Reviews for The Tiger Hotel

Review 1:Valet service needs a lot of attention and training. A person shouldn't have to wait so long for someone to appear and take their car? Likewise to retrieve it!

Review 2:Loved the front desk staff. The restaurant Glenn's cafe was excellent.

Review 3:The carpet needed a good vacuuming.

Review 4:Love the location. Walked to everything downtown and to the campus. Parking garage across the street was free on weekends but small and hard to find a space.

Review 5:The desk did not have my reservation. There were some very anxious moments before getting that straightened out.

Review 6:The suite was luxurious! It was upgraded from a King room because all the Kings were booked because the booking agent neglected to forward my reservation.

Review 7:No full length mirror in the room

Review 8:I love this hotel. Room was big, comfortable with a great view of the MU campus. Walked to a little brewery 1/2 block away for dinner. I was alone for the stay but lots to do in walking distance. I want to come back for a longer stay.

Review 9:Safe didn't work in room. One of the bath towels had dark stains on it. The street noise carried up at night while trying to sleep. I thought room was a little dusty. Don't waist your money on the cupcake bakery attached to hotel. Cupcakes extremely dry and breakfast on a scale 1-5, I would say 2

Review 10:Location to Mizzou. The size of our executive suite was very spacious. Front desk friendly. Parking $12.00 for 24 hrs.

Review 11:Way over priced for what I got. No breakfast included, no free parking included, they forgot to leave me clean towels once and for several times the key card stopped working for no reason at all.

Review 12:Great location and friendly staff

Review 13:Having to leave the next day!

Review 14:We were celebrating our anniversary and the assistant manager upgraded us to a Jr. Suite with an awesome view of the campus! Everything about the stay was lovely and everyone was very kind!

Review 15:The bath wash had a very masculent smell. Not so good for the ladies.

Review 16:We loved the motorized window blinds and the modern clean room. The bed was comfortable and bathroom had top quality bath linen.

Review 17:This hotel has so much character, but it's also so nice and updated on the interior. The room was amazing, comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly, and there is a great bar and patio right off the hotel. Everywhere you want to be is within walking distance of the hotel and their valet is quick and friendly. I basically want to stay here every time I come back to Columbia.

Review 18:When we checked out... For some unknown reason... Booking.com had addedan extra night the previous night and charged us as a no-show. It is agood thing I checked the receipt. It was very tenuous and uncomfortableto get it changed. The hotel did not know how to deal with this. I hadto insist that it be taken off. It occured to me that I may have todispute the charge through my credit card account? Not a great end toour ten year anniversary. When I got home the reservations clearly saidonly one night! Buyer beware of booking.com!!!

Review 19:We loved the hotel and Glenn's cafe!

Review 20:Only thing I would change is that I hate that all of the electric blinds on the windows work in unison so that you can't have some windows open if any are closed. Small complaint!

Review 21:Friendliest staff of any hotel--many are students and they are very accommodating. Location next to campus and downtown restaurants and shops can't be beat. Lovely old hotel with very modern rooms.

Review 22:very drafty room/cold, no free breakfast, bad parking, workout room disappointing- I would rather stay @ the Columbia Hampton in which has a very comparable room at a lower rate/better parking and free breakfast

Review 23:the room was very clean, staff friendly, bed was super comfy!

Review 24:The original architecture in the lobby including the fabulous original elevator! The valet employees were very professional & polite & did a superb job!

Review 25:No option but valet parking.

Review 26:Stayed here for two nights for my son's graduation from Mizzou. REALLY convenient! Close to campus and lots of dining options. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Review 27:When we checked in we asked about getting ice. We were assured it was no problem, just call room service anytime. We tried from 10:15 to 11:00 at night to get room service on a Saturday. There was no answer.

Review 28:We loved the accommodations and the lovely big bathroom and tub. The view of the city was spectacular.

Review 29:I regret that we stayed just two nights. I wish we knew the quality so we could have stayed longer.

Review 30:I thought I was going to find Winnie The Poo and Tigr... I expected a humble hotel from a little city without taste and I found ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS I ever enjoyed. The perfect bes, room, bathtube, etc. All employees were excelent, the y were chosen for their passion towards their job never their looks. And the restaurant was another wonderful surprise: great chef and sommelier. The Tiger is: a lovely hotel cheaper than a Sheraton and as good as a Ritz Carlton. They have a great system to serve wine by the glass without loosing its essence.

Review 31:Excellent refurbishment! Historic hotel yet everything is brand new and has great lines...
