Reviews for Inn On The Cliff
Review 1:If you want to be able to walk to stores etc this wouldn't be the place for you.
Review 2:Great view, great bed , super staff On the outskirts of town so really quiet. Restaurant was terrific! Breakfast was just ok.
Review 3:Mis communication between stuff. Repeat several times what I need. Got promised but didn't delivered Stuff Apologized. But still inconvenient
Review 4:Clean, Good location and good view. Stuff are friendly.
Review 5:Could use a bit more storage in room. Be aware there is no elevator.
Review 6:Beautiful view. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Breakfast brought to room is a great touch. Staff very attentive and friendly.
Review 7:My only complaint is the hot tub jets button is a ways away from the hot tub itself.. Not a biggie though really.
Review 8:Stayed here several times over the last year or so. Absolutely love it. Even though I was solo this trip, I didn't even consider anywhere else. Nice rooms, very clean, and awesome view. As far I'm concerned it is the ONLY place to stay in ST George.
Review 9:Each of the rooms had a beautiful, individual view of the city of St George. Comfortable - and the restaurant on the premise was delicious, also with a beautiful view!
Review 10:The heating / cooling unit in our room was noisy.
Review 11:Wow 1st time here and we loved it. Truly lives up to reviews. The room was beautiful and clean and view spectacular. We will definitely stay here every time we travel to Colorado from California. Worth every dollar. Bathroom fixtures were exquisite and shower felt so good we wanted to stay in all day. Service was great. Everyone very pleasant and helpful. Totally recommend dining at onsite Cliffside Restaurant. Our dinner was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Review 12:Staff was friendly and very attentive. Rooms were newly remodeled to a tasteful, comfortable, contemporary motif. Everything about this property was excellent (from a person who almost never reviews products, and who would usually rate things as "above average" at it"s best)
Review 13:Second stay at the hotel and we will return again. It's comfortable, clean and has an awesome view of the city. The hotel is a small boutique hotel which is very nice. The staff are friendly and nice. Love this hotel.
Review 14:Nothing really, small bar area would add a little for the hotel residents.
Review 15:Room very good. View stunning. Breakfast excellent in your room. Restaurant food very good.
Review 16:Disappointed in breakfast. Too much sugar. Powder creamer for the coffee. Only one cup per guest. No protein. No choice - one size doesn't necessarily always fit all. 48 Hour cancellation per night ?!?!?
Review 17:Clean. Good recommendation for dinner off site.
Review 18:Very noisy. Could easily hear activity in room above. The occupants either were partyers or children left in room unattended. When booking this hotel, request a room on the top floor
Review 19:Beautiful view and contemporary room interior.
Review 20:2 minor things: sound insulation between rooms could be improved and the really great on-site restaurant being closed on sun pm
Review 21:Rooms were a good size, quirky, nicely furnished with decent beds and a balcony with relaxing chairs; it was lovely having continental breakfast delivered to door on request; they even provided pool towels to what was a really decent pool with l lovely sunset views; the staff were so helpful, we had several queries (additional supplies for room, restaurant recommendations and booking etc) and they were efficient and charming.
Review 22:In room 104 I got to see my first cockroach, and the bathroom is too small with an inadequate fan. In room 207 the bathroom sink had a terrible smell coming out of it, and the bathroom fan was clogged up with lint like gunk. The mattresses are soft and comfortable but if you lean on them from the side the mattress slides off the platform bed frame. The bed frame is super cheap pressure board. There is no ice machine which makes it slightly annoying to ask the front desk every time you need ice.
Review 23:I love the location and helpful front desk staff. Upstairs the room was quiet with wonderful views of St.George. The decor is modern and rooms are well equipped with a mini fridge and Keurig.
Review 24:Whats not to like. Very nice facility, and would go back. Wish we had tried the restaurant adjacent to hotel, because the free breakfast was very nice!
Review 25:Nothing! If there are no handles on the shower walls, they'd be a simple, smart and potentially important addition.
Review 26:Quality of the service, the quiet environment, the comfort of, and exciting views from the relaxing balcony, the convenience of the parking slots, and the availability of the restaurant. The large capacity sink in the bathroom was a real plus for me! My criteria for a suitable hotel room! QUIET COOL DARK the Inn, satisfied them all!!
Review 27:This facility is beautiful and offers an incredible view from a cliff overlooking St. George. The light breakfast is delivered to your room. The adjacent restaurant is top-notch.
Review 28:The view, the room and the pool/hot tub are great. If I ever make another southwest national parks trip, this will be where I spend my first night.
Review 29:That I had to leave.
Review 30:The view was extraordinary. The staff extra friendly and hard working. The pool had the view also. Breakfast delivered to the room was part of package. Not enough room for all the good things to say.
Review 31:Would recommend car hire as there appears to be no public transport in St George and taxi service is very limited and expensive.
Review 32:Spectular views and wonderful food from the resturant. Very comfortable rooms and nice room service for breakfast.
Review 33:The room was very large & attractive with a balcony overlooking the city of St George. At night this was an especially magical sight. The bed was very big and comfortable with a choice of pillows. The bathroom was incredibly well appointed with plenty of room for the travellers needs and four sets of fluffy white towels. The owners are charming- the staff very helpful and the unique location is amazing. Lots of room to spread out- loved every moment of our stay.
Review 34:Restaurant not open on Sunday night so had to go into city to eat,
Review 35:Great rooms with balconies giving fantastic views of the city and mountains. Outdoor pool with same views. Breakfast delivered to rooms. On site restaurant was very classy.
Review 36:lack of ice machine No food service on SundayKept No need for that big plant. Kept running into it.
Review 37:Bed Breakfast View and patio Friendly staff Brunch Pool and hot tub
Review 38:Loved this hotel, clean, modern, comfortable, great restaurant, yummy breakfast, clean pool with a fab pool. Netflix on the TV. Bath & Body Works products. We all loved our stay there. Very welcoming & attentive staff, would happily recommend.
Review 39:Liked it all Just did not realize it was not anywhere near Zion. Atleast an hour.awsy. Our fault entirely. We weren't familiar with thearea. For those going on to Bryce from Zion, which we were, it wouldhave been a big backtrack. We had to cancel the second night
Review 40:Nice decor
Review 41:One yogurt was nice - 1/2 cup - other one was pathetic - 2 Tablespoons of yogurt! Called at 8:45 am (was instructed to call ~10-15 min before I wanted it) and it arrived after ~10 am - likely last served with whatever yogurt they had - (sad) wound have gone out for bfst if I had known. We planned to hike - and was set back an hour - and there was a heat advisory- wish we didn't wait for the breakfast.
Review 42:View, pool
Review 43:We stayed here for 2 days and the breakfast was brought to your room abdthat was great but it was 2 times the same and we did not realy likedit. Perhaps let the guest choose between 2 simple things.
Review 44:Amazing view, friendly staff and great rooms. A few supermarkets closeby and great place to stay if you visit Zion. About an hour drive butworth it !Pool was great to !
Review 45:wi-fi could use improving (range wise)
Review 46:Unique location overlooking the town of St George surrounded by red rock mountains. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, stunning location for their outdoor pool. All in one - would go there again!
Review 47:The bed was a bit too soft for my husband, who has a sensitive back.
Review 48:Friendly staff, beautiful view, modern decor, sparkling clean room, quiet setting and comfortable linen. It's obvious that the owners have put in a lot of thought to make this an upscale experience at a very reasonable price.
Review 49:Wonderful boutique hotel with a wonderful view of St. George. We will defintely stay there again. They have a restaurant on grounds that looked lovely, again with beautiful views. Look forward to trying it on a future stay.
Review 50:They had a decent continental breakfast of yogurt, granola, juice and fruit with free room delivery. They had trouble with the timely delivery of this breakfast...which was not a big deal unless you are on a tight schedule.
Review 51:The view coupled with a clean, comfortable and modern facility.
Review 52:There was nothing we didn't like, but it was a shame the restaurant was closed. Saying that, they recommended a fantastic place up the road 'Anasazi'
Review 53:Everything was fantastic. Much more than we expected for the price we paid!
Review 54:Had dinner at Cliffside restaurant. Food still was great but I was disappointed by the cheesecake dessert. The pictures on the website were no way near how it looked when it came out and didn't have any of the extras shown on photo: just cheesecake and raspberry coulis. We would have liked to use the pool&spa in the morning but at 10a.m. it was still full of sand, leaves and insects (there was a storm the night before). Not what you would expect when the pool opens at 6 or 7 a.m.
Review 55:This was our second stay here and we still enjoyed it very much. We loved the room with big bed and TV and it has amazing views. We enjoyed the pool. Breakfast is small but fresh, we love that they bring it to your room.
Review 56:This place was beautiful. The staff was amazing. The view was breathtaking. The breakfast was great. The restaurant next door was incredible. I couldn't have been happier.
Review 57:would not change a thing
Review 58:I loved the room from the moment I walked inside. Beautiful place you have and I won't stay anywhere else when I travel to St. George. I also ate at the restaurant and it was wonderful.
Review 59:Your Place is awesome no complaints
Review 60:Romantic Minnie vacation, loved being served the Breakfast,Staff went above and beyond very friendly, hope to come back in about 6 months, excellant place to stay for a Minnie retreat.
Review 61:A minor point but there was no choice of breakfast (delivered to the room)
Review 62:The room was very comfortable and well fitted. The adjoining restaurant was excellent (closed on Sundays)
Review 63:leaving. We wanted to stay longer but if was fully booked :(
Review 64:Beautiful lodges on the hills with an amazing view! Very friendly personnel. We loved our spotless room and the swimming pool area. They take care of everything: from the bath towels in the room to the breakfast service (delivered to your room). There is a restaurant too where we had a very romantic dinner overlooking the canyons (food is delicious). Highly recommended!
Review 65:Location of the Inn on the Cliff is amazing and the food was very tasty. The staff was very courteous and informative and the bed was very comfortable
Review 66:The surrounding area was a little industrial and some if the pictures of the view and the pool made it seem a lot more grand and resort-like than it was. It was basically an old motel that was very nicely renovated. The pool was stuck out on the end of the parking lot and seemed like an afterthought.
Review 67:I had read the reviews of this hotel online and seen pictures, so the inside was exactly what I expected - very well-renovated. The staff was amazing. Really friendly and helpful. And they bring complimentary breakfast (parfait and pastries w juice) to your room. That was a nice touch.
Review 68:l'hôtel est certes un peu excentré de la ville, mais le restaurant attenant est succulent (le meilleur de notre voyage de 3 semaines aux US)
Review 69:la chambre, la piscine, le petit déjeuner, et le restaurant attenant
Review 70:I'll come back in March or April, not June. It was definitely too hot for me, but the hotel can't do anything about that. Air-conditioning and pool were fine relief.
Review 71:Nice and very clean rooms, friendly staff, beautiful view from the room and from the pool and hot tub. If passing through St. George, I will definitely come back.
Review 72:Very noisy air-con, either very cold or off Strange breakfast (cinnamon role, yoghurt with fruits and orange juice) delivered to your bedroom, not possible to eat at restaurant
Review 73:Great location with a beautiful view over St. George Modern room Excellent bed Very good restaurant for lunch and dinner
Review 74:At first glance and from a distance this looks like a cheap motel. As soon as I opened the door though, I could see it had been gutted and completely redone. It was modern, well-appointed and clean. Will definitely stay here again!
Review 75:The noise from people racing cars on the airport strip right next to the place.
Review 76:We enjoyed the amenities, such as the flat screen television, free wifi, mini fridge, modern-looking room and especially the balcony!
Review 77:If anybody has a single complaint about this hotel, they have problems!El Perfecto!
Review 78:I was hoping for a hotel with a nice pool and hot tub that we couldenjoy with our two boys. We never get vacation, so when we finally got achance to get away, we left. We found this little gem, and aresooooooooo glad we did. This is the most I have relaxed since myHoneymoon almost ten years ago. Beautiful scenery, very comfortablehotel, fun pool and hot tub overlooking the valley. They had a cutelittle gift for my boys when we arrived and a nice storybook for them.
Review 79:The temperature of the room would not stay regulated. It was hot one minute and freezing the next.
Review 80:Excellent location, breathtaking view, friendly staff.
Review 81:The only experience that was not perfect was that I had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to come to the reception as my arrival was after midnight.
Review 82:Clean room, beautiful bathroom, great view, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and nice privacy on the balcony.
Review 83:Boutique style not geared for longer staying guests with lots of luggage. The large and small fake plants got moved to balcony & under A/C. The fridge needs ventilation in the cabinet door as food doesn't stay cold due to heat from fridge unit. Full length mirror needed as never saw what an outfit looked like below the waist unless I stood on the bathtub. The complex needs an ice machine. Still a great place.
Review 84:The view amazing. The bed most comfortable I've slept on at a property in a long time. The staff friendly & accommodating. We had a wonderful time.
Review 85:The A/C is not efficient. Was either too hot or too cold. And the sink had a yucky smell coming from the plumbing. Dined at the restaurant one evening and although the view was beautiful the food wasn't great. Was very disappointed.
Review 86:Loved the rooms decor, cleanliness, and comfort. Bed was very comfortable with different pillow options. The private patio was great. Loved the large flatscreen TV. And the pool and jacuzzi were awesome (great view)!
Review 87:Everything! Great location with fabulous views . The room was modern and the bed was the most comfortable yet during our American tour. Lovely breakfast delivered to your room when required, great pool and sun loungers
Review 88:Having breakfast delivered was great although I would get bored with the same breakfast every morning of cinnamon rolls with fruit and yogurt. I asked for fruit without yogurt on top and they gave me a tiny amt of fruit in a glass, I sort of expected more fruit.
Review 89:View was great, pool was nice and the room was wonderful and modern and very clean!
Review 90:Just an FYI make sure that everyone knows if they use Netflix Vudu Prime, etc that they sign out of their accounts as when I turned on Netflix it was already signed into someone account. That is the only thing that i think that customers should be informed about other then that I would highly recommend it.
Review 91:Very limited storage space. This is a remodel of an old motel. The owners have done a great job, but there is limited room for baggage.
Review 92:Very enthusiastic staff. Resturaunt is excellent.
Review 93:We had rooms on the bottom floor and the people above were very loud….thin ceiling….could hear them even walking above. Ask for a second floor room…..
Review 94:Very clean, friendly staff, fabulous view….
Review 95:Everything was incredible. I would suggest cream for coffee in the morning instead of creamer.
Review 96:The service was amazing. Everyone was very accommodating. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and great food.
Review 97:1. Plastic plants in the room 2. no elevator for 2nd floor rooms.
Review 98:The view is incredible and the room is superb as advertised. We drove here from Las Vegas on our way to Zion and Bryce after a long flight from the eastern USA. Perfect resting spot.
Review 99:We had to wait over 40 minutes for our breakfast the following morning. I fault the restaurant next door that was having major issues we surmised from our dinner the night before. Awful.
Review 100:We loved the staff. There was a young man when we arrived and later a young lady. Both were wonderful. They made us feel welcome and were very people oriented and helpful.
Review 101:My daughter wasn't feeling well so we typically didn't leave the room until noon everyday so the daily maid service were not available.
Review 102:Very nice setting in St George with amazing view
Review 103:the only 'complaint' I have is that I cannot rate this higher than 10!
Review 104:What a great concept! Each room with a balcony, modern looking room with a great bed and a great HD tv and plenty of cable channels, fast Wi-Fi. Room service breakfast, very cool. Fantastic restaurant. All of the staff in the hotel and restaurant were friendly, helpful and cheerful. I really liked that an extra coffee or water in the room was not treated like you were asking for the moon.Hats off to the owner! Well done! If you want to be treated like a king, or have a special occasion, you will want to stay here. This will be the experience we measure all other hotels against.
Review 105:Nothing
Review 106:Spent a night here on our way to California from Colorado. As others have stated, the view is absolutely fantastic. We left the curtains open all night and let the city lights be our night light. The room was nice....up-to-date decor, bathroom has been remodeled, and the tv is huge. Didn't get to try the restaurant since they were closed for a special event. Breakfast was great....no hassling with trying to get a bowl of cereal or some toast while other residents are jockeying for the coffee machine...nope, they brought a great yogurt cup with fruit and granola and a fantastic cinnamon roll pull apart muffin to the room. Coffee maker in the room completed breakfast while we finished our packing. Room Tip: Second floor is best if you don't mind schlepping your bag up the stairs.
Review 107:The view, decor/style, cleanliness, the friendly staff and the food at their restaurant are all reasons I would recommend this hotel and return for another stay.
Review 108:Very strong air freshener smell on arrival. Over done.
Review 109:Bed felt like floating on a cloud.Nicely decorated room. Hot tub was wonderful at night and showed a view of the city.
Review 110:The one downside is that the "complimentary breakfast" was fairly small and lackluster. You get a glass of orange juice, a pretty small yogurt parfait, and some pretty unhealthy-looking cinnamon bun. It's not exactly the breakfast of champions. A small cereal box with some milk would have been a bit more consistent.
Review 111:The view is really terrific. There are few things comparable to soaking in a hot tub while overseeing a majestic landscape from the edge of a cliff. The beds were great. Heating system worked well. Balconies on the units were a nice touch. Lastly, the service was fantastic.
Review 112:You need a luggage rack. The big pointed plant fit the decor, but I convent place. Hard to avoid pointed leaves while moving around the room.
Review 113:Beautiful view. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Review 114:NA
Review 115:I took a trip to Zion National Park, this was a great staging point. Room was quiet super clean, with a great view, The free little breakfast was beautifully presented and quite good. A nice touch. I felt respected for being a quest
Review 116:- Looks great in the pictures, but everything is cheap plastic.Even the nice wall. Feels like it is made to look nice only for the pictures. - Definitely not work the money as it is on the expensive side.
Review 117:- Great view over St George - Friendly staff - Nice bathroom - Nice hot tub (also with nice view) - Comfortable bed
Review 118:I felt the grounds around the place could have been landscaped. It was just dirt and needed some landscaping.
Review 119:I loved the view of the valley and having my own balcony.
Review 120:My main problem, and it really impacted negatively on my enjoyment, was with the thin floors/ ceiling- the sound in your room really disturbs you if you have neighbours above you. I did, and they decided to come back at midnight, walk loudly around their room, shouting and laughing, and having showers/ running water until 1am. This meant I had a terrible night's sleep. Also, I would suggest, for a place which does well on most customers details, there should be a little more consistency in expectations; for example, why have breakfast delivered to the room, but expect guests to come to the front desk to collect the pool towel. Just little points, that if tweaked would make a big difference.
Review 121:The location was great in terms of the view. Generally the staff was friendly and welcoming, and they were kind enough to leave a small surprise in my mum's room for her birthday.
Review 122:No complaints
Review 123:Friendly, helpful staff, clean, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was really nice, the pastry were excelant. Would have loved to sit on the balcony , a little chilly Dec 23,2014. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 124:One side of the bed had no night stand. Not a deal breaker but a hassle
Review 125:The view from our room was amazing. The room was very clean and well decorated. Very nice
Review 126:Loved the individual private balcony, and the room felt very spacious. The little things, like the delivered breakfast and water already chilled in the fridge.
Review 127:There really wasn't anything that we disliked about out stay
Review 128:Great views Wonderful staff Great town And enjoyed the company of my wife of 22 years
Review 129:The room was new and wonderfully decorated, breakfast to go was yummy, dinner at night was fine dining. However being up on the cliff allowed a feeling of wonder that should not be missed.
Review 130:This was the best place on our three week tour in the States and the service provided has been 6 star, not only in staff efficiency and friendliness but also in customer service pre and post visit. Highly recommended
Review 131:The tub needs reglazing and toilet seat should be replaced. Minor things but they stood out against the rest of the decor.
Review 132:The room and bed were comfortable and luxurious with an amazing view. The staff were all friendly. Breakfast was delivered to room.
