Reviews for Millennium Hotel Cincinnati
Review 1:No refrigerator, microwave. No matteress pad on one of the beds night shelf was so tilted couldn't put coffee on it. Blanket had a white stain on it. Sheets didn't fit the bed. Keep coming untucked.20 min.to get hot water for shower. The bed support fell had to get someone to fix it. Knob on bathroom door was broken couldn't lock it if I wanted to. Lamp shade was half shattered. I took pictures.
Review 2:Close to Walgreen's and a pizza restaurant.
Review 3:Someone next door was having a domestic dispute and it really affected my stay there as the shouting went into the night. There was a Bengals game that afternoon (reason for my stay), but it was a bit uncomfortable to be close to.
Review 4:The beds suck. No other way to put it. The double rooms are pretty small for what price you pay. If this hotel was 10 miles from down town I'd struggle to pay $70 for the room.
Review 5:Great location for all the big events. Staff was helpful and very friendly.
Review 6:This hotel was horrible
Review 7:I am requesting a credit mail to me because I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours to check in and I missed my dinner reservation at The Place and I was charged $40.00 because we couldn't make it to our dinner.. Or we can get a free night at the hotel with their best room. The room I reserved I didn't get, not only was the toilet nasty and didn't flush, the bath tub at blood and the sheet also. The room was nasty. And they said they couldn't do anything but change the sheet because they were busy. I had to go to Walgreens and bought bleach to disinfect the tub..
Review 8:New Year's Eve stay, there was over an hour wait to check in. After the festivities went to the hotel restaurant and all they had to serve was wings and tator tots, wings were raw and bloody when I bit into them. Not a very good experience.
Review 9:No room service. Each day at 9:00 o'clock they asked if I wanted the room to be cleaned. It is my understanding that the room should be cleaned, and the guests should not be disturbed. No free parking. The facilities looked old and unclean, the bath was dirty and with stains, the same than the wallpaper. The mattress was not comfortable, and it only had a single blanket to cover up. The windows were very dirty, as well.
Review 10:Location was good.
Review 11:The bath tub and shower was Not up to par, The tv was ok but no channel variety! Wifi was slow. Staff was friendly but not completely professional.
Review 12:The location!
Review 13:The outside noise was really loud. Enough to make it hard to go to sleep at night. We actually checked to see if there was a window open/broken. The carpets were stained and just looked dirty, the sheers at the windows were dirty and the telephone was filthy. Our room door had several chunks out of it. I just felt that for the cost of the rooms, it would be a little cleaner. Also, although this did not affect me, their website should be updated as it states that Wi-Fi costs $7.95 per day, but it's actually free.
Review 14:All of the staff that we encountered were very nice and courteous. The hotel is in an excellent location if you're looking for things to do. The restaurant and bar were clean and quiet.
Review 15:it was disgusting, dirty, broken lights, dirty bathroom, bed. Bathroom fixtures fell off the wall, u can hear ur "neighbors". Smelled like the walking dead was filmed there. Didn't have fitted sheets, the bathtub was falling apart. Not worth the money at all. DONT STAY HERE!!!!
Review 16:It has a bar.
Review 17:Linens very itchy, shower presser very poor and shower head acted were old or had air in line or something.
Review 18:Only staff met was the reception and they were quick and courteous.
Review 19:It was very outdated, bar was bad and no food selection, room ok needed bath room to be updated, charged $ 27 dollars a day to park car what a ripe off
Review 20:Was close to everything downtown
Review 21:There was a continuous blinking green light on the right side of telephone that makes it a nuisance at night while sleeping.
Review 22:Friendliness and professionalism of hotel staff from security to front desk.
Review 23:The fixtures and decor in the rooms have noticeable wear and tear. Room amenities, such as toiletries and coffee were lacking--no conditioner, only shampoo, and coffee pot supplies not stocked.
Review 24:The location is wonderful--we walked to most of our destinations. The rooms are comfortable; the staff courteous and polite. Great value for the money. We will stay here again.
Review 25:NO HOT WATER, JUST WARM. I like to take a steaming hot shower in the morning, what a disappointment.
Review 26:location close to everything within walking distance
Review 27:The hot water did not work. It shook the whole room so we had to takeLuke warm showers. My daughter was ate up by bed bugs. I took her to erto make sure. I called Sunday when we got home when I seen her back. Icalled immediately that night. Someone was suppose to call within 72hours. Never received a call when I spoke with someone. They had norecord I had called Sunday, but coincidentally that room was closed formaintenance. There were pan handlers wondering around in the halls. Iwill never stay here and will spread the word to my gym and surroundinggyms. I spent 200.00 never again.
Review 28:It was very convenient to the convention center for our cheercompetition.
Review 29:Spoke to Manager. The Hotel is going to be renovated this year. It needs a face lift, but was clean and comfortable
Review 30:Great location to Fountain Square and Restaurants
Review 31:Valet service was rude. Head guy threatened to tow my car when I leftthe car there simply to go inside and get my wallet from my wife so Icould pay for parking at garage next door. You NEED to validate parking! Work on your exercise room
Review 32:Other than Valet, staff was kind, helpful and excellent
Review 33:Appears nicer online. Rooms are not soundproof whatsoever. Could hear every conversation in the room next door. Bed was nothing special. Bathrooms need renovated, especially shower.
Review 34:Good location.
Review 35:Bathroom needs complete remodel, but was clean and met our needs. Windows need cleaning on exterior.
Review 36:Bed comfortable, carpet was new and beautiful, ample desk area, comforter was lightweight, but kept us nice and warm. Bistro staff friendly and food was good. Great views of Ohio River, Bengals stadium and downtown.
Review 37:The Front desk was helpful and advised us of a great place to eat. We hit the jackpot because some players were there hanging out too!!!! We walked to the venue and dinner.... Awesome place!
Review 38:We stayed there after the Bengals/Browns game, but wanted to check in around 5:30pm. I called to get details on the parking garage and was told it was full. Shouldn't it be available for guests only, especially during such a big event? Also, the bed pillows smelled as if they hadn't been changed-yuck. Finally, housekeeping came knocking at 8:30am. A bit early in my opinion.
Review 39:N/A
Review 40:Valet parking was overloaded when we arrived. The staff there gave us an alternative parking suggestion which saved us time & money. Very friendly staff! Room was excellent!
Review 41:Bed was too small for a couple used to a king size. After the game in the bar, there were not enough bartenders to service the crowd. It was a circus trying to get a drink.
Review 42:Convenience to Paul Brown Stadium
Review 43:The bed wasn't all that comfortable. Breakfast buffet was $15 so we didn't try it. Parking was extra as well- drives me crazy- add it on to the cost of the hotel please!
Review 44:We got the room to go to the bengals game. It is perfect distance from the stadium. Location/price is the best thing about the hotel. It was clean!
Review 45:Booked 2 rooms and booking.com only reserved 1.. Then after being onhold for 15 minutes, hung up on. Then Chala from London helped me yetMillennium has charged me after booking.com already charged me for 2rooms.. Poorly handled and very unhappy.. I want my credit to myaccount asap!!!
Review 46:The room was very small but it.was clean. Room.725. Being.that it was an end room that might be why it was small.
Review 47:The location was perfect just a couple blocks from the stadium. The room was clean and ned was comfortable.
Review 48:Holes in sheets, stains on sheets and on the floor, outdated and run down bathroom countertop. Would have expected a nicer and cleaner room for the price.
Review 49:The location and convenience.
Review 50:I went out with a group of friends and came back to my hotel room and there was a couple sleeping in our bed. Somehow the front desk mixup rooms I felt violated. My room was very dusty was not clean at all it seems like someone use the toilet prior to me checking in it's smelled musty in the room.
Review 51:There wasn't one thing that I liked about this hotel experience.
Review 52:There was no room service. It was hard to get hostess to seat us on Sunday so we ended up having dinner at the Hilton. The hotel charged me for too many days and now no one at the front desk will discuss the error with me and no one will return my calls.
Review 53:Location was great. Comfortable beds..friendly staff.
Review 54:The hotel itself and the room in which I stayed definitely need upgrades. But, that wouldn't stop me from staying there again.
Review 55:Great value for a downtown stay. Served my purpose perfectly.
Review 56:no counter or ledge in the bathroom to set your toothbrush or toiletries. the only vending machines were in the main lobby for the entire hotel. there is a nightclub/bar across the street with loud music and partying that you could hear in the room (I was on 13th floor!)
Review 57:it was a convenient location for my convention
Review 58:The facility is generally run down and warn out. Furnishings in room looked dirty. Wall paper peeling. The bathroom was in poor repair. We complained about stained bedding and lack of towels, wash clothes, etc., the sheets never got changed. However,we did finally received a rediculous amount of towels. At front desk, staff were too busy chatting it up and joking to help. Finally got their attention and they promised to change sheets. They did refund one night but not worth unchanged dirty linens. We would have rather paid all 3 nights and had clean bedding. Cinci's biggest: far from best!
Review 59:Convenience of downtown location.
Review 60:Ensure all facilities are clean and as you would wish to find them when you stay at a hotel UPDATE important information about $50 a day security deposit which you do get back
Review 61:Love the feeling you get when you walk in. The staff are so friendly. I had an issue which was resolved in a second- shoutout to housekeeping. The 2 FD ladies on Sunday morning were amaze and entertaining given the time it was.
Review 62:There is no free parking. The public garage next to the hotel is $16 a day. Anyone going to the casino would be wise to park there. It is free and grab the shuttle to your hotel. The shuttles run every 15 to 20 minutes.
Review 63:High on the 19th floor, the view was great! The room was cozy and plush. The restaurant downstairs was excellent and very helpful. Staff was wonderful!
Review 64:Rooms were very very dated, almost unacceptable. My room had dirty pillowcases (make-up) which was gross. Bathrooms need a complete overhaul. Housekeeping did not thoroughly clean room the first day (we stayed for two) but management did address my concerns immediately and tried to make things right for us. Also, the gym was full of non-working equipment.
Review 65:Location was perfect for our needs, connected to convention center and located right by Fountain Square. Lobby was beautiful, splendid actually. Staff was friendly.
Review 66:Pillows are too fat. Crink up your neck . Also made my eye puffy some type of reaction $15. Per day for a mini fridge is a little much . Should be in the room in the first place
Review 67:Very friendly staff & helpful with directions etc
Review 68:Blockage in the bath tub and one of our pillows a bit dirty, otherwise all else was great.
Review 69:Super fast checkin and checkout! Comfortable bed, price and location.
Review 70:The room was not fit for a Motel 6. The sink faucet was detached from the sink itself, the shower head was a makeshift from some tape and plastic parts. This hotel needs a serious makeover.
Review 71:I enjoyed the location of downtown Cincinnati.
Review 72:Gave our reserved rooms with confirmation numbers and prepaid with credit cards away before we were able to arrive. Had to argue and fight to get rooms for the night.
Review 73:One bed was in bad shape and restaurant and lounge were understaffed and outdated.
Review 74:rooms were updated. Location was great and common areas were clean and updated
Review 75:Nothing bad about the hotel just that business around town closed at 5.
Review 76:My stay was great. Tasha at the service went over and beyond to help with what could have been a disaster for my family. I booked online and it gave me one ved instead of two. Everyone was very nice from valet parking to the to the gentleman who help with our luggage. Upon checking out Lacey and Christine.
Review 77:Obnoxious guy in the bar Sunday night yelling the F-bomb several times with children present and the bar mgr did nothing about it. The guy ran us and several others off. The facility itself needs a thorough cleaning and update.
Review 78:Close to Paul Brown stadium
Review 79:Room was dirty, room smelled, room was tiny. We got the delux room and I laughed when we opened the door. The toilet would not flush, I called the front desk they was very rude finialy a maintance guy came up plunged the toilet and sprayed Lysol for the stench. 3 hours later the toliet over flowed again. We ended up sleeping in are truck in the parking garage.
Review 80:The location was great. The bar in the lobby was really good.
Review 81:The hotel could use a renovation, but then again the amount they would need to renovate such a huge hotel would cause the price to increase a lot.
Review 82:The staff was really nice and the location was amazing. The hotel is within walking distance of nice shops and restaurants.
Review 83:It was pricey. Then customers were also required to pay for parking, wifi and breakfast. All things included in the average hotel fee.
Review 84:The hotel was very nice and clean.
Review 85:I had booked a room with a queen bed but when I checked into the room, there was a twin bed. I went back downstairs to advise the lobby staff but they said they were sold out and that is all they had. I should have received a credit towards my bill. It was quite honestly the least comfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on.
Review 86:Like the location of the hotel in downtown area.
Review 87:Booking.com adding hidden taxes onto the bill. The total should be shown under "total", not the price without taxes! Pool could be cleaner.
Review 88:Great location, easy walking distance from everywhere in downtown.
Review 89:The personnel was not helpful, gave obviously incorrect information!!!! Through the hole between the door and the floor one could hear and see other people. The towels were not clean, there were hairs in the bath.
Review 90:The location was perfect. Nice swimming pool and lobby to meet up with friends and relax.
Review 91:The vending machines on the floors were horrible and had second rate choices. There was no view, even though I paid for an upgraded room. The lack of amenities in the room were appalling; and the staff was unresponsive
Review 92:The room was clean and neat, and the lobby looked great
Review 93:$27/night for parking??? Nope. We parked across the street. Hotel is showing it's age and getting a bit shabby.
Review 94:The location is great. Close to many restaurants, bars, etc. One of the bellhops, Johnny, deserves a medal. He helped my husband with getting our car out of the garage across the street. Way above and beyond.
Review 95:Room was not cleaned well (coffee still in the coffee maker and a Qtip on the floor). Bath tub would not drain and it took some time before maintenance arrived. They removed a hair ball from the drain but it still struggled to drain. Toilet would not shut off.
Review 96:Most of the staff seemed very nice. The lady at the desk when we checked out seemed somewhat disengaged with her job and was not overly interested to hear the issues we experienced with the bathroom..
Review 97:I did not like that we were staying at the hotel, and still had to pay for parking. I was not really thrilled with the condition of our room. There were stains on the bed spreads, there was no comforter on the bed just sheets. There were holes in the walls. We didn't have any toothpaste. The hotel windows did not open. We had to call the janitor because our room door would not stay shut. The guy at the front desk took forever checking us in. Nobody asked to help us with our luggage. The distance from the room to walk to the parking lot.
Review 98:I liked that the hotel was close to a lot of fun things to do. The hotel was nice and pretty on the outside.
Review 99:Comforter and sheets had "questionable" stains on them and due to high occupancy of the weekend, it took several hours for us to receive new bedding.
Review 100:Location was great for everything we were in town for....Comic Con, Octoberfest, and Begals game. We were given a late check out already and when our flight was delayed, two front desk ladies really helped us out by letting us stay in our same room until we left for the airport. This was especially generous since my wife was nursing and it provided us privacy. The two front desk girls were awesome!
Review 101:It is really dated ... they have not done any recent updates to the lobby or the rooms we were in - south tower. But it was $100 a night cheaper than Hyatt which is directly across the street. Definitely not a high end hotel as far as finishes. It was relatively clean but everything was so old it looked dirty.
Review 102:Out door pool is fantastic ... 90 deg!! it was end of September but it was beautiful so they kept it open. Location is fantastic - we went to Bengals game and it's about a 5 minute walk to the stadium.
Review 103:the check-out staff was lazy and unattentive. only 2 of the 5 people at the counter would help guest check-out
Review 104:The check-in staff and evening doormen were fantastic.
Review 105:Temperamental door locks, very loud air conditioner unit, otherwise nothing wrong
Review 106:Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable beds, easy express checkout. Well situated for downtown Cincinnati and the Convention Centre.
Review 107:WIFI sucked awful on south tower. No service at all. Check in times were late and we had to take a smaller room in order to check in for the bengals game.
Review 108:Location
Review 109:Valet parking was completely full when I arrived at 5pm....DISLIKED this & especially that I am disabled & had reservations! Had to park in a parking garage 1 block away.
Review 110:Bed very comfortable. Quiet part of hall where room was located, didn't hear people in halls.
Review 111:One of our two rooms was not cleaned for our second day. No new towels, beds not made., trash not emptied. This could have been an oversight, but it was still unacceptable.
Review 112:Great location! I was impressed with the common areas. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 113:The hotel staff was overall very rude. The rooms were dirty. Stains on carpet. Towels had stains. Shower didn't work. One of the beds was squeaky and woke everyone up all night. Tried to eat in the hotel restaurant and the waitstaff was both rude and clueless. No one helped us so we left. Will not stay here EVER again.
Review 114:The location was great. There was a nice outdoor beer fest down the street we were able to walk to and easy access to nightlife.
Review 115:The shower/tub was disgusting ! filthy ! moldy ! carpets were nasty thru out !!! windows were dirty
Review 116:the location was perfect= we were able to explore the city
Review 117:There was no continental breakfast and the manager who checked us in didn't know of a restaurant to recommend for vegetarians (because he's unfamiliar with the area?!), and instead of offering to call up to our room after he "looked it up on the Internet" he said we could come back down and "find" him. This lobby was huge...No way was I going to walk around looking for a guy when we can do Internet research on our own.
Review 118:The bed was comfortable and the workout room was nice. Some of the staff were great and should get big smiles: the nice fellow who pointed out which elevator to use (since the guy mentioned in what we didn't like didn't tell us when he gave us our key card), the fellow who directed us to the workout room was nice, and the valets were lovely.
Review 119:Rooms are in need of a renovation, bathroom door would not close, shower tile was cracked and aged, not worth the money paid, room descriptions are misleading
Review 120:Location, everything other than the rooms was nice
Review 121:When we got to our room between the beds was really wet, we only had one decaf coffee no cups and 2 lids no packets with the creamer an stuff. Called front desk and we had everything we needed when we got back to our room, so the service was good and the carpet was dry. I will be back I always stay when I come to town , have never been treated poorly.
Review 122:I really like the location an the staff has always treated me right.
Review 123:Very disappointed with our room on this occasion - small & with only one armchair (not the size shown on the website). Bedside lamp not working, broken lamshade, poor water drainage in bathroom. Check in took 30 minutes due to large groups arriving for Baseball game.
Review 124:Friendly staff. Facility to use Business Centre to check in for flights & print boarding passes. Proximity to downtown Cincinnati sights. Bell Station looked after our luggage after we had checked out for a few hours.
Review 125:Nothing bad on this occasion - booked a later visit which turned out to be a bit disappointing!
Review 126:Friendly & helpful staff - Lacey on Reception was very helpful with regard to a missing piece of airline luggage. Other staff cheerful & welcoming. Comfortable & good-sized room. Location for sightseeing in downtown Cincinnati was excellent. The room in the North Tower had a wonderful view.
Review 127:Took 45 minutes to check in. Only had two people at the desk. Wassupposed to be in south tower but got in north tower. The beds are likelaying on egg crate foam on top of plywood. I sleep with a cpap machineand to get to an outlet beside the bed I had to try to crawl under thebed to plug in the receptacle. It didn't work
Review 128:Leaving
Review 129:The hotel is dirty, stinks our breakfast was very cold, no room service, the shower head had no water pressure, no shampoo in rooms, ice machine was broken had to go 2 floors down to get ice, We have stayed in this hotel 3 to 4 times a year. We will not be returning it gets worse with every stay.
Review 130:location and our view
Review 131:Large group of guest were very loud and rude while at the pool. Made it very unpleasant. Also upon arrival and departure, your reservation counter staffed appeared lazy as we stood in line while 4 of them where at the desk but only one was helping people none were very friendly at all.
Review 132:Pool was nice.
Review 133:The room was very small and the carpet and furniture was really stained and looked dirty. During our stay the outside temperature was in the 90s and we were on the top floor. The air conditioning was hardly able to keep up.
Review 134:I liked the proximity of the hotels location to our destination.
Review 135:Mold in shower A/c didn't work very well Tried calling 3x to get more pillows no one answered and they charged me $1.50 for each housekeeping call
Review 136:There were so many problems, I'm going to go with bullet points, and I'm only going to hit most of the issues. -Check in took over 45 mins, and while 80+ people were waiting to check in, a manager came by and told us to move "our line" over against the wall, and then, instead of helping the TWO check in agents, he walked away. The photo attached is of the line, about halfway down (there were 50 people behind that pic) -The room smelled like an ashtray... and I smoke -The entire 17th floor smelled like rotten fruit and garbage (but we weren't going to wait another 45 mins to speak with the front desk and get a new room) -The AC is a window unit without a "fan-on" feature, so it went from dead silent to on and full blast, all night long (try sleeping with a leaf blower kicking off and on all night) -No pens, conditioner, lotion, or even creamer/sugar/stir sticks in the room (there was a coffee maker with coffee, and 1 bar of soap, and 1 thing of shampoo -The hotel looks like it is constantly in a state of being 40% renovated. Temporary ac units everywhere, drywall and ladders everywhere, paint still peeling in the rooms, but new wallpaper in areas
Review 137:The hotel is in need of upgrades and renovations. Stains on the carpet. Letters are missing on the main sign on the side of the building. We noticed a beer can on the table near the elevators that stayed there for the 3 full days. It just made it seem like the hotel is not cleaned as well as it should be. The elevator is extremely hot, stuffy and smelly. We requested a non-smoking room and was given a room that stunk of smoke. They did give us a new room, but it was inconvenient. We requested towels one morning and it took 1 hour for us to receive them. Overall the hotel looks run down. Also house keeping did not have the bed made up when we got back.
Review 138:The wifi worked perfectly the whole time. This was important because I had work to do. The bed was relatively comfortable.
Review 139:We stay in the south tower very small room bed uncomfortable like sleeping on a cot. we stayed in the north tower in June it was fabulous
Review 140:THE LOCATION AND VALUE ARE GREAT.
Review 141:Room was not very clean. Hair in shower, shower and faucet leaked and dripped all night. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. There was hair in the sheets.
Review 142:Location was great and so was price for a downtown hotel
