Review 1：Great value!! The room was clean spacious and comfortable. Wi-Fi was a good strength and the free parking was clutch. Although the front desk clerk was a little short on courtesy everything else was definitely worth the lower price.

Review 2：The owners were so sweet to me when I checked in at 1:30am! I got stuck in LA. Made me feel really nice. The room was beyond clean I've been to hotels that cost 4 times as much and I didn't want to take a shower there. This is an awesome value for the money

Review 5：Manager was total jerk. Hung up the phone after I said I needed to change rooms. Then wouldn't answer phone. I called agency I rented from. Then urged him to change rooms. He insisted that he see the room without me in it. Lost hours of sleep. Room stunk of chemicals and wouldn't air out.

Review 20：The TV. It was difficult to figure out how to use and work the remote. The refrigerator was not turned on when we arrived and there was quite a bit of water that spilled out when we opened it and the defrosting tray was full to the brim with water.

Review 22：Horrible experience with this hotel. The staff was absolutely terrible, rude, and not helpful. I asked for an early check in because I was going to a concert and would not be able to check in later. The guy at the desk acted as if no one had ever asked for an early check in before. He told me to come back in an hour, and also told me that there would be a $50 cash deposit which I was fine with as most hotels have some type of deposit. When we came back and hour later, we were told we needed to wait another 15-20 minutes while the maid finished cleaning. We parked right outside our room and waited for a maid to come out for 20 minutes for no reason because she was actually already done cleaning. Upon checkout, I was told the maid needed to check the room before they could give me my money back, then I was told we would not be getting the deposit back because the room smelled like smoke, we didn't smoke in the room whatsoever. Needless to say I was upset. Other people were also checking out at the same time and no one else's rooms were checked and also, no one was getting any cash deposits back, leading me to believe they weren't made to pay one.

Review 23：They refused to receive a package from Amazon for me, and this caused me a huge trouble. Terrible experience.

Review 25：Not honoring my booking confirmation for queen bed and assigning me a king room and charging me extra for it. No shampoo in bathroom. Refrigerator rocked as only three legs for it were on its base and clerk/manager/owner did not know about it.

Review 27：The staff was really helpful. I locked myself out on accident on an early Saturday morning and had to wake up a person in the front office, who was there ( I think I actually woke him up) to issue a key replacement. The room is spacious and has all that is needed for a short trip. Location is good to get onto main roads and within 1 min walking distance to get a morning coffee cup at a gas station.

Review 28：Had a fantastic room but although it was a non-smoking room and ashtrays were OUTSIDE on the veranda there was smoke smell in the room. Shame some smokers do not respect non-smoking policy. An odor eliminator that I bought did not work enough!

Review 29：Compared with other motels in this area this is more quiet because the Cozy Inn is not directly along the busy freeway and Newport boulevard. Busstops for all directions (beaches etc.) closeby. Friendly staff. Mother's Market (health foods supermarket and restaurant) for a great hot meal or salad etc. closeby.

Review 30：I got a lot more than I was expecting for the price. The room was big and clean, the bed was comfy and there was a mini fridge. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Review 32：It's always difficult to find a place to stay when you are on a budget. Most lower priced places are terrible. So this was a pleasant surprise, location was great for getting around and it was quite.

Review 33：Booking made a mistake and cancelled both of my reservations at thisproperty when I only cancelled one. They continued to reflect that I hadone active reservation on my account. I arrived at the property and ittruned out I had no active reservation and Cozy Inn had just sold thelast room as I walked in the lobby. The incredible front desk manager,instead of turning me away, very carefully assessed her bookings andmanaged to make it work that she could honor our reservation, and sheeven honored it the cheaper rate from our original booking. Hands downsome of the most oustanding customer service under a very stressfulcircumstance, as the whole area was sold out. The room was very largeand clean and an incredible value for the price. Without hesitation wewould stay here again.

Review 34：Drove by the first time without seeing it, the hotel does not have a large frontage on the street (but that's good, rooms were quiet).

Review 35：The hotel room was quiet, located just off the main boulevard. Decent neighborhood, and convenient to the 55 highway. Very clean, both inside and out. Large room was renovated, good bathroom, big flat screen TV, very good bed. Great for the price.

Weird rule of no visitors, so our friends that drove an hour from LA had to meet us at a neutral location to hang out and meet our 6 month old. Guy at front desk had a language barrier so wasn't helpful asking him anything.

Review 47：Large room allowed us to throw a blanket down for the baby to roll around on, about 15 min from Huntington Beach. Great price (we paid $181 for 2 nights in July)

Review 51：The front desk has a sign that says no visitors. I don't like being surprised with restrictions like that at check in. I am moving out of town, and wanted to have a friend over to say goodbye. Luckily the staff didn't hassle me but I was afraid they would. Also the young guy at the front desk asked me at check in if the room was for me or for someone else. What a bizarre and kind of insulting question.

Review 52：They've renovated and obviously invested a lot in the property. The room was odor-free, the carpet was new, the fixtures were clean and in working order, and the air conditioning was quiet. There was a large flat screen television with tons of channels available. It was like being at home.

Review 63：Staff was unfriendly and very short with us. When we got to our room, the carpet were practically soaking wet! Until we asked, they did not disclose that they had cleaned the carpets that morning... it smelled like mold. The first night, I asked for a couple more pillows, since there were only 2. Young man at the front desk said that he will only give me 1 pillow, that's it, no exceptions?!!! Young Man that was at the front desk asked for a 50.00 deposit, said he'd give it back if we didn't smoke in the room. So, my spouse made sure to smoke outside ( i don't allow smoking at our home anyway) when we went to leave, the Staff accused us of smoking in the room. I still do not know what they are talking about... when we tried to get answers, the young man ran back to the front office and refused to give us our money back. We were infuriated to say the least! We believe they make Excuses to keep your money (Deposit) Will Never Stay Here Again!!!!!

Review 64：the room was overall okay, only a couple of pillows in the room that were really lumpy. Saw rats running around at night outside all around the Hotel.

Review 65：My two dislikes would be that there were only two pillows on our bed, I would say maybe two more would do :) Also, when I got up in the morning there was no shampoo or conditioner in our bathroom. Not sure if that was by mistake when cleaning the room or what, but if you stay check and make sure before showering or just bring your own. if you're looking for a nice pool/jacuzzi, this hotel is not your place. The pool is in the middle of the parking lot and is super small, with no jacuzzi. But then again, you're in Costa Mesa, about a 10 minute drive from Newport Beach, so you shouldn't really care about a pool ;)

Review 66：i didn't arrive for my check in until 3am, so when I got there the door was locked :/ but within about 5-10 minutes an older gentleman opened the door and checked me in super quick and easy. The room itself was your typical hotel room, nothing fancy. The bed was super comfortable and the room was pretty spacious along with a huge TV, at least the biggest TV I've had in a room. This hotel location is in a very convenient location also, Arco gas station next door, Stater Bros 2 minutes away (5-10 minute walk) and tons of places to eat and drink.

Review 67：The room was very large, the bed was sooo comfortable, loved having a small fridge and microwave in room. Very quiet. Only thing to complain about is the very worn and stained carpet.

Review 68：The only thing that would of top of our stay was if there was breakfast included but there was a donut shop down the street so wasn't bad at all. A little walking never hurt anyone.

Review 70：i had a problem with the person above us walking very heavily and making alot of noise continuously for several hours & when i called front desk the attendant was very friendly and the noise seized within 5 minutes for the remainder of stay. I also asked a different person the next day to suggest a wonderful Indian restauarant & he went above & beyond & the food was excellent at the restaurant.

Review 71：Nothing bad, they tried to accommodate all requests. Pool has lock on it and one day you could use it the next day not, they said it was under construction. There were not any chemicals added nor construction. Other clients were puzzled, 30 minutes later someone unlocked it. Seemed to be an inconvenience for them to let you use pool area. We left the room at 9AM got back at 4PM and room had not been cleaned. Called the office and told them not to worry about it as we were getting ready for the evening. Came back from evening out and room had been cleaned. Might have been having staffing problems that weekend. One thing is that the carpet in our room was vacuumed but the carpet is filthy, could walk from a fresh shower across room and feet were black. Would still go back and hope for change. All in all good value.

Review 80：This place was solid. Large room with a small refrigerator and microwave, single-cup coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. The room and bathroom were clean. Parking was easy and on the edge of a neighborhood, so it was mostly quiet. Rooms closer to the street had a bit more noise, but it is far enough from the freeway that it wasn't disturbing. Good place to use as a home-base, but may not be too fun if planning to spend a lot of time at the motel.

Review 81：I booked my room through booking.com. There was no mention of a security deposit. Upon check-in, the motel charged my credit with a $50 deposit. They did not credit this deposit back to me when I checked out. I felt this was a sneaky policy not sufficiently explained at the time of my booking. Buyer beware!

Review 101：The front desk woman took 20 minutes to show up and help check us in, when we arrived the lights were off in the front desk area, so we stood there trying to buzz/call for 20 min. There were three live bugs in the sink. Tiny things that looked liked fleas. Very unappealing. The room smelled musty and moldy. Luckily I brought candles and body spray and sprayed the entire room for a good five minutes until it was bareable. The A/C didn't keep the room as cool as we set it to. We set it to 69 degrees and I kept waking up in the middle of the night from being too warm. The decor is very drab The carpets had several stains Their pillows were small and uncomfortable We were woken up by our neighbors screaming at each other around 4am They didn't provide shampoo or conditioner Overall as you can see the experience sucked. I will never return.

Review 103：The man who checked us in was kind of rude, we had an early check in set up with Raj and I guess the front desk person was unaware or didn't check the notes of the reservation. I don't know, but he gave us a hard time about it at first. And the upstairs neighbors who were obvious tweekers were up at all hours of the night stomping around but that's not the hotel's fault.

Review 104：We got out on the first floor like I had requested so that was awesome right off the bat. The room was incredibly clean, housekeeping does a great job. The refrigerator and microwave were great. Nice decor, nice flat screen TV. When we checked out in the morning, Raj was very helpful and professional. He even mentioned our upcoming reservation for the next weekend and confirmed the room type. Very impressive. Great job guys, thank you!

Review 105：The Cozy Inn is just that! Very COZY and "Homey" i don't want to stay anywhere else now! Not to mention the huge flat screen TV and cable! The down comforters and always, ALWAYS CLEAN! This is by far THE BEST hotel iv'e stayed at in Orange County.

Review 106：Bathroom floor had other people's hair on it and there were other debris on floor. The bathroom door was dirty above and below the doorknob. The tissue dispenser was dirty.
