Reviews for City Center Motel
Review 1:Sent note back to encourage placement of shower rod further into shower to eliminate water on floor.
Review 2:Location near Dr. office on Broadway. The cost was very reasonable. A newly renovated room . Just a convienent lace to stay.
Review 3:WOW, staff were fabulous. They helped me leave at 4:00 in the morning by providing me a coffee pot, coffee, fresh milk--was I happy! Such super nice staff. The room was quiet, so clean and a great location...went far beyond my expectations. Thanks for a great visit to Missoula.
Review 4:This motel was perfect! VERY clean. The rooms have been updated and had everything we needed..bed, bathroom, wifi and TV. motel is in walking distance of the Adam Center (Neil Young concert) and downtown Missoula (great food). Perfect place for what we had planned. We will book this motel for Missoula trips.
Review 5:None
Review 6:Great location for downtown Missoula. Hotel is a little old but clean and comfortable. Staff is nice, friendly and helpful. Over all is good, I would stay here again next time I'm in town. Good bang for the buck.
Review 7:Breakfast of some sort would be nice, even if just coffee and store-bought muffins. Gas station within walking distance for quickie breakfast.
Review 8:Good location within walking distance of a really good brew pub!
Review 9:Not a bad experience but the TV cable seems to lose signal a few times. No real big deal for me as the Wifi was good enough to run Netflix.
Review 10:Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good location in town. Several places to eat within walking distance.
Review 11:Old facility, dated furniture, bathroom corkscrew bulb only flashed. a lot of stuff piled around the outside
Review 12:Mgr. was friendly. They are trying. Was within walking distance of downtown
Review 13:Room very small. No closet and no luggage racks. We did ask the next day and 2 racks were provided.
Review 14:Room was clean and had a updated modern vibe to it. Small frig and new TV.
Review 15:the bed comfort could be improved, it shook noticeable when my daughter or I moved even a little bit. It is tiny space and yet still quite well laid out
Review 16:location close to the University and downtown, cleanliness, updated interior a big nice, super friendly staff, free Wifi, nice TV
Review 17:No services at all. There are better choices in Missoula, but it is fine if you just wanto to sleep and keep traveling next day.
Review 18:It is an old motel, but it was remodelled. It is very clean.
Review 19:Lights in the parking lot on all night, thin curtains did nothing to block it; it was like trying to sleep with a light on in the room. They really need to get some black out curtains! Seriously only got 2-3 hours of poor quality sleep. We'll be visiting Missoula a lot as family members have moved there, but we will not be staying here again. Also the bed was not comfortable and thin walls mean you hear all activity in other rooms and in the parking lot. Also not enough parking.
Review 20:Location was convenient, free Wi-Fi, staff okay.
Review 21:Really wish for a little coffeemaker in the room.
Review 22:Stayed just one night during a long road trip. I had a modern room that smelled like new and looked great. Excellent value for the cost.
Review 23:behind the bathroom window was an alley with a dumpster, which was a cut through for both traffic and pedestrians. no phone, no bureau, no coffee maker, bed was stated as queen size but was very small for 2 people.
Review 24:room was updated and clean. best tasting coffee in lobby, large selection of teas. no breakfast available.
Review 25:Needs to serve a small breakfast.
Review 26:They are obviously trying to upgrade an old motel and are fairly successful. It was clean, had new appliances in the bathroom and was located downtown.
Review 27:The trains down the street blowing their horns as they passed in the middle of the night was not ideal.
Review 28:The staff was very accommodating and the hotel provided a decent place to crash at the end of a long day.
Review 29:There wasn't anything I didn't like, it just wasn't a fancy place, if that's what you like.
Review 30:It was clean and quiet. That's what matters to me.
Review 31:Being refurbished and still needs some work. Some things a bit funky.
Review 32:Staff/owners were very welcoming and helpful. The location downtown was wonderful. Be sure to see the carousel.
Review 33:limited parking, but not really an issue
Review 34:Welcoming and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to downtown area. Cleaning and bed (linens, mattress, pillows) like a much more expensive motel.
Review 35:There was a small error on the charge for the room due to the online discount, this was sorted efficiently once highlighted. The room floor was irregular and so the table was wobbly. Required some work to steady it. Room smaller than others I've seen in same price range, but sufficient. Old style TV rather than a flatscreen, though I don't ever watch TV so this didn't bother me.
Review 36:Friendly helpful staff who recommended places to eat. Excellent WiFi connection speed. Tasty coffee in the morning. Easily reachable from the highway.
Review 37:The facility of this motel is great, wifi works well. Even though the facility is a bit old style, but the price is very reasonable and more than enough for a one-night stay when you are driving to somewhere and pass by Missoula. The location is perfect as it is close to the downtown, you can easily find a place for dinner.
Review 38:No complaints.
Review 39:From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But the room was beautiful! Everything new & elegant. Staff/owners were warm & genuine.
Review 40:The location is a 5 minute walk from the Wilma theatre and the rest of the action downtown. Loved the location and also loved the value. I was a solo traveler and didn't need anything fancy for my quick visit so this was the ideal choice!
Review 41:Do to construction I was plagued by flying ants in the morning. I would not recommend this until renovation is complete.
Review 42:The location is great. The staff friendly and very helpful.
Review 43:The bed and blankets weren't comfortable, the microwave was old and outdated and didn't work well, so I warm up frozen foods that didn't cook thoroughly, ended up picking at it and throwing it away.
Review 44:The location and staff are friendly
Review 45:A well maintened clean motel in the centre of the city. A small fridge, microwave and free wifi was perfect for our needs. The staff were friendly and help full. We have been travelling around the U.S. for some time and the standard is sometimes wanting, but not here. Highly recommended for the money.
Review 46:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The temperature control worked excellently. Older model TV but who cares? The picture was great. The bed was also comfortable. I've stayed at much more expensive motels and not had as good an experience. If you're looking for a 4-star hotel, stay somewhere else, but all we wanted was value and comfort, and this place delivered. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Missoula.
Review 47:Shower did not produce a comfortable water temperature. Close quarters of rooms meant neighbors smoked cigarettes immediately outside of our room.
Review 48:Cheap, relatively clean room.
Review 49:Can be a bit noisy as it's on a busy street plus your neighbors seem very close, though I kept the fan cranked to help drown that out a bit. All rooms were full so parking was an issue, and my next door neighbor came home after 2 am somewhat noisily. These rooms have just the basics..as long as you don't need or want a lot of extras from your stay, you should be happy.
Review 50:Great location for going downtown on foot. Room is older but clean, which is vital. Check in was friendly and ready to help. Fridge and microwave provided and decent tv. I felt safe and comfortable enough here to recommend to friends.
Review 51:Internet signal was very poor. If you don't use the internet, then this place will work for most people.
Review 52:The room was clean. The staff were friendly. Great location to see the downtown area.
Review 53:The bathroom was COLD as the only heater is electric and in the bedroom. 2 night tables would be nice instead of 1.
Review 54:The location was good, staff great, room clean!
Review 55:This motel is not luxurious. But it's also $55 a night, so anyone complaining about lack of luxury is just being greedy. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and it is very quiet and in a great location. You will not hear 500 lb. doors being slammed all night. That's all I need.
Review 56:Just as many other hotels and motels, the TV is quite useless (nothing really good ever plays on those channels) and the air conditioner is rather noisy.
Review 57:I liked the location close to the University, close to downtown, the bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was quite clean. There's free coffee on the entrance, a soda machine by the stairs. The manager was also excepcionally friendly.
Review 58:The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The location is pretty central and was within walking distance to food and shopping which was nice since I was without a vehicle.
Review 59:Outdated room. Smelled like institutional cleaner. Older bed.
Review 60:Cheap rate, great front desk. Ample parking. Very close to downtown. Room clean with fridge, microwave, A/C
Review 61:Our particular room was located right above the hotel's light, and the bed was quite noisy. I'm a light sleeper and it would wake me up every time I rolled over, then I'd think it was daylight out because of the sign - would recommend maybe some venetian blinds or blackout curtains??
Review 62:It was very conveniently located - we walked to everything we needed/wanted to do. The man who checked us in was very friendly and offered us lots of places to eat. The room was pretty outdated but was very, very clean. The room was also quite large and was perfect for us.
Review 63:Bring earplugs if trains and college students on the way home from the bars keep you awake
Review 64:Owners/staff very nice and friendly Always clean Excellent value
Review 65:I really didn't like the smell of the room freshener but it wasn't that bad
Review 66:I though the room was pleasant and in a very handy location for downtown businesses and the Hospital
Review 67:Very very outdated. We had a broken window on the bathroom.
Review 68:It was cheap for a few hours stay. If we had planned on being there for over a 12 hour stay, I would have requested a refund and went elsewhere!
Review 69:Felt like I was in an early 90'start time warp because that's the last time anything must have been replaced.
Review 70:Location is great. Right downtown.
Review 71:The room was dark. The bathroom could had been a little more inviting.
Review 72:I liked the fact that the motel was an easy walk to the downtown area. We had an upstairs room on the main street. It was quite and the bed was comfortable. It worked great for a one night stay.
Review 73:They moved us without any questions asked after we requested a bottom floor room so we could sit outside. We stayed 3 nights and they made our bed and changed our towels every morning.
Review 74:A kettle in the room would be nice.
Review 75:Super friendly staff, great A.C., WiFi only so-so. We wanted hot water for our tea at night, there was no kettle in our room but the woman (owner?) went and boiled some water for us in her kitchen.
Review 76:It's a very nice hotel, close to the main attractions. The staff is very friendly. You also can find many different options for breakfast, lunch and dinner nearby.
Review 77:The furniture wasn't newest, but the bed was very good. There was a big noise in the back of the motel - maybe some big AC unit, so I needed earplugs for the night.
Review 78:Clean and nicely smelling room. Very comfortable bed. Microwave in the room.
Review 79:The door did not automatically lock. Had to remember to lock the door when we left. But no biggie.
Review 80:Location. Bathroom spacious and clean. Fridge and microwave in room pleasant surprise. Recommended but if you are looking for the Hilton, go elsewhere
Review 81:Be sure you tell them if you want to sleep in. they do not have do not disturb signs so they wake you at 8 o'clock to clean the room
Review 82:Staff and location
Review 83:The bed was very uncomfortable. We had a fridge in our room that was very loud (and we didn't use it at all). The bathroom was not great--the light had an interesting quirk where it took 3 seconds to turn on. The shower head was rather low, which was fine for me but not for my boyfriend who is taller than me. And the shower drain was clogged, which didn't bother us too much until we came back to our room one afternoon and the manager was in our shower trying to fix it, and he blamed us for it being clogged! Overall the room was fairly clean and the accommodations were okay, you can just probably get a slightly better room for the same price elsewhere in town.
Review 84:It was in a great location for easily walking to all the shops and restaurants downtown. The wifi was good. We were able to park just outside our room, which was convenient.
Review 85:Staff was helpful and completely charming.
Review 86:Not worth for the price
Review 87:Clean
Review 88:Nothing.
Review 89:STAY HERE. STAY HERE. STAY HERE. Clean. Comfortable. Updated. Cool. Great location. Cheap. Perfect.
Review 90:Very neat and clean, modern room and the location to venues is great! Have already recommended and booked another stay!
Review 91:It didn't have a phone in the room or a coffee pot. Room was really too tiny for the price.
Review 92:Staff was very nice.
Review 93:Nothing
Review 94:Everything. What a wonderful, locally-owned place. Will definitely stay there again.
Review 95:Pillows were a bit to soft for my taste.
Review 96:Good location, not noisy, great price. Would stay again.
Review 97:Our room was totally remodeled. We were the first to stay in it! It is so convenient to walk downtown. No better place for the value!!!!
Review 98:Small rooms
Review 99:Good location
Review 100:My plane came in late, but they accommodated me. The staff is tremendous!
Review 101:Staff was amazing and friendly. More then happy to help you
Review 102:It was easy...tastefully remodeled. Very funtional.
Review 103:liked the price and cleanliness
Review 104:Great service. Small, yet clean and comfortable
Review 105:This is a very nice little motel close to everything in downtown. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. An outstanding value for the price.
Review 106:Great value. Nothing fancy, just want I expected.
Review 107:The owners are the best!
Review 108:Older motel but clean and tidy. - perfect for overnight.
Review 109:Great location to downtown. Great being able to park bikes in front of rooms.
Review 110:Close to Washington Grizzly stadium. Close enough to walk and very nice.
Review 111:Small room. Old bathroom.
Review 112:Quiet and near campus.
Review 113:quiet, good insulation between rooms
Review 114:Air conditioner excessive noise & non-stop. Mold in the shower. Poor lighting in shower. Difficult to control water temp.
Review 115:Location.
Review 116:Woke up spider bitten quite badly my last morning
Review 117:Awesomely friendly staff
Review 118:Staff was extremely nice. Convinently located near the highway in downtown Missoula. It was a really nice surprise, nice restaurants and cafes nearby
Review 119:Friendly personnel with great tip for dinner: rest. Plonk in city center. Best meal on whole tour!
Review 120:Older facility but nicely updated and cared for by young couple who took over recently; very pleasant people to work with; very accomodating
Review 121:Train was running near
Review 122:Clean room and beds
Review 123:Very quiet!!
