Reviews for Kapelhoeve
Review 1:Room was really cold on arrival, would have been great if was pre warmed or heating was left on at a minimum. No shower curtain in case you want to have a shower and extractor fan was not working in the bathroom.
Review 2:Hotel was very clean and contemporary, we arrived very late and the owner was very accommodating. We had a pleasant stay and the breakfast was nice!
Review 3:WiFi signal in the room was practically unusable. We were told we could just take bikes out - only at check-out were we told that there was a fee associated with borrowing bikes. It would also be nice if there were staff around in the evening to operate the bar - we would have spent more money in the hotel if someone were on duty beyond the early evening.
Review 4:The setting is amazing, in a very quiet rural environment, but with easy access to the town of De Haan. The room was very comfortable. Availability of bikes was a nice touch. Pool and sauna were a wonderful bonus.
Review 5:The beautiful rural location, the style and comfort of the hotel and the excellent swimming pool. In spite of the location, you're still within easy reach of De Haan, Ostend, Zeebrugge.
Review 6:Would have liked somewhere to sit in evening as door to reception/lounge was locked in evening.
Review 7:Set in countryside so very quiet. Very clean and well kept property.
Review 8:Room 3 could have had a shower curtain to avoid flooding the bathroom floor. Evening dinner was good but drinks were expensive. We purchased drinks but our request for tap water was refused. We were told that in Belgium only bottled water was served although a local restaurant did provide tap water.
Review 9:Breakfast, especially home made jams, lovely fresh bread and good selection of meat, cheese, etc. Warm swimming pool with soft towels, hair drier and calming music. Comfortable beds. Everywhere was spotless with much thought given to decor. Lovely location just outside De Haan, the best resort along the coast. We disagree with comments about the unfriendly receptionist. She was helpful and ready to give information.
Review 10:nothing to dislike
Review 11:The house was a charming old converted flemish farmhouse in a quiet polder 2km from the sea. the young couple who ran the hotel were very charming and helpful. The food was all home made, including fabulous bread, croissants and jam at breakfast. We will certainly go again
Review 12:a bit pricey
Review 13:very friendly staff Isolated but still well located = perfect retreat after a busy week in Brussels Super clean
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:Dinner was lovely
Review 16:This hotel is a tastefully converted farm close to De Haan. The rooms modern and cosy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast.
Review 17:long way from shops or center town could be a little bit better with the breakfast no shower contain !
Review 18:quite clean friendly many languages
Review 19:- No shower curtain - Going to the pool requires to cross the restaurant room + 1 single small room to change clothes
Review 20:- Comfy bed & room in general - Great food for dinner & breakfast
Review 21:We stayed in the junior suite which was a misleading title for that level of accommodation, especially for that price. No bath tub, plastic shower, empty fridge and relatively small room. The sauna and pool are not open all day.
Review 22:Friendly staff Off the beaten track Good breakfast
Review 23:A bit too quiete at the evenings. Nead to drive to the beach area to have an after dinner drink.
Review 24:Nice pool and quite environment Near to the beach Small hotel but no B&B
Review 25:For a single traveller it's a bit expensive.
Review 26:Very peaceful - in the middle of a field - in lovely converted farm
