Reviews for The Alpenhof
Review 1:Outstanding place to stay. The hotel is older, but has so much character and is very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, and will stay at the Alpenhof the next time we visit Jackson.
Review 2:no bad experience .. believed the room was a bit pricey. however its all about location..
Review 3:good quiet restful nights.. in the heart of Teton Village.. fireplace is a plus
Review 4:breakfast - one day they id not have eggs - and i do not eats bread/gluten - so there were no options. but i was able to get breakfast close by. toilet was not working properly, they said they'd work on it.
Review 5:great location and good price
Review 6:No fridge or microwave, especially for the price!
Review 7:I adored my bartender Juan!! He's was the nicest person in the whole place! So friendly and kind!
Review 8:This is a quaint hotel, a little older, but nice. Beds were very comfortable & it was quiet & that was really nice. We didn't eat the breakfast but that was our choice & had nothing to do with the hotel.
Review 9:Beautiful location! Walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. Right next to ski slopes and gondola! I can imagine how beautiful this location would be in the winter! Breakfast was delicious!
Review 10:We had a good booking experience but when we got there they had not honored the room we were supposed to get. We had to argue with the front desk person and get a manager so that we could be put where we had been promised. It was very unpleasant. Room could use some updating, sofa was worn, not enough soap in bathroom.
Review 11:Breakfast was good.
Review 12:The furnishings were OK but not as nice as I would expect at this price. The bathroom had major issues: the toilet was broken, there was an unsightly wall patch above the outlet on the wall, the bathtub spout was separated from the wall, and the bathtub/shower handle was broken and actually cut my thumb.
Review 13:Staff were fantastic and location can't be beat.
Review 14:Poor wifi connection, no breakfast, thin walls (could hear neighbors speaking), 20/25 minutes from Yellowstone Park.
Review 15:Cute Decor, private, beautiful view of lake.
Review 16:The front desk is not that friendly at first. The breakfast included which worth 30 dollars are way too simple. not much too eat. Didn't worth the money. And the food in the dining room was not that good, especially the salmon, really fishy. Even the extra lemon can't cover the fishy taste. The european style room is just simple.
Review 17:My mother likes the style of the hotel.
Review 18:Broken fixtures, bathroom smelled of urine, musty, poor air conditioning, small breakfast selection, dated decor
Review 19:The breakfast items that were available were good, but limited.
Review 20:I wish the bathroom was modernized. It needed grab bars for safety and an updated cabinetry.
Review 21:This hotel was unique in its charm. The facility and the service were personal and catered to our needs. From the delicious homemade cinnamon buns for breakfast to the fondue for dinner the food was very good . The owner took the time to pack a picnic for us for the long ride home! How nice !
Review 22:Great little hotel. The food was amazing at the Alpenrose and you get to join their beer mug club by staying at the hotel. The staff was amazing- very courteous. They even offered to keep the hot tub open late for us since we had run a half marathon earlier that day.
Review 23:too old facility
Review 24:breakfast was great, we paid about 3 times more to stay here as we normally do. expected more upgrades rooms no better than moderate facility.
Review 25:Restaurant wasn't open as the whole site is more geared to winter sports than summer activities. This is a small niggle as there are enough eating places around to satisfy most clients.
Review 26:Loved the location. Very nice room with balcony and coffee making facilities in the room. Good wifi coverage and an excellent breakfast.
Review 27:Nothing - wish I could have stayed longer!
Review 28:This hotel exceeded expectations in terms of comfort and the overall quality of the accommodation. Room was lovely and beautifully finished. Bed linens were very very good. Breakfast was excellent and staff really helpful. No hesitation in recommending it
Review 29:Didn't always get enough creamer for the coffee.
Review 30:Location was excellent next to the aerial tram. Room was pleasant. Meals were good. Bison ribs excellent. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Coffee in room.

Review 32:The entire experience at Alpenhauf was wonderful. Beautiful setting, personable staff, lovely rooms, excellent food in the restaurant. Asmall hotel with a European flare.
Review 33:This is an excellent family run hotel. Everything was classy, clean and comfortable. The room was large and beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had and I travel all over Europe. The Bavarian theme is done to perfection as well as a great rustic feel in the dining rooms. The receptionist, Jen, was super helpful and great to talk to. She should get a raise. The pool and hot tub are modern and nice, and they give you pool towels. This hotel is right next to the chairlift, so very convenient; and our deck was on the side and very quiet. An excellent experience.
Review 34:The lighting in the room was rather dark. The bathroom was bright, though.
Review 35:It felt like we were in Bavaria again! Our room had a fireplace, which we greatly enjoyed. The food was excellent.
Review 36:This was our splurge hotel for our trip so the price would be the only thing from holding us back from staying here in the future.
Review 37:Easy to find in Teton Village. Comfortable beds. Wonderful breakfast and very friendly staff. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Review 38:When we arrived the reception had read my notes needing handicap assessable for my father. Jen the front desk took the time to make sure his needs were meet. The free breakfast was incredible . Location great.
Review 39:Only thing I can say needs improvement is longer braising of the bison short ribs, but the I am a retired chef.
Review 40:The staff were all exceptionally nice, the beds were heaven to sleep in, the breakfast and service was great. We enjoyed our dinners. Best location, quiet at night. The pool is lovely although we didn't have time to use it or the jacuzzi spa they are very new, clean and pretty. Loved this place!
Review 41:Pretty outdated building/rooms. Extremely overpriced, depending on the day. No fridge or microwave included in a room that cost over $300/night.

Felt like a hunting lodge with three big dogs at rest in the foyer. We'll definitely return and recommend to friends looking for a greatcompliment to Jackson outdoor adventures.
Review 45:I forgot the first week of the month of August is SO "pricey!" It was a special treat to stay here but the cost will probably be prohibitive in the future--especially when ski season begins!!!
Review 46:Peter and Mark were the nicest hosts one could possible expect! Our room was extremely quiet; weather was great and we truly loved the opportunity to stay here!
Review 47:Spotty wifi, parts of hotel a tad dated, room blinds don't close all the way, noisy A/C, old elevator, Teton Village is expensive (but nice).
Review 48:pool and hottub area (nice for relaxing after hiking), breakfast, location, different design/ambiance than usual "corporate" hotel, charming bistrot/breakfast area with nice views, parking is very close (and free) to hotel entrance, 1 mi. from Grand Teton entrance, self-serve laundry is only $1wash/$1 dry.
Review 49:Expensive menu & Bar. OLD building that needs serious updating and renovation.
Review 50:Location to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. Very good free breakfast buffet. EVENING desk help very friendly and helpful.
Review 51:Customer service was wonderful at check-in and in the restaurants The hotel employee served as a concierge recommending restaurants, helping us book excursions, and helping with transportation. Jen and Peter went out of their way. Thank you!
Review 52:Post- card sized room with a Delightful view and noise of the Kitchen , glare from its neon lighting and lulling sounds of the extractor operating all night . I asked for a room change but there was " no availabbility " and that was the " best" they could do.
