Reviews for Red Maple Inn by The Falls

Review 1:Dirty property, uncomfortable beds and certainly not worth $150 per night even though that night was New Years eve! Obviously a money grab!

Review 2:It was a convenient walk to the casino but offered nothing else of interest

Review 3:The beds were very hard and a little uncomfortable. The first light in the room was on a timer which was super annoying. The walls were very thin so if you're a light sleeper take that into consideration. I could hear doors slamming in the middle of the night and it woke me up once or twice and the noise of the cleaning lady next door.

Review 4:The location was perfect. We could literally walk to anything we wanted to do. The only thing we drove too was a diner and a restaurant that were further into the actual town. The hotel does have free breakfast but we never woke up early enough to check it out. There's lots of restaurants in walking distance. A/C & heater worked perfectly fine and there was a nice balcony if you wanted fresh air or needed to smoke.

Review 5:For 50 dollars we would definitely stay there again. It was right across from the casino and a 5 minute walk to the falls. It was definitely great for the price.

Review 6:Neighbors in room next to us were extreamly loud and kept us up on n off till 3 am. (Thin walls) room was clean but hotel was outdated, and could use renovations. Room was fair for the price, but could have been better if we had a balcony like I was kinda led to believe from website. Didn't try the free breakfast because it was not made aware to us were it was served (Indian resturant next-door?)

Review 7:We could walk to where ever we needed to. Close walk to the falls. Front desk girl is very nice and friendly other staff seamed nice also.

Review 8:Draining out of water in the sink. Very very slow. They were informed... Need to work on bfst, not what I'm used to. Very limited.

Review 9:Closeness to most everything. Walking distance to casino. Balcony.

Review 10:We paid 120 for our one night I understand the location is prime but the room was not worth 120 more like a 60$ room

Review 11:The location was absolutely perfect .. Walking distance to the falls, restaurants, and the casino!

Review 12:Bad customer service, we request towels and front desk told us just to pick it up instead of delivering it in our room.

Review 13:Near the falls and restaurants.

Review 14:What i didnt like there was there was not enough parking up front and they only have 1 handicap parking and somewas in it that didnt have a handicap sticker we told the lady at the front desk she did nothing and i think if the people want to eat there they should be the ones to park out back not the people that are there to stay at the hotel (not enough parking space)

Review 15:The hot water

Review 16:Rather rude staff - I asked wether the restaurant would be open later today, and in a tone like i was imbecile the receptionist answered "No - it says so on the sign on the dorr". The sign had actually been there since yesterday and read: "closed for today". And quite right, the restaurant did actually open later that day.

Review 17:Cheap, huge rooms, no noise.

Review 18:Our room was non smoking and it smelled like an ashtray. The bed was not comfortable at all. We were in vacation so we didn't spen much time in the room.

Review 19:Staff was great. Location is great.

Review 20:Parking. Couldnt use door going to outside. Restaurant next door smellled aweful in our room. Carpet was dirty an bath out dated beds very uncomfortable

Review 21:Location was great...

Review 22:We had bees on our balcony. There was a nest inside the wall.

Review 23:The location. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't need to move it until we left. Everything was within walking distance.

Review 24:Need more variety for breakfast. Should clean and paint the hallway. Our bathroom fan & lights stopped working day 2. Noisy. Improve the exterior - clean, knock down bugs, paint, repair.

Review 25:able to walk to the Falls

Review 26:Overall the appearance of the place is not great when you arrive. The pictures online look way better, but in person its not. It lacked some upgrades, like the towels and bedding, and bed itself!

Review 27:The location was great! Walking distance to the falls and restaurants around! They offer a free breakfast(coffee, toast, muffin, oatmeal, juice, tea)

Review 28:Killed 3 spiders in our room. Free breakfast was only toast and instant oatmeal. Didn't even have milk available.

Review 29:Close to Falls and other attractions.

Review 30:common areas had paint coming off the walls. This hotel is visibly worn out in just about every way. The ice machine is probably 30-40 years old and if you want any more than 30 icecubes you have to come back a while later. It needs not to be repaired but replaced. Please stop using Febreeze. That product is used to cover up odour. Disinfect the cause of the odour instead.

Review 31:Breakfast, price and location.

Review 32:It was smelly, two completely different sized beds, very outdated, the temperature of the room was either too cold or too hot even when adjusted. The radiator produced an awful smell. I couldn't sleep because I could hear every sound from every room and from people in the hallway, on top of that, every time someone would close their room door our headboard would bang on the wall, I had to move the bed. Breakfast was ridiculous, a joke

Review 33:Location, that's all

Review 34:The elevator wasn't working. So if you have aging knees, be warned. There wasn't much attempt to fix it. The parking is first come first serve. Would be good if each guest gets at least one parking spot. Wi-fi was spotty at best in the rooms. Breakfast was over before the posted time.

Review 35:Location is walking distance from the Niagara Falls state park.

Review 36:No real dislikes, but we did have noisy neighbours and the carpet needed a proper cleaning.

Review 37:A great welcome, plenty of space, a rather good view across to Canada and very useful coffee. This area is much less run-down than other parts of the town. There are plenty of choices for eating out.

Review 38:Elevators door wouldn't open when going down, had to go back up then down again to open. Happened to us twice. Was pretty runned down. Free breakfast was quite what I expected. Not a lot!

Review 39:It was close to everything we wanted to do.

Review 40:Everything. We were surprised that you offer such an awful rundown hotel. It was really depressing to stay there. Don't you inspect the hotels you offer?

Review 41:Nothing

Review 42:The worst place in Niagara Falls. Horribly dirty and BED BUGS. It was the worst hotel I've ever slept. I spent one night that I will remember probably for life. Terrible stench in the rooms - mildew and urine. The photos do not show how really looks the room. Encouraged me location of the hotel very close to the waterfall. It turned out that the hotel has changed the name because he had a very bad reviews. Previously he called ECONO LODGE AT THE FALLS, 200 Rainbow Boulevard. Avoid this place if you do not want to be bitten by BED BUGS.

Review 43:Near waterfall.

Review 44:No hair dryer. Rooms are being renovated and gym and pool addedaccording to room service. This would be much needed. Hotel told us touse the taxi cab service they have and it would be 50 dollars flat feeto airport. We agreed, and when we arrived it was 85 dollars! The taxiwe were about to book had. 55 dollar flat fee. I was furious.

Review 45:The room had a microwave and fridge. Very convenient.

Review 46:Can't really complain for paying $206 for two nights 4 adults and a baby on the weekend in summer at the falls

Review 47:Great staff, great location. I traveled with my inlaws my wife and 3 month old sayed in the Twin queen room no issues, walking distance from the falls, free parking on lot

Review 48:Rock hard beds, paper-thin pillows, tiniest shower I've ever seen. The clock radio went off at midnight, and in my exhausted state couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Main light constantly turned off mere seconds after being turned on.

Review 49:The room was clean and the air conditioning was blasting. Wi-fi was easy to use. Parking was convenient.

Review 50:1) The hotel is very dirty.3) Hotel is too old. 2) photos on the booking.com are misleading , totally different from reality. 3) NO wifi "at all" in all floors + lobby. 4) bad smell comes from the restaurant in the GF to the upper floors . 5) Hotel Staff not friendly. 6) ) breakfast is very poor and tables were

Review 51:Nothing , except the location + parking

Review 52:wifi didn't work in room hallways and stairs needed some repair lack of outlets in room old tube tv

Review 53:cheap price and good location room was clean and bed was comfortable room had a balcony

Review 54:The hotel was just run down and needs some updating. It was way to expensive for the night and the condition of the room, but didn't have many other choices. Hotel was hard to find there wasn't a sign on the hotel I drove by it twice which was very frustrating.

Review 55:The staff was friendly and gave suggestions of places to eat and things to do. Hotel was walking distance to the Falls about a block or so.

Review 56:Difficult to see hotel sign from the street. Good thing I had looked at google earth and recognized the restaurant sign from the back of the hotel. I thought the bed was hard, uncomfortable, my husband thought it was fine. Only real concern I had was when we came in around 3am our 1st night room door was unlocked. ??? And the door out to parking lot was open too only that one had a chain so didn't open but a couple of inches. Yes we checked door before we left, it was locked. Also there was no chain on the door to hallway so we were in the room with door locked maid came in without knocking first. OK we didn't put do not disturb sign out which is so little I didn't see it at first. Still they should knock. And management should replace chain on that door.

Review 57:We chose here for the price we paid in this area most places are much higher. Location close walk to Falls. Seneca Casino was right in across the street. Continental Breakfast good enough for us. Blueberry muffin and danish, orange juice Get there early. Weak coffee. Clean King room 1st floor right off parking lot was surprised how quiet it was. Lady that checked us had to bring remote and program for TV Stayed 2 nights. Only needed a place to shower and nap. Plenty of towels.

Review 58:Asked for wake up call, but never got it. Complimentary breakfast was only muffins, toast, instant oatmeal, coffee,OJ and water.

Review 59:very close to the falls. Good rates.

Review 60:Asked to pay room tarriff for stay at the time of check in. No room service,We are senior citizens but no help to carry our luggage to room Fridge provided but totally empty, Tea maker not provided in room despite request, no bucket in bath even after making request, same breakfast- no change.

Review 61:Location, direct approach to Niagra falls.

Review 62:Hallway very narrow and rather dark for my liking. Lighter carpet and brightening walls and lighting would give a more secure feeling. Breakfast was coffee, tea, orange juice, toast, cheap muffin. Breakfast needs protein and fruit. Some cracked flooring, bathroom vanity and other cosmetic updates here and there would help.

Review 63:Nice basic room with spacious bathroom. Noise was minimal. Parking was easy.

Review 64:The signage was lacking, hard to find when the name was not on the front side of the hotel. We had to go around the block several times before we found it. The parking was not well lite. Bed mattress was hard and had body imprint. Room 107 view was of the Indian restaurant break area. Sort of spooky.

Review 65:The hotel is very close to a activities within walking distance. Close to the casino.

Review 66:First able when I reached that hotel early so I asked receptionist ,"'Can I use restroom ", the receptionist told me their restroom was out of oder.So asked again "can I use any restroom inside any room "they told me all rooms were full. But same time when two gental men were asking for room the receptionist told them she has room aveable for them. I was accompanied by my wife and little kid. So we went to same block Quality hotel asked for used their restroom , they let us used it.

Review 67:So far I don't remember any think I like. But liked one thing they hold my bags.

Review 68:Fortunately we had good weather and only needed a bed at night. It is not the type of place where I could enjoy sitting & relaxing on a rainy day

Review 69:Location, location, location! A short walk to the Falls.

Review 70:very old and outdated. no safety chain on door. could not find the pool. asked for a room on 2nd floor but got one on 1st floor next to the entrance and restaurant so we had to keep the curtains closed so people couldn't see in.

Review 71:free parking on site. Close to the falls and restaurants.

Review 72:This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at! For $159 I got dirtymatresses, cigarette burns in the comforter, a broken door lock, someonetrying to open the ajoining room door at 2 o'clock in the morning, and stairwells that smelled like a parking garage! When I booked thishotel, it had an 8.1 rating on your site. I arrived and couldn'teven find the hotel, so I called. They told me they had lost their "Econo-Lodge" designation from choice hotels because they could no longerrecomend them. The sign had been changed to "the red mapleinn" an hour before we arrived! I have never had a bad experiencelike this from booking.com, I tried calling you to explain but could notget through. I expect you to give me a full refund!!!

Review 73:Nothing!

Review 74:Our friends had a cock roach in their room. The staff was very nice to him but still. Our room the door was horrible, it took every bit of your strength to open and close it.

Review 75:The room was not very tidy. There were holes in the walls and there was an old band aide left on the bathroom floor. Whenever they AC was turned on the room smelled terribly like cat urine. The continental breakfast didn't offer cold cereal or even milk. Only had the choice of muffin, toast or oatmeal and no fruit was offered. To drink the choices were coffee, water, or some tang like drink. And I paid 168$ for this hell hole!

Review 76:Convenience to the falls. That's it!

Review 77:Trash in parking lot, cob webs in all stairwells and hallways and the sheets hadn't been changed before we arrived. The beds were made with dirt and hair in them from previous guests. We stayed at 4 different hotels during this vacation and this one was by far the worse.

Review 78:Staff was friendly and accommodated our date change. Location was great!

Review 79:The property is very dated and badly need renovation. I was very disappointed in that. Also, our reservation was cancelled when we go there.

Review 80:The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was so close to the venue of our event. That was a blessing in itself.

Review 81:Breakfast was very ordinary only toast no cereal.Room was quite small for 3, room smelt like stale cigarettes for a non-smoking hotel.Should have paid a little extra and stayed elsewhere. Photo of room on website far more impressive than actual.

Review 82:It was walking distance to Falls and restaurants. It was cheap.

Review 83:There was a toenail on the carpet in the room suggesting it had not been vacuumed. There was a very overpowering smell of cheap air freshener throughout the hotel. The bedside lights were temperamental and seeemed loose fittings; they wouldn't always switch off.

Review 84:Location and free parking. Breakfast was basic but just what was expected. The room was a reasonable size with two double beds.

Review 85:This was the worst hotel experience ever. I stayed there only because it was rated 3.5 stars and listed as good reviews. I found beds that were caved in, when we pulled back the comforter we found blankets burned by cigarettes and sheets with sloughed off skin all over, and dirt. The bathroom was dirty, dirt and hair on the floor and poop on the toilet. The pillow s did not have pillow covers on them only the pillow cases; the pillows had discoloration from slobber and one of them had what looked like dried blood. If anyone stays at this place they will need a HazMat crew to clean them to be able to go back home again!!

Review 86:This place was a total dump, if I was the owner I would refund our money and hang my head in shame. The room smelled like a mix between curry and piss, and if you didnt keep the ac cranked you would smell it. The motion sensing light switches didnt work. The toilet took 30 minutes to refill. All the fixtures in the bathroom were falling off. The water had 3 temps, cold, warm, and scalding. And I could go on and on...

Review 87:The ac worked.

Review 88:hotel not in good condition and free wifi never worked and continental breakfast consisted of toast and few muffins and juice. Didn't even bother

Review 89:Price decent

Review 90:The location was too far from the falls. The hotel was mediocre, it smelled and the hallways were dirty and very rough around the edges! I found hairs in the bathroom and the shower was creepy. We won't stay again!!!

Review 91:The staff was nice!

Review 92:Beds were a bit too firm. Room could have been a bit cleaner mainly the bathroom/shower. Parking lot very small.

Review 93:I did enjoy the in-room fridge and microwave. And the view from our room was beautiful at sunset. The distance to the falls and the casino were excellent. Short walk to the Falls. And the casino is basically in the "back yard" only a block away, behind the hotel. Staff was very friendly.

Review 94:The room was smelling and there was a problem with the toilet flash which was solved only after two days. The breakfast was poor, no fruits, no muesli, no cheese... Only coffee, toast and jam. It took a long time to change our booking when we checked in and asked if it was possible to stay one more day, we had to phone booking.com, who had to phone to the hotel again...we were tired and waited one hour until we got to our room, but the staff was friendly and helpful so that we didn't have to pay the additional fee booking.com wanted to make us pay for staying one night more! WiFi didn't work so good in our room.

Review 95:There where 2 beds in the room. The staff was friendly.

Review 96:The coffee in the reception area is just about as watery as it can be. While the room is okay, the staircase and corridors were very shabby. The reception area has some really worn-out sofas and the carpet really requires clean up.

Review 97:The room was good, just frugal but reasonably clean. No bath tub I did not need one anyway. But a bucket or something would have been better. You do not what the temperature of water is before you take shower.

Review 98:Restaurant next door

Review 99:The location of this hotel was good with only a 7 or 8 min walk getting you right to the Falls. The room was quite tired - leaky tap, loose fixtures, etc but functional although fairly small. Availability of free parking was a great benefit and the free wifi worked well. The worst thing was the Indian restaurant next door. We found our own seat as the greeter was on the phone and weren't offered a drink the whole time we were there. We made a start on the buffet with a few starter items then a whole coach party arrived and we couldn't get near the food again for the next 20 mins! Food was not that good and it was expensive.

Review 100:Very few restaurants around the area. There is an Indian buffet restaurant right here, but we were not in the mood for Indian food at Niagara Falls.

Review 101:Easy walkable distance to the Falls, and thus free parking.

Review 102:bathroom, especialy the tub needs some repairs, carpet should be cleanersheet kept rolling onto the bed all night long making it uncomfortable to sleep at times

Review 103:very close to the falls. staff very friendly. brakfast not so outstanding but toast, coffee, muffins, oatmeal did the trick. microwave and fridge in room very helpful. indian restaurant next door very good food

Review 104:Quite costly for the quality of hotel. Very out-dated; very noisy; people slamming doors all night long and the rooms were dirty. We even had dirty towels that were hanging up in our room. Not appreciated.

Review 105:It was walking distance to Niagra Falls

Review 106:The bathroom sink was leaking, and the room was not very clean when we got there. Not very much parking I'm sorry but for 165.00 a night I just expected a little more than just a room no hot water for me to be able to shower after my husband it was just a big disappointment.

Review 107:Location

Review 108:The bed was a typical hard motel bed with dated bedspreads, but I expected that. The breakfast was oatmeal, toast, muffins, coffee, and orange juice. Adequate, but a little more for the price would have been nice.

Review 109:Walking distance to the Falls, courteous staff, easy check in and out, the fact that they offered (some) breakfast at all. Free, easy parking.

Review 110:Well, breakfast was 6 to 9 am. We went at 8 am but muffins and fruits were already finished. No one was present to top refil. Wish drinking water (other than tap water)was available in hotel.

Review 111:The location is good. We just walked to all points of intetests.

Review 112:Breakfast didnt have the best selection.

Review 113:I loved the location, once you park you can walk the rest of the vacation. Walking distance to the falls, casino and restaurants.

Review 114:Had to replace our key card 4 times. Dripping faucet, leaking faucet, running toilet and outdated TV's. Parking was a pain. Staff was not friendly.

Review 115:Was close to the Falls. Easy walk or drive to goat island or park area.

Review 116:Old & smelly unkept outside attached to Indian restaurant ( part of same bldg) shared pkg w/ restaurant. Go across street to Hpliday Inn & pay the extra bucks!!

Review 117:Breakfast was terrible. The orange juice looked radio active, there was only one type of jam, the bread was cheap and tasteless. No fruit provided. The public areas were dusty and dirty. There were holes the carpets. Our shower floor was slimy and slippy. The whole property needs full renovation or demolition. Niagra USA is a very run down town. I would recommend staying on the Canadian side as it is much nicer.

Review 118:Location was close to the American Falls.

Review 119:Not even one Vending machines were not working. No Ice in machine. WiFi was not working. Breakfast did not even had corn flakes/cereals.

Review 120:Location was good

Review 121:Breakfast was meh, facilities were dated, and overall Niagara Falls is not a great city (not the hotels fault of course)

Review 122:It was affordable and very close to falls

Review 123:WIFI not good and breakfast not restocked as when we got there at 8.30am no bread for toast left

Review 124:Room was clean and location to Falls was perfect. Cost also good

Review 125:The parking was horrible. Our truck got dented by other vehicles and there were scratches previously not there. The breakfast is not a breakfast at all. It consisted of toast and cereal. We had to go out for breakfast which was an added expense not counted on.

Review 126:I liked the location to the attractions and the value of the rooms.

Review 127:Coffee not ready at breakfast, got some from checking lobby though Outside door could use new weather strip/guard on bottom of door. Breeze thru bottom

Review 128:TV lots of stations, wifi, close to casino Liked that had a tub

Review 129:Selection for breakfast was poor. Only bread for toast and one type of small muffin. Had packets of hot cereal, but no milk. No fruit or protein of any kind.

Review 130:Location was convenient to the location of my meeting. Staff was courteous and pleasant.

Review 131:We were unable to book a room where we usually stay so stayed here because it was so convenient. The building is pretty run-down, very basic

Review 132:great location, very inexpensive

Review 133:No parking, towels were small, beds were hard, tv was outdated, hallways were loud, door didn't look secure, no hair drier, lobby door was broke, no breakfast choices for anyone with a gluten allergy, and the hotel was run down.

Review 134:Rumor has it that the hotel is about to be converted from an Econo Lodge to a more "fancy" hotel, including adding more rooms. As a result, general maintenance appears lacking...such as stair treads, molding replacement, and other areas.

Review 135:Location is very good for access to Niagara Falls. The walk there took only minutes.

Review 136:Room was freezing, unpleasant oder,no towels had to call for some ,horrible breakfast ....i wouldnt even mention yu have a breakfast to serve you didnt have any hot food ,and definitely wasnt worth the money we paid to sleep there

Review 137:Balcony view was nice even in the winter, bed was comfortable to sleep on

Review 138:the hotel its a little old but nothing that makes you uncomfortable

Review 139:the hotel is very close from the niagara falls park. Its very comfortable, have a good, clean and private bathroom.

Review 140:A bit run down. Toilet tank took 4d minutes to re fill. Advertised free continental breakfast only tea, coffee, and muffins available.

Review 141:Close to casino, low rates

Review 142:The cleaning staff must have long black hair as it was in the bathroom in both rooms we were in. Rather disgusting. The beds were sunken in and the pillows were about as thick as a hand towel, even when you use 2. The continental breakfast was good except for the guest who felt when she needed to sneeze or cough she should lift the saran wrap off the bread and let everyone share her germs. But that is not the hotels fault.

Review 143:The girl at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The toilet wouldn't flush in our room and immediately she put us in another. She was very sympathetic and understanding. The location is great. The balconies on the second floor are fantastic for getting a bit of fresh air. Very secure. Continental breakfast was decent. Individual packed oatmeal was a good sanitary option.

Review 144:The hotel itself needs to be renovated. Looks and feels like a hotel that you will see in a scary movie. No breakfast! We ended up checking out 3 days earlier then our normal stay and going to a different hotel.

Review 145:8 years in counting. We do 3 vacations throughout the year and we decided to go to Niagara Falls. Location was great, casino is across the street and the falls is about a 10min walking distance! Manager at night was great. Updated our room once we arrived. Cleaning staff was also great.
