Review 1：No bad experience. Hotel is older and thus the low price. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 2：Desk staff was very friendly and even came to our room to help connect to wifi. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast included a good variety of hot and cold food. Coffee bar and breakfast room were excellent.

Review 14：Rooms were dirty; obvious mold in bathrooms (black), smelled of urine (in the first room assigned), like must in the second. The whole place should be REALLY cleaned.

Review 16：The staff person who worked day shift on sept 4th. He had worked for two weeks and could not tell us where our room was located and did not attempt to find out until I said there must be a map of the hotel. The first room he sent us to had not been cleaned. I feel he still needs a lot of supervision. The bathroom smelled of urine and after housekeeping cleaned it there was a smell of air freshener, but after an hour, it still smelled of urine.

Review 30：Being one of the first to arrive, we were placed on the 2nd floor. We proceeded to our room only to find out there was no elevator. Clerk should let us know ahead of time. I had a knee replacement recently and found it difficult to maneuver the stairs and luggage at the same time. Also the mirror on the door was not clean and there was only one package of coffee in the room which was decaf.

Review 33：the breakfast was over at 9:00AM. We were placed in the pet friendly end of the hotel. Wife's allergies acted up... they moved us to another area and all was okay. if not we would need to leave.

Review 37：the room and bathroom were in need of a makeover. When you paint walls it is good to clean off any residue that is on the tile that goes around the room. The towels were thin and worn and the soap was paper thin for bathing.

Review 57：Towels are shamefully and creepily yellowed. Obviously no bleach is used in cleaning these towels that are used by so many people. Best Western, get up to standards for washing and destroying germs, buy new towels, or whatever it takes to correct this glaring health problem for contagion! I developed a staph infection after a towel issue in BW Carney, MO. Shame, shame, shame on BW. I did not take a shower in Wytheville because towels were the same or worse than in MO. UNACCEPTABLE heath issue!! Cannot understand why it still exists. Does no one else notice and bring it to the attention of the management?
Review 58：Room was clean, carpet was new or very well cleaned. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard/good with adequate range of choices. Pets were welcomed!!!! Big draw for pet owners...and no evidence of damage or other indicators of pets.

Review 60：I did not like. From the outside the hotel looked clean. The beds were barely made. The room smelled. The noise was deplorable. Between the semi working toilet that never stopped running water to being kept awake all night and finally awoken by a child running above my head that started at 5:30 A m till I could get ready and out of there. While checking out i was never asked how was my stay. Poor hotel.
Review 61：I had recently stayed at a Best Western in Lanham, MD and was very disappointed to say the least. So when we were traveling south and needed to stop I was skeptical about staying at another Best Western but the price was in my ballpark. We got there at 11:30pm and the lady at the front desk could not have been more cheerful and helpful - it had been a long day but she made the ending awesome. I had to go down and get more towels and soap and she never complained. In the morning, the breakfast was outstanding and the front desk personnel were also fantastic. I was very impressed. Thank you for making the start of my vacation wonderful.
Review 62：We travelled from Canada and were extremely tired when we got there. The room we chose was on the 2nd floor and we had requested a 1st floor due to our age and some difficulties with carrying our luggage and the clerk on the desk immediately, when we saw our on-line request for 1st floor changed us to a room on the 1st floor close to exterior doors.... She was so kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and the attendant was most helpful and friendly. We will be returning to this location .
Review 63：You could hear the people eating in the next room. The room only 1 towel, 1 wash cloth. The air conditioner was broken and rattling, very noisy. The door to the room looked like it had broken into.

Review 65：Hotel was a little difficult to reach off of I-81. Design of Interstate and local highways and local roadways means a traveler driving south along I-81 has to exit I-81 in Wyethville and drive a circuitous route to get to hotel.

Review 69：We were offered a table that was about 12 x 18 inches for my father to sit at because he was in a wheelchair. Then the rest of the family would have to go up the steps to the raised eating area. Where everyone else sat for breakfast. Not sure what they would have done if there were two people in wheelchairs. I thought that the building had an elevator. All of our rooms were on the second floor. Thank goodness we got there early so that my father could be moved to a room on the first floor. The two ice machines did not work. one was leaking all over the floor. there were towels all over to catch the water. One soda machine would not take dollars and the other would not give you the soda. It rained the night we were there and the lobby was leaking in several places.

Review 72：This served as a halfway point on our trip to Myrtle Beach. Checkin wasefficient and clerk was very courteous. Breakfast was delicious (wafflemaker actually WORKED!)....but was so crowded by the time we left (730)there were no tables left. Easy access for gas and Interstate 77.

Review 75：No elevator. I am experiencing heart failure and had to go up a flight of stairs with luggage. Didn't think I was gonna be able to make it! Then ice was downstairs so that trip had to be repeated!!!!! Vanity height, in bathroom, was nearly too low to be workable. It was noticeable that this could be an exceptional place if only management and staff would go the extra mile to make it so. Breakfast was pitiful! Canned fruit cocktail!!! Couldn't use microwave due to refrigerator being plugged in so that microwave could not be plugged in.

Training is being redone for staff according to customer service for BW.

Review 97：Everything... breakfast was terrible. Egg disks and prefaced biscuits. Donuts and pastries you can buy at Sam's club. I understand your running a business in a tough economy but this is beyond cheap. Floors looked like they hadn't seen a vacuum in months. They threw some paint on the walls to make it look good, but the shoddy painting didn't cover up the ugly duckling. It's a shame but not everyone is cut out to own a hotel or run a business. Stick to what you, which obviously isn't hotel management.
Review 98：The location was just off the highway. Although the address on booking.com was incorrect when added to our GPS. It took us to the middle of a road in the opposite direction. Luckily the hotel owners must know because they posted a sign at the erroneous intersection.
