Reviews for Brooks St. Motor Inn

Review 1:The floor in our room was wood lament and when I walked across it in my bare feet the bottom of my feet were black.

Review 2:The room was good sized, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water. When we needed coffee at 1am the gentleman in the office was more than happy to make it for us.

Review 3:The signs warning me to protect my belongings and safety tips kinda made me worried about staying there. Perhaps I would have felt more comfortable on second floor? It would be nice if breakfast, even though simple, maybe offered some hard boiled eggs. Some protein is nice to have. Doesn't need to be a lot.

Review 4:I enjoyed being there. It's simple, basic, clean, good enough for me especially because I was only there for evening and early morning before classes. The bed was good. Fine place.

Review 5:The only thing I noticed when staying in room #405 was that the wall paper opposite the sink was soiled and there was a stain on the sink counter that I believe could be removed. Otherwise ... Great, Clean room!

Review 6:Brook St. Motor Inn is one of the cleanest motels my wife and I have stayed in.

Review 7:We were there 3 nights. On the third night I had to ask for a bar ofsoap. There was two of us. Sad to report had someone get in my stuff andtook my charges for my phones. I bet they were getting a Germin becauseit was in that box.Gald I took with me.

Review 8:Nice and near places to eat. Jakers is about 2 blocks away very good

Review 9:extremely noisy piping in our room meant we were woken up by a huge noise of water for 20 minutes at 6am. Couldn't get back to sleep.... place was pretty shabby.... but....

Review 10:Cheap!

Review 11:Towel bars closer to the shower rather than across the room would have been better along with a towel rack by each sink.

Review 12:Separate bath area and double sinks, large room, very clean.

Review 13:We requested a non-smoking room, however it smelled like cigarettes once we opened the door. The were burn holes in the top of the blanket, and dried splatters and hair on the bathroom walls and shower. The free breakfast wasn't very accommodating for those with children.

Review 14:The people were nice, and the location was quiet and comfortably spread out.

Review 15:The smell of the room, someone had smoked in our room. Shampoo and other shower needs were poor, bring your own stuff!

Review 16:We liked that we were 5 mins from the start of the Run Wild Missoula Half. The place was great for a place to grab a great night sleep before the race :)

Review 17:The bathroom sink in my room had a "trick faucet" that didn't seem to allow much water to flow and then suddenly, with the next micro-nudge, a torrent was released resulting in an impromptu back-spray-shower. It took some practice to use it without incident.

Review 18:There was a microwave and a good sized fridge which allowed me to heat my own dinner. The breakfast muffins were great as well.

Review 19:room 108 the shower diverter was wore out hard to get correct water temp and very poor water flow to take a shower

Review 20:nice easy to find nice staff

Review 21:Don't like the idea that a dog may have stayed in my room. Could have had a little more explanation about where Ice Vending machine was ... how to log in to WIFI, etc.

Review 22:It was quiet and relaxing. Even the parking areas were well-kept.

Review 23:Large spacious quiet and clean rooms that were recently remodeled and a great value. Had a refrigerator and microwave and a large dressing area with two sinks. Very quiet and comfortable!

Review 24:Tiny, kids-sized toilet stuck right up against the wall. Would have been nice to have more pillows on the bed and extra blankets in the room.

Review 25:The value was good. Got a room with two queen beds for $53.

Review 26:Shower is low, good for short people and difficult for taller folks. Carpet and window coverings need replacing.

Review 27:Cleanliness, location, value and comfort.

Review 28:The room appeared clean on the surface but the stained carpet (several large spots stained a dark color or maybe melted/burned?) made everything else seem that much more icky: outdated, well-used fixtures and furniture, a bed that was very springy and worn, budget level sheets and pillows. Shower head had only one setting that was really harsh. Soap and shampoo were paltry.

Review 29:The price was right - $50. The room was large, with 2 queen beds and 2 TVs (not sure how that would work if each person was watching a different channel).

Review 30:Didn't like the old smell in the room plus the smell of smokers on the main floor smoking constantly..noisy and I. General dirty appearance

Review 31:Staff were nice and helpful

Review 32:There was nothing 3-star about this room. The hotel's web site shows pictures of a room with a fridge and microwave and nice, new looking furniture. Ours had none of that. The furniture was old and worn, the tub faucet leaked badly, and the heater didn't heat very well. Outlets were in inconvenient locations.

Review 33:It offered sufficient quality basics, such as a bed and bathroom and tiny shampoo and soap and disposable cups. There were enough outlets available that I could plug in my netbook and phone. Also had cable TV.

Review 34:I enjoy everything about this hotel. From the perfect location, to the quiet clean rooms, to the wonderful employees. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I travel to Missoula.

Review 35:The staff were very helpful, the place was quiet, the room was big and comfortable, parking was right in front of the room, and I could mail my post card in the lobby.

Review 36:There had been previous arrangements made with the motel on method of payment, but they charged my card and told me the refund could take 5 or more days. I still haven't received it refunded into my account. After check out, I contacted the motel regarding something I may have forgotten in my room. The gentleman that answered the room was sarcastic and unhelpful, stating that he's not sure he can help me, but he knows where all his own stuff is. Hmmmm, please just check the room.

Review 37:I like the location and the room. For the price, it was very clean comfy and quiet.

Review 38:mattresses need to be replaced and firmer matts would be preferable. A/C heater unit made too much noise. Room could use some wall decor.

Review 39:convenient location. nice, big windows for plenty of light. nice, large room.

Review 40:nothing

Review 41:This place was really decent for the price. It was quiet and clean and the room was huge with two queen beds, a table and lots of open floor space. The bathroo area was massive and clean.

Review 42:The bedding was in need of an upgrade. The sheets were clean, but very flimsy. I kept catching my hand in loose threads in the bedspread. There was a dead bug on the carpet that looked like it had been there for a long time. To plug in my laptop I had to pull the desk away from the wall to get at an outlet.

Review 43:The staff was friendly. WiFi was good. The price was very nice, as I need to watch my budget.

Review 44:Noisy location right on major street. Our room had the ugly smell of the sickly scent sprayed to hide years of smoking, rather than recarprting and redraping the room. We had to open windows and torn on the air conditioner to freshen the air.

Review 45:Location just off major street and close to downtown.

Review 46:Very nice stuff, that gave us a huge and very quiet room above the lobby with two almost separated areas as we were travelling with a baby - so ask for that room if you are also travelling as a small family...

Review 47:The carpet was bunched and stained black as if a gang of Hell's Angels changed their oil in the room, and the smell was terrible! That smokers room/disinfectant smell. Plus the fan in the bathroom was clogged with black fuzz. I took photos, but can't find any way to post them here.

Review 48:The price

Review 49:There really wasn't anything I didn't like. It an older motel and we were there for doctors so it was quite a way from the hospital.

Review 50:Huge room--great bathroom size--wonderful price. I would stay again if I wasn't there for doctors--a ways from hospital.

Review 51:The reception staff person could have been less off hand.

Review 52:We found it clean and comfortable and although our room was close to a main road, it was not noisy.

Review 53:EVERYTHING! Was charged for a no show that we didn't make & how it got on our account I have no idea. Hotel was a joke and would not advise anyone to stay there under any circumstances.

Review 54:NOTHING!

Review 55:The motel is in a great place if you are in town for a University of Montana event, otherwise it is difficult to get to from the freeway, and I was just passing through.

Review 56:The room was clean and fairly comfortable. It was on a main drag so there were many restaurants nearby. The clerk (owner?) made a mistake in my check-in (double booking me) but he caught it quickly and fixed the problem (although my credit card hasn't yet been re-credited). The room was very dark however. The place was a good value for the money.

Review 57:The room was smelly and old. The furniture was shabby, the carpet was old and dirty, the outside of the hotel was old with peeling paint, the AC was old and loud, the sheets had small holes in them under the pillows. the bottom of the tub was dirty - I did not even want to use it, despite my desire of a shower, the room was noisy. I will not stay here again or ever recommend it to others!

Review 58:The size of the room and the really good steak house across the street,

Review 59:Carpet was very dirty and stretched out. Bedding and mattress have seen better days and should be replaced. The room had a stale odor which dissipated once the windows were opened.

Review 60:Coffee and muffins. Quiet location. A/C and WiFi worked well. Beds were comfortable enough. Lots of hot water. Clean bathroom and towels. Room and bathroom were large size.

Review 61:They did not have our reservation when we arrived but they were nice and gave us a two queen room instead of the King room I reserved. When I went to take a shower in the morning the shower would not turn on. Again they were very nice and sent us upstairs to another room to take our showers. I did not care for the hassles.

Review 62:The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Review 63:They weren't checking customer IDs and, as a result, someone had checked in under my reservation. As a result, I got moved to a bigger room, but in a part of the building that was undergoing renovation (I think). The breezeway outside my door looked like a carpet had recently been torn up from it and there were no blackout curtains on the window.

Review 64:Large room, big bathroom, nice and well-meaning employees.

Review 65:Price relative to the amenities offered (free WiFi, coffee, breakfast rolls, clean fridge in my room to keep food and drinks). Front desk staff are friendly, room was comfortable and clean. Restaurants were all close-by, so I have no complaints, and will stay there again next year.

Review 66:The TV was small and out of date, but I don't spend much time watching when on vacation so, it wasn't too much of a issue.

Review 67:Room had a gorgeous view from the private balcony. Also enjoyed the deep soak jetted tub. One block off a major street and it was still very quiet.

Review 68:The carpeting leading up the stairs and covering the walkway was "gross, " to say the least. It was a complete turn off to even want to stay there or even peek inside the room. We tried other motels in Missoula but all were booked and came back for our reserved stay at Brooks. The irony? We slept well in the quiet motel w/ comfy beds!

Review 69:Beds were comfortable but room had an odor as well as being VERY dated in need of new carpeting, furniture and a/c.

Review 70:One of our rooms had a horrible stench of old cigarette smoke. You could hardly breathe. Sheets were kinda gross and the rooms were very ugly.

Review 71:Location. Yummy muffins.

Review 72:We checked out a day early and didn't get a refund like we were supposed to. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best. We weren't in it room all that much so it wasn't a huge deal about the internet but it would have been nice.

Review 73:The room was clean if a bit worn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was breakfast for free, nothing fancy but coffee and muffins. We got an upgrade on our room because we had a child and we were staying longer.

Review 74:"Dog rooms'" seemed dirty and tattered

Review 75:Too far from freeway . Wife wouldn't care for it

Review 76:Fairly inexpensive

Review 77:paper thin walls, could hear everything the next door neighbours were saying

Review 78:in the centre

Review 79:None

Review 80:The staff very nice and courtesy, fun to visit with

Review 81:The room was very clean and spacious. The heating system was quiet.

Review 82:Good place for a night in Missoula

Review 83:Room smelled bad and was a bit of a dive.

Review 84:Nice staff.

Review 85:Location and friendly staff. Nice room.

Review 86:Run down and dirty

Review 87:They had given our room away and tried to give us an unacceptable room under renovation. Ended up sending us to another hotel.

Review 88:Two roaches in room. Tub creaks like it's hollow underneath it.

Review 89:location

Review 90:Loved being able to open the windows! The beds were comfortable. The desk person was kind .

Review 91:Not convinced the sheets were clear. What you could see of the mattress appeared covered in stains and the whole room had an unpleasant odour

Review 92:Good value for the money and extremely pleasant staff.

Review 93:Outdated interiour. Really terrible wifi connection or no connection at all. Kind of freaky people in the neighbourhood.

Review 94:Location is pretty good.

Review 95:The restaurant next door!

Review 96:Small room, very soft bed, no control over noisy A/C unit

Review 97:Location was relatively quiet.

Review 98:Bed is very hard

Review 99:Close drive to campus

Review 100:the cleanlinous and how quiet it was.

Review 101:Poor wifi connection, smoking room was right next door and we could smell it.

Review 102:Comfortable, unusually large room.

Review 103:A. Little further away from I _ 90

Review 104:Great rates.

Review 105:No Wi-Fi in several rooms

Review 106:Worst WiFi connection

Review 107:The housekeeping really cared about our well being and that made me feel welcomed :)

Review 108:Wish you had breakfasts and coffee in rooms

Review 109:I miss having a coffee maker in the room.

Review 110:Clean and simple.

Review 111:rooms are HUGE

Review 112:Great place,

Review 113:Friendly staff, well maintained, convenient stop as we travelled across the state

Review 114:Wi if didn't work, no refrigerator

Review 115:Sink drain was clogged and we were told there was no maintenance person available. We had a non smoking room that smelled of smoke.

Review 116:Everything was wonderful!!

Review 117:The room was clean and the staff was personable!! We enjoyed our stay and will be staying there again on our travels home.

Review 118:Central, closed to main street, quiet and easy parking

Review 119:prefer a better pillow

Review 120:Good location, clean

Review 121:It was quite dated

Review 122:Good value for a short stay

Review 123:Not pet friendly. Location wasn't the greatest.

Review 124:Easy to find.

Review 125:Very good over all.
