Reviews for Victoria Nui Sam Lodge

Review 1:Not enough entertaiment and facilities. this Hotel if offer more Sports , Indoor games pool tables, Gym , Swimming pool , dance club . Hang gliding , Parachuting ,... would attract more tourists to stay longer

Review 2:The room & the view

Review 3:The room was not clean. Under the pillow I found some papers, under the bed there was a lot of dust. It's a pity because the hotel is amazing. You need to ask when you arrive to clean it again

Review 4:I really like this hotel, it is situated on a hill from where you can see an amazing panorama 360^. The swimming pool is very nice, there is a nice big space around it. The restaurant is very good quality

Review 5:Compared to other hotels in Southeast Asia foreign language skills of staff should be better.

Review 6:Absolutely stunning views of the surrounding country side. Fantastic pool area. Beautiful grounds, great food.

Review 7:Decoration a little tired in rooms.

Review 8:Spectacular location. Good sized room and terrace. Lovely pool. Very helpful staff. 2 for 1 drinks deal. Shuttle service. Delicious food. Health trail.

Review 9:The shower was too low which did me break the soap thing (only small issue)

Review 10:1- the view = wow!!! The poolview = wower! 2- the friendlyness in the reception - restaurant 3- room - wifi - shuttle bus and the breakfast was really mmmmm!

Review 11:It was the time of the year that they burn the remainings in the rice fields and there was a lot of smoke that made it unpleasant to stay outside and enjoy the swimming pool

Review 12:We had a great time in Victoria Nui Sam. The staff were very helpful and the place was of a quite high standard. We were quite surprised the 1st night to walk back to the room and find the mosquito net down and the air con on! It is not in Chau Doc but there is a shuttle bus a few times a day that drops you off in the the Victoria Chau Doc hotel. Alternatively you can get a motorbike taxi and pay £1.00 for the ride!

Review 13:Some noisy party was going on somewhere down the hill. And dinner at the hotel is more for European stomachs than the ones who want to experience Asian food.

Review 14:Very welcoming personal and just perfect location in top of the hill so all rice field are perfectly seen from the room's balcony. Interesting layout of the hotel.

Review 15:The English pronounciation of the stuff should be increased. Communication often was interrupted because of miss understanding. But with a smile everything is forgotten quiet soon.

Review 16:Architecture of the hotel and the view on the ricefields are wonderful. Disponibility of solutionfinding from the stuff was superb. The breakfast buffet offers a big choice and after 3 month travelling in asia, we enjoyed the cheese and salami with croissants like in Paris

Review 17:Many mosquitoes at the swimming pool, wish the hotel had a mosquito repellent.

Review 18:Swimming, watching a spectacular sunset, having an amazing cocktail, breathing fresh aromas of forest and viewing a massive paddy fields from the mountain... all happened to us at the same time and which beats anyone's expectation and memorable evening for a lifetime. Staff is extremely well trained and nice in Vietnamese standards. Room was clean and loved the bath gel (very special aroma)

Review 19:The card used for reservation on booking.com was charged days before my stay, not just pre-authorised like mentioned in the reservation. Also, I guess because of this, it was very hard to get a receipt of payment when checking out...the staff was reluctant to provide any invoice like any other hotel would do... Restaurant was good but overpriced.

Review 20:for me this place was worth it, if for the view alone. We were in Sunset hill, quite high up and enjoyed a beautiful evening.

Review 21:would be nice to have mosquito nets on windows (at least on one) otherwise in the night a/c is the only option

Review 22:pool is extremely nice, warm enough water (which seems to be rare in the region), view is beating all expectations, paddy fields are green even at the end of december

Review 23:It's about a 15 minute drive into town. There is a free shuttle between this property and the Victoria Chau Doc.

Review 24:The property is stunning, terraced on a hill overlooking rice paddies in all directions. It is a teaching hotel, training program for the Victoria hotel employees, so sometimes the English is a little lacking. But the staff is absolutely charming and eager to assist. There's a great little health hike on the grounds too. Highly recommended!

Review 25:Remote location. Shuttlebus not always available. Scedule is farce! No shop. Menu in restaurant is too limited. No shadow by pool and on terraces. A litle too formal and a litle dull. Painful miscommunication about the bill. (Unspecified and extra charge of 10 percent for services and 5 procent for taxes. French management with couverts etc. and much frustation about unreliable information about transportation. Needs improvement. Not rwalistic anymore in this century.

Review 26:Stunning view, beautiful room, good bed and bathroom. On first night from 4 prepared for the night. Evenso the fresh fruitbasket. Good breakfast, helpful and polite staff, good restaurant, nice swimmingpool.

Review 27:That' we only stayed on night. Also if you have mobility issues ask for a room near the main reception/restaurant.

Review 28:Wow!, what a setting, fabulous view over the Mekong delta with a beautiful sunset to boot. Lovely little bungalows on the side of the hill. Infinity pool, helpful and attentive staff. This is supposedly the training hotel for the Victoria group, but everyone seemed very competent to us. The hotel is a little out of town but worth the 10 minute transfer from the main Victoria hotel on the river.

Review 29:We were in Chau Doc only to get the boat to Cambodia from there. Quite unexpectedly however, in stead of merely a stopover, we enjoyed a day and evening at this hotel! Wish we had booked 2 nights in stead of one.

Review 30:Not much. Perhaps the rooms are a little small and it is a bit on the inaccessible side, but this can be overcome with planning.

Review 31:most things about this hotel are worth praise, particularly the views which would be hard to beat anywhere in the world, stunning. The food, the service and the staff are way up there with the best. The cooking course was great.

Review 32:Nothing it was amazing

Review 33:This is a stunning hotel with views from the mountain which are incredible. The rooms are out of this world the bathrooms are fabulous. As a training hotel for the Victoria group the staff were a little apprehensive and their English was a little basic which made the whole experience even more rewarding. We took the opportunity to do a cooking course with our group of four. It was extremely well organised and enjoyable and then we had the pleasure of meeting Many of the staff and managers of Victoria hotels in Chau Doc. Who simply added to our delight at then discovering we were the first ever people to do the cookery course at that hotel. The views over the delta are amazing and getting up to see the sunrise was spectacular. We can not recommend this hotel highly enough and you simply must do the cookery course.

Review 34:I paid by VISA Credit card and right now after one week i am come back home, they have used my credit card to charge about 50$ without my permission neither sending an email of explaination! This is not professional! Food - nothing special

Review 35:Location

Review 36:Staff Low skill in English Dinner in Restaurant not as ww expect because of the Hotel

Review 37:Situation in a quiet place Breakfast Swimming pool Mountain bike Private Shuttle transfer to de centre with a special price for guests

Review 38:Staff are in training for the Victoria Hotel chain throughout Cambodia and Vietnam, so service and food quality can be a little "interesting" but overall they try hard so not a major when compared to the benefits.

Review 39:LOCATION! The views are superb and if you only have a limited time in the Mekong this place will satisfy. From it's beautiful location atop the sacred mountain, Nui Sam, you enjoy uninterrupted views of rice fields, villages, temples, rivers, mountains. It's close to the Cambodia-Vietnam border. hotel has bikes for hire so you can enjoy a lovely bike ride around the surrounding area. Easy walk to the summit of Nui Sam an excellent way to start the day. Swimming pool beautiful. Rooms lovely.

Review 40:Best hotel ever. The victoria hotels are an amazing chain in vietnam. They are top quality and usually very expensive. This one is used as their training facility, thats why its affordable. The views are simply amazing. And the food was one of the freshest in vietnam, from their own garden. Super cute staff. And again, the views breathtaking. We are in hue by now and still miss this hotel! You should really go!

Review 41:A wonderful way to relax after a long but amazing boat ride from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc. Great views, great view, all in all just great!

Review 42:Amazing location

Review 43:Wonderful stay in Nui Sam lodge. The location is awesome and rooms are great. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool with fantastic view.

Review 44:From the bus station the bus included with the bus ticket does not carry you up the hill, you must hike on it or call the hotel

Review 45:they should give the sandals for free!!

Review 46:the rocky mountain and the rice field view is perfect.

Review 47:nothing

Review 48:view, bed, everything

Review 49:Room a bit basic

Review 50:Views and pool

Review 51:Room was really large and centrally located.

Review 52:Unfriendly staffs; bad system air conditions; old modern TV and poor network with cable

Review 53:Beautiful view and nice swimming pool

Review 54:Everything!

Review 55:A few mosquitos. No other negatives

Review 56:View superb. Very comfortable. Great food.

Review 57:Everything. The staff was very friendly and efficient, but their English was not good enough.

Review 58:Bad sewerage smell in room

Review 59:Beautiful Hotel amazing view great staff

Review 60:The view was breath taking, the pool excellent, the staff and food great, recommend to anyone!

Review 61:Dull breakfast - apart from freshly cooked omlettes by excellent chef No pool bar staff available for food and drink orders Shuttle bus transfer to Chau Doc timings

Review 62:Beautiful location Attentive and charming staff Lovely pool setting

Review 63:Crazy mini bar prices - even for a resort hotel. Bland food - we only ate once.

Review 64:Wonderful location. Charming young staff despite poor English they try so hard to assist and advise.

Review 65:Just a thought - smooth background european music in lobby area, butcould try some local meditation music

Review 66:Location and way up the hill with moto, fabulous view from pool and ownbalcony, excellent pool, very nice rooms, very helpful staff and theylet us use pool after service hours, thanks for that + pineapple jamwith dragonfruit

Review 67:There are quite a few mosquitoes at night. the staff provide mosquito repellant and there are nets but you can get seriously munched if not careful.

Review 68:The location is very secinc, halfway up Nui Sam mountain. The view is spectacular and the rooms are very pretty, each with its own courtyard and view. I would rate this over the Victoria Chau Doc. I really liked the young people working there - they are trainees and eager to help you - they may not always get it right but they are very keen to learn and are giving it their all.

Review 69:The location is just lovely, so beautiful. If we had known we would have stayed 2 nights instead of one. As they are helping the community by giving young people around the area the opportunity to work in the hotel and providing English classes the service is not always excellent but they will do everything to help you. Absolutely recommand this hotel.

Review 70:The view from both the outdoor restaurant and the well-designed pool area is absolutely stunning.
