Review 1：The parking lot isn't well lit. I reserved a king room but got 2 doubles when I checked in. I blame bookings.com for that though.

Review 6：The hotel is located in the center of town. All of the staff were very helpful and professional. The room size is great. Elevator worked very well and the lobby is nice. Nice, locally owned restaurant on main level with nice decor, good food and service. Hotel bar looks like it could be a good time.

Review 7：The wall paper was coming down. the ceiling was stained. the night latch was broken. The alarm didn't work. The phone had no dial tone. The TV was the old tube type. The pool was advertised, but not available.

Review 14：I've stayed before. The property is a bit dated, but it's clean and has large rooms for a very reasonable price, including free parking. Word is that they're remodeling and changing the name back to the. Penn_Stroud Hotel. Hope I don't get priced out of reach, but it could be a much more gracious place. Back in the day, President Buchanan stayed there.

Review 15：Requested a microwave as per their info when I checked in at 5.30 but was told they can't provide it as maintainance has left at 4pm! front desk attendant does not have access to microwaves! Upon checkout front desk did not even ask the usual like, did you enjoy your stay? Or any problems etc etc! Swimming pool was a hazard broken tiles on pool floor and sides, leaves or something in the pool. Not the cleanest, used towels lying about and also didn't look like the pool filter was working.

Review 26：first there weren't any refrigerators or microwaves Available As Advertised. The swimming pool was not in working order either. According to the housekeeping staff its been out of order for 2 years. When I addressed the manager on duty, nathalie, instead of trying to accomodate my needs, she suggested I try another hotel in the area and check out of this with no charges to my credit card. First of all I shouldn't have been charged for cancelling in the first place so she did me no favors.I wouldn't recommend this establishment to my worst enemy and the cherry on the icing was finding a bug in my path that resembled a roach right before I exited the lobby. Horrible! !

Review 36：There were a few issues that I felt could be improved upon. 1. Very dark room. table with no light, left behind a sweater since it was also dark colored (could not find way to contact). 2. Sunken tube with no handrails for getting in and out (skipped shower). 3. For couple only 1 packet of coffee - minor.

I had to go back downstairs where, one of the few times, the staff was wondering where Jason was and asking eachother, not recognizing that I was waiting to be helped. Also the ice machine did not work and instead of offering to get the ice for me they suggested I go next door to get some. Uhhhhh, what? They eventually brought it to me but when in customer service has anyone taught someone to tell a paying customer to fix a problem of the hotels themselves?!

Review 43：Facility was dirty. In need of thorough cleaning and update. Dirt caked on top of headboard and heating unit. Room smelled. Furniture and room very beat up.

Review 45：Needs a lot of new things like tv, furniture, paint and carpet. The bed was decent but looks like a cheap motel room. Wifi was spotty and had to login a couple of times in order to get a connection. Parking lot is unsafe and very dark so don't walk out at night alone.

Review 46：It was quiet non smoking hotel. Everything was in order easy check in and out. Was located in a convenient location. 1 or 2 days are enough at this hotel, 3 days maybe to much.

Review 47：Checkin person was extremely unpleasant (as if she had seen better days like 40 years ago when the place may have opened!) kingbed was sagging in the middle so we slept on the floor as well as fear of the fact it may have been ridden with bedbugs, shower was extremely outdated and didnt work, along with the decor and furniture. I think our car would have provided better comfort except that it was to cold to sleep in.

Review 49：I booked and informed that I had a dog not problem. I got there about 6 pm checked in with great ease. Paid $20.00 for my dog. 2 Hours after checking in I went to walk my dog and was told-ed they were not a pet friendly place. If they were not pet friendly why did they take my money and charge me for my dog. Not a happy person

Review 50：The customer service was terrible. I asked for a late check out for 1pm when I checked in and the front desk said that's was fine and that they would note it. I then woke up to a phone call from another person at the front desk telling me that never happened and they don't even do that. The worst part had to be the women from househousekeeping screaming at me through the door numerous times to leave when I told her I had a late check out which the person who just woke me up granted me for 11am

Review 62：I did not like the treatment given by the staff at the restaurant attached to the hotel. They allowed us to know that if we did not tip them we were not entitled to good service. The restaurant is owned by the hotel but lease to private parties.

Review 65：We needed a place to meet. Stroudsburg is a happy medium. Pocono Inne Town is inexpensive and a great location for food and bars. It is under renovation, but is still friendly and clean.

Review 66：There was no little fridge in our room. Nor was there one available upon special request. This is not good for diabetics and other people with special needs. Ice available only on top floor. Not enough Electric outlets. Fan in bathroom needs to be cleaned or replaced. We had to keep jiggling the toilet handle to keep the water from running.

Review 67：Old world charm. Wood in the lobby and bar. We saw the nice room for weddings etc. Didn't know the pool was open! But would enjoy that if it's properly monitored - especially the hot tub.
