Reviews for Trianon Bonita Bay Hotel

Review 1:No cell service from AT&T unless you go near the window. My $200,000 car got water spots from the irrigation heads all over although I was parked more that 3 feet from the landscaping. TV channels were hit or miss. Sometimes you can access then they all go out. Frustrating if you are watching TV. Mold in the shower. Have to pay for coffee?? Other than that it was OK.

Review 2:Location and close to restaurants across the street. Room was fairly clean and comfortable.

Review 3:Check-in time of 4pm is inconvenient for us. Wish it were 3pm. Very high rates. At these rates I expect a complimentary continental breakfast. The fact that I had to pay for coffee and a bagel seems to me to be a shameless money grab.

Review 4:Upscale and comfortable. Very pleasant.

Review 5:no extras coffeeand anyother foods werepaid only, breakfast was paid only,we killed a roach in the bathroom and the clerk gave no indication of a lower rate or concern for this problem !

Review 6:close to shopping and downtown

Review 7:I travel to Bonita Springs very often for business and the Trianon there is hands down my favorite place to stay. Clean rooms, great staff, beautiful grounds and a very nice lakeside restaurant/bar complete the experience. A best kept secret.

Review 8:The beds were a little to firm and the pillows were way to mushy. I hadthe worst nights sleep there. I travel with my own pillow and I neededanother firm pillow. I ended up using all of the pillows on the bed.

Review 9:I loved the shops across the street.

Review 10:Hotel was old and I had to clean the shower before use and was disgusted as the grout was turning black from mold. Outdated light fixures and curtains.

Review 11:Tempur Pedicure Bed

Review 12:We love this hotel, this was our fourth stay. The staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous, the ambiance and rooms are elegant yet comfortable, and the location makes a great place to stay while doing various day trips. Jeff at the front desk is especially welcoming and helpful. The staff will make a reservation for you at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion in the shopping plaza next door, which is always excellent. Don't miss it!

Review 13:They need to replace the refrigerators in the rooms, if mine was any indication, as it started up and stopped with a "clunk" each time making it difficult to maintain any kind of a sleep pattern.

Review 14:Have been staying here on and off for some 20 years now. Great location, large rooms, nice pool, lake views and next to a handy bar/restaurant and up scale shopping mall.

Review 15:You have to pay for breakfast, a continental breakfast. The comfortable seating on the porch in the back is gone, replaced with dining table and chairs.

Review 16:Rooms spacious, a little dated, a/c works well. Bathroom well stocked, spacious and clean. Great discount for off season.

Review 17:Free breakfast no longer, now continental buffet $7.00. per person. Possibly as a result we had the buffet to ourselves most mornings. Also the bed in our room was old and uncomfortable.

Review 18:size of room was very good. Staff were helpful

Review 19:We were on the ground floor and the balcony area overlook bushes we didn't see the pretty late like there was supposed it like they told us and they said we were near the pool we would not near the pool at all so I was a little upset with that our room had a small refrigerator quite old refrigerator sitting areas wasn't really a sitting area it was just a chair it was not what I expected for the for the top price that we paid everything else was fine to the inside of the hotel was beautiful restaurant was beautiful the outside

Review 20:pool size, pool area size, shower cleanliness, there was a bug in the room a warm type bug by the glass doors, view.

Review 21:Decoration. Location. Staff. Express chek out. it was quiet.

Review 22:There was Not a restaurant on the property that was air conditioned and it was Extremely hot And Humid! Most people didn't seem to mind as the pool side cafe was Very busy But we have a little difficulty with the heat.

Review 23:A Very Elegant hotel ! Just beautiful and in a perfect area as well as setting. Lots of restaurants and shops Right next door! Staff was awesome as well!

Review 24:My bed didn't have a comforter and we found a dirty towell in the balcony ewww

Review 25:Lady at the reception was very attentive and cordial, my bed was very comfortable.

Review 26:I didn't like the approach of the manager on duty how he spoke to all of us on the pool to get out neither did I appreciate how he spoke to us during the rest of the evening.

Review 27:The location from the Beach was the best and when I left my valuable items how good and honest they acted in returning my items was.

Review 28:Had a very good experience, but would recommend updating pillows.

Review 29:The bed was very comfortable, the staff was great, room was great. Will stay there again. Liked having a refrigerator and the room was quiet considering there was a major road outside. The bathroom was spacious and convenient for two travelers.

Review 30:There are numerous maintenance issues with the room and cleanliness details in the common areas that could use some attention- blood shouldn't still be on the floor of the elevator after 3 days- ugh. And that was one of the minor things but off-putting.

Review 31:Beautiful location, landscaping and pond, excellent restaurant on site, spotless room, attentive staff. Oh and friendly alligator :-)

Review 32:The guy at front desk was so rude our friends balcony was close to the pool and because of that we were sitting between pool and balcony it was about 9pm he said pool was closed and because we were out ppl thought it was open. The way he said it and continue over the night was just rude he is very bitter

Review 33:The hotel is very nice

Review 34:My only complaint is the shower head, the water saver saves so much water its like being spit on so you have to take 10 times longer shower!!!

Review 35:It was nicer than I thought it would be, room was clean, view was very nice, the bed was so comfortable and A/C blew extra cold!!

Review 36:The breakfast was not a good deal for $6.99- not worth staying there for breakfast.

Review 37:Attractive entryway with a place that had comfortable furniture and a place to meet with friends and chat.

Review 38:The fact that breakfast wasn't included. Everything else was superb.

Review 39:Overall everything from the room down to all the employees, to the facility and property and amenities.

Review 40:There was not really anything that we didn't like. If anything could be improved, the pool might need some upgrade but we enjoyed it anyways.

Review 41:We found the staff to be great, the room clean and comfortable. The location gives you an excellent starting point to vist both north and south parts of the west florida coast.

Review 42:The rooms are dark with only table lamps. There is no microwave to even warm up a coffee and our room was without creamer.the sparse breakfast was offered at 6.99 when most other hotels comp the full breakfast.

Review 43:This hotel is decorated to a tee with an old English charm.

Review 44:We were dissapointed with breakfast.

Review 45:This hotel has everything we enjoy, a small size hotel with large rooms and very comfortable beds. The rooms are spotless and they had a refrigerator. There is a small restaurant close to the pool which is very convenient if you like a drink or any food. It is quite a jewel hidden in Bonita Beach Fl The location is perfect sorrounded by trees and a beautiful lake. The hotel has many restaurants and shops close by for all kinds of shoppers

Review 46:The shower/shower head could use some updates.

Review 47:Beautiful grounds on a small lake with alligators. This hotel was the only one at its price point with balcony rooms. It has a great restaurant on the water. It was also next to a a shopping area with more great restaurants.

Review 48:If you aren't a fan of Temperpedic beds...well, that is what we had. The furniture in the room was older, and seemed to small for the room. The television was small...if you plan on watching television. The most difficult.part was we couldn't adjust the air.

Review 49:The room was large and clean (we booked the superior king room), and was close to both Naples and Ft. Myers. The staff was helpful, and pleasant. The bathroom was large and had both a tub and a shower.

Review 50:The lack of breakfast options was a little disappointing.

Review 51:The location is excellent, your close to everything. I love the hotel size its smaller so u don't fill over crowded. Very quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

Review 52:Every hotel where I've stayed over the past 20 plus years, even most internationals, provide, at least free coffee! $6.45 for a cup of coffee and a "mini-muffin" was disappointing! Don't recall this being the case during my regular stays a couple of years ago.

Review 53:We did not have a bad experience, but we are older and would have felt safer if there were grab bars in the shower.

Review 54:Everything, the hotel is beautiful, it was convenient for us, there were several different places to eat, it was an added bonus to have the breakfast just downstairs, and to stroll through the Promanade was lovely.

Review 55:I have stayed at this hotel in previous years. It has been quite a bit since i have been there. I was extremely disappointed to find that the soda and snack machines have been taken off all of the floors, and now the continental breakfast has a $7.00 per person charge. For bagels, muffins, and croissants??? You also have to go to the front desk, in order to purchase a drink or snack, which are way over priced. The front desk staff at check in, Jeff was a bit condescending. Competent at job, but has a bit of attitude towards people. No exhaust fan in bathrooms.

Review 56:Received upgrade for free. Rooms and other facilities were clean and well kept. Most of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Nice, quite, peaceful.

Review 57:We were 2 rooms down from the elevator but it still woke us up when everyone started using it early in the morning

Review 58:Stayed here one night until we could get into our condo. Located close to Publics & right next to a high end retail area with beautiful fountains, an unbelievable Italian market & restaurants. The pool felt secluded dispite being close to major street & the front desk went out of there way. Even ran out after me when someone returned their umbrella to give it to me.

Review 59:the bed bows in the middle...not sure if it was a tempurpedic mattress and if that is a trait of those or it is just worn out. The bathroom appeared clean, but the shower floor was slimey...I felt like I could have easily slipped on it. I ended up showering with my flipflops on. Breakfast was just OK, No pancakes or oatmeal at 6:00 AM...I think it was closer to 7:00 - 7:30 before they were available and the coffee was warm...not hot. selection of fruit was minimal.

Review 60:the location and the building it's self is nice. the room was OK...seemed a little dated.

Review 61:Staff at reception were generally not overly courteous/welcoming No free continental breakfast (which was anyway basic) Poor wifi in rooms & generally around property (outside seating areas/swimming pool)

Review 62:Great location (6km from beech) & within walking distance to many restaurants Quiet/shaded location our room balcony Room size & cleanliness Great food at bar & grill with friendly staff

Review 63:Beds not quite as comfortable as expected for price and facilities (small doubles, extra tempurpedic padding a bit too soft), small ants in bathroom

Review 64:Wonderful Lakehouse restaurant and great pool, location, large rooms

Review 65:Everything else. Stay away during snow bird season. Unless you love the 55+ retirement scene. Hotel decor is super dated. Walls had cracks and furniture had stains. Pool needs resurface bad.

Review 66:The fire pit

Review 67:Had to pay $7.00 for a poor continental breakfast with limited offerings. Beds were squeaky.

Review 68:Close to family and ease of access. Cleanliness of surroundings.

Review 69:The breakfast food was just bad - sorry - the food tasted old, so we were very disappointed with that. The water pressure in the shower was too low, and the wifi didn't always work and a person travelling with me really needed that.

Review 70:Love the staff, very very friendly. The pool & hot tub were great... and Lakeside bar by the pool was very relaxing. The mattresses were very comfortable, and we really liked the 12noon check out.

Review 71:horrible mattress: a foam thing with no back support. I was in pain the whole vacation. pool area over run with kids. coffee in room tastes like dirty water. buffet too expensive for people who don't eat a large breakfast.

Review 72:nice location. room was big. patio and pool area very pretty. nice to have the café there.

Review 73:The breakfast could be improved, a better selection of fruit and cereal and for the last few days there were not any yoghurts. Excellent porridge though!

Review 74:Ambience, room facilities very good, public areas inside hotel spacious and well furnished, a little more restricted outside. The Lake grill house, excellent value, staff very friendly.

Review 75:WiFi signal in room was very poor. Had to be in specific corner of the room to get useable signal. Continental breakfast was not worth $. Went off property second day.

Review 76:Size of room. Spacious bathroom. View overlooking pool and bay. Balcony seating

Review 77:The continental breakfast. The food was so so also the cost. Most hotel include this in the charge. It was not worth the $6.99

Review 78:The bed was very comfortable. Location

Review 79:Room air conditioning units are loud and inefficient. Also there was a hum of some kind - perhaps from the elevator - that was constant and very annoying.

Review 80:I booked the hotel and then started reading all the recent reviews and was regretting my choice. The reivews were not good. I tried booking at other hotels, but didn't have any success. I am glad the other places didn't work out. The hotel staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, grounds were beautiful and location was great!

Review 81:Rooms are outdated, lighting is terrible, unhealthy/unimaginative Continental breakfast . Beds are very uncomfortable, only about 4 hangers in the closet, noisy refrigerator, no extra blanket . $2.00 charge just for a small cup of coffee at their coffee Set up, to-go cups not available.

Review 82:The Staff was very pleasant. Nice location and pretty property but needs renovation to stay current . This hotel has so much potential but just isn't up to date and misses out on a lot of details .

Review 83:Hotel served a continental breakfast that was satisfactory but nothing special and always the same.

Review 84:Location for out purposes was perfect. Staff was competent, friendly and always helpful. Lake House was a delightful, informal dining option, but there were several more formal options within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Review 85:Nothing, really. The price was a little high as we spent north of $600 per night, but everything worked out well.

Review 86:Service was excellent! Our grandson and granddaughter were both ill during our stay and your staff were wonderful. They were very efficient in cleaning and helping with clean sheets, comforters, etc.

Review 87:The continental breakfast was the worst. Warm milk, bread was stale, pancake maker was broken the entire time, coffee was warm and full of coffee grinds. It was just very very poor.

Review 88:Liked the Lake House and the staff was great. Really liked the location and décor of the hotel.

Review 89:Hotel desk staff totally unfriendly, unwelcoming...could care less if you were there or not. No explanation about what might be a available at hotel. Hotel offered no coffee/tea/water in lobby. Continental breakfast available for a fee which is OK but not the best way to encourage return business. Room nicely appointed in a traditional style. Bed had comfy memory foam topper but mattress underneath hard and creaking...both of us had sore backs in am. No extra roll of toilet tissue in bath. The Lake House casual restaurant was pleasant enough but service was extremely slow even though it wasn't really that busy. Food was good once our order was taken. I think the hotel needs new management or a refresher course on customer service skills. Left a bad feeling with us...won't go back, not even to the Restaurant.

Review 90:Setting and decorative style. Good location and handy to many things. We used to live in the area and thought it would be nice to stay here.

Review 91:Pool was not inviting, dirty. Pool side tables were filthy as was the outside patio furniture on our terrace. Our outside terrace was littered with animal poop, looked liked rat poop to me but who knows what it was, I wanted to but couldn't sit out there and putting anything on the table was out of the question. We were there 3 nights and it was never cleaned nor did I complain. The outdoor fire-pit is nice but the odor of gas was overpowering and nauseating.

Review 92:Nice room with XL bathroom. The poolside restaurant and bar was enjoyable. Continental breakfast was a good value and the gentleman overseeing it seemed to know his regulars which was nice. Staff at the pool side restaurant/bar was also very nice.

Review 93:I did not like the breakfast being charged for, include it in the room charge. The room had patches on the wall and the clock did not work - did not report it cause I thought I fixed it. I was dispointed in the room but because of the comfort of the bed and the decorative lobby I would assess this hotel at 2 1/2 star but not more. Shower caps were not in the room. My trip included a stay at the Holiday Inn - I would rate that 4 stars compared to my room the Trianon. sorry I think I' entitled to an adjustment in price.

Review 94:Why charge for breakfast? At the price of the hotel it should be included. It was poor pr even if it cost a modest $6.99. Management needs to consider what other hotels in a similar price bracket offer guests.

Review 95:The continental breakfast was only adequate. Not much variety. Worse was the fact that it is no longer free. At the end of our stay they began charging $6.99 per person each day.

Review 96:The balcony, the refrigerator, the cleanliness, and large room

Review 97:Pool and jacuzzi closed at dusk. As an adult on vacation the last thingI want is a curfew imposed by the State. We need to change this law.Breakfast is lousy. Better to walk next door to the Italian bakery forcoffee, etc.

Review 98:DeRomo Italian bakery / deli and restaurant is awesome right nextdoor. Heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Farmers Market every Saturday.Temperpidic mattresses!

Review 99:Noise from hotels bar and grill was occasionally intrusive in the pool area.

Review 100:Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious, well furnished and comfortable room. It had the feel of a quality hotel

Review 101:There was no meat with the breakfast, just a lot of bread and stuff.

Review 102:we are local and the Trianon is a great getaway. The rooms and service are fantastic, great pool, great bar, great location close to everything.

Review 103:Our first room 116 smells like mildew. We had to change the room around 10.30 - it was not possible to breathe. We asked staff for an nice cafe with italian cafe machine she pretended to know nothing although we found one 100 m away in the arcades.

Review 104:Wish they had a washer and dryer on property. Breakfast was average.

Review 105:Beautiful decor great location courteous informative staff.restaurant is great food was great reasonably priced fresh and good variety.gorgeous views from our balcony.

Review 106:The man in the reception was arrogant, big minus! Fortunately his female collegues was more customerfriendly.

Review 107:The location was great. Easy access to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Nice hotell and pool area.

Review 108:Furnishings getting tired looking. Have been staying there for 20 years now and not much has changed. Still nice place.

Review 109:Located central to the entire "Bonita Springs" area and The Promenade Center. Good value, nice pool area and Lakeside Bar.

Review 110:Wifi kept dropping out when in room. No breakfast tea with tea and coffee facilities.

Review 111:Large room, lovely pool, nice staff. You won't be disappointed!

Review 112:Pool closed at dusk Know it is necessary, and grateful they wait untilafter 9am, but the laundry room has a drier that sounds like ahelicopter taking off every 5 min.

Review 113:Came for birthday getaway Enjoyed the pool, the lounge, the locationclose to a favorite restaurant, very comfortable king size bed, andhelpful front desk personal, especially being able to delay checkoutuntil 2pm.

Review 114:The Wifi was troublesome with our electronic devices. For smartphones and tablets especially, the wifi would drop us very frequently. Even laptops would be dropped occasionally.

Review 115:The hotel is done in a classic early to mid-20th century style (so if you are a modern aesthete, avoid it). The room was very spacious. The beds were Tempurpedic. We had a separate shower and bath.

Review 116:No breakfast included with room.

Review 117:Location - felt safe.

Review 118:No room service, not a good restaurant, some of decor a bit dated.

Review 119:Location, old world feel, clean, comfortable

Review 120:A little pricey

Review 121:Location, comfort, outdoor bar

Review 122:Nobody to help with luggage.

Review 123:No waiting time and great location.

Review 124:breakfast very skimpy. Staff not very friendly.

Review 125:Rooms are very comfortable. WiFi is pretty good. very convenient to business I was visiting.

Review 126:location is great and a nice clean place throughout.....will come back.

Review 127:Would have appreciated a better onsite breakfast option.

Review 128:Many good restaurants close by, easy access. Attractive hotel

Review 129:It was beautiful & clean.

Review 130:Cost a little high for the experience.

Review 131:Could not locate the ice machine or vending machine. there were no signs.

Review 132:nice area, clean, and quiet.

Review 133:Location close to Fort Myers and Naples. Plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Review 134:The check in time is 4:00pm which is pretty late.

Review 135:Great location!

Review 136:Breakfast bar could be slightly improved with more protein choices

Review 137:Nice bar Rooms great Staff helpful
