Reviews for Hotel Deco

Review 1:I liked everything about this hotel.

Review 2:The staff at hotel deco was very nice and friendly. There seemed to always be someone there to help if we needed. The staff was very accommodating.

Review 3:A very pleasant surprise to find this 4 star hotel that lives up to its rating. Staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. Definitely will stay again when in the area!

Review 4:That we had to leave the area early the next day.

Review 5:We enjoyed the Art Deco architectural style of the hotel, with modern upgrades throughout. Shower was amazing!

Review 6:The room could have been a little cleaner. The shower was nice but the door leaks onto the floor. Had a different room last stay that did that same thing.

Review 7:Good location to the Orpheum.

Review 8:if you are in a room on a lower floor(i was at 4th) it's gonna be noisy at night as you'll here the traffic.

Review 9:Location, right in the centre, very close to shopping and restaurants.

Review 10:Thought the staff was amazing, and the beds quite comfortable. Wish there had been a bathtub...? After a long day on the road, a shower just doesn't help me relax.

Review 11:, Staff behavior I arrived at 12:30pm, they told me we can't check you in before 4 o'clock if you don't want to wait you can go to other hotel or you can wait until we find a clean room for you And we will inform you when it ready I waited until 4pm then they asked for a clean room then they checked me in During my waiting they checked in 4 customers All of them came after me The sink wasn't working they try to fix it several times don't work There are insects in the rest room I informed them and no reply I was very busy, otherwise I would not stay in the hotel for extra minute

Review 12:Only the shuttle to the airport

Review 13:Only negative was the street noise and I was on the top floor. Not much open on Sunday morning other than Starbucks.

Review 14:Staff and location were very good.

Review 15:Parking, parking, parking! I hate valet parking and never ever choose to do it. I did not see that valet was the only option at the hotel when I was checking out the hotel website. This situation alone made my visit very difficult since I was trying to get to numerous events and see 3 of my adult children.

Review 16:I loved that after finding out my daughter left two very important pieces of jewelry in the room after we checked out, we didn't have any problem getting them back.

Review 17:There were 2 burned out light bulbs in the room and one in the shower. The shower shelf was broken and left on the floor so there was no place to sit shampoo or soap.

Review 18:Wood floors; luxury shower, comfortable bed, nice sheetd

Review 19:Hallways were very warm. when we checked in we were told valet parking was$20. In the book in the room it said valet parking was free. At checkout I told the person at the desk about valet fee. He said that was an oversight, no offer to take off $20. Also, when we cked in we were told no pets, but in the morning there were 2 dogs in lobby???

Review 20:Location good, nice room

Review 21:Maybe we didn't understand correctly, but we didn't know that breakfast wasn't included. Called down for coffee, an hour later..nothing. Just checked out and went out for coffee and breakfast.

Review 22:The beds were super comfy, great shower and bathroom amenities. AC worked perfectly!

Review 23:The plumbing system is very poor we could not turn the hot water in the shower we were lucky we didn't get a bad burn. The bathroom had only hot water.

Review 24:The staff was very helpful. When we had the hot water problem they did enable us to more rooms. That bathroom did work however the shower floor was very slick .

Review 25:The staff was so friendly and very welcoming! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The rooms were very nice and the showers are awesome! They also have a free shuttle and will take you anywhere within 3 miles!

Review 26:It would take more than 2 or 3 sentences, to explain our short disappointing experience in the hotel. Better maintenance and house keeping of rooms, would of prevented our departure. I am sure we would of enjoyed our stay, if above issues were addressed before we checked into rooms.

Review 27:Hotel Deco is a beautiful hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Review 28:The hotel is old and it the revamp of the hotel was mediocre. It seemed like the group came in and added easy aesthetically pleasing decor, but the quality of the work was not there. The bed was really squeaky, so any move one of us took was heard and woke the other person. Additionally, the room we got seemed to be set up for one person instead of two (one cup of caffeinated coffee, one bathrobe, etc) so that was disappointing.

Review 29:The staff was great - we booked through booking.com and it said free valet. When we arrived, they said it'd be $20 but honored the booking.com offer even though it was not still valid. There was also a great restaurant in the lobby that was easy to get to and delicious.

Review 30:The ceiling collapsed in our bathroom due to a leak. We moved to another room and offered free breakfast but felt more should have been done. The ceiling tiles got all over our tolietries it was a mess.

Review 31:Nice hotel, decorated nice.

Review 32:The AC didn't work in mid summer. Our room was literally 84 degrees. Morning staff was rude and not understanding of our situation and the fact we checked in at 3 am because of a mistake with our other hotel being over booked. We had to wait and were exhausted. We then asked for late check out because of the late arrival. We were then notified for the first time that we'd be charged $50 if we weren't out of the room in 15 minutes. After a hostile conversation with the employee (Will) that was dropped.

Review 33:It was a cooler looking place and the night staff was very nice.

Review 34:Small lobby, minimal amenities. Small sitting area in Std room. No complete black out curtains. No bar service or restaurant in lobby, except breakfast, although Heritage Restaurant next door. Need to promptly address problems... broken ice machine & clogged bar sink.

Review 35:VERY friendly, helpful staff!!! Car/cab not needed, shuttle service provided EVERYWHERE we went. Just a few short blocks to Market District. THE best body shower. Clean, comfortable bedding & mattress. Thick white towels. Hardwood flooring. Suites are spacious. Unique classic old Art Deco building renovated in a very contemporary way. Happily moved us when A/C was problem.

Review 36:The only concern I would have is that water leaked out of the shower making the floor very slippery. Looks like that is an issue due to the corroded base boards.

Review 37:Staff was very friendly and helpful which made our stay in Omaha enjoyable. Hotel room was beautiful.

Review 38:We booked a king suite based off of their pictures in the website. Our room didn't even have a couch for us to get comfortable on, it had 2 dirty, white, contemporary chairs. So we had to watch t.v. in the bedroom. It showed a jacuzzi tub and shower, only had the shower which leaked all over the bathroom floor. When I spoke to the front desk about it, the gentleman blamed the false advertising on booking.com. When in fact, I actually made the decision to stay there based off of their actual website. No where did it say, rooms vary. He then offered to give us breakfast in the morning, but not before telling me they don't usually give out extra accommodations. Needless to say, we did not go to breakfast, and will not be staying there again.

Review 39:The only personable, helpful member of the staff was the doorman.

Review 40:Paid $5 every time to get the rental car in and out of parking, but it is downtown Omaha, so it wasn't too onerous. And the valet guys were all very polite and helpful.

Review 41:Free breakfast. Rain forest shower nozzles.

Review 42:the wall in our bedroom could have used a cleaning, looks like something was sprayed on it.

Review 43:The accomodations were perfect for our weekend, comfortable and nice.

Review 44:housekeeping did not replenish the room coffee amenities and they took the soap that we left on the floor of the shower since there was no holder. did not leave new soap

Review 45:location and restaurant. free parking.

Review 46:House-keeping was excellent but they probably needed Maint. The toilet lid was lose. I tightened it by twisting a dime in the screwdriver slot. An arm on the desk chair had lost the screw and dangled. I stayed on the 7th floor. The hallways on different levels and the carpet is dark, making the risk of falling a liability. Watch your step signs might help

Review 47:Hospitality and location. The shuttle drivers would take me anywhere 24 hours/day and suggest places to eat. I walked to Jocelyn and Old Town for the exercise on a nice sunny day. I liked the breakfast omelets.

Review 48:Due to washing machine issue we weren't able to get into room on time. Kind of put damper on our plans.

Review 49:Staff friendly, good location Because of checking in issues we were given our room at half price. Very nice of hotel.

Review 50:Checked in upgraded room no AC had to mve to a different room. Problems with wi-fi and business center computers were inoperable

Review 51:room layout and location

Review 52:The staff was amazing! We arrived late and my husband and I wanted a glass of wine. The hotel bar was closed, so a staff member went to the store, bought us a bottle and delivered it to our room! There is also a lovely hotel car (Mercedes E class!) that will drive guests around town.

Review 53:There is a bad smell in public spaces and corridors, with old badly stained carpets. The door to my room was not hermetically closing. From the corridor you could see, through spaces around the door, when the light is on in the room. At peak times you could hear the bell of the elevator ring every 10 seconds. As a remedy the staff of the hotel recommended using ear plugs to sleep. During the Berkshire Hathaway conference week-end the price of a king bed room shoots up to 550 USD per night, which is in no way justified from a quality price relationship point of view.

Review 54:It cost $2 for one banana during breakfast.

Review 55:The shower is great. Good water pressure. The free valet parking is a bonus. The hotel Mercedes drove us around a lot for free and were very kind about it. Awesome perk. All staff were kind and helpful. It is a couple block walk to old market area but I don't mind that. Beautiful lobby and historical hotel.

Review 56:I liked the convenience of the valet parking, the availability of good restaurants both in the hotel and within walking distance. I liked having free wi-fi and I liked the workout room. Also appreciated the free shuttle. Most important, though, was the friendliness of the staff. The were very helpful and courteous.

Review 57:Room had some water damage on floor and in bathroom

Review 58:Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice big room Great location within easy walking distance to the Old Market area

Review 59:The room did not meet my expectations. When booking they showed another room and that was what we were expecting. So very disappointed. Did not get to relax like we had planned.

Review 60:We like the decor

Review 61:Front desk staff stuffy and bar staff disrespectful to older teen.

Review 62:Nicely renovated hotel with modern day touches. Bellman and vallet super helpful and friendly.

Review 63:Plumbing issues, had to run the shower, flush the toilet twice just to get the cold water running in the sink. The room was very dark and no easily acessable outlets for electronics.

Review 64:Attractive building, good downtown location

Review 65:Friendly staff! The hotel is intimate and everybody we interacted with was very helpful. We really appreciated the shuttle! The beds were super comfortable and the shower was great.

Review 66:Good experience overall, the shower was great, but needed attention to the tile work in & outside the shower. The fixtures on the wet bar were heavily water stained... The common areas/halls could stand some attention too. Noisy at night being downtown, to be expected though..

Review 67:Loved the variety of suite styles, the Hotel has a Retro feel w/modern updates.. Had a Gr8 time, room felt like a Condo or Studio Apt.

Review 68:Well, handprints still left on the headboard was a nice romantic touch. There was also a crunchy spot on the only rug in the room and marks all over the walls. Every employee reeked of smoke and was wearing some variation of basketball shoes with their uniform. The hallways were unkempt and dirty. The room we stayed in was in a weird alleyway when we paid for top-floor and you could hear every word of each drunk person and their dog arguing in the alley.

Review 69:The idea and style of the hotel. Location and seemingly classy feel.

Review 70:The only slight advice I would have is to have GPS in the transport vehicles. Our driver got a bit lost but nothing too bad.

Review 71:We felt like we were treated like queens. We've never experienced valet parking. So fancy! The rooms were beautiful. The lobby was gorgeous. Thomas spoiled us and was so nice. Conner drove us everywhere we needed. What a great service. The Old Market location was wonderful and we loved the historical aspect. I highly recommend Hotel Deco!

Review 72:The only thing that I noticed was the street noise. Could use better windows????? might cut down on the noise.

Review 73:Great location, clean rooms, (loved the wood floors, they make the room feel much cleaner then typical hotel rooms). Loved the bar area, and the staff was very personable.

Review 74:It took about 2 minutes for the shower and the sink to cool down to be able to use it. The room was kinda of small especially the bathroom.

Review 75:The place was really modern! The bed was really comfortable. The shower was really nice.

Review 76:The hotel needs a bit of a touch-up (i.e. wallpaper peeling, holes in the elevator).

Review 77:The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Review 78:Ear plugs could be helpful if you are on the lower floors and a light sleeper. This will help with street noise.

Review 79:The Hotel shuttle will take you around town and may make it so you don't need a rental car. TJ, our shuttle driver, took us all the way to Council Bluffs to see a movie at the AMC. He rescued our night. Walking distance to the Chop House.

Review 80:Valet in the morning was SUPER busy, but understandable with everyone checking out the morning after Valentine's day. Staff was very courteous and valet was literally running to get the cars out to everyone in as timely a fashion as possible.

Review 81:Free valet waiting for us when we pulled up. Went to a bar a few blocks away and were given free transportation to and from. Pick-up was right on time and was a nice Mercedes car. Felt over the top! Front desk was busy when we checked in, and so they comped us two free drinks at the bar!

Review 82:Lack of dining options is my only "complaint" and it's not even a complain because the restaurant was under construction.

Review 83:I loved that my room was spacious and had a mini fridge. The shower was awesome!!!

Review 84:I had a dirty toilet with used toilet paper in it. A dirty cover and the cover they gave use was a queen size and we had a king size bed. The shower we had didnt have hot water so i had to take a warm shower. And the valet took twenty minutes to get my car ready.

Review 85:Nothing really

Review 86:A Beautiful room and reasonably priced. Loved the health center. Loved the staff who were very helpful and answered all my questions. Loved the free shuttle service to near by areas.

Review 87:Could tell the room was used and abused. Little things like paint was chipped in the room bathroom was not very clean and the shower door would not close properly So water leaked all over the floor. Also it said they had a safe in the room but I could not find it anywhere.

Review 88:Staff was very friendly and accommodating and our favorite part was the shower with all the different heads it had.

Review 89:Door and bottom of corners not well clean in shower/flooded when showering due to poor construction/uncomfortable bed.

Review 90:Valet parking/location/decor

Review 91:Nope..not one negative.

Review 92:The cool design and decor! Major sweet! Customer service went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and genuinely interested in making our quick trip..the best possible.

Review 93:This is an old building and we had plumbing issues in two different rooms. The third room was fine however. The rooms facing 15th St are very noisy with street noise and bar-going revelers on the sidewalk. Not the hotel's fault.

Review 94:All but one of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We'll chalk it up to a bad day for the one staff member. Hotel is a nice walk to the heart of the Old Market. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated.

Review 95:The weather was very cold when we stayed there and the windows were alittle drafty. Our room faced the street and there was a lot of early morning noise so next time I would ask for a room that didn't face the street.

Review 96:This hotel was downtown and very close to everywhere we needed to go. The valet parkers met us as soon as we pulled into the driveway and our bags were brought in promptly. We arrived about an hour early but were able to check in anyway. The front desk staff were very friendly and offered suggestions. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and definitely would stay here again. We also ate there at the hotel and the wait staff were wonderful, could not have asked for any better service. The food was great too.

Review 97:Shower and bathroom sink would only run hot water, i mean HOT WATER. So hot we could not wash or hand or shower period. Major safety issue. Talked with person downstairs, they said "sounds like a Pat issue". Not sure who pat is, but that's where they left it. Other than that issue, great place, great location.

Review 98:great staff, great building

Review 99:The breakfast bar was taken down before 10;00 am on new years day???Why?? All ready to eat, overheard the girl say "she was reallyTIRED" wanted to go home and Sleep""?

Review 100:The extra touch of the Happy New Year party favors was nice!!

Review 101:Since the room was facing a bar across the street it was very noisy late into the night. I would recommend getting a room on the highest floor you can and not facing the bar across the street. A Southern view should be suitable.

Review 102:The room was gorgeous and well decorated, giving it a very modern feel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with lots of selections and resembled the kind of breakfasts you would get in southern Europe, such as Italy. The valet was prompt and friendly and the front desk answered all of our questions. the room also had an excellent view of downtown.

Review 103:Negatives were very loud street life, no breakfast offered, and nothing offered to buy for needed toiletries. We had to run grab supplies for our room

Review 104:The room was comfortable and bed was plush. Loved The walk in shower. Great location to walk to the old market.

Review 105:The hotel is beautiful. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the shuttle service because it was quite chilly that day and there were 7 of us.

Review 106:noplace to put soap, shampoo, or body conditioner in shower - needs something inside shower to set them on; shower floor needs a safety mat or slip resistance floor; limited selection on TV;could not set radio alarm - buzzer only; restaurant food choices limited and pricey

Review 107:layout of the room; full body shower; friendliness of staff at front desk as well as at restaurant

Review 108:I have traveled a lot over the years and you would really expect front desk staff that is trained. They are friendly enough but it is clear that they do not receive adequate training. I only go to this hotel for leisure on the weekend so maybe it is better during the week but who knows. Clearly this is the fault of Management not the front desk staff who seem to try to do the best they can with what they know.

Review 109:The location is nice if you are going to the Orpheum Theatre and it isn't too far from the Old Market area.

Review 110:WiFi was difficult to get in the room and the computer room was extremely hot. The bathroom was missing a hand towel rack and a shower shelf.

Review 111:The minute we pulled up to the door, the staff was so helpful and friendly. We were treated with respect and our needs were met. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was beautiful. The shower relaxing with multiple shower heads and adjustable water pressure. We never heard other guests in other rooms. It is in a great location for walking to Old Market for food, shops, and night life. They also offered a free shuttle to some area locations. Our trip was an excellent experience.

Review 112:My room floor was never cleaned. It was dirty upon checkin with M&Ms in the corner. My fridge had a pizza from a previous stay and other food. The toilet and sink both worked poorly. We had an outlet that didn't work either.

Review 113:They'll style and comfort were nice and modern. But it was form over function.

Review 114:It definitely was not what I expected and was way over priced for what was actually in the room. The pictures that were on the site were quiet deceiving. Will not be staying there again.

Review 115:The Staff was excellent they did everything expected of them and more.

Review 116:best value in downtown Omaha. beautiful hotel in a 100 year old office building

Review 117:Loved the rooms they were beautiful! Loved the location

Review 118:Checking out

Review 119:Awesome location great decor all around tremendously amazing atmosphere. Love it

Review 120:Not having access to my vehicle without having a employee with.

Review 121:Updating is very beautiful and modern.

Review 122:The hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The price was even better

Review 123:Staff was amazing! Very friendly people.

Review 124:The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful, and well groomed

Review 125:Nothing!

Review 126:WOW! A real classic. Warm, friendly staff, who appreciated my humour. They went the extra 'several' miles to make us feel at home.

Review 127:Was charged for complimentary breakfast and didn't care for the parking arrangements.

Review 128:Location

Review 129:The hotel is beautiful. Loved the way it is decorated. The staff was so helpful and friendly.

Review 130:Nothing

Review 131:Friendly staff who went out of their way to please us. A lovely clean hotel with great amenities. The wonderful shuttle service.

Review 132:Water had to be run to get cold water!!!!

Review 133:Rooms were not fully up to standard yet, and in that sense overpriced

Review 134:Good service and great location
