Review 1：Did not have the little things that make a 4 star guest house, no milk or creamer in the room, no fridge in the room and no water in the room, just didn't make any effort and breakfast, very average - more 3 star than 4 star....

Review 3：Didnt have a fridge in our room No milk with the tea and coffee supplied in the room Had no power on the Tuesday from 3pm to midnight, one of the hottest days in the Cape. Rooms were as hot as a pizza oven hence slept on the outside furniture at the pool deck, blown transformer, not Belmonte fault however feel a 4 star establishment should have a generator for power outages longer than 2 to 3 hours.

Review 4：Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff made it feel like home away from home. Upmarket, stylish, comfortable, relaxing environment hence one wanted to spend time sitting around the pool, enjoying the views and relaxing.

Review 5：The milk bottle from previous day was not removed. Was hot day and the milk got sour. Although the fridge in the room was switched on, fresh milk for 2nd day had to be collected from main fridge downstairs

Review 9：Absolutely disappointing! Could just as well celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary in our own romantic, luxurious bedroom at home. We’ve paid almost R2000 for a room which has been extremely scantily equipped with NO atmosphere what so ever, No bath and water of the shower was cold. When I’ve made the booking, I clearly mentioned that it was for a romantic weekend getaway for our 28th wedding anniversary. This has been our worst wedding anniversary ever! Other hotels and guest houses have gone out of their way in order to make previous anniversaries an unforgettable experience. We will never ever again make use of Belmonte Guesthouse. NO VALUE FOR MONEY AT ALL!!! We’ve expected much more luxury and attention to detail, of a four-star guesthouse- Belmonte Guesthouse does not even deserve a one single star !!! The breakfast was so boring that we've skipped the next breakfast and had breakfast at Mugg & Bean in the Mall.

Review 23：Our room was very spacious with a large balcony and an excellent view. Everything was done to a very high standard with an excellent breakfast. It was a relaxing place to stay with private parking.

Review 24：The owner is never their, she leaves the place to be run by literally 2 kitchen maids,, though very kind, have no hospitality skills. One bedside lamp wasn't working, she said and I quote the Madame knows. We had to go down to the shops to get decent coffee, their was cheap chicory coffee for a four star, not acceptable. Beautiful place shockingly run.

Review 75：The friendliness and privacy was just enough. The view are spectacular and the rooms are extremely comfortable and luxurious. My favourite thing was the view out of my bathroom window and my fiancee LOVED the spacious shower. We will definitely be back and hopefully for longer.

Review 76：Belmonte is a bit far away from the restaurants and shops. It's quite a walk and you should use a car.

Review 77：The Belmonte Guesthouse is located at the slope of the Paarl Mountain and not so easy to find even using a navigation system. But after we where brought to our room we were really pleased by the astonishing view from the balcony. You overlook Paarl and the surrounding areas and it is really amazing to watch the sun rising in front of you while the city is still wrapped in blackness. Or watching the sunset, when Paarl is going dark but lights going on and all the mountains are illuminated in yellow and red colors. Amazing! The room was very nice furnished, huge and had some modern pictures. The window opened to the astonishing view over Paarl. The breakfast was nothing really special. Cereals, fruits, a warm meal with eggs and bacon and so on. We also want to thank the owner of the Belemonte for the recommendation of the Terra Marre restaurant and the help getting there and back. Because the guest house is located a bit outside the center and you need a car or taxi to get to the restaurants or shops.

As soon as we arrived we knew we'd made a mistake in booking this hotel... for only one night!!! Beautiful, spacious room, tastefully decorated, magnificent view over Paarl and the surrounding mountains - even from the lavish bathtub. Huge bathroom as well. Good breakfast. Warm welcome. You just have to be aware that this hotel is a bit outside of Paarl, and you have to drive up quite a steep narrow road, if only for 400 meters... Well, we'll be back - and next time for more than just one night!
