Reviews for Cortona Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort

Review 1:breakfast was very disappointing, the property was very old.

Review 2:Staff were outstanding, helpful and very accommodating with anything we needed. location was perfect, 5 busses within a half block made it perfect to get anywhere. Cant say enough about the staff, they were super!!

Review 3:The floors and the walls were so thin. It sounded like there was a herd of elephants that were running around upstairs.

Review 4:It was comfortable for the most part, good parking, spacious rooms and it was clean.

Review 5:The little things were missing. I generally do not need to pack shampoo as it is supplied, it was, but only a quarter the size of a normal hotel offering...not helpful for four adults. Breakfast was neither here nor there.

Review 6:Helpful staff. Great location with a Disneyland parking lot across the street. Easy ride to Disney attractions without the hassle or parking fees.

Review 7:Wish the room was a little bigger

Review 8:Forgot our tablet and the housekeeping turned it in the front office and somebody called us about it. So greatful that they cared enough to let us know. Thank you!!!

Review 9:My parents room had no hot water. My 10 year old daughter tripped and fell down the stairs in the morning because the lights went off. Why would you turn the lights off while it is still dark outside? When we asked the front desk they just said it is on a timer and they couldn't do anything about it. They acted like they didn't really care about my daughter falling either. I will never stay here again.

Review 10:Did not really like anything about the hotel.

Review 11:I don't know what was going on but right in front of the room was a big truck. As we arrived there were workers on an upper level throwing debris over to the truck that was also causing loud noise and lots of dirt and dust flying everywhere. This was also during Friday during our stay. I also called to see if anybody turned in a set of keys that consisted of a dodge black key and a 2 silver keys and was never given a call back.

Review 12:I like the location and the breakfast.

Review 13:Little musty smelling.

Review 14:Good location (close to Toy Story Lot), clean and beds are comfortable. It's an older property and it shows, but for the price you can't complain.

Review 15:The bed was way too soft. There is not enough parking...we had to park illegally.

Review 16:The close proximity to everything. The continental breakfast was nice.

Review 17:Very noisy above our room as well as right outside our door until very late at night. The hotel must have very thin walls

Review 18:Size of the room, location, friendly staff

Review 19:We needed pay per view stations so we could access current movies, and definitely needed more parking spaces unable to park Saturday night at hotel completely filled parked at Hyatt.

Review 20:Beds comfortable clean and easy access to Disneyland and restaurants

Review 21:We had to complain multiple times about our air conditioner not working. They didn't change it out until our last (3rd) night in the room. The room was not properly cleaned during our stay, the bottom of the toilet and back of toilet had hair and dirty spots, also dust build up in some areas of the bathroom like sink ledges and top of hair dryer holder. I have cleaned for a living for years and would've been written up for that. The breakfast was bad but free but can't be too mad about free breakfast. The room layout assured no privacy for the parents. We got a kids suite, the back room had a bunk bed and sofa bed, front room had king bed (for parents) and entrance to bathroom, so the kids were constantly coming in to our room to use the bathroom.

Review 22:It was walking distance to the park, had a nice small gift shop, and free breakfast

Review 23:There was bugs crawling into the outlets, and both rooms had a stuffy, musty smell that didn't go away. The smell of urine can be smelled from the bathroom.

Review 24:The location was good, you also provided free parking, breakfast, great staff, and wi-fi.

Review 25:The place was not as advertised, more of a motel than anything. That in itself is not an issue but the rooms were not inviting the amenities , less than I would have expected a piece of soap the size of a quarter was not suffice net for even one person

Review 26:Nothing

Review 27:Staff wasn't nice, room smelled weird because of the carpet, I called the front desk and nobody showed up after, water on bathtub didn't get through correctly and guestes were more nicer and helpful than the staff at the time of getting breakfast.

Review 28:I liked that is wasn't that far from Disney and pool was ok. Parking security by the ticket entrance. at the time of my check out, the manager was there and he was the only one from I received a smile and attention about my experience at the Cortona.

Review 29:Outside of building and walkway a little run down. The beds seemed to be full size instead of queen.

Review 30:Beds were really comfortable. Nice free breakfast-a lot of options to choose from.

Review 31:The parking is a little tight, you could use more of it.

Review 32:Rates are decent, rooms clean, like the fridge, coffee pot and microwave in each room, comfortable beds.

Review 33:Parking lot is not large enough, should tell patrons when they check in about the underground parking lot with the Hyatt next door.

Review 34:Quick check in and out. Friendly staff

Review 35:this hotel was a real disappointment. While the facility is clean and a good location from Disneyland, several things went wrong and staff was not very helpful. The first issue: the tub did not work. Not such a big deal but the front desk clerk told us none of the tubs worked. Then the a/c unit did not work. Again we were told it was working and would adjust to the room temp. A maintenance worker came and quickly realized it was not working. We're given another's room but no one came and bright is the new key. Had to go to the office. Told the manager would contact us, but never did. In the new room the tub worked. Go figure. Besides all that, the breakfast is horrible. One day they had a large bowl of gravy and pancakes. That was it. Yum!

Review 36:Comfortable beds

Review 37:Continental breakfast, hot food totally yuck, not a lot of fruit, or healthy stuff!

Review 38:Bed comfortable and clean, but typical motel atmosphere, no frills! Nice employees, but average hotel.

Review 39:I was ok , but parking can be a bit tight.

Review 40:Comfortable, good location within walking distance to attractions. Able to come back for a swim and rest before heading back to Disney for the late afternoon/ evening.

Review 41:Not comfortable, not clean, old, ground floor unit as if living in the parking lot. Booked for 14 nights, checked out after the 1st night.

Review 42:Location was next to Disney

Review 43:The breakfast need to be more varied. And the breakfast area is too small.

Review 44:The every day housekeeping, because some hotels in the resort area hasn't.

Review 45:Nite manager was aggressive, displayed emotional violence by slamming his hand hard against glass door, threated to call police to have my car towed despite evidence of free parking contract and legal parked. I refused to park illegally in emergency/fire red zones. I felt unsafe after that behavior. Management did not value my experience or concern for repeat business. serious disregard for importance of feeling safe where you choose to sleep.

Review 46:Great location. Place was clean. Most staff were pleasant and had awareness of importance of good customer service.

Review 47:All very minor complaints. Pool towels are tiny. Smokers not accommodated for so cigarette butts everywhere. Laundry driers broke down on 2 separate occasions during our 10 night stay.

Review 48:Most comfortable bed ever!!! Rooms were always very clean. Staff were helpful and went out of their way.

Review 49:Finding parking was a bit of a hassle just because I believe the hotel next door share the same small parking lot, but it's no big deal because the security officer will accommodate you somehow.

Review 50:Stayed in a suite for 6 people found it very comfortable and spacious and also very simple (not necessarily a bad thing for the price I paid.) Cleanliness was a plus along with the free breakfast. The breakfast isn't anything fancy but it's pretty good.

Review 51:Breakfast could be alittle better, last year they had yogurt, this year although they had plenty something to grab and go would be great.

Review 52:great stay! Love their beds! Perfect for convention. We have stayed for the last three years each year has been great.

Review 53:The breakfast was terrible. Donuts doggy. Too busy. Should have another toaster. The waffles were ok day one. Day two on a Monday had a much smaller selection of foods. Donuts still soggy. So if you want a breakfast with your stay this isn't the hotel for you. I was with my family of 9 and everyone had something negative to say about the breakfast. I am not a breakfast eater so I was ok. But my dad is diabetic and had to eat and he was not impressed. The eggs tasted powdery to him. Oh well not gonna let a breakfast spoil our fantastic trip.

Review 54:The location is about a half mile to Disney at least. Not too bad. It is actually across the street from a Disneyland parking lot. That being ok it is a bit further than I would have liked for my dad to walk but he survived. I love the the free WIFI. Gift shop was ok. Hot tub was good. Snails near the pool loved it. The staff was really nice. The rooms were clean and not old. The grounds were nice as well. I felt safe. No issues. We had a room and a suite. Pool was a bit chilly so no swimming for us.

Review 55:The rooms were in need of a touch up. The furniture was clean but seemed outdated and didn't seem to fit into what you would expect at a hotel.

Review 56:The pool was fun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Review 57:Breakfast could have been better. It was free, but it changed daily. Some days were better than others. Outside was really run down.

Review 58:We were walking distance to the convention center. There was a bus service for the area for a small fee. They cleaned the rooms daily.

Review 59:Wi-Fi is week, needs a little bump in coverage. If I stayed by window I had better signal, by back of unit it dropped in and out. Had to devices, both had trouble. The property is a little aged but all and all I liked it.

Review 60:Loved staff. Very nice facilities, and clean all the way around. But the smiles, the friendliest people, most helpful people. I really like them and they made stay worth it.

Review 61:The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and the pool was nice. The Jr. suite was very nice for our family. All and all we had a very nice time

Review 62:I asked for a nice view and my window was directly in front of a wall next to the laundry room. There was noise coming from the laundry room most of the night. The walls seem paper thin, I could hear noise coming from the people in the room above us and all outdoor noise. To make matters worst the laundry room collector came in before sunrise to empty out the coins. The coin noise was so unbearable that I opened the door and asked the guy if he could come back at a later time because we were trying to sleep. He said he was done collecting. We got absolutely no sleep. The hotel room was not very clean. The sink was dirty the door to the restroom was filthy and there were a lot of spots that needed to be cleaned. The complimentary breakfast was digusting. Everything tasted old, the only thing that tasted good was the oatmeal and pasteries. I would most definitely not stay here ever again. I asked to speak to the manager in regards to my concerns but there manager out on a family emergency. The staff did not offer an alternate person to speak to. I had to dig and figure out who the acting manager was. After speaking to the acting manager she gave us half off on our stay. We were so exhausted the next day that we did not enjoy our trip to Disney.I would have rather stayed in a better hotel rather than getting half off. Don't waste your time here, it's not worth your money.

Review 63:Free parking but we had to park very far.

Review 64:the customer service was terrible. My family and I drive for 5 hours to get to this hotel. We got there10 minutes before 3pm and we had to wait to check in, after waiting for over 20 minutes we left to go to the Hyatt place.

Review 65:the location of the hotel was very close to Disney

Review 66:Walls are pretty thin if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast not to good but what do you expect for free. If you're counting on using free WiFi don't. It's too slow or doesn't work at all. No premium movie channels but not really a big deal as we were gone most of the day. I might stay here again but for the price I may try a higher end hotel. This is more like a motel.

Review 67:I liked the separate rooms. My kids enjoyed having their own space. There is good access to ART shuttle. Close proximity to Disney Land too far to walk for small children.Close proximity to restaurants. Plenty within walking distance.Free parking. I recommend leaving car if staying at park late because spaces run out. Hotel had great discounted tickets up to $19 off per person. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall my family enjoyed our stay.

Review 68:When we got to the room there was no key to the safe, when I called for the key they said I would have to come and get myself - I thought they should have brought it since it was not offered at check in. Also the water in the sink had a terrible odor.

Review 69:The location was great, breakfast was good - thank goodness there was not a waffle maker, it always takes way too long to get breakfast when everyone is trying to make their own waffles.

Review 70:The rooms smelled horrible. Very damp. We had the doors open as much as possible to air them out.

Review 71:The proximity to Disneyland and shopping. Loved the adjoining rooms

Review 72:Waited over 1 hour to get my room not convnient with toddler. I had to personally call booking.com customer service to get my reservation emailed to cortona inn to get my room they needed confirmation. The front desk girl named Dulce was not helpful at all I felt unwelcomed.

Review 73:The cleaness of the room

Review 74:The room smelled slightly musty/mildew. The prices were too high for the value. Not sure if all the rooms are the same, but the pics on the website are not accurate.

Review 75:It was near the convention center.

Review 76:the food they offered was cheap with very low nutritional value - would do you more harm than good...

Review 77:Free Breakfast is a good offering - it means that people can leave the hotel ready to get on with their day.

Review 78:Nothing.

Review 79:We loved everything. When we got there our room that we had reserved they ran out of, but they found a way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. It was so stress free there and my daughter who is 2 1/2 years old loved it there and was running around and just so happy. Honestly the best stay ever. We would book with them again, because it was just so wonderful there. It was pure comfort too.

Review 80:We loved our stay at this Cortona inn and suites! We came for Disneyland and some nice relaxing family time. Our room was amazing for the price and the beds were so comfortable! Flat screen tv refrigerator coffee maker nice everything. The pool and hot tub were great the gift shop was good! And the best part free breakfast! Nothing fancy but still yummy and best part free! And it's more then cereal and pastries. We loved the biscuits and gravy and sausage sandwiches.

Review 81:The breakfast buffet could be better.

Review 82:Staff were very friendly and always helpful. A small shop for essentials and souvenirs; nice pool for relaxing at the end of the day. Good location for Disneyland and theme parks +surrounding sites. Good sized rooms - basic but clean.

Review 83:Asked desk about free shuttle. They gave us information but did not give us passes or tell us we needed passes to board.

Review 84:Housekeeping staff very friendly.

Review 85:I loved the location because you could see the fireworks from the hotel and the room was to my liking, very comfortable beds. It was perfect. Easy and fast check in.

Review 86:The first two days the elevator was not working, but was fixed. The hotel doesn't have room service. We still love it.

Review 87:The breakfast is very good and suits all my family. The king suites are so comfy for a family without neglecting privacy. It's it so close to everything. Amusement parks and restaurants. We stay here every year.

Review 88:Lack of customer service, maintenance, was locked out of our room until 1:30 and recieved no help moving rooms, they lie and it was in no way worth the cost.

Review 89:The kids suite we reserved was overbooked. The room we got was ok. The bathroom was too small and there was a funny smell in the room.

Review 90:The staff were friendly and close to the park.

Review 91:There was no fitness center, and the gift shop had unusually sporadic hours.

Review 92:Clean, comfortable rooms close to a variety of stores and restaurants. Great value for the price.

Review 93:Making sure you make it to breakfast before cut off time.

Review 94:Great location to walk or just go to disney shuttle which is across street. Just make you get to breakfast before cut off time. No problems here.

Review 95:Couldn't open the back window to let fresh air flow through the room

Review 96:The staff were great. Always friendly and helpful. The kids loved the heated pool and spa after a long day at Disney.

Review 97:One half step above a motel 6. We've stayed all over Anaheim and for the money we paid, we could've easily stayed at Hilton, Hyatt and Sheraton with a real breakfast and free shuttle to Disneyland. People smoking (cigarettes and pot) at 8 a.m. in the walkways didn't help. Having to schlep our bags up stairs wasn't exactly a plus either. There

Review 98:The location was good and the parking lot felt secure.

Review 99:Something was horribly wrong with the plumbing. There was water coming up from the tiles in the bathroom. Water leaking from the handles of the spa tub. There was a HORRIBLE loud sound that sounded like a category 5 hurricane going on at 2am in the morning.

Review 100:really liked the breakfast. Comfortable beds

Review 101:we traveled with the family and having two rooms made it very enjoyable for both the children and adults. The kids had fun watching tv in their living space. Having the bunk beds was also fun for them. The hotel room was clean with comfortable beds. The proximity of the hotel to Disneyland and restaurants was a plus.

Review 102:Small "Junior Suite", lots of ants in the room, poor quality continental breakfast, extremely slow wi-fi.

Review 103:Location, price, comfy bed, helpful staff.

Review 104:Small dining area meant it could be tricky to get a table at breakfast time. Breakfast was plentiful but not very healthy (kids didn't mind!).

Review 105:Easy 10 min walk to Disneyland. Simple, clean comfortable rooms. 2 bedroom suite ideal for family. Comfy bed to crash after long day at Disney.

Review 106:Easy walk to Disneyland, safe neighborhood at 11PM. Close to busline. Quiet, cozy, private, clean, comfortable. Nice breakfasts. pleasant staff. Early arrival, allowed into room at once. Willing to go the extra mile.

Review 107:No parking on ground level starting 10pm. The wifi was slow and hard to log into. Room wasn't ready at 3pm check-in time

Review 108:Last minute decision to visit disneyland and needed a cheap place to stay close by. Lots of food near by but wished there was a listing for coffee!

Review 109:Shower head popped off when turned the shower on. Maintenance came to fix it. Wifi was a bit dodgy had to keep reconnecting. Breakfast was ok- not much room in dining room. Same food each day

Review 110:Staff ready to help. Would call taxis for us. Pool towels supplied.

Review 111:Bathroom too small, and toilet set up not good, right in front of door. They don't put liners in trash containers

Review 112:The room was clean and roomy, beds were very comfortable, amenities in room were okay .Breakfast was good, convenient gift shop.Easy walk to Disneyland and gated it parking lot.

Review 113:You will hear early morning commotion from people leaving and the rooms being cleaned but if you're a deep sleeper like me its not a big deal. Other than that it was a great stay.

Review 114:Rented a room for 3 days to enjoy a 3 day visit to Disneyland. The room we got was very clean and very fresh in temperature. We knew we would only be there to sleep, so a comfy bed was a must. Cortona Inn definitely provided that for us. Clean sheets no hair.. no mess.. and no fuss. Oh and free parking! I went through alot of hotels a bit fancier juat to find out they charge 16 a day for parking. So this was a deal! Didn't try the complimentary breakfast because the room comes with a microwave and mini fridge so we brought our snacks and heated our meals (money saver when you're at Disneyland for 3 days) and we slept so comfortable we would sleep in! The staff was great, very friendly and very accomodating ..we even decided to stay an extra day. We made this place our go-to spot when coming to Disneyland for the weekend.

Review 115:Old fashioned and noisy ac/heater unit.

Review 116:Rooms were clean with recently renovated counter tops and modern bedding and TV. For the price it was safe and clean.

Review 117:The wifi that they offer was shoty at best, we weren't able to use it at all.

Review 118:I really enjoyed the shirt distance from Disneyland, we were able to take the shuttle and a taxi for cheap and we were able to escape the unusually hot October weather midday and come back to the parks after

Review 119:Wifi kept cutting out , may have it's been the location of the room. Breakfast was to busy

Review 120:We were changes to the suite room which was spacious and bed was very comfortable

Review 121:i didnt like that our first room was not clean and smelled different , but they fixed the problem and gave us a different room right away .

Review 122:I liked that it was walking distance to disneyland and restaurants.

Review 123:Housekeeping came knocking on our door at 10am and checkout wasn't until 11am. I didn't appreciate that, we were still in bed. We were woken up. Also the TV in the main bedroom wasn't working, my boyfriend had to fix it himself. Poor service

Review 124:The price was fair for the room.

Review 125:Not many breakfast tables and ran out of some food. Little bit far from Disney parks at the end of the day.

Review 126:Loved the room set up for our family with three kids, sent them to bed after Disneyland exhaustion then had some space to ourselves. Really appreciated early room occupancy after huge travel day.

Review 127:They had a pile of dirt in front of the sign so I couldn't see the hotel sign. I almost drove right past it.

Review 128:Location was great about 3 blocks from Disneyland entrance. We took the ART bus it was $5 a day for adults and $2 for kids. The breakfast was good, we waited about 2 min for a table. The beds had pillow tops on them, they were pretty comfortable. The room had plenty of space.

Review 129:Best value for the money BY FAR! VERY CLEAN! !!!! Best part is that the entire hotel got brand new beautyrest mattresses in September 2014!!!! I actually saw them unloading the brand new mattresses. I will always stay here now.

Review 130:The bed was pretty uncomfortable. Leaning on my elbows, I felt multiple springs through the mattress pad. The sheets weren't deep enough to stay on the mattress. I wouldn't book a room at the regular price.

Review 131:The staff was pleasant. The rooms were clean enough. The pillows were not horrible.

Review 132:Wife fell at hot tub do to black mold and heavely brused her elbow may have fractured this happened on our first night. Beds hard as rock poor sleep plus bad parking not worth what was paid . I travel a lot with my company and have stayed at motel 6 s better. The desk clerk was all that saved our stay as he comp one night.

Review 133:Good location for Disney bad parking

Review 134:Only flaw, we had a room right by the stairs, so we were able to hear the foot traffic of others coming up and down. We were also able to hear the shower of the room next to us. A little annoying when others like to shower at 12 at night.

Review 135:We were on a budget, so it was a good price. A nice little walk to Disneyland, about 10-15 minutes. The bed was really nice. Air conditioner not too loud

Review 136:Cortona was exactly what we were looking for! Reasonably priced and included free breakfast and free parking. Close enough to walk to Disneyland (15-20 minutes) and they let me park there all day while we were at the park. The staff was friendly and helpful and they had free Wi-Fi. Our room also had a good sized fridge and microwave.

Review 137:The let down was the "complimentary delux breakfast". There was nothing delux about it. We walked in the first morning and walked straight back out again. The selection was pitiful and nothing looked at all appetizing. We ended up walking into Downtown Disney for breakfast each morning. I probably wouldn't rush to stay here again, unless I had no other option.

Review 138:My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while I ran the Disneyland half marathon. The location was convenient for Disneyland, about a 15 minute walk to the park. The rooms weren't anything spectacular but they were clean and comfortable.

Review 139:The hotel carpet was a little dirty and towel was old but other than that everythings else was fine.

Review 140:I like the fact that restaurants and gas stations are nearby. The breakfast was a plus to us and loved it. The theme park is a short drive from the hotel. I don't recommend walking to Disneyland but driving is not bad. I really appreciate the hotel was able to accommodate my requests and Thank you very much for doing that. I ask to have a room close to the swimming pool because my 8 yrs old son loves to swim and they gave us a room very close to the pool.

Review 141:The rooms STING! Have an AWAFUL smell. Smells like sewage, or like you're living in a toilet! I read this as part of the reviews, but did not imagine it would be that bad. My wife actually developed nausea and headache from the smell! I initially booked to stay for 8 nights, but had to terminate my booking after the 1st night and switch to a better hotel for that very reason. Also, there is no room service at all! No restaurants on site! Wifi is very slow and interrupted. Would rather have paid wifi or use your own data. Rooms lack privacy as the door opens right on the hallway, and ppl can walk right in front of your door step. If you open the curtains, you will be exposed to everyone. Breakfast runs 6.30-9.30 only and is very poor in quality. Take home msg: do not be deceived by the FREE breakfast, wifi, parking, and relatively cheeper price. Put some more cash and stay somewhere liveable!

Review 142:Location is good, on Harbour blv, near cafes, restaurants and Disney. Free wifi and parking. Rooms are clean.
