Review 1：The room was clean but had a very strong smell, like someone had sprayed tons of glade all over. Chemical smells make me sick,and the strong smell lasted for hours. Even with the window opened, the smell did not go away. The front desk said that others had been uncomfortable, and unfortunately every room smelled like that, so changing rooms wouldn't help. They are hoping to change their cleaning products, but waiting for corporate approval.

Review 11：Carpet in hallways and in room were dirty and shabby. Alot of "shady" people seem to hang around in the parking lot. We stayed three nights and every single day and night there were "shady" people hanging around. Walls a very thin, as well. Noisy hallways.
Review 12：Property is located right next to the I-10 freeway yet complicated to find and get to because its hidden in an area thats not a"typical" location. There is no freeway exit that takes you right to the hotel. However,once you figure out how to get there, it's a good location. Quiet street.
Review 13：our room was not that clean. bathtub had a old bath mat that was peeling off and dirty in tub. sink had mold around handle. ice bucket was dirty. carpet was not vacuumed and dirty. chairs had crumbs and handprint stains on seats and on outside of refrigerator.

Review 15：Difficult to find but the streets of Tempe don't make sense at all. Anyway after all that frustration, arrived to have them tell me they only had one of 2 rooms I booked. The manager or assistant manager telling me I didn't book 2 rooms when I showed her my booking confirmation. She said if I made the booking through booking.com, its not their problem and that booking.com probably made a mistake. She said they were overbooked and couldn't help me. Told me to call booking.com to find me 2 rooms somewhere else. I refused to budge and asked the young lady who was helping me initially to check again. She finally found my reservation for the 2nd room but I was not happy with the manager, how she tried to push us out of the place. Probably thinking she can sell my rooms for a better price to walkins. They also woke us at the wrong time the next morning and the cab they booked us didn't show and there was no reservation according to the cab company. We ended up having to make our way there ourselves. Also, the rooms were smelling of cigarette smoke even though they were non smoking.
Review 16：the place needs a bit of a face lift. water has been leaking from the upstairs room as there was rust on the door jam in the bathroom the light switch for the bed light located between the two beds was almost impossible to turn. I had to get out of bed to turn off the light. Hey it's old. Just a couple of little things but nothing that would make be not come back...John

Pictures of hotel shows microwave and mini fridge, they said only available in selected rooms. I guess mine was not selected. Owe I could hear the guy in the next room.

Review 28：You need to have a car if you stay here. Whilst the hotel itself is pretty good there are no restaurants or shops within reasonable walking distance. It is almost a 50 minute walk to the downtown area which is manageable but not really convenient.

Review 34：A young 10 to 12 years old boy relative of the desk clerk was panhandling in the lobby shirtless late in the evening about 11pm. He was with a couple of his friends or relatives. It was not a deal breaker, just kind of weird.
Review 35：We had 1 hour wait due to shortage of cleaning staff. Then bathroom floor and tub had not been cleaned. Hairs left behind. Next morning we asked the bathroom to be cleaned. They folded a hand towel over the tub with a bar of soap in it. The floor still not swept or mopped.

A warning for those that are driving or will have a car, the hotel doesn't have enough parking to accommodate all guests and they do not have anywhere as overflow. We had to go to the hotel next door and ask them to allow us to park there so we wouldn't get towed. The staff didn't seem to care that it was a problem. Also, the elevators were broken during our stay. Three male employees watched our group of girls struggle up the stairs with our luggage and did not offer to help.

Review 81：Checked in with a grumpy staff. Went to my room and found half eaten donuts, an open tissue back and overall not good. I went to the lady and asked if she charged extra for the donuts. Made her even grumpier. She gave me another room... that already had someone in it... quite a surprise for both of us. When I complained she threatened to cancel my reservation and send me elsewhere. 3rd time was a charm and my 2 boys and I enjoyed a clean room. Nasty poor experience with front desk lady.

Review 88：I requested a fan and it was already in the room when we checked in. Upon check-in, I asked for the bedspreads to be changed, and boom! Done! The shower had the curved curtain rod for more room and also had good water pressure. The pool was clean and refreshing. I felt more secure with the rooms accessed from inside the building instead of the doors opening to the outside. The refrigerator and microwave were very convenient as we brought our own food and drinks. We were there for three days and the managers remembered my name and were very personable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
