Reviews for The Brunswick Hotel and Tavern

Review 1:No complaints

Review 2:Proximity to Bowdoin, friendliness and helpfulness of waitstaff in dining area, fruit by the elevator, decor of public areas, polar bear photos in our room.

Review 3:The room was a little pricey but understand it was Labor Day weekend. I would stay here again regardless.

Review 4:The location and rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The tavern food was deliciousness the atmosphere pleasant.

Review 5:One of the staff at check-in lacked personality- very flat; Elevator gave me a little motion sickness

Review 6:Very well kept and clean; comfortable; great location; couldn't hear other guests while in room; noon check-out

Review 7:The walls are a bit thin and you can hear the people on either side of you and above. It would be nice if it offered a gym.

Review 8:Very warm and friendly staff. Room was large with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a nice size.

Review 9:Very sparse room, thin walls - could hear everything from adjoining rooms - snores, conversations...

Review 10:Breakfast - simple bacon and toast were superb - not really that easy! Servers were so friendly and efficient. Front desk was very helpful.

Review 11:Room was large but under furnished. Awkwardly so. Should have had a sofa bed with coffee table. Plenty of room but only one chair and one chair with desk. My guest had to sit on my bed.

Review 12:Location and front porch.

Review 13:Very over priced. The room was what you would expect at the Courtyard. I like Courtyard's but would not pay the price that I paid at the Brunswick Hotel for the room. No one to help with bags. Hard to find.

Review 14:Old hotel with charm.

Review 15:Beautiful building, clean and comfortable rooms

Review 16:New but rather Spartan room. Only one comfortable chair

Review 17:Very friendly staff.

Review 18:Nothing negative!

Review 19:Great restaurant and bar!

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:We almost stayed at the Fairfield Inn but we are extremely happy we didn't! Everything was exceptional!!

Review 22:Beautiful hotel and very well kept.

Review 23:The parking does get taken by mid evening.

Review 24:Location was perfect. Very clean accommodations. The tavern was conveniently in the lobby

Review 25:no complaints whatsoever

Review 26:- Great location - Ultra friendly staff - Very clean and well-maintained - Great restaurant & tavern on site

Review 27:Definitely Recommend Very comfortable and clean

Review 28:Sound proofing could be better. You can hear your neighbors a little.

Review 29:The location (next to Bowdoin), the porch to have a drink, the outside terrace (quiet, relaxing).

Review 30:The extra bed for our son was uncomfortable. The dingy looking groutedtile in our bathroom needs bleaching and dirty carpeted hallwaydownstairs needs cleaning.

Review 31:We loved the location relative to the college, the public/lobbyareas, and New England Inn style and decor. The bedding and mattress wasvery comfortable, too.

Review 32:Clean and affordable, loads of space, could see why you would want to stop there in the winter, would be lovely after a day on the slopes, needs tea and coffee in the rooms other than that its great

Review 33:No mini bar or fridge or ice bucket. But they did provide one when asked.

Review 34:Better than expected ! Beautiful accommodations. Room was updated & very clean. Easy location to get in/out and from town to town to explore the area.

Review 35:Some things seemed to be lacking for a high priced hotel. There was nofridge in the room. The coffee maker made one cup. There were no moviesavailable on the tv. The exercise room was in the basement. The frontdesk staff varied a great deal from person to person. While it isadvertised as being convenient to Freeport outlet stores, it really isnot. All in all this hotel is overpriced from what you get.

Review 36:The hotel is located across the street from the college. The lobby istasteful. The restaurant/Pub was ok but not great. The menu wasdiverse. The rooms were fairly well appointed and the beds comfortable.

Review 37:The staff were great. Brooke and Madaline at reception were extremelypleasant, helpful and knowledgable. The room was large, tastefullydecorated, and the bed was so comfortable. Overall, the hotel wasscrupously clean and well presented. We had a great stay here, and wouldlove to returns

Review 38:The front desk was not much help. When checking out I waited for a good four minutes for someone to return to the desk to assist me. When checking in I asked for some recommendations for restaurants and again the staff was not exactly interested in conversation nor helping.

Review 39:The hotel is beautiful and contemporary. The bed, bedding, and pillows were marvelous and I've never found any other hotels that have come close to this comfort. The bartender at the restaurant is fantastic. He was professional, makes amazing martinis, and super friendly.

Review 40:The staff at the front desk weren't attentive in most cases.

Review 41:The location was great. The hotel looks very nice, clean and well maintained.

Review 42:check the hotel bill carefully to avoid to pay in excess

Review 43:Nothing, really....

Review 44:Very stylish and charming, immediately accross from our destination - Bowdoin College. Loved the rocking chairs on the porch!

Review 45:Check in was 4pm .

Review 46:Decor was very classy , yet comfortable . Tavern was very nice great friendly staff and food was very good .

Review 47:there wasn't anything
