Reviews for Hotel Moab Downtown
Review 1:Had a very minor issue with the electronic card lock but it was solved quickly.
Review 2:Staff was very friendly. We were there in December and they weren't super busy so they upgraded us to a better room. It was fantastic! Totally renovated and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking. The location was great with grocery, gas, and restaurants all close by and only a couple miles from Arches. There was no breakfast but that's totally fine - we knew that ahead of time and it was terrific value for the money. Thanks for a great stay - we will definitely recommend to others.
Review 3:Nothing I didn't like about this location.
Review 4:Very friendly staff, nicely furnished rooms with lots of lights, everything working, and even a k-cup coffee/tea machine that got refilled with extra k-cups the next day! Great central location and breakfast restaurant right next door. Great value price for what you get.
Review 5:No breakfast. They give you a coupon for the pancake haus but it is pretty expensive for what you get. We just went to Denny's instead.
Review 6:It's right in the middle of everything. Very comfortable beds and big room. Great value, we will stay again.
Review 7:We got the luxury king room, and the amenities were just incredible. Keurig coffee machine, super cozy bed linens and pillows, a dual-head shower, high quality bathroom amenities, and a very very comfortable stay. We will stay here anytime we visit Arches Nat'l Park.
Review 8:We were in unit 4106 with a balcony overlooking a stream and bike path. Nice, quiet and overall very pleasant. No onsite breakfast (I'm OK with that) but they issued a $5 discount coupon good at the Breakfast Haus right next door.
Review 9:No breakfast provided and instead a $5 coupon provided for the pancake haus next door. More attention to cleaning is required. Mold was in the bathroom.
Review 10:Rooms are comfortable and location is good.
Review 11:Staff went out of their way to print out travel advisory and map of our alternative routes when I asked about restrictions on travel through the mountains near Vail. Very helpful ! Room was everything weary travelers could hope for.
Review 12:Bathroom had a mildew smell which was unexpected for being newly renovated. No continental breakfast although it is great that they work with the restaurant next door to provide good discount.
Review 13:Rooms were nicely renovated and clean. Check in was quick and easy. Convenient location I downtown Moab. Nice Flat screen tv and good coffee!
Review 14:No free breakfast. They provide $5 discount coupon for the pancake restaurant next to the hotel, but it is only available when we order $10 or more.
Review 15:Convenient for going to Arches National Park and having dinner and breakfast at downtown of Moab.
Review 16:We had loud neighbors that were up all hours of the night and someone near us had a dog that barked non stop.
Review 17:It was a great location, walking distance from shopping and restaurants.
Review 18:I requested a lower level and did not get it. My keys were not programed and had to go back to get them done. No tissue in the box. The light on the clock does not work. The girl at the desk did not know her job and had a line of people waiting. The traffic pattern on the carpet was dirty.
Review 19:We were supposed to have a king size bed. Ended up with 2 queens. Staff made it right with a discount.
Review 20:Very convenient location downtown. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable.
Review 21:The price it very high for what you get and can only be justified by the location.
Review 22:Well-located in the center of Moab. Rooms are pretty standard, no complaints.
Review 23:No free breakfast, but they do give you a $5 coupon for the restaurant next door
Review 24:Perfect location - center of town. Walking distance to several restaurants
Review 25:When we arrived at 1:30 p.m. and were told our room wasn't ready. We made reservations three days in advance. We left and returned at 2:30 p.m. and were told check-in was at 3:00. We sat and waited until 3:00. The manager told us that was their policy.
Review 26:It was quiet, as well as clean.
Review 27:This hotel is clean and convenient to dining places and Arches and provided a coupon for a discount on breakfast at the restaurant adjoining the property.
Review 28:the handicap toilet is to low.
Review 29:location, staff was very helpful. handicap room was spacious. within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.
Review 30:Hotel could use a laundry or provide carry-out laundry service.
Review 31:Staff was very helpful. They went out of there way to correct any problem and answer any question. they're attitude was always upbeat.
Review 32:Felt like we were charged a lot of money. I'm sure the location and market drove that. Kind of like we have a room and your going to pay plenty to stay because we can.
Review 33:Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Very clean. Enjoyed our stay.
Review 34:Bed was hard as a rock. Small pillows. Heater/air conditioning fan bearings we're going out, very loud noises.
Review 35:The deck off the room. The location near the river. Centrally located.
Review 36:Moab seems like a very expensive place for accommodation so you pay a lot for what you get when compared to other US locations. Guest laundry is over the road at another hotel.
Review 37:Great location with downtown and restaurants close by. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 38:As I was checking out, I noticed a sign that said "no bikes in rooms." Get real -- Moab is a biking mecca, that's why we come to your town and spend our money. No way am I leaving my bikes on the back of my car overnight (rule certainly was not published when I made my reservation). No breakfast.
Review 39:Downtown
Review 40:The hotel is a motel that desperately needs upgrading on the exterior, Lobby, and rooms. They gave away our room and had excuses that just didn't make sense. They blamed Booking.com when my other reservations were fine! Thank goodness the Hampton Inn took us in or I don't know what we would have done.
Review 41:Nothing
Review 42:huge bedbugs! but staff Alyce rectified the situation by giving us a full refund for the day that we had to move into the new room (with bedbugs).
Review 43:great location (for arches np and canyonlands)
Review 44:The rooms were older and very dark. Very dim lighting even with all the lights on.
Review 45:The location was great. Right across the street from 2 tour companies. Just walked across when it was time for our tours. Loved the adjacent restaurant for breakfast. Convenient and excellent service and food.
Review 46:We liked that it had free Wi-Fi, a Keurig coffeemaker with a nice selection of coffees, a flat screen TV, a small microwave and refrigerator and even an iron and ironing board. It was clean and modern and a great value. Within walking distance of shopping and restaurants in downtown on the main strip.
Review 47:Room key kept messing up. Had to get 3 keys in 3 days.
Review 48:Great location. Nice rooms. Quiet. Ice machine worked well. Air conditioner kept room nice and cool.
Review 49:The only negative, was a small one. There was a small gap in the bottom corner of the door, where bugs could get in. I had a little beetle in the bathroom. Pretty minor.
Review 50:The amazing deal I got, was super! The room was beautiful! Pancake Hays was delicious, for breakfast!
Review 51:Hair on sheets when we showed up. Asked management for new sheets or different room...they were too busy to change bedding. Would never recommend staying here.
Review 52:absolutely nothing. Very low quality hotel with horrible customer service
Review 53:Nothing. Was a great LOCATION and clean.
Review 54:Traveling from colorado to wyoming. Had to stop at moab and arches. Great price clean updated rooms. Bed was comfortable. Little small for family of 6 but not a real issue since we would be outdoors all day and only come back to sleep. Pool was clean. No continental breakfast but for the price difference I could get a better meal.walking to all the stored in area. Definitely would stay again
Review 55:They didn't know we were staying 2 nights but when I made reservations it was for 2 nights. Saturday we came back to room around 2pm and our beds weren't made nor fresh towels or anything. The coffee maker didn't work. Come to find out, we just didn't know how to do it. Not proper instructions. Room was either to cold or to hot.
Review 56:Personal were very nice and helpful. This is just an ordinary room (Motel 6 type) Very disappointing compared to the pictures on line. NOT worth the price. Location was good.
Review 57:Found cleaning staff in room using bathroom before we had checked out. Room was empty not a big deal but unpleasant.
Review 58:Location couldnt be better. Huge room. Breakfast restaurant next door with discount.
Review 59:Nothing!
Review 60:We had a horrible email problem and free wifi was critical, so that saved our "bacon". A good dinner was to be found at a restaurant within walking distance. The layout of the room and the facilities were lovely and we will certainly book there again when we return.
Review 61:All was well.
Review 62:We stayed going and coming from Colorado - a nice overnight hotel, good updating, good beds, bathroom shower excellent, plenty of towels, good parking and very personable staff.
Review 63:Breakfast next door was awful. The ingredients of the omelette were just pushed into a folded over egg omelette, not cooked into it. As if it was preprepared. Service was slow and uncoordinated. A big let down for a great hotel
Review 64:wifi didn't work at all during our stay
Review 65:Room was very spacious I liked that the pool and spa was available late location was great staff were very nice and helpful!
Review 66:I had stayed at the quality in suites the night before for a lower price and better value down the street. The room was small and the door faced outside. I could people walking around, people cleaning, heard when the neighbors we showering. I expected better value than what I got at the previous hotel. I paid extra for my last night in Utah thinking I would get a better experience but this was not the case. Also doesn't serve breakfast.
Review 67:Beds were clean. Cool double shower heads.
Review 68:The Wi-Fi did not work in one of the rooms we had. The carpet was dirty, the bed was small and uncomfortable. No breakfast included, just a voucher for a nominal amount and just for one of the mornings we were there.
Review 69:Location.
Review 70:Room layout was cramped. Stuffed chair could only fit next to air conditioner. Could not sit in it without freezing. No towel holders for wet towels. Killed a roach crossing the floor on check out day! had it been in my bed? Ugh!
Review 71:Location is great. Happy they had rooms w 2 queens to accommodate Grandma/Grandpa and grand son. Pancake house discount for breakfast was nice. Room was quiet. Could not hear people above us. Nice, clean, pool with hot tub.
Review 72:Beetle in the bed, and what looked like a mouse coming out of the bathroom unit. Got 10 per cent off for a pretty poor night's sleep.
Review 73:Good location near centre of town, and reasonable space.
Review 74:There was no continental breakfast which would have been nice. Although, the hotel does give you a coupon for a nearby breakfast restaurant on the property.
Review 75:We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We also took advantage of our kerieg, fridge and microwave in our room.
Review 76:To call this a "boutique hotel" as mentioned in their ad is a stretch. We stayed in room series 31XX and the beds were awful. We had a maintenance man come by named Martin who was very helpful but these old pillow-tops are unable to be flipped. This was the response originally from the front desk "just flip the mattress ". This was not the response we wanted . We were moved to another room with marginally better mattress .
Review 77:Yes it's in a convient location and it was clean
Review 78:Skip the Pancake House on property and walk across the street to the Moab Diner, they have excellent food and awesome customer service.
Review 79:This hotel is located within walking distance of the entire downtown area. Plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from.
Review 80:Pool needs towels, breakfast would be nice. Overpriced, but I guess all Moab hotels are overpriced!
Review 81:Nice room! Very spacious with comfy beds! The rooms are so much nicer than what you would expect from the property exterior areas!
Review 82:The grassy area had empty beer bottles left on the picnic table for the 2 days we were there. Also you could see the trash around the ground by the dumpster.
Review 83:Great outdoor swimming pool!
Review 84:Right in the middle of town close to lots of stores and restaurants. We stayed in the back and it was nice and quiet. For the price this was a good place to stay. The staff was very nice when we checked in. We normally stay at another hotel, but we will be coming back to The Hotel Moab
Review 85:The WiFi on our end of the building was too weak to reliably use. There is apparently one WiFi transmitter per building. Ours was on opposite end of the building, on a different floor.
Review 86:It was clean & comfortable. The back building by the river was usually quiet.
Review 87:Very limited parking for those trailers full of toys!
Review 88:This was a lovely place to stay-- the times were comfy and the park area was delightful awesome location for walking to main street
Review 89:No breakfast but the Pankcake Haus is next door and is fantastic.
Review 90:Very nice, rooms are much nicer than the pictures - updated bedding and design. Great location!
Review 91:Expected slightly nicer towels for the price charged. This hotel seemed a bit expensive in comparison with others in the area. We did get a better rate for our second night.
Review 92:Room was well-equipped with microwave, fridge, nice television, K-cup coffee machine. Bed was very comfortable and A/C had an "always on" option for the fan which creates a white noise effect that is great for sleeping. Dual shower heads were also awesome! the location is perfect; just about 5 miles from the entrance to Arches National Park, and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops.
Review 93:Request a room on the second floor, parking lot and foot traffic on the first floor made it really noisy. Was overpriced for what we got, but that seems to be the norm in Moab. Wish there had been breakfast or a coupon to the pancake place next door at least.
Review 94:Location was great. Rooms were clean & comfortable.
Review 95:No breakfasts - just a discount at the restaurant next door.
Review 96:We were in the center of town, walkable to restaurants and shops in all directions. Lovely updated fabrics and finishes.
Review 97:No breakfast whatsoever or even a decent set up to get coffee. The lobby was old and not enticing at all. :/
Review 98:We stayed here on our wedding night and were pleased with the room! It was def a nice suprise :) Loved the vanity in the bathroom and how it was all set up! The bed was really comfy too! :)
Review 99:Pricey. The exterior is... tired. Wish the booking came with free breakfast, but they offer a $5 off $10 or more breakfast next door, which was too busy when we stopped. We ended up across the street at Moab Diner - less expensive and great food.
Review 100:We stayed in Bryce Canyon City the night before - same size room, same amenities - but at half the price. Let's face it, most rooms in Moab ARE expensive - so aside from that, Hotel Moab was clean with comfy beds, bright lighting for the vanity/bathroom area and the location was great! Oh, the front desk clerk (sorry I don't remember your name) was friendly and funny.
Review 101:The hotel is on the strip but it is set back so there was no road noise at all. We did not use the pool but it looked nice and was open until 11:00. All Moab Hotels are expensive in the high season, but this one made it worth it.
Review 102:Overpriced in relation to everywhere else in Utah, but so was everywhere else in Moab in the days of my visit
Review 103:Everything worked fine, as needed after long days of trekking. Moab is the only choice close to the beautiful National Parks
Review 104:One of the beds was a bit too soft - may be time to replace that mattress (the other was fine).
Review 105:We appreciated the quick check-in process. We had a strange noise coming from the plumbing during our first night. We alerted the staff and they had it fixed while we were out. Hotel Moab is very centrally located downtown, so that was a bonus. It had one of the best rates in town as well.
Review 106:This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything you want downtown. The breakfast place next door was outstanding. We just used it to sleep and shower and received a great rate, so it was perfect for our needs.
Review 107:Room was clean but dark. There are no views from hotel.
Review 108:Location is nice. Used it as a one night break in our week of camping. Had a room to lock bikes in that was secure. Fridge and microwave in room were nice.
Review 109:We booked on line going out. We stayed again coming back and it cost us twice as much. OUCH!
Review 110:Great location! Close to restaurants. Fridge and Micro in room. Discount on full breakfast menu.
Review 111:I came on a very quick trip, so didn't get to spend much time at the hotel, was just arriving and looking for a place to crash for a night before spending a day at Arches. This place was nice and simple and a great choice, would recommend and stay again.
Review 112:The beds were not very comfortable and the sheets did not fit well. There was only one night table which makes it challenging for a couple for things like water, phones and medicine.
Review 113:The location is unbeatable. The staff is friendly, helpful and simply wonderful. The hot tub was clean and worked well which was extremely welcome at the end of a day of hiking.
Review 114:We stopped at this hotel for a night to break up our 18 hour car ride. Even tho it looks more like a motel from the outside we we're surprisingly satisfied by the room. Fairly spacious, definitely clean, very comfortable beds and quiet.
Review 115:The late-night reception clerk (apparently an exchange student) was inept and poorly trained, and checking in took nearly 30 minutes due to his misunderstanding of my reservation details. He also charged the wrong rate, which then took nearly two weeks to correct.
Review 116:This is a large, comfortable motel in the center of the town Moab, close to Arches National Park.
Review 117:Fitted bottom sheet did not fit bed. Kept coming off the mattress and needed adjustment with every turn in the bed. Keurig Coffee maker is not environmentally friendly. Produces way too much garbage. The paper cups leaked, and we had to ask for more of them every single night. The shower could not maintain a steady temp. The thermostat for AC was not accurate, and so difficult to adjust.
Review 118:Great location. Good staff left us extra Keurig Coffee pods when we asked. The staff were great about letting us reuse towels and sheets.
Review 119:sliding door in bathroom but that is just a personal preference.
Review 120:location, rooms quiet and we were near stairwell, pool and hot tub and kids likes the pancakes next door.
Review 121:Bed very soft and lumpy, decor is very dated and old, holes in towels, bathroom dirty, yellowing sheets, noisy between rooms, stairs under construction or repair
Review 122:Close to downtowm
Review 123:The exterior was a little rough. I was expecting a hotel not a motel. No bathrooms or towels at the pool. Hot tub was small.
Review 124:The interior was updated and comfortable.
Review 125:It took me about hour to get checked in. I got their at 2:20 p.m. and the person behind the desk told me it would be 10-15 minutes and then after 20 minutes told me it would be another 10-15 minutes and I finally got checked in about 3:15. Then I got a call two days later saying my room might have bedbugs and they were coming to check and then move me. I had to pack all of my stuff to move 2 doors down and they didn't help me move. They moved me to a room under the stairs that all I heard all night long is the ice machine and people running up and down the stairs. No continental breakfast. They gave me 3 discount coupons to their restaurant and if I bought something over $10 I would get a discount. You can get breakfast for less than that so I would not have gotten any discount. No small workout room to be able to walk on a treadmill or ride a bike. When I ask about a military or AARP or AAA discount they told me no because I booked online. I feel they should have to at least comp me a room by giving me back one night of my money. $159 per night is rather expensive for the fall time there. I am a Veteran and was there on VFW business. Everytime I leave to go on business and then get back there would be no spot for me to park near my room and had to park in an area on the outside of the hotel.
Review 126:The room was very roomy and had a television, microwave, fridge and blow dryer.
Review 127:The staff were abrupt, never used salutations like "Sir" or "Madam", left us with the impression that any customer interaction was interrupting something far more important... they are obviously in need of significant training in basic professional hosting skills or to be in another profession, entirely.
Review 128:Clean, nicely upgraded
Review 129:The drain in our bathtub did not drain which made for a combo shower/bath experience.
Review 130:The location of the motel is excellent; however, it is also very loud because it is situated right on the main highway through town. There was a regular stream of semi-trailers throughout the day, and the sound of the engines idling early in the morning.
Review 131:Way over priced. Maintenance of the facility was not evident. The outside stairs were rusted, paint trim was flaking and faded, and the facility just looked old. The pool was full of debris and the hot tub just didn't look clean. Very lousy housekeeping. Checking in, the beds looked like they'd been slept in and the trash was never emptied during the three day stay. Would have left early but the penalty for leaving would have been too high.
Review 132:Could walk to the downtown.
Review 133:I didn't like the staff when we first got there, we got there at two and thy said check in was at 3 so we walked around and came back at 3 they said house keeping was running behind schedule and it would be another 15 minutes finally at 415 we got our room keys. We didn't understand because people were walking in without reservations and getting room Keys. There was very poor communication.
Review 134:I liked the location since it was downtown we could drink and walk back to the room or walk downtown and shop. I liked the keuregg made it easy to make coffee
Review 135:The pool was not clean. The ice-machine was not working (one of the staff: "Just try it anyway...maybe the repairman just forgot to remove the no-working-sign"!?)
Review 136:Ramada is situated right in centre of town - remember to try out the Moab Diner just across the street. Best food in town!
Review 137:The room was exceptionally awesome and comfy! Best hotel I've stayed in ever.
