. The bed was very comfortable, and the continental breakfast is far better than most, with even made-to-order espresso. And the staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 51:Breakfast was ok, but very generic, like a Holiday Inn Express. A few"luxury" touches would leave a much better impressions, suchas real yogurt with options of fresh fruits, berries etc instead ofYoplait or whatever it was, better coffee, fresh juices, good jams, etc.
Review 52:Overall good facilities, nice staff, cool atmosphere. Breakfast did notmeet what I'd expect from a boutique hotel, see :(
Review 53:Under staffed, no complimentary breakfast during off season.
Review 54:Everything in town is within walking distance of the hotel, especially the Moab Diner, made for a great location and home base to enjoy Moab.
Review 55:The only complaint is the comfort of the fold out couch. But that is the case no matter where you stay.
Review 56:Close to downtown, cleanliness, room layout! Pool, when weather is warm. Continental Breakfast.
Review 57:If you are looking for a hotel that is not a cookie cutter hotel, then stay here. The property has very comfortable rooms and, if you need a sitting room, they have very nice suite rooms.
Review 58:The place wanted to be really high end but the finishes were cheep and looked almost unfinished. If your gonna get wide screen hd tvs get hd programming.
Review 59:The bed was nice. The location was great.
Review 60:No tub in room or hot tub or pool. Ice machine broken. $30 pet fee. We had two nights booked and left after one. Got a much better room and rate at Holiday Inn Express. $160 a night in Jan. was way too much to pay for what we got.
Review 61:Location.
Review 62:Don't stay in the bottom floor. You can hear those above you walk around. It's very noisy. You hear ever sound above you.
Review 63:Very nice place! Loved the eclectic nature of the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly!
Review 64:Poor attention to detail. Several light bulbs were missing. Uncomfortable bed. Breakfast was atrocious and the coffee was barely colored water.
Review 65:Spacious rooms with a fireplace, good kitchenette and creative decor.
Review 66:Lack of kitchen utensils. Breakfast was a little lame for a hotel in this price range. A few scrambled eggs and some bacon would go a long way.
Review 67:Pool area. Patio spaces.
Review 68:At check-in the clerk made a point of telling me where the pool was. I went out in the morning to find it covered. I was disappointed.
Review 69:The breakfast was excellent. The blackout shades made sleeping in the morning light easy.
Review 70:I consider it somewhat overpriced for what it is and what it offers
Review 71:Location, room space, sleeping comfort, breakfast included, great outdoor amanities
Review 72:Breakfast was pretty simple, all together at big tables. Small kitchen available but no plates nor cutlery. The vending machine was not working. Too expensive for the value.
Review 73:Distance to the NP good. A nice and good Steakhouse nearby. Big room.
Review 74:Super big rooms Great pool and hot tub Superb location in middle Main St - v.slightlyoff Main St but this is a major plus - Main St is BUSY Great relaxed vibe to hotel - nothing stuffy about it Breakfast very casual and entirely self serve Very clean
Review 75:Rooms looked like they haven't been updated for years. Shower large but odd shaped and not tiled.
Review 76:Friendly and helpful staff. It was a good location, on a off street but within walking distance of the main downtown area.
Review 77:Kitchen was not at all stocked. No plates, bowls, utensils, paper towels, etc. for the price I think there should be at least a minimum of utensils and plates, mugs, etcetera. Luckily we had all our camping stuff so it wasn't an issue. Otherwise I would've been very disappointed.
Review 78:Loved the comfortable bed! Even pull out couch was comfy (per the kids). Pool and hot tub were great. Staff were all super friendly! Breakfast was good and filling.
Review 79:Breakfast could use a little more oomph and quality, in-room phone instructions we're buried in a book.
Review 80:Great style, great rooms, great beds - actually, awesome beds. Affordable king room.
Review 81:Carpets in room needed cleaning.
Review 82:Location is great for Canyonlands & Arches parks. Spacious suite with all the amenities. "Funky" decorating theme was fun!
Review 83:Nothing in particular
Review 84:Our one night stay at Gonzo inn was very good. Cute, clean room, goodstaff and good options for breakfast. No complaints, would recommend itto friends.
Review 85:Bookings.com did not provide an opportunity to indicate I wanted AA A discount and the inn couldn't provide it once I got there. I will not use Bookings.com again.
Review 86:High ceilings in rooms Decent continental breakfast Some of the staff was really great (others average) Good checkout time of noon.
Review 87:Room condition was poor for price paid, shower room was awful, toilet did not flush properly, room was located between laundry and a metal staircase (noisy), staff did not react to complaints. Priority was given to a wedding reception being held in breakfast room. Completely overpriced.
Review 88:Location
Review 89:Loved that it was off the main drag, but close to everything we had to walk to. The little details, like 100% cotton blankets, trees surrounding the pool, healthy breakfast options - were all appreciated.
Review 90:Nothing
Review 91:Everything was great, the staff, the decor, a very comfy bed, a nice breakfast in great surroundings. The pool and spa were great. Excellent places to eat within walking distance. We will definitely try to book this hotel again next time we are in Moab
Review 92:A great oasis in the town of Moab, one of the only hotels that is off the main drag, thus quiet. Beautiful landscaping, great pool area, lovely decor in the room, private balcony, cool lobby and breakfast room. I loved being there!
Review 93:The front doors to the lobby have cast bronze lizards attached to them. Nice custom made doors. I'm going Gonzo! It was a fun place. Bring your bathing suit, we didn't. They have a nice pool. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our room had a large walk-in shower, no tub. Be careful, the floor in the shower can get mighty slippery. They also have a nice continental breakfast free for guest. It was off the main drag a few hundred feet, and very quiet. Would stay there again when traveling through. Inexpensive, clean and quiet.
Review 94:Would have preferred 2 beds instead of a King.
Review 95:The outside didn't look like much but the rooms were very comfortable with lovely linens!!! We were able to walk to two dinner spots which was nice. They have a lovely pool which is quiet and peaceful.
Review 96:The bed was a little uncomfortable and felt like it needed to be replaced. We stayed on the ground level and could here everyone around us and above us but I will say at night it was very quiet.
Review 97:Breakfast, pool, location, and the price all made the stay well worth it.
Review 98:Our bed was terrible!!! Please replace the mattress. One side is much lower than the other.
Review 99:Very clean, very nice and accommodating staff, perfect location.
Review 100:Suite looked out on iron fence no view. TV fell out of cupboard on my face, cut bridge of my nose, staff shows no concern or interest, my friend fell over the step of kerb, staff on duty who witnessed did not come to help or inquire after his welfare. Not good customer care or service.
Review 101:excellent location in moab - just a few miles from Arches NP and being one block off the main road makes a positive difference in the quality of sleep; staff was super and breakfast was excellent
Review 102:We were given the choice of whether to use towels for a second day or not. That is, to choose for green or eco or not. We chose to be green. What we didn't know was that that meant no bed-making or cleaning as well. Normally, even if you choose to go green, they make your bed and clean the bathroom. Not so here.
Review 103:Good locatriuon and friendly staff. Useful pool.
Review 104:What impressed us was the uniqueness of the rooms and decor. A lot of attention to detail especially the embroidered lizard bed sheets. Chris the young man at the desk was informative and knowledge about the area. We took many of his suggestions such as the ride over the La Sal mountains and the Light Show River Cruise. Breakfast is the morning was terrific and the mexican restaurant across the street was well priced and great margaritas. We loved our outdoor patio and appreciated the laundry. We will recommend The Gonzo Inn to our friends with pleasure.
Review 105:View with a patio was over looking parking lot and building.
Review 106:Location and room quality were excellent. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect. Plenty of room with a patio. Quiet as it is off Main Street.
Review 107:The wifi was slow. And I wasn't able to get a aaa discount because I didn't see it on the booking.com website. Even without the discount great place for the money
Review 108:The bed was comfortable, the room spacious with a little patio to sit and sip on (and the inn is across the street from a state liquor store bonus?). The staff was there to meet any needs we had.
Review 109:The location, less than a block off Main, was perfect: convenient to shops and restaurants, but off the main drag. Rooms were comfortable, as was the king bed. The property is similar to many middle of the road chain motels, but without so much of that 'feel' due to the unique decor and layout.
Review 110:Internet in 216 was weak.
Review 111:Coffee was always available and hot.
Review 112:The Gonzo is conveniently located close to many of Moab's restaurants. Our room was pet-friendly for our yellow labrador retriever.
Review 113:Everything was good
Review 114:Location near downtown.
Review 115:In town with a very quiet location. Comfortable rooms. Plenty of hot water.
Review 116:Clean, friendly, and value
Review 117:Liked everything.
Review 118:Well located friendly nice breakfast quiet nicely appointed.
Review 119:There wasnt much choice for breakfast
Review 120:large room , swimmingpool, garden and patio, location
Review 121:wifi worked fine in the lobby but I couldn't connect in my room
Review 122:The air conditioner was noisy (but that seems to be the norm)
Review 123:We liked the large bathroom area. The breakfast was enjoyable.
Review 124:Plastic cutlery and plates for breakfast!
Review 125:Excellent facilities Convenient location for centre of Moab Well equipped and clean rooms
