Reviews for Lake Powell Resort

Review 1:The sheets on the bed were stained. Having particularly asked the staff for a quiet room we had to move twice because of a young families in connecting rooms next door. The restaurant and cafe both closed very early in the afternoon and evening, and bearing in mind the distance from Page ( whilst it is low season) it was virtually a bed only venue. The TV was not working in the room and had to be fixed. Other than the boat tour the hotel staff seemed to know little about what was available to see and do in the local area.

Review 2:The location was great.

Review 3:Nothing, staff great, very clean premises, would recommend to my friends.

Review 4:Great place, everything clean, limited food menu, but prepared with excellent taste. One great place to stay.

Review 5:Rude receptionist Rooms unavailable even after the official check-in time Wifi only in lobby Cold swimming pool, lukewarm jacuzzi Dated buildings

Review 6:View from Lake Powell Swimming pool and jacuzzi Fireplace outdoor

Review 7:Internet access needs to be improved. The resort attracts vacationing professionals who want and need decent internet access in their rooms.

Review 8:Everything was wonderful except internet access

Review 9:My husband and I are beginning our senior years with traveling the USA. While many trips have been fair, nothing prepared us for the inadequate check-in staff, improper and outdated ADA services, and what galled us the most was the ice machine required a room card, but the Main door to the floors was open to anyone, totally unlocked.

Review 10:You have to be aware that the hotel is in a national recreational area, even if you go only for sleeping you have to pay the entry into the area (about 20$ per car). They could refresh a bit the rooms

Review 11:Location, location, location Also, the restaurant is nice

Review 12:No shampoos etc just a standard wall pump which hardly had any shampoo in. You have to pay a fee to actually drive into the resort which was not mentioned on my booking! I have stayed in many hotels in my road trip around USA and I regret this one the most as it was the priciest one, and the had the least to offer apart from the view! Food and drink pricey too. I would stay in page and not waste your money on this over priced hotel We also was woken up by a staff member that had no clue we were in the room asking to review room. This was 8am.

Review 13:View around the hotel Swimming pools nice

Review 14:Too expensive. We paid 320 dollar for a standard room, for 1 night, and that didn't even include breakfast! We had "dinner" at one of the 4 restaurants, at The Grill" it turned to be out a self service, with paper plates and plastic cutlery and a very limited menu. Yes, they brought the food to the table, but we had to go and fetch the plastic cutlery ourselves. They could do more for their guests, at those prices!

Review 15:Location! Directly at Lake Powell.

Review 16:Wifi was poor and only in reception but given location, it's amazing there is wifi at all. Have to book restaurant in advance for dinner which is a pain.

Review 17:Location, location, location! Get a room looking out onto the lake. Checkin and out really pain free.

Review 18:I would have preferred if discounts were available for the rentals and related activities. Wifi was not available in the room but your in the middle of the desert so I thought that was reasonable

Review 19:The location is incredible and the hotel was perfect. I was very nervous after reading many of the other reviews. I had no complaints!

Review 20:The cleaning staff were very inexperienced. They didn't know the difference between decaf and regular coffee. It looked like someone through a glass of water on the mirror and it was never cleaned.

Review 21:The view

Review 22:swimming pool very very small swimming pool water very dirty restaurant close too early wi fi only on the reception

Review 23:the sunset and the sunrise the only one closed to the lake

Review 24:Swimming pools we had an incident at one when somebody threw up in the pool and at the other was somebody let go of a number to

Review 25:Staff were very nice rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable

Review 26:No WiFi and not worth the money I had paid for the room, I should have book somewhere in Page it's self and it would have cost half of what I had paid. You could probably get a better room in town for a lot less.

Review 27:The bar staff were very friendly.

Review 28:Terrible (lighting) atmosphere and food in the restaurants, oldish rooms, mould in showers, broken shower heads, bathtub sized swimmig pools...

Review 29:Location and view

Review 30:It was a very expensive stay for only one night. We went to the main restaurant and were told that they'd seat us even though it was late (9:00). My husband and I typically eat late and like to watch the sunsets before dinner, so we were a little shocked when we might not have been able to eat. The restaurant was still full and it didn't seem like a problem at all once we sat. We visited the hot tub before our dinner and it was a bit packed with a lot of kids splashing around, which wasn't ideal. We also saw a few people jump the fence to get in. We paid a lot of money to stay so this should be better monitored for actual paying guests.

Review 31:The location and views from our rooms were amazing! We loved the private deck and ability to watch the marina both during the day and at night. We loved being able to walk around the resort and use the pools/hot tub.

Review 32:No wifi in the room. The only wifi spot in the resort is by the reception area. The pool was very nice with a great view on the lake, but was rapidly overcrowded.

Review 33:Best location in the Lake Powell area. The view on the lake from building 7 (if you are on the good side of it) is great. We appreciated the balcony. The Latitude 37 restaurant in the resort's marina is a must.

Review 34:None of the power boats/personal water craft were available even though I was told we wouldn't have a problem renting jet skis when I made the reservation. Parking lot was half full andI still couldn't get jet skis!!!

Review 35:Previous persons dirty underwear left in room. Very expensive. Having to pay the national park fee for one nights accommodation. No fresh towels at the poolside: staff not interested in getting them

Review 36:Very comfy bed Great views Shuttle to the marina Nice coffee maker in the room Lovely meal on the marina Reception staff very helpful

Review 37:Old and need major update. They advise you to take a boat tour and you end up in an old boat without any good service, not clean etc... Bedrooms are small and bathroom its old, carpet, curtain have not been change or clean probably since the resort was open. Restaurant is pretending to be an upscale place but they have no idea what good food is.

Review 38:Everything else, very poor facility highly overpriced a real rip off Poor service staff careless dirty rooms bathroom didn't work properly

Review 39:The location is amazing

Review 40:We did not like the tour groups were comingled with the guests at the resort, it made it crowded and most were rude. We also felt unless you had a lake view room, the price was not worth the stay. The food was not worth the price, ate breakfast in town at local restaurant. Free WIFI only in lobby.

Review 41:The lake view room made the experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The canyon tour was worth every penny.

Review 42:Rooms are tired, service is perfunctory and the food was average at best. Extremely overpriced - in any other location you'd expect to pay less than $100 per night for the facilities provided.

Review 43:An unbeatable location.

Review 44:Room was horrible and obscenely overpriced. $329.00 for a double--Should have been 79.95. Supposed to be on water--was not. Will never book hotel room here again.

Review 45:location was great

Review 46:The only "bad" thing is that one of the three rooms had an odd smell.

Review 47:There were five of us and each of us were able to enjoy different parts of the resort. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The best meal was a wonderful , fresh salad with appetizers at the Bar. The breakfast room could not have had a better view, and the waitress was very accommodating. It was also very nice that a shuttle was provided to take us to the nearby floating restaurant for dinner. This location also allowed us easy access to golfing , shopping and Antelope Canyon.

Review 48:There is no wifi in the room, only in the lobby area.

Review 49:Beautiful view of the lake, easy to attend several boat tours. Good beds and rooms are spacy and with good quality.

Review 50:No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Also the alarm clock doesn't work. The front desk is aware of the problem in most rooms. The WiFi is only in the lobby.

Review 51:The area.

Review 52:Purchased sandwiches at the pool and they were stale. Expiration date was that day. Mixup at check-in. Our confirmed reservation was for 2 rooms and they had us for only 1 room. The resort is within the National Park and you have to pay a daily entrance fee for each day that you are at the resort.

Review 53:Location was good and rooms were okay

Review 54:Got there at 2pm to be told couldn't check in until 4pm! Booking.com info said could check in at 3pm. Young man on reception with ridiculous earings was very unhelpful and said we had to wait until 4pm even though my paperwork said differently. When we did get a room it was very noisy, every time people above flushed toilet sounded like ceiling was falling in!

Review 55:No wifi in room, only in lobby (speed was good though). Noisy airco, not temperature controlled (just on or off). TV signal is low quality analog. Would expect breakfast included for this price.

Review 56:The view over Lake Powell, great coffee in the room, coffee bar for quick (and cheap) breakfast near lobby. Hotel is in a national park, that's what the $20 fee is for, it's no toll road!

Review 57:The lobby where you can get free wifi is very small. On a rainy day there was no place to sit inside. May be because it was an extremely busy (Memorial day) weekend? Fortunately the free wifi worked also in our room and not only in the lobby as announced.

Review 58:The location of the hotel is just the place to be in Page. We enjoyed the spectacular and peaceful surrounding very much. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the lake view rooms are a treat indeed if not for a price. The informal restaurant (the Driftwood Lodge) is good value for money. Unfortunately didn't have the chance to check the other one.

Review 59:Very crowded with bus loads of people. Were not able to be seated for dinner 2 nights. We even tried the lounge area. Had to leave the resort and go elsewhere. Also , could not get on the boat tours. Even when we tried to book the day before. They were full. We had to get up at the crack of dawn to rent a boat and they were almost gone. Your facilities need expansion to serve your guests.

Review 60:Beautiful views and area. Loved the balcony to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

Review 61:If you only need a place to sleep, then it's okay, but it is older and desperately needs a makeover. We also got some coffee and lunches from the cafe - the coffee's were great, the sandwiches were okay (a hair in one) and the muffin was not cooked all the way. We did not eat on site again after that experience!

Review 62:The location is great and it has nice views if you are overlooking the marina/lake. Loved the Keurig in the rooms! They even gave us a few extra hot chocolates for the kids and they loved it. We loved the pizza at the grill - so yummy!

Review 63:Lots of tours busses stop there so at times there were a lot of people in the lobby.

Review 64:The rooms had balcony's that overlooked lake Powell and the restaurant was very nice and also had great views of the lake.

Review 65:new items already falling apart. some upgrades done but very poorly. other upgrades to slider and patio need to be done. five star price and 3 star hotel.

Review 66:view

Review 67:The price for what you got was disappointing. They didn't have wifi unless you were in the lobby and breakfast wasn't included. I would have liked to see these things included in their prices-already high.

Review 68:It was a nice hotel, staff was nice, rooms were clean! Liked the restaurants around.

Review 69:6-8 miles to page,

Review 70:the location, it's a lake side hotel with lake view room! restaurant nearby is fabulous! great sunset view of powell lake lovely pool

Review 71:Wi-fi only in the loby. Room equipment is a bit old.

Review 72:Hotel is located right on the lake Powell bank. Open fireplace near the pool in the night was perfect.

Review 73:Staff was too busy to treat me like a guest. When I asked for the best place to eat for supper he directed me to the bar across the way... the food was very poor for the price. The room was not ready at 5 pm, so we had to wait an hour. No apologies, or anything to let us know they were sorry for the inconvenience. Had to wait in line for nearly a half hour to check in the first time and had to get back in line again to see if our room was ready.

Review 74:The view of the lake was amazing. The room was immaculate and appeared to be new. Tiled shower, hammered copper sink. Very nice, but not necessary for a one night stay. We just needed a bed. The grounds around the hotel were very well manicured.

Review 75:$165/night for 2 beds (2ppl), but you really need to book in advance if you want something cheaper in this area.

Review 76:Nice place, but pricey. But, everything is pricey out this way. We ate at one of the restaurants there & our Pimento Cheese Bacon Pretzel Burger was excellent. The sweet potato fries were ok.

Review 77:Wifi inconsistent, Staff member at breakfast upset she had been called in to work on day off. Less than attentive.

Review 78:Situated overlooking marina at Lake Powell. Nice trails from which to appreciate nature. Restaurant and Lounge allowed lovely view of sunset.

Review 79:Difficulty getting WiFi Poor service at breakfast. No elevators!!!!!$

Review 80:The layout of the Resort. The unique and vast beauty of the area! Layout of restaurant and Driftwood Lounge were spectacular!

Review 83:You do have to have a park pass to enter because it is in the National park didn't know that ahead of time. Had booked a lake view room and the one I got wasn't but they changed rooms after I requested because you do pay extra for that.

Review 84:Very pretty, beautiful grounds, large room, great buffet breakfast, expensive that cost $15.00.

Review 85:You have to pay National Park entrance fee on entering the property. Wi-Fi is very weak even at the business center, and not available in the rooms

Review 86:Lake tours start on the resort property

Review 87:The photos on line were deceiving, on line it look new, up to date and worth the money I was paying per night, in reality it was old, bathrooms dirty, noisy, air conditioning loud (had to turn it off), fridge (loud and rattling) had to turn it off, I would not go back or recommend anyone staying there. Plus the room I book four months in advance was not what we got nor was it ready when we arrived.

Review 88:The veiw was lovely from the dinning room.

Review 89:Slow wifi, hidden 15 dollar cost to enter hotel area, very busy/touristic, shower only did sizzling hot or freezing cold.

Review 90:Clean room, nice location

Review 91:Water level was down 102 feet and just barely could see it. Front Desk charged me $89.99 in addition to the amount by Booking.com and then lied at checkout that there was no charges to my card.

Review 92:They had a sign on the swimming pool towels that they must be returned to the room or we'd get fined $50.00. The carpet was worn out and stretched out with bumps throughout. There were no pillows on the bed when we got there. (the maid did bring us some). The bathroom had no counter at all so there was no place for out toiletries bag. Limited place to plug in to charge our computers or cell phones. The toilet broke and my husband had to fix it in the middle of the night. There were holes in the tiles in the shower and on the ceiling in the bedroom, chipped paint on the walls. There were spider webs behind the curtain rod. The coat rack was all bent and the hot tub was broken and full of leaves and debris. They have you recycle, which is great but the bin was way too small to be effective. When we spoke with staff they said they were sorry. It got passed to Brian English who called us and left a message. We have called back several times and he never picks up and we can only leave a message if we want to reserve a room. The website is difficult to find a contact number to discuss our stay. Be warned, you have to pay a National Park fee of $15 to get there.

Review 93:The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet.

Review 94:Breakfast good have been better, and organization is poor (too long wait to be placed...enough if a lot of seats available, bill was not OK...) Wifi is not great. Signal is too low Room was dark (I mean not so many lights) and difficult to find sufficient electricity plugs

Review 95:Location. Absolutely fantastic. The view is awesone Restaurant for dinner was good. Well cooked

Review 96:In my room the shower had was rather old and water pressure too low; WiFi is only available at lobby but has high bandwidth

Review 97:Comfortable room with loggia The impressive surrounding and view Coffee and tea brewer at room

Review 98:see prior and bed was uncomfortable, etc. the place smells bad. worst stay in our 14 day trip! I would have rather stated in a tent.

Review 99:Nothing, we booked a king with a lake view through booking.com. When we arrived we were given 2 Wueens no view. We complained and were given 2 queen with a marina view.

Review 100:Geen wifi in de kamer.

Review 101:Locatie. Neem zeker zicht op de haven! Kamer was top. Ook gezellig qua verlichting. Waarschijnlijk pas gerenoveerd (gebouw 3). Terras. Wereldzicht in het restaurant. Alleen dat al is onbetaalbaar. Lekkere koffie in de kamer.

Review 102:The view from our room was the marina and lake. There are boats to rent, so we spent two hours touring Lake Powell. . .Since there are two thousand miles of shore line, we didn't make a dent in it, but it is spectacular. I love the major recycling project they have going

Review 103:WiFi only in lobby- all else 3-G only. Dim lighting in rooms.

Review 104:A great resort. Easy access to the activities of Lake Powell. Staff full of helpful ideas- happy to make things happen. Privacy available on private balconies or patios. Terrific menus in both casual and formal dining rooms.

Review 105:they hadn't cleaned our room before 2:30PM. We had just gotten back from a long boat ride & didn't want to leave to have our room cleaned, so it didn't get cleaned that day. I would have enjoyed continental breakfast included.

Review 106:Beautiful location & view from the rooms.

Review 107:Wifi in lobby only can be frustrating. The décor is a bit tired and cleaning of the common areas is not brilliant, there was a medical plaster on the staircase behind the café and it stayed there for the full 3 days we were there. However rooms are cleaner although not impeccable.

Review 108:The location is great just metres away from the Lake. No doubt the best location if staying in or around Page. The Staff at reception is very helpful and you can book tours from the Hotel lobby. Very nice bar and very good restaurant.

Review 109:Old hotel with very low ceilings and small rooms. No breakfast (15 per person no discount for children)

Review 110:The location of this hotel is incredible! Lake Powell is stunning and the views can't be beat in the area.

Review 111:Most expensive place we stayed, yet only place with no wifi in room, no breakfast, no microwave, no bathroom cups and on and on. Booked three nights, only stayed one.

Review 112:View

Review 113:The hot tub was very cold. And the pool should've been cleaned every morning.

Review 114:the lake view! Boat tour to Antelope Canyon was great! Make sure you go downstairs to take pictures.

Review 115:First they gave us a queen room after we had booked a king. This was on the second floor which had no lift. We then had to change rooms. The bathroom had no sink as it was in the bedroom as the overall room was fairly small. WiFi only worked around reception area. The hotel did not appear to have heating so it was cold in the restaurant. You couldn't eat in shirt sleeves & relax. More like a camp site with people wearing coats & fleeces. We booked the more formal restaurant & it was terrible. We didn't get bread for 50 minutes & when my steak arrived the meal was only just warm. I sent it back & they reheated it which was not good. I didn't eat that night!

Review 116:The views around the hotel were spectacular. Some of the staff tried very hard to please

Review 117:We were expecting a very scenic resort area. The pictures need to be updated as with the drought the water levels are very low and the rocks do not seem to just rise out of the water as it does in the pictures. The service was "extremely" slow in the restaurant and there was no place else to go nearby. We drove a long way out of the way for what we thought was to be a big resort area. We hoped to do a short boat trip and nothing was available until the morning.

Review 118:The Patio

Review 119:We arrived late and were the last table served at the restaurant. I ordered a steak, medium rare. When it came out it was well done, so I returned it. It came back more to my liking...but I soon realized why it had been overcooked...I was violently ill all night! (with food poisoning)

Review 120:Not high quality food at the restaurant and expensive. Every day at 8 o'clock somebody from the staff knocked the door with the intention to clean the room even the last day that we could leave the room at 11 o'clock.

Review 121:Room clean and location: amazing view on the Lake.

Review 122:Spent way to much time in laundry area, dryers were out of order, andthere were people who were not staying there doing there close, it tookme over two hours to do 2 loads.

Review 123:Clean, nice drive from town. Very nice setup. Would stay again.

Review 124:We specifically called before making a reservation to ask if the pools were open and heated, as the website says year around. We were told, "Yes". One of the two pools was closed, and both the hot tub and the other pool were freezing cold/unusable. Housekeeping comes at 8:00 am sharp-make sure to finish coffee and be ready to leave for the day early.

Review 125:Clean, great location and views, reasonable off season rates, Keurig coffee maker in room, beach, boat rentals, picnic grounds, etc... on site, large balconies, polite staff.

Review 126:Used web site to book. It said there was free Wifi but it was only in the lobby and wasn't available in the room at all. The pool was closed for the season, hot tub was available but water too cold. The sauna was broken. Restaurant was " open " but no one came to serve us, after 5 minutes we left. There was a coffee shop but it was only open 8am-4pm.

Review 127:awesome view

Review 128:Not a really a problem for us, but during off-season, the main dining room and swimming pools are closed. We were there for scenery and easy hiking, so this was not an inconvenience.

Review 129:Secluded location on the shores of Lake Powell, away from other commercial builidings, yet not too far from Page, Utah.

Review 130:We had a lake front view which was wonderful! Off season prices were great and staff was exceptionally friendly. Loved seeing a great sunrise and wished we had been able to stay more than one night. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 131:buying breakfast by item, we were expecting to buy proper breakfast at the restaurant.

Review 132:Its location and the food for dinner at the restaurant was very fair.

Review 133:My wife was not aware of where we were going. We love to hike, tour & see beautiful sights. We love the Boat Tour to Rainbow Bridge, the dam & the many canyons. Can't wait to return.

Review 134:The price was ok because of the low season (nov). But, it is not a good choice if you have to pay 200 usd. This hotel need to be renovated in a more modern style. The restaurant was expensive & the food was not good. The large dining room was not opened. We had to wait a long time (more than one hour & half) to be served.

Review 135:This hotel is located within Glen National Park (that means you have to pay the acess to the Park). This is the only hotel near the lake Powell. Ask a view in front of the lake. Nice & helpful staff at the lobby.

Review 136:Room next door smoking on the balcony

Review 137:Great location, right on the lake. Nice room, balcony. Lots of parking, Driftwood Bar food excellent. Make sure you take a boat tour.

Review 138:the restaurant is too small for whole guest, wait for one hour for dinner.

Review 139:the balcony with big water view, fresh air, warm reception. 15-minutes drive to the horseshoe band and the antelope canyon.

Review 140:According to the front desk staff, we were given incorrect check-in times from Booking.com. Also, the buffet was just so-so considering cost.

Review 141:It was a wonderful experience to be out on the water for tours of the canyons and dam...though improved alternatives to get older guests and young families up and down the hill to the launching area should be considered. The food, and staff at the marina lounge (Latitude 37),were exceptional, and thoroughly enjoyable! We also found the gift shop inventory and staff were great!
