Review 1:My husband had difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi.

Review 2:I felt like I was staying at Downton Abbey. The period decor is awesome. Our room was beautiful, comfy/cozy and quiet .

Review 3:The breakfast was disappointing. On a Sunday morning I expected more. Had trouble using the wi-fi used our own hot spot.

Review 4:Pleasant, Quiet and restful.

Review 5:We couldn't stay at least a week.

Review 6:The historical aspects of the modernization brings the true immensity and majesty of this property. The ambiance is further enhanced by the staff. Truly a location to base travels from.

Review 7:While being close to downtown it is a bit far to walk.

Review 8:This is a beautiful mansion converted to a bed and breakfast. It is secluded and you would have no idea that you are in the middle of the city.

Review 9:We were on our honeymoon and we loved the quiet and elegant atmosphere. Our hostess was very friendly caring and informative. The dining was exquisite and very delicious. The whole Bed & Breakfast experience was like taking a wonderful step back in time. Thank you for making our honeymoon a very special & memorable time. : )

Review 10:It seemed like they didn't have enough staff to thoroughly maintain the building. For example, it rained and there was a leak on the front porch making it unusable. There was a lot of dust on the top of the curtains but they were 12 feet tall, not a big deal. I'm being really picky it is a great place.

Review 11:Great building! It's set back off the main road next to a church. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the halls have lots of room for reading or meeting other guests.

Review 12:Best vintage hotel I've ever seen.

Review 13:Breakfast was very disappointing.

Review 14:The Governor's Suite is was delightful - complete with Christmas tree in the lovely sitting area.

Review 15:1. Our bed in the Chantel room was so uncomfortable that we checked ourselves out a 2:00 A.M. and went home because we could not sleep! The mattress is too soft and worn out. 2. The sheets were old, thin and pilled. 3. The room was not clean: little hand prints on the mirror, scum in the tub, carpets not vacuumed, furniture dusty. 4. Our room had a slightly unpleasant odor. 5. Our bedroom door was so heavy and extremely difficult to open and it did not lock.

Review 16:Loved the Mansion experience. Staff friendly and helpful. Room pretty and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and well presented.

Review 17:Breakfast was not included in the price of the room. Microwave wasdownstairs and was for the staff, so we ate our leftovers cold. Notreally that big of a deal for us, but it would have been nice to haveone in the room or one easily available.

Review 18:Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms that were well kept andwith the time period, and the location was perfect. Easy access to manyplaces in town. Even though it was in the heart of town, it was very, very quiet. If we are ever in that area again, we would definitely wantto stay there.

Review 19:The tour of the mansion was so informative. It was special to get to stay in a place of history the week before our 29th anniversary. The hot breakfast and blueberry muffin was delicious too. Can't wait to stay in another room.

Review 20:We had problems with our air conditioner, so they let us pick whateverroom we wanted to move into for our second night. They also gave us adiscount on our next visit, which was very thoughtful.

Review 21:The staff were all so helpful and attentive to our needs.

Review 22:Awesome historic mansion... really truly a mansion, not just a big house. The host was so friendly and gave us a tour and explained the history. We stayed in the John O'Day Suite which was huge! The old 6 ft. clawfoot tub was super comfortable to soak in and the old style showerhead put out a great water flow. I love the original bathroom fixtures! The king size bed was beautiful with a net canopy and super comfortable. We both slept great, which is not usual for me away from home. Breakfast was delicious, served in a large dining room with many small tables.. so you can stay to yourselves or visit with others, whichever you like. Location was close to everything we wanted to do, like a little oasis in the city. We will definitely be staying again!

Review 23:I have no complaints. I want to stay on a weekend, when breakfastis offered.

Review 24:Myra was so sweet and friendly. Its owned by her church, and I wasn'tsure how my partner and I would be received, but she made us feelcomfortable. I may even visit her church because she showed realChristian behavior. I was very impressed. She showed us each room andlet us choose from the available ones.

Review 29:not around alot of things with in walking distance

Review 30:Friendly staff, great history, would highly recommend. Cost about what a mid range motel would cost, but you get so much more.

Review 31:I like the feeling of a home rather than a hotel, the room was quite large and comfortable, the ladies that work there were excellent.
