Reviews for Campus Inn Missoula
Review 1:Pool and Hot tub were not attached to our part of the hotel and have no changing rooms. Since we didn't want to run through the parking lot wet in the winter, we didn't get to use.
Review 2:Price! Beds were comfy, in house Gyro restaurant was superb.
Review 3:2 of the ligh fixtures did not work upon check in never was told about the breakfast what time it started and ong the train make sure you get a room away from the tracks
Review 4:Very clean rooms, breakfast was good easy access to frwy
Review 5:The coffee maker had corn and greasy residue in the water reservoir. I told the morning desk person and she said housekeeping would take care of it. They didn't. I told the afternoon desk person, as they were a new hire she said that another staff member could take care of it that evening. When he arrived, he took the coffee maker and said he would clean it. It looked clean when I received it, but the next morning when I filled up the reservoir there was still a greasy residue that came to the surface of the water. At this point I rinsed the reservoir out myself several times and eventually made coffee.
Review 6:You get what you pay for! Noisy, night manager decided to turn on verynoisy vacuum at 10pm! Neighbors in and out of room with door slamsthroughout the night!
Review 7:Location, low rate
Review 8:Walls were a bit thin, could hear the neighbors.
Review 9:The gentlemen at the front desk was excellent. The hotel has been updated, and they have done a good job for the bones of the building. Went down for a football game and was a fun atmosphere.
Review 10:The room was not very clean. I honestly think there was bed bugs there....woke up with some strange bites.
Review 11:It was close to campus for the football game.
Review 12:This is a convenient hotel to the highway. I don't think there is anything of interest nearby.
Review 13:Staff was super friendly. Hotel is entirely non-smoking which we love. They are very pet friendly.
Review 14:Their computer could not find our reservation. Another room was located but I am not sure it was at the same price we booked.
Review 15:Staff was excellent in finding us another room! The location was perfect for the event we came to attend!
Review 16:The pool was too cold to swim in. The 2nd floor windows did not have screens so I couldn't open the window because we were afraid the toddler would fall out. There wasn't any warm water to shower in the morning so I tried to call the desk but the phone was broken so I walked downstairs. The manager asked the laundry attendant to stop washing for a bit and after a few minutes I was able to take a shower.
Review 17:Booked 2 rooms with Booking.com and only one was reserved. Luckily I called ahead to confirm and they were able to give me another room for the same low rate.
Review 18:Great hotel. Convenient location for our activities
Review 19:One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Basic but filling breakfast. Strong wi-fi coverage throughout the building. 5 minute walk to U of M. Fresh cookies upon our arrival was a nice touch.
Review 20:Internet connection did not work. No phone or phone book or local information.
Review 21:Good facility for an overnight stay. Surprisingly quiet. Beds very comfortable.
Review 22:Weak wi-fi connection, no fridge or microwave in room.
Review 23:Room was quiet, and had a nice neutral clean smell- no excess air freshener or perfume-y sheets. Pretty quiet, really close to restaurants and campus.
Review 24:Only thing was the trains that came thru in middle of night, right behind our room, found a few (three) ants in BR
Review 25:Liked the location, easy to fine, off the main road, very clean, but did miss King size bed and price paid for one night, little high, senior are, generally, not messy
Review 26:I got better hifi from McDonald's next door, shower fan didn'twork, towel rake in bathroom was broken, they gave my room away and putme up in a smokey room hotel 4 blocks away that I had to walk to at 2am.My room was just old, old, old.
Review 27:The location to um is very close.
Review 28:Rough night there due to up stairs guest went wild at 1 am. Not motels fault and they called police to take care of situation, but it was very loud and facility could use more insulation around door and new door lock cuz they were poor.
Review 29:Staff was good. Had hands full with HS guests . Baba's cafe on end had delise burgers and gyros. Try the fried pickle spears!
Review 30:A train passed behind it, the room was way out with an outside entrance. Probably the worst location for the room because it was booked for the lowest rate. The pool was in an outside building. Dim light, worn furnishings and not real clean. Solo male and just needed a bed and shower so it was tolerable.
Review 31:Nice reception clerk and good breakfast. Real sausage. Good coffee and cookies in the lobby. Near everything you would need.
Review 32:Showers don't appear to have unlimited hot water, but if you aren't a thirty-minute shower type you probably won't notice.
Review 33:We came in late (11p) and were settled in quickly, with fresh-baked cookies in our hands-- we had arrived just in time for the desk clerk to replenish the stock in the cookie jar! Room was a king-size, bed was excellent. Breakfast was REALLY good with sausages, raisin toast, fried eggs, hot tea and coffee, and waffles-- there were other options, but we were stuffed! Definitely plan to stay at Campus Inn on my next trip from Seattle to Yellowstone.
Review 34:The room we were in had no clock. The breakfast was ok. If you like cereal and toast. They did have susage and eggs that were ok.
Review 35:Love the location. Room was clean and quiet.
Review 36:Breakfast was over before we got up at ten. Not everyone gets up early when traveling. Especially when attending concerts.
Review 37:Room was epic, staff was friendly and courteous and the bed was very comfortable.
Review 38:The train line is very close to the hotel and the noise from trains is very loud. However they don't run as frequently at night as during the day.
Review 39:Clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good.
Review 40:We booked a King size bed. Did not find out until we arrived that there were no King size beds available. Desk clerk was combative even before I said anything.
Review 41:The room was filthy. The tub wouldn't drain, the fan was making a horrible sound, there was a bush in front of our door that was so overgrown you had to walk off the sidewalk to get in the door. There was old trash all over outside.
Review 42:The clerk who checked us in was great and deserves credit for trying to make a bad experience better.
Review 43:Pool and hot tub virtually unusable due to no climate controls or ventilation of terrarium like pool area. Way too hot and humid to enjoy in the summer.
Review 44:I did my online booking with Booking.com. When I arrived at the Motel I was assigned to a cheaper room, poor quality, dated room with broken toilet seat, tub faucet that didn't shut off properly. I was very disappointed in this room and service.
Review 45:Location
Review 46:Our second stay was 3 days. Our room was never cleaned. I thought maybe it was because we were in and out of room. I asked the maid directly and contacted the front desk. I will say the front desk clerk was nice. The maid not so much. We received a minor $ compensation. That is not what we wanted, we wanted our room cleaned.
Review 47:Location was great! We stayed there twice in the month of August. A total of 4 days.
Review 48:Hotel located close to train tracks, and freight trains went through all night, blowing their horns. Also, phone and wifi didn't work.
Review 49:Very clean room, in a safe location.
Review 50:So we booked our stay for 2 nights but ended up extending our stay 1 more night and they ended up charging us double the price for that night!
Review 51:It was very nice the first 2 days we stayed! The beds are really comfortable and staff was nice.
Review 52:The lack of chemical smelling air freshener in the room. This was probably the nicest smelling place I've ever stayed. The laundry was nice and cheap and the WiFi was good. Front desk guy was pleasant and efficient. Gyro place on site was a bonus!
Review 53:The breakfast choices were limited. We arrived one hour after it had begun, and many items were gone.
Review 54:Absolutely the best night's sleep I've ever had at a hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and clean.
Review 55:Our suite was missing drawer pulls and we found women's underwear under the bed that did not belong to us!
Review 56:It was a good location for taking our daughter to the U of M but needs some TLC. Obviously this hotel is used as a party stay during Griz football games. Great staff and good enough for our stay.
Review 57:The room is old, beds were not comfortable, the train ran all night and day, there was no hot water for showers, and windows have no screens. Not a good experience.
Review 58:The only complaint I have is the old coffee was left in the pot both days I was there and there was no new coffee to replace it either day.
Review 59:Overall, I was satisfied.
Review 60:room wasn't very clean. we had one of the "out dated" rooms. Small old tv, room was an inconvenient to find and get to.
Review 61:good location, lobby was pretty.
Review 62:No particular bad experiences, just not the most glamorous of places to stay. Also, the upstairs is unbearably hot, thank goodness each room has an air conditioning unit which made the rooms comfortable.
Review 63:Loved the price and the relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a steal
Review 64:A couple of the light bulbs were out and the bathroom door wouldn't shut.
Review 65:The staff was very willing to help, everything was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good and well stocked.
Review 66:The Campus Inn is a great value. It is conveniently located across the street from the Clark Fork river trail system and a couple of blocks from the university. Also, easy freeway access (without being noisy) if you are on the go.
Review 67:Never could connect to their "free" Wi-Fi NO CLOCKS - our phone service (T-Mobile) doesn't work in Montana, we don't have smart phones either. With no clock available and no wake up calls, we had to buy an alarm clock! Bring one with you!!!
Review 68:Low cost option, clean and has both pool and hot tub - exercise room also for those who like one. Breakfast is typical carbohydrate fare. Staff always friendly, love the rooms with cooking facilities when we are in town for longer periods
Review 69:Clean nice hotel for a very good rate. Nice if you are just stopping through on a road trip and need somewhere to sleep for the night. It is very close to U of Montana and a lot of restaurants.
Review 70:Refrigerator didn't work and they didn't care. The 7:00am start or the breakfast made it worthless to me. They could have coffee and rolls at 6:00am to make it convenient.
Review 71:Location and price.
Review 72:Room smelled like smoke. Was told I could get another room in the morning. In the morning they said they were all booked. Said they would try and fix the smell. Did nothing.
Review 73:Nothing
Review 74:compared to the other hotels I stayed at on my trip this was at the bottom when it comes to comfort.
Review 75:staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was small with very few outlets. Booked as a budget double, one full bed and had to get roll away for extra person. Very small and cramped. Bed and roll away not very comfortable. Not the best value for the price
Review 76:The only complaint was the bathroom which needs to be updated. The shower water temperature was hard to adjust, the toilet would continue to run after flushing and the lighting was bad. With bathroom makeovers this would be a GREAT place to stay!
Review 77:Friendly staff and clean property.
Review 78:Our room smelled musty and was humid. I wasn't expecting the train noise although I know that's unavoidable for the hotel itself. The shower had some mildew in the corners and I'm thinking that the room has humidity problems in general. The breakfast offerings were ok, but there was no coffee and not enough seating when we were there.
Review 79:The rate was great!
Review 80:The room was and smelled clean. There is no excuse for furniture drawerswithout knobs, a bathtub plugged with hair and takes forever to drainand the shower curtain was dragging the floor and ready to collapse!Even the wall ac - which I did not use - was heavily plugged with dust.If there were any ownership pride in this facility, one room should notexhibit such poor maintenance. I'll never stay there again orrecommend it to anyone!
Review 81:Room was relatively clean. While Missoula is not exactly a primeexpensive destination, $72.00 a night (+taxes) for the most basic, brickroom at street level for overnight accommodation (they call it'budget') is, in my opinion, hardly a bargain.
Review 82:The breakfast room/Lobby space was crowded during breakfast, especially during peak checkout time. Lobby should be separate.
Review 83:Quiet, clean and nicely decorated room.
Review 84:Night staff member took a very long time to come to the desk when we checked in. There are some rooms with doors to the outside (ie motel style), and some inside. The wifi signal was undetectable in our motel-style room. We asked to be moved to a different room the second night and wifi was fine. You may get road noise depending which side of the hotel you're on.
Review 85:Good location (walking distance to Higgins St), rooms are large, beds adequate, decent continental breakfast
Review 86:Room over priced for what you received, such as a small 20" flat screen TV, breakfast was toast, bagels, or cereal. I have been in cheaper hotels and received better,
Review 87:The Staff was helpful.
Review 88:There was no TV remote control in our room and the desk attendant did not get back to us regarding this problem.
Review 89:Our room was clean and comfortable and the location was very convenient for our needs!
Review 90:Toilet was not working; it was late at night and was not fixed before we left the next morning. No clock, loud train twice during the night.
Review 91:breakfast was good.
Review 92:I showed up 15 minutes before 3 pm and was told I couldn't check in yet. I sat down to wait for 3 pm. 5 minutes later 2 other parties arrived and were allowed to check in ahead of me. The breakfast bar was a joke and the coffee was horrible.
Review 93:The location and the price.
Review 94:Breakfast was very basic but McDonalds is next door so we were good to go.
Review 95:The motel is close to the freeway and easy to find when driving north through town. Because the motel is very close to the university, it has a college decor/feel to it.
Review 96:First room, couldn't close door without using key card. Second room door lock okay.
Review 97:This is an older property, but delivers decent value for the cost. We were just spending the night while passing through both times, and it suited our needs. Parking can be a bit of a problem.
Review 98:The toilet was very low and cramped. The shampoo provided was used before me. The pool was cloudy and dirty.
Review 99:We liked the location and that checkout was at 12:00.
Review 100:When we first arrived we were given a room that didn't have thetable and sofa. It was a queen bed in each room. But we then went to thelobby and explained to them we wanted what we signed up for. Room withsofa, kitchen (with dishes etc), dining table and they brought us dishesand gave us a different room. One room was specifically for sleeping andthe other for entertaining. Thank you. Beds were not good for my husbandwith bad back, couldn't work the tv in the bedroom area. Internetwasn't the most reliable either, but all employees were wonderful!Very friendly and the pool was refreshing.
Review 101:The staff were so friendly. Location was great! If you needed somethingfor your room, a staff member would help us get it. (John: Thanks forbringing us the kitchen wear)
Review 102:Though had a kitchen, there were absolutely no pots, pans, or dishes of any sort, rendering it virtually unusable other than fridge. Sink was backed up. Stove missing knobs.TV volume didn't work on 1 TV. Light burned out on bathroom, dirty backslash. Right by train tracks with horn blasts several times during night. Terrible front desk staff; unhelpful in addressing problems with room.
Review 103:Beds ok. Original person I called about reservation change wad incredibly helpful. Too bad college kid running front desk at night had no clue about customer service, much less kept us waiting several minutes in lobby before even coming out to greet us.
Review 104:The room had a what I can only describe as a funky smell not pleasant. Also door didn't fit well so sound travelled right though waking me up with the 5:00 am early risers. Only stayed one night and found a new hotel for the second night.
Review 105:Not bad, but the breakfast was barely adequate. Would help if you had a waffle machine. Noise of the trains behind the facility was LOUD.
Review 106:Convenient to the university.
Review 107:Check in was listed as 2:00PM, but when I arrived I was informed it wasn't until 3:00PM. I was in town for a wedding that started at 3:00PM and would have appreciated the ability to get ready in my room like I planned, but instead had to use a public restroom elsewhere. Thanks Campus Inn! The room was also underwhelming with burnt out lightbulbs, a door you had to slam shut just to get it to close, and a tv remote that changed the channel and that's it. If you're looking for a cheap bed and a shower, this place is for you. But after my experience, I'll never stay here again. It's worth it to pay a little more for a better experience.
Review 108:The only thing this place has going for it is that it's close to the University of Montana, but that also means getting to listen to the train all night.
Review 109:I feel it was a little overpriced for how basic it was. There also seems to be fairly limited parking.
Review 110:It's a pretty basic place, but the location is great. It's just a few minutes from Higgins Ave which is loaded with shops and restaurants.
Review 111:The room above mine was pretty loud. I could here people walking around and moving things around when I was trying to sleep. The room was pretty quiet otherwise.
Review 112:I ran the Missoula Marathon and so the location and comfort of the bed was of the most importance for me. I was happy with both!
Review 113:Originally put us in a room that didn't smell very good and also had an outside entrance behind a large bush that needed trimming. We didn't feel very safe and advised the desk clerk. He moved us to a better area where. the room was cleaner and smelled better.
Review 114:Staff was accommodating.
Review 115:Pool was freezing cold and we were there FOR the pool. Very disappointing. Put in the handicap room so beds were smaller, bathroom was all time and floor stayed wet, Wi-Fi was weak, light from lobby came through gaps in door.
Review 116:Great customer service!
Review 117:The closest door to get up to my room did not open with my room key. I had to walk through the lobby every time. This was very inconvenient as I was on the road for 11 days and had quite a bit of luggage to take to my room, including golf clubs. If that door had worked I would have been more satisfied with my stay.
Review 118:The motel was very central. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly.
Review 119:Woman that was cleaning the pool area complained loudly about the trash can, an complained about guests, which we were, while we were tanning. Despite this, the rest of the staff was nice.
Review 120:Friendly desk workers, especially the gentleman with glasses and sport coat.
Review 121:We had a horrible stay! The train right behind the hotel runs every hour or so and blows the whistle all night long. The bed was very hard, the coffee maker was dirty, the toilet seat was loose and there was a very finite line while taking a shower between warm and scalding. The kicker was waking up in the night with 2 big, black bugs crawling on us.
Review 122:It was close to the interstate.
Review 123:Room wasn't cooled down. Took awhile since it was very warm.
Review 124:Nearby sports bar with great food tvs pool table teenagers could go in and play pool.
Review 125:they take our reservations and then the day before we get dumped due to supposed re-modeling. Why did they accept my reservation originally? Luckily Holiday Inn was still available.
Review 126:No housekeeping during 3 day stay, had to get room keys programmed everyday, no a/c in lobby on hot day, breakfast was sub par - very few choices and poorly laid out, no treadmill in workout room.
Review 127:Great location near campus, free wifi, nice pool
Review 128:What I wrote above.
Review 129:Could have been higher but the guy at th front desk got my reservations mixed up and didn't know what room I've booked. The wifi was bad but the bed was comfy. Maybe it would help also if the hedges were trimmed getting to my car. Otherwise okay for the price. Also, McDonalds is across the way so if you don't want cold cereal or bagels, there you go.
Review 130:Many deficiencies in the room. Door to room was half hidden behind an untrimmed shrub. Wifi was flaky to the point of uselessness. Had to stand on a chair to reach AC controls. There was no fridge or microwave. No hangers in the closet. Dead bolt latch did not work and no alternative. TP holder in the bathroom was broken and in pieces on the bathroom counter when I arrived.
Review 131:Good location, close to the U of M campus, restaurants, etc. Clean, comfortable room.
Review 132:reserved a suite as traveling with 4 adult males. on arrival was told that Booking.com had overbooked suited and that we would be placed into a single room with only 2 beds..breakfast was out of pretty much everything - coffee, toast, muffins all gone.. most patrons just went to McDonalds next door..
Review 133:No refrigerator in room, no clock, no tv listings info.
Review 134:Very friendly staff, immediately fixed a drain issue with the tub. Modern decor in the room, pleasant furnishings. Plenty of room. Easy to use, effective cooling and heating system.
Review 135:There was nothing I didn't like at this hotel.
Review 136:Within walking distance of the concert venue. Room was clean; breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful
Review 137:Located next to a train track. Trains come by and honk their horn at all hours. Several during the night. Impossible to sleep through it. Breakfast is either a bagel or cold cereal.
