Review 1：The outside of the building may look a bit dodgy, but don't let that discourage you.
Review 2：The new rooms are and look great, nice big bed and shower. Location is perfect, restauants and bars closeby
Review 3：the carpet, blankets and sheets were disgusting. The shower wasn't clean enough to shower in and some of the lighting fixtures were broken so the lighting was terrible.

Review 5：My flight arrived late and the motel office was locked when I arrived at11:00 pm. Ringing the doorbell at the night window produced no response.I noticed a sign there with the Manager's phone number foremergencies. He arrived quickly and resolved my check-in problem - avery friendly guy. I did notice the sign with his number was removedwhen I tried to help another customer with a similar check-in problemI noticed 2 dead cockroaches on the floor of my room and the TV had no remote control. On the other hand, the cockroaches WERE dead, and the TV was so close to the bed that changing channels from the set top box wasn't much of an issue. The ice machine was dead and probably passed away a long time ago. Oh well.... The pool was completely filled with sand. I had to laugh as it reminded me of all the effort I spent trying to keep my pool clean after the dust storms when I lived in the Arizona desert. There is no daily maid service at this motel. If you want clean sheets, bath towels, or toilet paper, you have to ask after ringing the bell at the night window, as there is rarely anyone in the motel office. Personally, I didn't mind NOT being disturbed by a motel maid. In summary, despite its warts, I slept well, was well located, and saved a significant amount of money by staying here.
Review 6：I came to Tempe to attend my daughter's graduation. I chose thismotel because it was close to the Wells Fargo Arena, the site of theceremony. It was also within walking distance of many off campusrestaurants. I realized quality of the motel would be low, but Iwasn't planning to spend much time there. I just wanted acomfortable place to sleep. Fortunately, the mattress and pillowfirmness matched my own bed so I slept well. The a)/c, while noisy,drowned out the street noise on Mill Avenue.
Review 7：Try everything. The shower was completely disgusting and reminded me of a horror scene from the shining. The floors was gross the night side lamps didn't work smal closet space spots on the wall. I swear if I had a black light i feel like the room would glow. I know I rated my stay fair which is giving it more than what it's worth but that's because the stay was extremely friendly or high and the bed was ridiculously comfortable which we didn't expect, but for 66 a night I would expect better but your pretty much paying for location more than anything else because the bars where right up the street. But seriously there are way better hotels with kitchenettes and a living room for 50 bucks a night go there.
Review 8：The only good thing about our stay was the king size bed we almost didn't get because the staff thought it better to give us an cleaner room although it was small. Even though I appreciate their thought we wanted a king size bed. Oh and the air conditioning work it got the room cold and kept it cold for the entire stay.

Review 13：The first room I checked into, the door-frame was duct-taped on. With a hard push, anyone could enter the room. I asked to be relocated to another room. The next room was "non-smoking" but stunk of smoke. The shower was covered in black mold.

Review 27：Room was so dirty. Lots of hair, dust were in the room. Carpet was dumb. There were huge cockroaches in the tub! I couldn't stand to stay there. Just cheap, no worth to pay. Airconditioning was working but the controller was broken. Workers seemed to be nice and freindly, but it was not a hotel man's attitude. I have stayed many hotels in many countries. Here was the worst hotel ever.

Review 60：It's owned by a very nice, accommodating family. They're very welcoming people. They didn't have a water dispenser for anytime use, and they didn't mind at all that whenever I asked for water, they would refill my water for me (or even give me new bottles when I didn't have mine). The owner was kind enough to even drive me to the airport because I had so much stuff to carry from a conference I was attending. They really try their best to keep things simple and adequate for everyone, and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The place was good for the money you put in - all you really need is a bed and bathroom because you're not going to live in your hotel room. It doesn't need to be fancy. I normally don't write reviews, but I was really impressed by their hospitality. I highly, highly, highly recommend them.
Review 61：The Inn is an old building and as such does not have the modern conveniences or ambiance of surrounding upscale hotels but it's obvious the owners take great pains to maintain the building, grounds, plumbing, HVAC and basic " someplace to hang your hat" comfort.
Review 62：Convenience of location to planned activities, restaurants, services and entertainment in Downtown Tempe and ASU...all within walking distance. The room was small, basic, no frills but very clean and everything worked.
Review 63：Be prepared to look at the room before you agree to take it. My first room was literally right on University, I asked for a quiet room, changed to the only other available, 212. The smell was so bad from smoking and other things that it stung my eyes, I am not a picky person so I decided to stick it out. The phone had no buttons, bulb missing from bathroom, unpainted wall patches, opened up the door to try to air it out and a feral cat kept coming in, no screens, old candy and stuff on the floor, hairs on the bath counter, the pool is empty or almost and disgusting and tiny, this is the smallest room I have ever seen
