Reviews for Hotel Perla del Lago
Review 1:2 of the staff members sat on their arses and didn't do anything, were generally lazy and unhelpful. One guy was really nice though. Hotel doors close at 10pm, so you think you're locked out! They don't tell you this, but there is a sign on the front door in spanish explaining. Have to knock on the back gate to get back in. Wifi was useless, more useless than anywhere i've tried in Peru or Bolivia!
Review 2:Hot showers. Comfy beds.
Review 3:Cold rooms, windows not fitting properly so large gaps for wind to blow through. No quilts on bed very heavy blankets, could barely move.
Review 4:Helpful friendly staff
Review 5:The wifi signal was not that strong within the room; however there was a decent connection in the lobby.
Review 6:The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were clean.
Review 7:No elevator. Wifi functioning but weak signal (better than most other places we tried in the area).
Review 8:Breakfast was very nice. Staff very helpful. Comfortable room. 1 mins walk from main street. Hot water.
Review 9:The hot water took forever to reach the third floor. The wifi was intermittent.
Review 10:Bright, new and clean building, conveniently located. Very nice staff. Simple breakfast to get you started.
Review 11:Breakfast was pretty good and filling plus one guy that worked there was very nice and helpful
Review 12:Rooms are poor! We changed room beacause of mold. To big windows with bad isolation so it was sooo cold! I must asked for everything...please make our beds at morning, please give us new towels and so on...breakfest is also very poor! For the man at frontdesk we are not tourists, just gringos! Staff have not the knowhow to manage a hotel! It is max. a bad hostel! How they can have 3 stars? They bought it? Its a shame! Stay away from this hotel
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Wifi was slow in the downstairs lobby and didn't work upstairs in the rooms. However there was a computer downstairs which you could utilise.
Review 15:Nice clean hotel in the centre of town, so close to both main squares, the bus and also the ferry to Isla del Sol. Beds were comfortable and shower was hot.
Review 16:Breakfast facility was ice-cold in the winter. Hot water was sparse, but ok. Lacked slightly on the maintenance (broken light bulb, loose water faucet.
Review 17:The place is close to everything. Our room was big enough for us to spread out. Large bed.
Review 18:There was a curfew of 10pm for the hotel. Card payment not easily available.

Review 42:We had actually booked in elsewhere and we arrived on Christmas day to find they had lost our booking. We booked Hotel Perla on the internet and 5 minutes later we arrived there to check in.... the reservation hadn't even gone through but the staff were helpful
Review 43:- one of the most expensive accommodations to stay at in Copacabana (maybe that's why it is not so popular) - when I got back from dinner at 10:30 pm the hotel was completely locked and I had to knock on the shutters and shout for 10 minutes until somebody came to let me in
Review 44:+ very quiet (probably because I was about the only guest) + great breakfast + laundry service available
Review 45:Internet didn't work, curfew at 11pm, and quite pricey given the amenities are nothing but standard
Review 46:Room was simple but very clean and neat
Review 47:No Hearing System in the room, you can only come back until 11pm, afterwards there is a curfew.
