Review 1：The only problem we had was the water in the bathroom. I understand that it's cold yes snow ,but too hot that it is too impossible to shower no no. They sent Maintenance up right away but after a day the water now gets either too cold or too hot *sigh*

Review 6：The complimentary breakfast is great. Not the typical breakfast that you would get from ordinary hotels. You order from the menu on the back of the voucher that they will give to you upon checking in. Majority of the staffs are friendly and very helpful.

Review 7：The bathroom floor was not cleaned. There was hair and lint on the floor from the last clients and there was hair on top of the blow drier holder. We had 4 people in our room and our bathroom was stocked with only 3 bath towels. From California and was taken by how the entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke even though there were multiple air purifiers stationed along the walls and walk ways on the first floor, and possibly the second floor as well. Just not used to such a smokey smell and it made it uncomfortable.

Review 11：Ground level is under construction which I did not know. I am handicapped and had a difficult time climbing stairs and walking all the way around to access room. And there's is no smoking rooms, which I specifically requested. It was snowing heavily and getting dark out and had to take the room.

Review 12：even tho I had told the front desk on arrival that I'd already booked the next nite and I wanted the current nite, that did not get into the system and they called me the next day around noon to ask if I was still staying. they still had a room for us, but that did cause some stress.

Review 15：I was there to help a friend celebrate her birthday. She did good in her choosing as everything was right there at your facility- banquet room, a great Mexican restaurant for the night before, breakfast included was nice, and even a bowling alley for some diveriscation from the slots.

Review 19：The bed and bedding were perfect and so comfy. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Our room on the 3rd floor of the new wing was the largest we'd seen anywhere, and it had a beautiful view of a pasture with cattle.

Review 20：The staff!!! Everyone was VERY friendly and helpful. Needed some help locating some off the wall locations and they made my search successful. The hotel and casino were very clean and comfortable!!!

Review 21：Smoking is allowed in the gambling part of the hotel but not the rooms. However, one could smell smoke in the rooms and hallways. During check-in, they did not know about the Booking.com rate and tried to charge about $12 more. Fortunately, we had printed the reservation information and the front desk changed the rate accordingly. We thought that this was cheating on the part of Gold Dust West. Booking.com should fix this situation. We did not like that they charged a refundable $50 deposit. So far (a few days after the stay), we have not seen the deposit returned on our credit card.

Review 22：For our photo group outing, we stayed at several mediocre motels/hotels in the Owens Valley area during the previous week and the stay at the Gold Dust West was a very positive experience at the end of this event. The hot breakfast was very good and included in the room rate.

Review 32：It was central to most things to do in Carson City. Comfortable beds and a plethora of towels. But being attached to a casino it constantly smells like smoke even in the non-smoking rooms. Being from CA this bothers me a lot. No one in Nevada seems to notice and think I am peculiar for having an issue with the smell. There is a small fitness room. A plus when it is 103° outside. And a bowling alley not attached to the casino and mostly smoke free.

Review 33：In Nevada smoking is allowed and I really don't like smoking but that's the way it goes in that state and regarding breakfast they options are limited and you should be able to trade out a meet up soon for an extra egg or something without having to hassle about it

Review 36：We have stayed here 2 times now. Both times the room was great. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The Ole Ole Mexican restaurant had very good food and our server was awesome. At the Grill restaurant the service is not as good as Ole Ole but is still average. The entire facility seems to be very clean. I will stay here again.
