Reviews for The Madison Inn by Riversage
Review 1:Location next to Providence Hospital was great because I attended a seminar there. Also very accessible to South Hill and downtown businesses and shopping.
Review 2:weak breakfast
Review 3:very helpful staff during a city wide power outage. They made people feel welcome. The fair pricing was appreciated in light of some of the other properties raising their rates because they could.
Review 4:I arrived at this hotel at midnight during the power outages. They gave me a discount and still let me stay there because other hotels were booked. They were so kind. They gave me a flashlight and an extra blanket and made sure I woke up on time for the conference I had to go to.
Review 5:Parking was non existent when we arrived so we had to park at the Hospital parking. My Husband had to walk in the scary darkness. The second night we parked down the side hill. BUT IT WAS FREE!
Review 6:Quiet location and FREE PARKING
Review 7:Even though it is located in the "hospital" area it is very quiet and peaceful,,,,,,,,,staff is very pleasant,,,,,,,,,the rooms are large and clean,,,,,,,,,will stay again,,,,,,,
Review 8:The view out of the first floor windows is less than stellar, but better than a parking lot.
Review 9:Great staff, good location, and a nice atmosphere. The room was larger than I expected and quite nice.
Review 10:It's the usual problem in USA: poor waste management for example in the breakfast: plastic forks, knives, spoons, paper or Styrofoam plates, etc. etc. Just imagine how much waste an hotel like this one produces in one year. In fact we have taken with us the forks and knives after the breakfast and used them every day for a couple of weeks in our campgrounds in the Rockies. At least we used them for 2 weeks before throwing them away.
Review 11:Easy to find, not far from highway, very quiet location, very comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Not far from the city centre by car. Recommended.
Review 12:Check-in is normally at 3:00PM, but they let us check-in early. Offered advice about where to go out to eat. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Overall great value! Exceeded my expectations!
Review 13:It was a little hard to find and not much parking. You did have to have a parking pass as well.
Review 14:The he'd was super comfortable! Breakfast was pretty good too.
Review 15:Finding the parking lot was a bit tough due to one way streets, but that's being nitpicky.
Review 16:What a great stay! I recommend this hotel with no reservations.
Review 17:Only down side was the parking. When we returned for the evening there was no where to park. They have a spot for every room, but apparently since they don't charge guests for parking, non-guests take advantage.
Review 18:The room was nice and the bed comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that the room appeared updated since the hotel is older. There was a hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board and iron. Nice additions. And a small coffee maker! A must for me.
Review 19:The bed was hard and squeaky, Shower very slippery and dangerous, carpet not clean, bedding was cheap. So completely overpriced. Breakfast only carbs - some fruit.
Review 20:Late check in - night person helpful
Review 21:Location was a bit hard to find. Breakfast bar had poor quality fruit or wasn't any left at all. Other standard fare for continental breakfast was fine.
Review 22:Hotel was clean and reasonably priced. Nice area, had a residential feel.
Review 23:No milk for coffee or oatmeal. Wife can not drink the fake cream cups, and I like milk on oatmeal. Bad for diabetics. It is all carbs. Have to eat oatmeal out of coffee cups, no bowls. We asked for milk and bowlsm but was told to use fake creamer and coffee cups.
Review 24:I wasn't one of the many folk who were there because of relatives in nearby hospitals but the staff seemed to be so kind & interested in everybody's situation - impressive
Review 25:We had a friend who booked another room on our account bail out 22 hours before because they had the flu. Because we were past the 24 hour limit, we still had to pay for the first night. I understood, but it was only 2 hours late!
Review 26:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Particularly one, who I believe was named Annemarie. I had the flu or food poisoning and when I came back to the hotel to go be sick for the next 6 hours, her smile and friendly greeting really (seriously) made the ordeal a bit cheerier. She even offered some advice on where to get meds. Which was very helpful. Rooms were clean, beds were stable enough for just the two nights we stayed. Definitely not luxury, but I felt clean and comfortable and had no complaints.
Review 27:They overbooked the hotel so we had to wait in the lobby for them to figure it out. They asked if we wanted to cancel any of our rooms that I had booked a year in advance because of their error. Their continental breakfast was not very good.
Review 28:The rooms were clean.
Review 29:Advertise boarding pass printing as a provided service, but only one person (general manager) has access to the computer to do so; unfortunately this person was not available both days that we tried to print. Breakfast is extremely limited (bread products, oatmeal, coffee, juice).
Review 30:Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, quiet. Easy parking. Safe neighborhood. Short walk to downtown (hilly so may not be suitable for those with difficulties).
Review 31:the Madison Inn has its location going for it, its friendly desk staff, quiet atmosphere. The rooms were OK, very clean when i got there, but over my five-day stay, the rooms got a very cursory clean up, one day just the bed was made. The linens definitely need to be upgraded.
Review 32:No good restaurants nearby
Review 33:Perfect to go to the Sacred Heart Hospital
Review 34:Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean.
Review 35:Great location. Clean and stylish room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a bonus!!

Review 38:TV remote was confusing.
Review 39:Breakfast good
Review 40:Quiet area. Pleasant staff. Breakfast area well organized and attractive.Close to I-90 for easy get-away in the morning.
Review 41:Traffic is so difficult getting in Spokane and it was hard to get to the hotel. And no coffee pot. Could hardly believe that
Review 42:The elevator was extremely slow. It was quicker to use the stairs. Inconvenient when caring luggage.
Review 43:The room was very clean and comfortable.
Review 44:Parking wasn't great but still wasn't as bad as we had read about!
Review 45:Price was very reasonable and rooms were clean!

Review 51:great location, very comfortable bed and a great price, nice parking
Review 52:Parking is cramped
Review 53:Very quiet, more like an apartment building than a hotel.
Review 54:Very convenient location to my office as well as downtown and freeway. Quiet and comfortable.
Review 55:staff was great, location was easy, good parking, very quiet and clean, perfect for my needs
Review 56:breakfast very bland, alll white starch , no yogurt or fruit variety.. one orange and a few apples
Review 57:bed was very uncomfortable

Review 63:Staff
Review 64:The mattress but that was going to be changed.
Review 65:It was a good spot to get to many things in the area.
Review 66:Far too pricey for value.
Review 67:Parking was provided for one vehicle only, the other one had to park blocks away at hospital. You should let your prospective customers know this.
Review 68:Only issue was parking lot is not big enough. Had to park on street.
Review 69:The front desk staff and housekeeping.
Review 70:Not enough fruit choice at breakfast.
Review 71:Mattress was terrible. So worn out like sleeping in a hammock.
