Review 1：Several times the front desk help mentioned they were short staffed & had to apologize for us having to wait for service. They were all very polite & helpful though.

Review 2：Great room & appreciated the gift bottle of wine for celebrating our anniversary! Nice décor & music in the lobby. Quiet & relaxing stay.

Review 3：I really really liked this hotel, the staff were lovely and the room very comfortable. We did have an issue with the room smell, which the hotel did their very best to remedy. A replacement room was offered, which we regrettably declined due to tiredness. The manager explained the smell was due to the carpets not being dried correctly when cleaned and he made a note to have housekeeping to correct the situation for the next guest. The breakfast was really really good, heaps of choice and all very fresh and of good quality. The shuttle bus was great, and picked up late at night from Jack London Square on request. I would highly recommend this hotel, if you want to avoid the high price of the city.

Review 6：When we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest young man, big smile,very happy! Made check in so easy. I was really impressed with the night manager. We needed transportation to a venue, and he made it happen. Great experience, thank you.

Review 7：The lobby was beautiful and inviting with big windows to look out to the water. The breakfast area was wonderful and welcoming. Our room was clean and had a wonderful view of the water as well as seeing SF off in the distance! Great choice if going to Oracle for an event. Very close by! (Take an Uber. Half the cost of a taxi. took Uber there and was $11. Took taxi back was $22 plus!)

Review 22：The location was great for a trip into San Francisco as it was very close to the BART station at Lake Merritt. They also laid on free shuttle trips to get you to the station which was great. Of particular note was the guy on Reception, Emmett!! He was a star, very happy and bubbly!! We also managed to get to the baseball at Oakland as this was also just a short hop on the BART. The hotel was very close to the bay and the room was spacious and quiet with a massive and extremely comfortable bed!!! This was a great place to stay!

Review 25：For the cost of the room, breakfast could have been slightly more substantial and what bothered me the most was the parking. There is not enough parking for the amount of rooms. I had to park on the street in front of another hotel. Granted it wasn't a very far walk but you had to be careful bc there were alot of no parking zone signs posted along the street making parking on the street very limited as well.

Review 34：Location close to San Francisco, Monterey to the South and the wine country to the North. Less expensive, roomier and less traffic than staying in downtown San Francisco. Good for seeing the whole SF area. We had a nice view of the Bay.

Review 35：We were given a room on the second floor, above the lobby. The noise from both staff and guests funneled up from early evening, and into the night. We were repeatedly woken by voices from the lobby area, a beeping that sounded like a two-way radio outside our door, and the heavy footed upstairs neighbors.

Review 37：The shower in the room drained very slow, the staff could have been more friendly while assisting us with directions and scheduling. We wasn't told at check in that we needed to reserve a seat on the shuttle. So we ended up going later than we wanted to the game.

Review 43：River view was lovely and peaceful. The room large and spacious plenty of storage and the fridge and microwave very handy. We booked 2 nights but ended up staying 4. The Bart made getting into to town easy. The shuttle service was a very pleasant surprise.

Review 44：There were 2 families of 5 travelling together. We had a room per family. So 10 people altogether. We had lots trouble trying to book the shuttle service. There were 2 shuttles but at times they refused to order 2 shuttles for us. Insisting that we book 1 shuttle then wait half an hour for another shuttle. Ridiculous. When my friend complained the manager tried to talk over her and the manager above the duty manager did not return call in timely manner.

Review 45：Samone was so very helpful when we arrived in helping us with the shuttle and info on the Bart!! We would have been out of luck if not for her being proactive :)

Review 46：shuttle service a bit hit and miss - need to publicise timings and limits so people can plan ahead for trips etc (if this is advertised then it should be available) we booked times for all three days but they had booked the wrong time for our execursion day resulting in taxi required. some reception staff great but others need to remember what industry they are in.

Review 48：This was our second stay in two weeks here. The first 6 nights we stayed were excellent with rooms overlooking the lake. We had booked another night at the end of our holiday as we were travelling home from San Fran airport the next day. We arrived at around 8pm and were told the only room was overlooking the lake (which we had requested) but also the road (which we had not requested). Very noisy all night. Requested a reduction in room rate the next day which was neither forthcoming then nor later after subsequent e-mails to the Front Office Manager and the Hotel General Manager.

We felt our privacy was severelyviolated. Additionally more vegetarian/vegan friendly breakfastoptions would've been appreciated. We made a special request foralmond or soy milk prior to our stay, but this was not honored.

Review 111：The location was beautiful for the Oakland area. It was near thefreeway and city but also situated near the water where we could seeducks and boats from the balcony. Rooms were nice and well decorated.Breakfast is included.
