Reviews for Inn at Jackson Hole
Review 1:Nobody answered the front desk phone after about 6:30 pm. We triedseveral times in a 3 hour period. We were unaware of this and wonderedabout emergencies. Buffet breakfast featured powdered scrambled eggs.Didn't even know they made them any more and certainly to serve themat these prices was an outrage. Most of the other guests were Asian; didthe hotel think maybe they wouldn't notice and the rest of us couldsuffer. Also, only one very slow toaster fior a dining room full ofpeople. They seems to cater to your groups. We would not returnz
Review 2:Location was good but for summer we'd have preferred to be in town.
Review 3:We did not like that the fire place was out of order and it was one of the amenities offered that made us pick the location over others. Also the walls were paper thin and we could hear the guests in other rooms clearly. The staff was not very helpful and offered only excuses when we told them about our issues. Also the hot tub was out of order. Overall the experience was bad.
Review 4:We really liked that our room was located on an upper floor and had a balcony.
Review 5:booked on another web site not given king size bed (not guaranteed). unpleasant to walk luggage up stairs with open spaces. Midnight guest pounding on our door chose wrong room. then he has front desk clerk call our room to wake us to confirm our reservation, WHY?
Review 6:breakfast, pool and hot tub
Review 7:I had requested a room with a kitchenette but we didn't get one. The front desk said since I booked through Booking.com, the request would have been seen by Booking.com but that the Inn never saw it. There wasn't even a microwave or a mini-fridge which would have been very helpful for a family of 5 staying for four days. Also, every time I tried to get coffee at breakfast, it was empty. They would eventually refill it, but I always had to wait a while.
Review 8:Great location, nice room, hot tub, pool, decent breakfast.
Review 9:The first thing I noticed when i walked in the room was a musty, old cigarette smoke smell. The room was dark and dingy even during the day. There were cob webs in the corner of the ceilings. They charged $10 for a roll away bed on top of the $300 I already spent for this room. I felt like this was way too much money for the quality of the hotel. It has potential, but needs a major overhall and renovation to charge that much.
Review 10:The size of the room was good. Plenty of space. Location was good.
Review 11:After asking for the tv's to be fixed several times it never happened. The living sofa was extremely uncomfortable. The shower was very hard to ajust.
Review 12:The bed was as comfortable as anything we have ever slept in.
Review 13:We paid an inflated price for a motel with a swimming pool for our grandkids and then find out it is closed for repairs for several days. I feel like we should get a partial refund. Also, the AC did not work in our room and when we opened the windows a neighbor was out on his balcony smoking, so we had to close the window. The office staff did get the AC working about 11 p.m., but we continued to have smoke come into our room through the AC.
Review 14:The willingness of your office staff to fix our AC and the breakfast was nice.
Review 15:Originally put us in top floor unit that had crazy spiral staircase to the bed area. We asked for a different room and were accommodated. Room corridors are mostly exterior so subject to prevailing weather.
Review 16:Nice little in-room kitchenette. Adequate included hot breakfast; small breakfast restaurant area was convenient. Whole building could be spruced up a bit, however, and in-room lighting improved.
Review 17:The hot tub was broke...huge bummer after a hard day skiing.
Review 18:Great value for in the Village! Not a lot of frills, but I'm not one to hang out in my hotel room much.
Review 19:service poor - we asked for cutlery as we had only 2 spoons and 2 knives - we were told they had run out and we should go to the local cafe and get plastic ones - not great for a "fully equipped kitchen". Daily clean consisted of changing towels in the bathroom. dirty laundry consistently piled in corridors day and night. new ownership has not improved service.
Review 20:location
Review 21:Lack of Snow removal: Too slippery. I realize JH gets a LOT of snow, but not sure why most of the exposed walkways were not better maintained. FOR THE RECORD this wasn't just @ the INN.
Review 22:Location: 5 mins to Tram Breakfast: The Village Cafe attached to the Inn provided a free breakfast w/waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Parking: Right in front Friendly and accommodating staff.
Review 23:I think we should have been informed that there were no amenities due to you closing shortly. I would have found another place to stay. Directions to Teton Village were poor.
Review 24:Dated. Dirty breakfast room and equipment. Broken juice dispenser. Long wait for food in the bar at night. Chaotic parking. Overpriced.
Review 25:Spacious bedroom.
Review 26:We've stayed more than 50 hotels in USA in last few years unfortunately we have the worst experience in the Breakfast area. Namely, foods / drinks are so messy. Most of the plate and table were NOT clean. The server didnt even dress properly, he used his hand to touch the bread after he cleaned the table which made us feel sick. He even told guest that he went to bed at 3 am last night and rush to work. No wonder. We can't even find any napkin any where. We also asked for refill but he kept us waited for long long. We hardly believe such a lousy service in your hotel. Patrick Li.
Review 27:The room is good and comfortable.
Review 28:place was old. sofa had stains. bathroom had old fixtures. showerhead didn't work properly. stayed 5 nights. gave a list to staff on second morning of things that needed to be fixed. they were very helpful but told me management was " cheap " as to why the place was falling apart. Way overpriced for the value but the Jackson area is that way in general.
Review 29:location on the ski resort was very nice as my son lives and works there.
Review 30:The bedroom was as basic as it could be. The beds were completely broken down and the pillows were just a fraction larger than airline pillows. The hotel towels were also threadbare and well used. The complimentary breakfast buffet was powdered eggs, under cooked potatoes, unrecognizable and over cooked sausage, watered down coffee, and a shortage of silverware. We only stayed two nights, but the total price was just under $500. Certainly not worth the money or my time every again.
Review 31:The scenery and Teton Village were very nice. Fast hook up to WiFi was good as well.
Review 32:The room was dark, very dated, coffee maker didn't work, shower head was really low, i'm only 5'7 and had to bend to get a shower. The breakfast forget it ! dirty, no butter, server sat on his phone the whole time, i'd sack him ! The only thing I eat was a yogurt in a sealed tub. Got a coffee out of reception. I will go back, just not to this place.
Review 33:The place ie; the mountains, the cable car restaurant was great, a must do ! Other hotels and bars made me feel jealous.
Review 34:The housecleaning staff missed our room all together on one day of our stay, the towels were threadbare and past there life expectancy , the " breakfast room " was very dirty-we never ate there! Could not in good conscience recommend this establishment. Over priced for what we received.
Review 35:The location was lovely
Review 36:breakfast was included, and I wish it wasn't. the quality of the breakfast items was poor and they didn't have eggs 2 out of the 4 times we went. The other two times we went else where for a good breakfast.
Review 37:I liked the hospitality and the location of the inn.
Review 38:narrow spiral staircase to loft. no toilet on loft floor, so scary to come down in the dark.
Review 39:three beds, so plenty of sleeping room. top floor room was great for minimal Lots of restaurant choices on property. Lots of activities on property
Review 40:Room was amazing ... two queens with a King in the loft. Definitely good size for a family, 3 adults or 3 friendly couples, Hot tub, heated pool and Sauna. I'll come back in the winter to ski
Review 41:I booked the room because the various websites indicated that the hotel is 4.5 miles from the airport and I had an early flight the next day. While the hotel may be 4.5 miles from the airport as the crow flies, it is not by car. In fact, I would have save 20 minutes if I had stayed in Jackson. Further, breakfast did not start until 7:30, which is an hour later than at any other hotel I stayed in while traveling in Wyoming. As a result of the added time to get to the airport, we could not have breakfast at the hotel. You should make it clear on the listings that you are almost 40 minutes from the airport.
Review 42:I had booked 2 rooms booked and they only had 1 booked. Luckily they found us a room but it was more expensive. They should of given us the price we booked with for the mistake!
Review 43:Room was dirty, especially the bathroom. Carpet had seen better days. Door hardware was only just hanging on to the frame. Decor was poor Shower was poor Bathroom Door looked as if it had been chewed on. Breakfast was madness, 2 staff looking after all the people got the results it deserved!
Review 44:The arm chair in the room was good. 2 TV's in the room Nice bedding
Review 45:Shower water would chill one moment and almost scald the next. Hair dryer did not work and I never could get the wifi to connect on the fourth floor.
Review 46:Location
Review 47:Traveled the United States this trip, and these accomodation cost twice as much as the next most expensive and offered less comfort and fewer amenities. The room was basic, and the furnishings were "well worn." While the place was clean, I have stayed at many places for less than $100/night that were nicer than this $385 room. Even the complimentary breakfast was a fail, as everyone was waiting for food, silverware, glasses, coffee - the poor kid who was trying to keep up didn't stand a chance.
Review 48:Beautiful backdrop against the mountains, staff was friendly, lots of activity with music, fireworks, etc. The Thai restaurant in the village was outstanding!
Review 49:Property was run down outdated dirty and noisy. Laughably expensive at over $330 per night with tax for a Motel 6 quality place. Other reviews on booking.com obviously misleading. Do not stay at this hotel.
Review 50:Front desk staff tried hard to be helpful
Review 51:The facilities are a bit dated and you can hear what is going on in the rooms around you.
Review 52:The location was good and staff very nice.
Review 53:The room was very basic. Buffet breakfast was good but the same every day.
Review 54:Location. Short walk to slopes, restaurants and shops.
Review 55:The property is a bit run down and the breakfast was mediocre.
Review 56:Location was good - an easy drive either into town or out to the park.
Review 57:Tried to call twice left message & got no return call. Breakfast room was dirty.
Review 58:I thought the rate was a bit high, especially since it is the off season
Review 59:The hotel room was in terrible condition. It was also dirty, stained carpet, poorly maintained, bathroom hooks missing for instance.
Review 60:For the size the breakfast room was smallish
Review 61:Great location and places to eat
Review 62:Great place would stay there again.
Review 63:Nice room, Real nice breakfast!
Review 64:Wifi would not connect.
Review 65:Spacious room and comfortable bed.
Review 66:No tv in bedroom
Review 67:Everything else
Review 68:The place where the hotel is situated
Review 69:Lack of late night eateries.
Review 70:Selection of breakfast items.
Review 71:We stayed in one of the cabins and it was delightful! Exactly what we needed after a day of driving.
Review 72:No elevator, 3td floor room, screaming kids in the pool below our room.
Review 73:Wifi
Review 74:Location, staff
Review 75:Problems with room heating system
Review 76:Convenience to lifts and having breakfast included
Review 77:Great location.
Review 78:The WiFi was very slow and unreliable.
Review 79:Hotel was dated and in need of repair. Toilet broke on us and the room was always too hot (even with the AC on all night!)
Review 80:Location was great
Review 81:All listed above.
Review 82:The breakfast was mediocre and the hot tub needed cleaning.
Review 83:Room was comfortable and clean.
Review 84:Near south entrance of Grand Teton NP
Review 85:Tough to find a place to park.
Review 86:Availability of room with loft, so that there could be privacy.
Review 87:Place is worn out. Understaffed in restaurant and breakfast buffet.
Review 88:Location.
Review 89:the parking was very minimal the cleaning staff was very hard to track down.
Review 90:the beautiful view and the location. very friendly people
Review 91:Price. Expected a better room for the money.
Review 92:Room was nice. Breakfast good.
Review 93:Shower: it's pretty complicated to set the right temperature, and if you are more than 5 feet tall... good luck! Restaurant: low quality
Review 94:Stairs to loft were beautiful, but for an older person or someone with injuries it could be scary!
Review 95:Room was big with plenty beds.
Review 96:Parking space
Review 97:Left my towel on top of bed so they could dry out and the maid service ended up taking them . Talked to the manager to get them back and I never did.
Review 98:One afternoon I ordered a sandwich (in the small dining area). Honestly it took 30-45 minutes. Ridiculous for something which doesn't have to be cooked.
Review 99:Location was nice - located at the bottom of the mountain you saw paragliders frequently. Nice complimentary breakfast & coffee in room.
Review 100:Rooms were worn down. Funky screen in the door that was filthy! We came in at night and the front lighting was poor as well as how you entered the building. The whole place just felt tired. The railings were dangerous if you had young children
Review 101:The picture on-line of room looked fine, but what a disappointment for $99 plus tax special. Toilet broken, bed caved in middle and very hard, room not clean, given room behind office-looked like we were entering a maintenance room, tub grout was black with mildew, bathroom fan hanging from ceiling, tv mostly local stations, very old baseboard heat, air conditioning was portable unit in closet, ground level room looked out on busy road, traffic noise during night. This room was dingy and yucky. It is what I would have expected from a cheap $39.99 special on some old highway no one uses anymore. Don't stay here unless your standards are low.
Review 102:Nice soap.
Review 103:Hot tub was closed 4 of the 6 days The breakfast was in a dirty dingy restaurant next door and the staff there was horrid and all the food was always cold. Rooms were old and not very clean
Review 104:They had a hot tub It included breakfast It was cheap
Review 105:Hot water fluctuated greatly in the shower and typically did not last long. No dishwasher (but maid service cleaned dirty dishes). Walls were thin -- room next to us kept us up till 1:30AM laughing and talking one night. Under-staffed breakfast buffet -- had to wait (sometimes over 25 minutes) most mornings for coffee, eggs, etc to be replenished.
Review 106:Large room, comfortable bed with kitchenette and fireplace. Short walk to Tram and Gondola. Kitchenette needed repair (which I ended up doing) but worked great after that. Maid service cleaned the dirty plates and pans (other hotels do not provide this service). Breakfast (eggs, bacon, hasbrowns, waffels, bread, yogurt, coffee and juice) was good except under-staffed.
Review 107:Dark corridor where it was often very difficult to find slot for room key due to light even in daytime on cloudy days. Snow removal on steps could be better
Review 108:Room was fine, functional and clean. Good breakfast, bacon a little undercooked and greasy
Review 109:The staff really wasn't very well educated on the dining choices and availability. We weren't told that we needed a parking pass and are lucky that we didn't get towed. Also they didn't tell us about the locker availability for ski equipment. We found out but never used it. Finally the breakfast was the same every day. Toaster was burned out and never repaired during our stay.
Review 110:Location and the friendly staff. The room was nice enough as I know I was not getting a deluxe room. Bacon while unhealthy was very good.
Review 111:Room had musty smell bathtub didn't work properly -- no plug bedswere not comfortable no fridge in the room old, unattractive, reallyneeds an update to be worthy of the amazing teton setting.
Review 112:Being close to lotoja finish line
Review 113:The hotel was very overpriced and in need of repair and update. The stairway going up to the loft was difficult to climb and hard to carry up luggage. I can't believe someone hasn't been hurt on it. Even the children wouldn't climb up it. The shower had mold in it and the shower kept turning from very hot to ice cold. The swimming pool had dirt in the bottom.
Review 114:Coffee maker didn't work. When we told the staff they said they didn't have any more and to come to the lobby for coffee. Facility was very dated, no refrigerator.
Review 115:Thw mattresses need replaced. Pronto. They are lumpy, old and used farto long for a hotel in this location. The sheets and towels were cleanbut comforters, curtains, and shower curtain hadn't been washed inyears. Over valued conditions. This is a Motel 6 without thecleanliness standard.
Review 116:The location was great
Review 117:First of all we did really not like that the roomdescription promised usbalcony and kitchenette and there was none of it. The room was old, andnot so clean. Not a cosy room, and no view. Bad value for themoney.Unfriendly staff. No breakfast possible to get.
Review 118:Leaving this hotell.
Review 119:My parents could not get a wakeup call all week. They discussed in person with staff each day and were promised a wakeup call the next day. Never happened. They missed sleep worrying about wake up call or no wake up call. Dispicable.
Review 120:Drive to Jackson to buy groceries and to eat at restaurants and out toour river float excursion. I needed to do laundry at about the time 4other people needed to and there were only 3 small washers. One of the 4dryers weren't working and our clothes took forever to dry. Itlooked like someone from the hotel or restaurant was drying a huge loadof stained rags/towels that took up one of the dryers--they shouldnot have been using the facilities in place for the hotel guests.Crowded parking lot. A little pricey, but average for the area.
Review 121:Friendly front desk. Close to the tram that takes you up themountain in Teton Village. Pool was very nice. Quiet. It was neat tosee a ski resort in the summer(we are not skiers). Tons ofhiking/biking trails.
Review 122:The Inn at Jackson Hole is not at Jackson Hole. It is at the Tetons.Only 15 min. Away. The room we had looked out at the electrical panal ofan adjoining hotel. The room was very dark and not clean. So much forthe beautiful mountain views!! There was very little hot water, thehouse phone did not work, the wireless was down as well. Needless tosay, we would never recommend this facility to any of our friends.
Review 123:The water pipes were horrendous, you could hear them through the walls all day. The shower burned us than was freezing cold. Ice machine was broken
Review 124:Air conditioning unit worked good
Review 125:Our room was in a dark spot along the corridor and finding the room card slot in the daytime was challenging with full arms. At nigh the lights illuminated moderately well. Also maintenance staff never came to fix the microwave night light.
Review 126:The deluxe room was perfect for our 5 day stay. The second floor room was easy to navigate too. Access to Grand Teton was superb. The village suited our needs and preferences better than Jackson proper would have. Enjoyed the in room fireplace.
Review 127:The carpet was old and the exterior was in need of some tlc - thesidewalks/exterior steps were in need of replacement and theexterior paint was in need of recoating. The lobby/check-in deskarea could have been much cleaner and the furniture was old and worn.
Review 128:The bathroom was newly remodeled and modern, and clean
Review 129:My room was old, tired and dirty, Huge black spots on the rug. Old dirtybedspreads, broken faucet which allowed water to seep onto the counter, soaking all my toiletries. There was huge black mold around the caulking of the tub, backing but no hook on the bathroom door, a very noisy frre-standing A/C- heating unit and tons of dust underneath the door vents. Finally, the manager (Sally) was to call me on 23-Sep-2004 but, guess what? She did not call. I was terribly disappointed and uncomfortable at the Inn at Jackson Hole and lack of customer service. We needed to carry 3 suitcases up and down 3 flights of stairs. What, if anything, will you do about this? We traveled for 14 days from West Glacier through to eastern Montana, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I thought our worst accomodation was Grant Village in yellowstone until we stayed at your Inn at Jacson Hole. Sad that you take advantage of visitors just because you can. Kind regards, Vanda Zambuto
