Review 1：The place was absolutely disgusting. I had rented it as a last resort since the cheaper, better, and more spacious cabins in the area had been booked out, I figured it wouldn’t be as bad as it was. Boy was I wrong! When we first arrived to the cabin after our check in, I notice the stairs are covered in dirt and mold. After making out way up the filthy stairs and entering our cabin, we begin to notice things just aren’t the way they described online. For one, the couch that was pictured was no longer a couch, but a nasty old futon, which three of the posts, that hold the mattress, were broken. Along with that the hinge on it was bent as well as broken. After folding it out once, it never returned to the upright position. Not only that, but the “luxury jacuzzi tub,” that we paid so much to have in this room, had a hole in it, thus rendering it useless. Try as I might to make the best of this place, little thing after little thing just kept popping up: Only having two forks, the kitchen not providing a single roll of paper towels, sponge or a baking pan, the claw marks left on the bed frame by another couple, the lack of cleaning. Ever last thing was just miserable when it came to cleanliness. I kid you not, a full inch of grease on the oven bottom. And our bathroom door looked like a frat house urinal. To top off all of the things I cleaned while I was there, the water was hellaciously hot. I mean almost boiling coming out of the tap, I burned myself on multiple occasions. I finally stopped cleaning and decided to sit down, only to receive a nail in the back as I caught myself from falling, the chair I sat in was broken, the nails exposed and the back boards falling out. To top off the whole stay, the entire cabin started to shake and wobble when the couple in the cabin connected to ours started to have their romantic evening. This place was a nightmare.

Review 3：We really enjoyed being by the river. Our room was one of the closest to the river. Very close to Helen as far as walking distance. Bed was very comfy and we enjoyed our stay. There were a few things that could have worked better. But overall a very good stay.
Review 4：You won't find the type of hotel in this town that you're used to getting for $150 unless you pay $300. The pictures make it look cleaner and swankier than it really is. Not sure if it's worth the extra money over the super cheap motels down the street.

Very friendly staff, extremely clean, I was offered a choice between firm or soft mattress, I was brought fresh towels daily, and the decor had a very comfy right at home feel to it. I would definitely recommend the Riverbend motel to anyone planning a trip to Helen.

Review 24：The staff was rude and barely spoke english. The exterior of the building is run down and is supremely over priced. I booked online. When I arrived it looked like a run down motel you see in horror flicks. The rooms were dressed up for the photos online and are completely unrealistic. When i arrived the male attendant wouldn't let me see the room until I paid the fees, which inclufed added an unfamiliar fee added in he called a booking fee. I wanted to believe he was honest snd genuine, plus i wanted to trust that what i saw online was what i would be given, so i gave him my CC. When I finally got to take a look at the room on the 3rd floor it was dusty, smelt like musk, had a hole in the floor that i almosy twisted my ankle on because they had covered it over with a rug. I went in the bathroom only to find pubic hairs left on the toilet seat. I found a molded coffee pot that was broken and still had old dried up coffee in it. When I asked if there were any other rooms available I was denied and forced to stay because he had already taken my payment and i was on a budget. All in all i felt unwelcomed, just another bank deposit in his account, and filthy. I will NEVER stay there again. And I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. This is the worst place I have ever stayed.
Review 25：I'm a spoiled bratt!! I like a full kitchen. Doesn't have to be big, just complete. The room is small, has a small fridge and a microwave. Not bad just too small.
Review 26：Perfect location and beautiful scenery. Close to all the activity, (walking distance to everything) but far away enough to keep the noise to a minimum. The river was what you can hear at night.

Review 39：Reservation was lost. Replaced with 2 queen beds. We couldn't sleep together. Their website said our room was $99. Our bill was around $140. They claimed it was their webmaster's fault, that the price was not right. Bugs. No phone. Cracked sink. No good plugins for electronics. Mold around door. Scratch marks around bathroom door (from pets). No phone. TV not clear. Internet low signal. It is not handicapped accessible. Lots of stairs! There is a ramp, but it would still be difficult. Too far from the main attractions to walk anywhere if you are older or have trouble getting around. VERY disappointed..

The vent in the bathroom was not fully attached to the celling, the open end was angled toward the toilet (?). Not the accommodations my wife was comfortable in. The cabin was just as the pictures very quaint, clean, equipped with any needs, and a great location literally 400 yards from main street, an easy walk. Our back balcony faced the woods and the creek, perfect for privacy.

Review 63：My family just visited Helen for our annual trip. This year, we decided to get a motel room in town instead of the usual cabin we usually go for. We couldn't have made a better choice. This motel is tucked right in the heart of town, within walking distance to everywhere you would want to visit and right next to the Chattahoochee River. The owner, Mark, went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our visit. While checking in, he made several suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to dine in. He even went as far as to ask what style mattress we preferred, soft or firm and picked the room that best fit our needs. Lastly, you cannot beat the value of this motel. We booked on booking.com and saved a little money, but even if we had paid full price it would have been worth every penny. Needless to say, next time we're in town, we already know where we'll be staying!
Review 64：I booked a chalet right on the river, but when we arrived there wasn't one available, but we did get to stay in a house. It was not on the river like we wanted though. I also paid way to much for what it was worth.

Review 109：First of the restroom tub had about 5 hairs on the floor, the same wentfor the toilet seat and the sink. The owner tried to kick us out a dayahead instead of calling just knocked on the door once waited outsidefor five min and just came in seriosuly didn't you hear us say wait!The television kept on turning off randomly

Review 122：The maid services were either super early or super late. It was a bit of an inconvenience. The free wifi didn't reach our room. The toilets constantly ran and you could hear the showers in the room next door, which were so loud you couldn't hear yourself think.
