Reviews for Coronada Inn & Suites

Review 1:The noise from upstairs was awful. You could hear the little kids running around all night, dragging chairs across the tile etc. The worst part however were the cockroaches. Not cool.

Review 2:The room itself wasn't bad. Good central location.

Review 3:Found to many cockroaches running around made the family not feel comfortable.

Review 4:It was available at the last minute and we were able to reserve during our travel.

Review 5:The pool was broken and I was told it had been broken for a week and half; my kids were totally bummed. I was charged an extra $5 in taxes upon checking in. I realize it's only $5, but it's frustrating that I booked through this website and thought I paid for everything here, only to be nickel and dimed upon check-in. Our room had a sofa with a pullout sleeper in it, but according to hotel policies there is an extra charge to have someone sleep on it. What's the point of having it?! Also, there was an envelope in the room on the nightstand with a penciled message asking for tips... totally tacky.

Review 6:We paid quite a deal for a suite! It came as a surprise as we booked the room and found that it came with a full kitchen with a microwave, regular sized refrigerator, gas stove with oven, four person dining table, couch and two queen beds. Plus, they have free breakfast! The stuff were very good, gentle and helpful. I really liked this place. If we didn't have other bookings confirmed, we would have stayed back for more days just because it was such a great place. They also have a heated pool that many people enjoyed during this chilly November nights. Overall, I would like to come back for longer stay at this hotel.

Review 7:Beds were excessively hard.

Review 8:They were remodeling bathrooms. Ours had not been dine yet and the shower fell apart while we were showering. We notified management.

Review 9:It was run down, one of the beds looked broken, the toilet wouldn't flush. The breakfast was very minimal and when I went to check out the clerk was practically passed out on the couch in the lobby. I told him I was checking out and I tried to hand him my key cards and he told me to set them on the counter that his back hurt too bad to get them from me.

Review 10:It could be cleaned better, floors, fridge, glassware were all pretty gross.

Review 11:The retro room it was perfect!!! So spacious and had 2 separate bedrooms a very large living area and kitchen!! We had an amazing time and will be staying again:)

Review 12:The late checkout was 11:30 we were running a marathon so we had to check out prior to the race and couldn't shower. There was a stain on the ceiling above our bed that was something brown. Kind of gross to fall asleep and wake up to. A cheap place for a clean bed and no shower. We never used any other hotel facilities while staying there.

Review 13:It was a very quick trip.

Review 14:There was an odor as soon as we opened the door and there were bugs in the bathroom. Lots of them! Washed and dried everything the minute I walked into my own home

Review 15:This place is no 5-star hotel. It's old and in need of remodeling in many rooms.

Review 16:This is a good place to stay for a quick overnight stay. We spent less than 12 hours here and it was perfect for our needs. Perfect location, great that it comes with a full kitchen.

Review 17:Even though there is a kitchen, no kitchen utensils nor plates are provided.

Review 18:We stopped there on our way from Zyon to Vegas. Room was big and there was a living room and kitchen. Level of cleanliness is ok.

Review 19:Dirty shower. The kitchen wasn't stocked with plates and utensils. Toilet didn't flush but it was fixed right away. Pool was filthy. Terrible breakfast.

Review 20:Wifi was good. Quiet and comfortable room.

Review 21:... the toilet completely stopped up, the plunger was completely useless and there were roaches in the bathroom. The Health Department should be notified.

Review 22:Price and location was good, but ...

Review 23:Rated 4 star? a joke. Place was filthy, second hand store furniture, sunken mattress, smelled of smoke and disinfectant. Unprofessional office clerk

Review 24:Not one single thing.......

Review 25:IIt was poorly maintained (one of the beds was broken), not very clean with bugs in the sink. Everything was beat up and worn. It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. I arrived late, otherwise I would tried for a refund and attempted to find an alternate hotel. If you screen your facilties and want minimum standards for those made with Booking.com, you should take this hotel off your list.

Review 26:The manager at reception was extremely unhelpful. The hotel is very run down, dirty, smells nasty and old. Cockroaches in the rooms. Duct tape in various places holding things together...in general, a nightmare!I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 27:Probably the best motel where we spent our time while travelling at the US. Really nice, clean and spacious room. In the area is possible to wash laundry, there is functional hot tube :) and clean indoor pool. Rich breakfast including possibility to make fresh waffles. And the price? Perfect!!

Review 28:The first room they gave me was infested with roaches. The second room was clean and roach free but it was hard to get over the first room. My family slept on sheets they bought at Walmart.

Review 29:I like the location close to everything.

Review 30:Other people which stayed in during the night.. a lot of workers, who were drinking and smoking outside during night.

Review 31:Size of the room, cleaness, very helpfull staff in the front desk.

Review 32:THE PEOPLE ABOVE US KEPT US AWAKE MOVING FURNITURE TILL EARLY MORNING AND WHEN WE COMPLAINED, THE MANAGER NEEDED A 2ND CALL FROM US TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

Review 33:Poorly maintained facilities and beds. Cockroaches abound and the floors were filthy.

Review 34:Cockroach alert! What a dirty place. We noticed when we arrived that there was an envelope on the night stand asking for tips for the housekeepers. We did not tip as the floor was so dirty we felt we had to wear shoes so the bed did not go black from our feet. Also, the tub had several strands of hair in it from previous guests. Yuck. Then, I got up in the middle of the night to find cockroaches in the kitchen. Gross. The next day I asked for a refund because we did not want to stay our additional nights. The refund was refused but we were offered another room that was supposed to be bug free. It wasn't but I clogged the drains with towels to keep the buggers out. Also, the TV in this room was out. There was a new one but I had to set it up myself. Steer clear of this location!

Review 35:Pull out bed was broke ... Pool was freezing... Tv was about to fall off the stand.. No remote for the tv... And bathtub had a leaking problem.. Also breakfast was pathetic.

Review 36:Just the air conditioner too much noisy,we weren't able to fall asleep easily.

Review 37:The room appliances and kitchen space and amenities were perfect to stay at St.George.

Review 38:We found dead bugs under the matteress and the staff member we should said it was not a bug but a piece of lint. I know what a bug looks like and to top it all off we showed him all the hair that was under the sheet cover and he said it was the washing machines fault. we asked for another room and inspected it throughly while he watched.

Review 39:That is came with a kitchenette

Review 40:There were cock roaches. There was a very dirty mirror. Dirty sheet andthe carpet was filthy. The cooler was in the bedroom so the kitchen areawas hot. There is no sink in the kitchen..The pool was old and ugh! Thenight management didn't understand. They offered a better stay thenext time but for sure there will never be a next time.

Review 41:The location

Review 42:The room was a mess. Pills on the floor and metal edging sticking out from the walls. The pool looked like it had something growing in it. The staff was terrible and would not accommodate us in any way.

Review 43:Nothing. We didn't end up staying because it was so bad.

Review 44:The indoor swimming pool was not look very friendly.

Review 45:The room was very big, it actually consist of 2 rooms. Localization is very good for those who travel to Zion Park.

Review 46:they need touch up paint on the floor moldings and front door and the restroom.moldings, it makes the place look dingy which it really isn't.

Review 47:I love when we came in at almost one o'clock in the morning, we were greeted by the front desk that had a smile for us! who smiles at one o'clock in the morning? Haha he was very friendly and welcoming. That is refreshing!. For the price that we got this for it really is a good place. the bedding on the bed is beautiful. the place was spotless! They had granite countertops,

Review 48:Everything

Review 49:We could not get Internet except for 2 minutes which we really needed oneither of our I Pads or on my tablet which effected our trip greatly. They did not get Internet at the office either when they tried. They didnot apologize or offer any compensation. The office had a horrible smellto it. Our room had a bad smell, but not as bad as the office. We couldnot eat breakfast, because of the dirty conditions. Our room was indesperate need of cleaning of the walls, and baseboards. The maids did adecent job, but our overall experience was awful. Worst place we haveever stayed at. It advertised 3 stars which should have been half astar. It was a extended stay place that catered to low income people. Iwill never stay there again. And advise you to take them off your siteas it reflects on you. Doug

Review 50:No pets. Strict policy, $300 charge if violated. Though I didn't askpolicy on service animals. Though the room was clean, the jacuzzi waterappeared dirty.

Review 51:Clean! Huge value for money. I've slept at hotels far moreexpensive and recieved less amenities. Spacious; kitchen dining areaand hide-a-bed- couch.

Review 52:The room wasn't luxurious, but for the price what are you expecting. We did find two beer caps in plain sight as well as a roach in the tub. What bothered me, was the thin walls and conjoining door. We heard our "neighbor" music being played in the 'living area'.

Review 53:For the price of a queen room, you also have the amenities of having your own kitchen and fridge, it's definitely worth the price. Room is separated from kitchen with a door, so added security, muffled outside noise and light.

Review 54:Everything! Staff were very friendly beds were super comfortable got a kitchen area with fridge, oven and sink make your own waffles for breakfast! pool crazy cheap

Review 55:the hotel staff were rude and left in our room a discharged envelope we a request for tips. The room had a broken aircon unit ,the TV facia was hanging off ,as for breakfast the staff started putting food away and clearing tables making all very uncomfortable one poor family with small children were made to rush not nice

Review 56:the location was convenient

Review 57:Wasn't very clean! Needs remodeled! Loud people banging the furniture at 2:00 A.M. In the room above us!

Review 58:Indoor pool was nice! Location is good!

Review 59:This place is out of a bad dream! Filthy, run down right red walls with old fashioned dirty needle point from the 1960s pictures with broken frames, roaches, the bathroom was unmentionable, toilet was so gross! The handicapped seat in the tub was black with dirt stains I went to the store and sprayed it with Clorox clean up before I could use it to sit on. But the worst part of the whole room was the beds! What a joke! They were proped up with a smaller box springs under the mattress and around that it was stuffed with rags. When my husband sat on the bed the mattress flipped up and caved in the hole! Iwas a room out of motel hell! I give up picking decent hotels! This place was a joke! The kitchen I would not touch anything in there. The state of Utah needs to investigate this place.

Review 60:Location

Review 61:gaps around and under the door. gaps around the ac unit. could see outside thru it. old and run down. worn out bed. to crowed parking. ice machine didnt work. noisy. and to hot in room. little ac unit couldent cool whole room

Review 62:the guy at the desk was friendly

Review 63:A couple of your rooms over the years have needed some work and the one this year did not have a kitchen or full size refrigerator, but we worked thru that with our ice chest.

Review 64:Most of your rooms are nice and your hotel is conveniently located to Dixie College where our convention is held.

Review 65:It had roaches and the freezer was full of ice I could'nt use it. Nor did the fridge ever get cold.

Review 66:The room was cleaning and felling. It was a good centralize loction.

Review 67:The bathroom was small. The breakfast area was crowded and too busy to be comfortable. The food was passable, but could have been better.

Review 68:I liked the size of the rooms. Even though we did not use the kitchen facilities it was nice to know they are there for another visit. I liked the price and the reservation procedure.

Review 69:There were Zombies. The breakfast room was so hot we couldn't eat there. The kitchenette was missing lots of dishes and utensils. The bathroom is very small. There were no washcloths. The ironing board was not usable. Really old TV that we didn't use.

Review 70:They are working hard to get the place looking nice. The mural on the wall was beautiful. The storage space in the bedroom was great.

Review 71:The disrepair and filth, plus the smoking and noise outside up and down the balcony. The pool is poorly lit and not clean.

Review 72:Location and the fact that two suites were connected so we could be together

Review 73:Room was kind of hot. Air wasn't working too good. Top lock on door was broken. Place where breakfast was was crowded, hot, and muggy.

Review 74:Price was right for a place to stay overnight. Queen suite was spacious.

Review 75:Reserved a two bedroom apartment. When we got there, it was obvious thatit had not been cleaned well, if at all (the dishes were dirty and hadbeen shoved in the oven, among other problems), and a woman decided togo skinny dipping in the pool; in broad daylight and in plain view ofeveryone. We called the manager multiple times regarding the room, andafter the second call they sent someone to look at it. They agreed thatthe room wasn't clean and refunded most of our money immediately. Wefound somewhere else to stay.

Review 76:I stayed in this hotel a few years ago, and loved it! The price, location, and amenities were a great value. Unfortunately, that is notthe case anymore.

Review 77:First off when my wife and I checked in at about 4 pm ,their check-in is 2 pm, we went to our room and the cleaners were still on there as well as a screaming child so we left. Came back later at 6 pm and finally put our stuff in the room and headed out for the night. The first thing I found when we came back at 11:30 pm was a medium sized cockroach on the night stand. The. Upon further inspection found a few smaller cockroaches in the bathroom so, since this motel doesn't offer refunds we just stayed the night and left the next morning.

Review 78:The free breakfast

Review 79:Old, inadequate furniture, wasted space; no table or chair to eat or use laptop. Security = zero, security chain/lock disabled. Lady at reception acted as she is a customer paying bill, and I should be grateful she allowed me in her hotel.

Review 80:Not much!

Review 81:Too pricey for what it provides...there was an odor in the suite...does not fit the booking description...sets of pots and pans were incomplete so unable to prepare meals. Only bowls and small plates...no coffee cups, only two glasses, no utensils. Beds and couch were over 15 years old or they were bought at a goodwill or very used furniture store. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. The pillows had a bad smell. AC window units were old but worked...but wires were on the floor. Unable to get good phone or wireless reception...kept dropping calls. The heated indoor pool had no furniture to sit on, and the water was gross.

Review 82:Location...easy access.

Review 83:When we arrived late there were many people hanging around outside the place making it look rather grungy. Apparently they rent by the week so these people were just hanging out. Our stay was quiet and comfortable in spite of the gangland atmosphere outside.

Review 84:The units have small kitchens and are relatively quiet and clean.

Review 85:Breakfast and breakfast room needs improvement.

Review 86:Older hotel that had been refurbished. The hotel was clean and in a convenient location. It was also quiet.

Review 87:Broken lock, lights by bed did not work, stained carpet, tile floor sticky, dirty, toilet nasty dirty, noisy.looked like it might have been section 8 housing.

Review 88:Nothing.

Review 89:no stopper in the lavatory, tea bags but no hot water at breakfast, tv did not work initially but was fixed when ni complained, no tea or coffeein the room.

Review 90:Changed rooms twice. Finally gave up and left. 1st room had an odd brownish color to the walls and I realized it was actually dirt. One of the beds looked like someone had just been woken up and told to get out before we got there. I expected to see a chalked outline of a body on the stained floor. The beds(three of them)in the second room were covered in so much human hair, I assumed a wig maker had stayed there the previous night. After inspecting the bathroom we David Copperfielded it.

Review 91:The staff dealt with our complaints and our refund politely.

Review 92:The WIFI NEVER worked. The air conditioner quit working during the night and we had to wiggle the plug to get it started again. While I showered, a very strong natural gass smell came in to the room. Rather scary

Review 93:The bed was pretty comfortable.

Review 94:I stayed in a non-smoking room, but it smelled like someone had smoked in there recently, it was bad. On the wall where the fire alarm should have been, there was a hole with wires coming out. I'm sure this is not even legal.

Review 95:The bed was comfortable.

Review 96:Table not level, no windows in bedrooms, noisy AC units, snowy TVs and none in main bdrm., blankets on beds too small and very worn w/holes, no radio/alarm.

Review 97:My husband and son enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Review 98:Wifi did NOT work. All I wanted to do after a long drive was watch Netflix and Skype my fiancé. Nope. Also, although there was a deadbolt, the other latch on the door was broken. Some dirt stains on the sheet.

Review 99:Big room. Lots of space. No light comes through in the morning which is great for me. Waffle maker.

Review 100:Breakfast could be better but there is an waffle maker and for only a day or two more then enough

Review 101:Rooms where clean, nice big bed and all in all a really nice stay in a very friendly down. Close to a shopping mall and more then enough restaurants

Review 102:The fridge was not plugged and didn't seem to work even after plugged in. There was nothing provided in the kitchen.

Review 103:Efficient and friendly staff who helped us with check-in.Very spacious!

Review 104:The parking I think longer bed trucks should park on the road and not take up 6 spaces of parking. There should be a sign saying one stall per vehicle.

Review 105:The price was perfect.

Review 106:We had a great experience and the value is awesome. I was surprised when I opened my door that there was a couch with an extra TV, kitchen table, oven, large fridge, kitchen sink, cupboards. THEN the bedroom room had tons of shelves for us to put our stuff to keep off of the floor. Also, the WiFi worked very well unlike other hotels/motels I have been to.and also a great pool. Super fun. Great stay!

Review 107:The room needs a deep cleaning and paint job with caulking and sealing. More towels and shampoo for each day's use.

Review 108:Two areas for guests in a large room--a sleep area with two Lauren beds, a vanity, and a TV. Bathroom located here. Another area with kitchen facilities a pullout couch and TV. Lots of room.

Review 109:The first room we were assigned had not been cleaned. The beds were unmade and had been slept in and the towels had been used. We were issued a new room that had been cleaned.

Review 110:The price was right

Review 111:There were too many transients hanging around outside. My husband wasbothered everytime he went out to the car.

Review 112:Great price for clean room. The bed was comfortable, but the peoplehanging around outside at all hours of the night/early morning mademee nervous. I would definitely not stay here if I was traveling alone.

Review 113:This is an extended stay. The pace was okay but the people who were extended staying were trash. Had five small children with me and left hotel room for breakfast to hear extremely fowl language.

Review 114:Nice size kitchen and had two beds plus sofa bed available for $5.00 dollars more

Review 115:The first room we were given had a musty smell. No plastic cups. No ice bucket. We asked to see another room! It also had no cups. It had an ice bucket but no liner. The bed felt comfortable. It was getting late. We were only staying one night, so we took the room. Later when we pulled the covers back, the bottom sheet had two long hairs, looked wrinkled and slept in. By chance we had some bedding along used our own sheets. Many of the rooms were efficiencies rented as apartments for locals who knew each other and stood outside their rooms smoking and chatting.

Review 116:The tv in bedroom didn't work. Turned on but no stations. A/C was difficult to adjust, buttons gone.

Review 117:Manager did his best to help us given the circumstances he was given. Tried various remotes to get tv to work, no luck. Had to come to help with a/c but was pleasant about it and apologetic.

Review 118:The room it had 2 rooms and a kitchen. one room had. 2 queen beds and the other room had a hide bed or use it as a sofa it was a nice place to stay.

Review 119:Water constantly ran in bathtub. Large quantities. If we're in a water shortage year, why is this allowed. Bugs came out of sink in kitchen. Had two rooms. One was fine and other had horrible furniture and bugs and leaking tub. Had to move to another room.

Review 120:The carpets are very dirty. The beds are too hard. We also did not like the cigarette smoking in front of the rooms. These are non/smoking rooms and others were allowed to smoke in front of their rooms. The smell was always coming into our room.

Review 121:The staff was very good and helped us when we needed things.

Review 122:The breakfast was a little too overcrowded to eat at, but it wasn't a huge deal.

Review 123:The room was much larger than I expected, and even had a nice little front room/kitchen area.

Review 124:Our bathroom was rather small. It would have been helpful if there had been dish soap and a dish rag provided. The baseboards and other trim pieces could have used some scrubbing and new caulking if that sort of thing bothers you, but I was willing to overlook it because I got a great deal on the place.

Review 125:I loved that we had tons of room: two bedrooms and a large kitchen/living room. I loved the price. There was a fold-out couch bed so we could have slept 8!! My kids hit the pool every evening and had great fun there. The hot tub was nice and hot. The free breakfast was fun with the waffle maker, although I wished they would have put the oatmeal packets out every day. They made our beds, took out the trash and replenished towels and toilet paper daily, which I totally was not expecting for the price. Yes, it's an older facility, but it was just what we needed for a large family to have a comfortable and economical vacation. (We never tried the Wi-fi, just used data.) I had heard that the kitchen was not well stocked with dishes and pans etc., but ours had enough to get by.

Review 126:It felt dirty and unsanitary, the beds were horribly uncomfortable and I was worried about the cleanliness of the pool as well. Will not be returning EVER and most definitely will NOT be recommending this place to ANYONE!

Review 127:That it had a separate living area.

Review 128:Bedroom door would not close. There were no dishes or cookware in the otherwise we'll furnished kitchen.

Review 129:Price was great, good location in town and close to the highway.

Review 130:The bed was horrible. Thin walls. The A/C said one temperature that was obviously wrong. Had to be careful about leaving the parking lot or the front of the vehicle would scrape. Tiny parking spaces. General building decay. "I" fixed a drawer that would fall apart when we opened it. People smoking everywhere. Never again.

Review 131:The price

Review 132:I would not advertise that they have a pool. It was so gross. No wonder they don't have it lighted at night. I was also disappointed with the kitchen, they did not have enough dishes to do anything with. So we still had to eat out.

Review 133:I liked the apartment with the extra room for the kids to run around.

Review 134:Not the fault of the hotel, but there were people right outside our door, smoking and being loud all night long.

Review 135:I liked that there was a kitchen along with the beds. It came with a full size refrigerator, as well as a stove/oven. The whole room was really spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly.
