Reviews for Loews Miami Beach Hotel

Review 1:Nothing - all perfect

Review 2:everything: great location, right by main shopping mall. Staff were amazing. Hotel had loads of facilities, nothing I would change. Excellent value for money. Definitely go back, best of 3 I stayed at in Miami in terms of value for money by a MILE!

Review 3:Amazing stay just wish it could have been longer will definitely stay again if I travel them at way. Nothing was to much trouble and thanks for our upgrade the room was fantastic xx

Review 4:We were first in the St Mortiz suite. The look and feel seemed old although that side had just been renovated. We were able to switch our suite to the main tower

Review 5:staff was very friendly. Pool area very nice. There were no adult only areas and there were a number of children that took up most of the pool area.

Review 6:Other than the bars being a little pricey all was good.

Review 7:Excellent location on Collins Ave. Walking distance to Lincoln Rd. Very friendly staff. Well kept property.

Review 8:Rooms are extremely small for the money paid. Lots of construction going on at the time. Service wasn't the greatest by the pool. Lounge at the hotel is extremely quiet and outdated at night.

Review 9:Location is great.

Review 10:Too much crowd. Super loud music. Really Overpriced. Staff not accommodating. Zero holiday feeling. Felt like Grand Central. Long line for brunch

Review 11:Location

Review 12:The refrigerator is locked because it is a refrigerator and a bar!!!! No complimentary water!bottles! The free wifi is for two devices only!!!

Review 13:The location and the beach are magnificent!!

Review 14:I booked hotel thru "Booking.com", I booked a junior suite with city view room. The REASON I booked this room was because it says in the room description: SPA TUB , well NO spa tub in this room. I would have booked ocean view room if I would have known this. I was not happy about this, this should be CORRECTED.

Review 15:Hotel staff was excellent !! Took us for a tour of the hotel upon our arrival; restaurants, pool, beach, etc.. . We had a very relaxing vacation at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Oh yes we did enjoy the night life too, plenty to do here!!

Review 16:Construction work at hotel for our entire 2 week stay. No warning on website, on booking or a check in. Made using the pool area a very poor experience and their only decent restaurant was closed as part of the works.

Review 17:Location really is perfect for SoBe

Review 18:Extremely overpriced to an insulting degree and made the experience lack class, a good example is the 9.00 Fiji water and the tea in the lobby (prepackaged tea bags) was 6.50. The food was incredibly low quality (coffee is just overpriced Starbucks) its just tacky overall. I regret staying here and should have stayed at the nautilus for a lower price. The woman taking room service was rude and impatient the person checking me out thought I left my water bottle so opened it and drank it and when I came back seconds later she didn't offer me a replacement which added a disappointment to the almost $500.00 bill for one night.

Review 19:Very clean and efficient and I love that the pool is 24 hours

Review 20:Only thing is that we check in at 1am after our flight, we went to the bar to grab something to eat and drink and we were told that last call was 15 min before 2. So we left hungry!!!

Review 21:Great location!!! Mia at front desk was awesome!!!

Review 22:My cars were really dirty when I picked them up from valet. There was construction going on and the cars were not protected from the dust and dirt. The hotel and the valet did comp me for a day of valet parking and they rinsed off my cars, so they did correctthe mistake, but I was upset they didn't take care of the cars.

Review 23:The location was great! Within walking distance to all of the places you want to be at in Miami Beach.

Review 24:Our hotel room smelled of chemicals and the sliding glass door didn't shut all the way. Also, I was annoyed that there was a 30/day charge for a fridge.

Review 25:The location was great. The food at the hotel, although expensive, was very good and the portions were large.

Review 26:False advertising because I didnt know that the swiming pool was under cosntruction with a LOT OF NOISE that I will not pay 500 us per night if I knew it before

Review 27:one of the cordless phone's battery was dead but they promptly fixed it

Review 28:I've stayed here many times over the years and have always found the staff to be exceptional

Review 29:We had a suite in the St. Moritz Tower which should have been pristine, however the pull out couch was in terrible condition. Once opened, we found the sheets were filthy and wrinkled. We could tell it was not attended to by housekeeping after use by the previous guests. We also noticed that the bed sheets were not very clean as well so we requested that they be changed.

Review 30:We loved the hotel. It was lovely, clean and very convenient to all things exciting!

Review 31:prepaid thru booking.com and while I had email showing I had paid for 2 rooms, the hotel only showed payment for 1 room. My guest on crutches was unable to check into the type of room I had reserved. I talked to Bookings.com and they called the hotel without satisfaction. I had to pay for the second room again and then responsible for proving it was paid after checking out with bookings.com. Very unsatisfied with resolution of hotel not to give my guest the type of room (King ocean view with balcony as booked when they checked in early).

Review 32:location

Review 33:I don't like the idea of paying more than 400USD per night and they try to charge you for everything besides sleeping in your bed. they don't have parking but they offer a Valet service for 43USD that takes your car to the public parking across the road that cost 1USD per hour with a max of 16USD per day. Resort fee seems to be a new mandatory thing (29USD per person per night) to use the swimming pool, you have to pay for it either you use the pool or you don't early check out has a cost (never seen before) if you use the mini bar fridge to store your own stuff has a charge of 30USD. Some of the employees working on the front desk are not helpful at all, they just seem to be tired of what they are doing and they refuse to explain basics of the hotel (for example he refused to give the internet access code) Internet is included in the resort fee, one code per room valid for two devices, after two devices, 20USD/day. Next time I will just go to Ritz-Carlton, where you pay around 10% more but it is a real 5 star hotel with professional service

Review 34:The hotel location is perfect if you plan to stay around south beach. one block away from Lincoln road and same distance to ocean drive, the hotel has direct access to the beach. Rooms are renovated, clean and have a confortable bed Francisco from Manhattan working in the Front desk was the only person helpful there (and he was incredible helpful)

Review 35:Didn't like the big double sunbeds and canopies taking all front row on beach as it spoilt view of sea. It would be better to have them behind each other to one side.

Review 36:Lovely pool area and attentive staff. Also enjoyed being close to beach. Bedroom superb with great view.

Review 37:I have NO dislikes At All NONE

Review 38:The HOTEL was everyhing Beautiful !!! The staff was Awesome This was my first time in Miaim AND I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAD A Blast. We were celebrating my Husband 45th Birthday It would definitely something we will remember

Review 39:We wanted an upgrade that was not explained properly. The rate increase lead us to believe that there was 100$ increase. We jumped at it. In reality it was a 400$ increase. It was presented that way.

Review 40:The fact you have to pay extra for wifi and sunbeds/umbrella on the beach is negative for an hotel on this price level

Review 41:Good location and very good spa and gym facilities.

Review 42:Only bad things were that the shower in our specific room was very small and the sofa bed in the room was terrible to sleep on because of all the springs coming out.

Review 43:Went over the fourth of July weekend to this hotel and we loved it! Such a kid friendly hotel with so many activities throughout the day. Great location and helpful staff.

Review 44:This was our first time to Miami (we went during Memorial Weekend). Wehad no idea it was Urban Week, which is not a city-wide planned event. There was a strong police presence in the hotel (they had 40 rooms) and the staff explained to us that it was very bad a few years ago. Every hotel had a block of rooms dedicated to officers. The city shuts down all ramps going in/out and it was just not quite our scene.

Review 45:We enjoyed our stay here. The location to the boardwalk and beach isexactly what we were looking for!My husband and I were here for leisure, we rented a SOAK bed for one day and it was perfect. The service (Kristin) was great and we enjoyed the quietness of the SOAK area and then would cool off in the pool when we felt like it! Spa/workout facilities were also exceptional! They offered a lot of workout classes and we saw that they teamed up with lululemon and did running groups the last Thursday of every month. I professionally plan meetings and events and have seen numerous properties and Loews is a brand I am always impressed with and this property was beautiful and did not disappoint!

Review 46:My booking on this site was for a Deluxe King. Reception refused to give me this room stating type of room is not guaranteed although by confirmation stated this. Had to get booking.com customer service on phone to resolve. Not a customer friendly hotel. Pool very crowded. All lounge chairs gone by 9am, had to go to beach and pay for chair/umbrella.

Review 47:Location is ok but very busy. Hotel is overrun with people attending meetings and conventions.

Review 48:At check-in our room was not ready, had to wait almost 2 hours with a small child for room. The pool was overcrowded, chairs were on top of each other, impossible to relax.

Review 49:Room was nice, breakfast room service was great, most staff was nice

Review 50:Breakfast and free wifi is not included.

Review 51:The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great, one of the best spot in South Beach, and without being so noise.

Review 52:Disastrous wi-fi conection, they sent us of the poolsarea in the afternoon without good heads-up or any compensation due to private party! The gym had a fee but we were not informed, so very expensive hotel and not really wirth it.

Review 53:Poolarea was great

Review 54:The food menu is the same regardless of the restaurant (beach, pool, inside the hotel) just at different price points. Having 20% gratuity added to everything, including the ice cream store and gift shop is crazy. There are too many guests for the size of the pook. It can be dangerous for small children at times. It's a bit overcrowded. They need another pool.

Review 55:The staff. Christina at the Pool and Natalie in the Kids club were amazing.

Review 56:Breakfast not so efficient , a bit disssapointing.

Review 57:Staff very friendly , facilities and very child friendly hotel and location superb , has one of the best seafood restaurant in town

Review 58:I think the property is over-priced. The pool bar prices were crazy. I found myself constantly running out of tip money

Review 59:The room was very nice, the bed very comfortable, beautiful property and pool/beach area.

Review 60:When we arrived one of the porters left one of our suitcases in the boot of the cab. The hotel directed us to security but failed to find the cab. We ended up going back to airport to search or cab - tainted our stay really. They did give us a free breakfast though!

Review 61:The room was nice and the bed was lovely, really comfy. Good position and access straight out onto the path by the beach.

Review 62:I do not like their restaurant, the food is fine, the staff `s service their is so bad. I want to order white wine, the guy have no suggestion and just give me their iPad which has list of wine. Also, they even do not know service ice water for us.

Review 63:I like this hotel, it`s really clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice.

Review 64:Loved everything! Not one complaint

Review 65:Loved the pool! It was always open 24-7 and heated, day & night. Enjoyed night swimming. Food was excellent inside hotel restaurants, at pool and on was even served to us on the beach! Was able to rent comfy lounge chairs on the beach, ordered drinks & food without leaving our chairs. Great 4-man band on Saturday night, so relaxing sitting in the lounge. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Our room was upgraded to ocean view, which was great. Free rides in the Fiat at hotel. Reserve them early. We would definitely recommend this hotel and are looking forward to coming back!

Review 66:My friends where in a snow storm and did not make it in and they would not let me cancel and rebook. I paid $500 for one night as a birthday surprise for her and the flight was canceled.

Review 67:Poor service. Keys did not work. Little ants in bathroom. Shower space like a little cubicle, impossible to have a comfortable shower. Maids knock at door at 8:30 AM even if you have the do not disturb sign. Overall very disappointed for the 4/5 star. It should be in the 2/3 star category

Review 68:On the beach

Review 69:Our room was two stories above an outside bar which stayed noisy until 3am. it was very difficult to get hold of someone who could help us. The front desk and concierge was always busy. They eventually moved us late in the afternoon of the second day to a quieter room. The room was very basic for the $650 we paid per night, I was expecting better service and more than a bath/shower curtain setup for that price.

Review 70:confortable bed, great location

Review 71:WiFi was slow. But at least it was free.

Review 72:Loved: wall sconces on each side of bed with easy to reach switches, outlets on each sconce, lots of outlets at the desk, perfect night light in the bathroom (not a full ceiling light that keeps you up all night), and good air conditioning controlled from the room. And EVERY hotel employee greeted me with a hello and a smile. The little things matter.

Review 73:Wifi device limitation are ridiculous in this day and age but I guess I had 4G, room near elevator was a little noisy with the bell ringing every time the elevator doors opened, shower was just okay.

Review 74:Location, location, location. Great pool and facilities, right on the beach. Clean room.

Review 75:We paid for an upgraded room and then found that we had been placed next to the Service Lift shaft with a motor constantly running. When I complained they said sorry and that we had been given the room because it had been completed by housecleaning. They did move us but not a great advert for the hotel! The Lure Restaurant was over-priced and for the first time ever in the USA...the portions were small. Beach beds are also over-priced at $26 per day

Review 76:Location is very handy. Staff pretty friendly

Review 77:Gym is small... too expensive hotel, .. Even being a guest in the hotel you have to pay for anything you use facilities at the pool or the beach like towels or seats, bottle of water on the beach was 11 $ .. Before we check in we agreed with them on late check out but when check out time came they refused saying it is a policy,, they charged my credit card again after we left 2 days and we had to call to them for refund ... Never again

Review 78:Only location and cleanliness, staff also are friendly

Review 79:The wifi was poor

Review 80:I left my staff at my room when I come back I found them even there was an iPhone and apple laptop and money in my bed so that was good from you crew

Review 81:valet parking: easier and cheaper arranged by yourself sofa bed: uncomfortable kids toys: very expensive at pool, much cheaper at Walgreens, right around corner

Review 82:great pool kids oriented

Review 83:Coffee mug filthy - we had to wash it Only one wine glass on arrival Asked for a second from room maid, it didn't arrive on the first time of asking, nor the second; it never did!

Review 84:Exceedingly comfortable bed

Review 85:it was too big, more a convention hotel than a holiday hotel..

Review 86:The team at front desk was incredibly nice. We had to go there twice for checkin and check out and both times we were impressed with their kindness and sympathy. Room was comfortable, we were 3 adults in one room with 2 double beds. Beds a bit narrow for two adults, but bathroom was very nice and confortable. Wifi was a bit slow in the room, but it was free and they had high speed with an extra charge. The hotel was very clean in all the areas, really nice.

Review 87:Quite expensive with 20% tips added but that's Miami! Bit too crowded around the pool but you could find loungers further back on the grass surround.

Review 88:Lovely setting, great pool bar and staff, very friendly. Good situation next to the beach and just distance enough from the main strip. We thought excellent staff! Nice touch with little birthday cake in the room, would stay their again!

Review 89:Let a shirt on the lawn chair and staff swept it away according the the hotel guest next to our chair. We discussed it with the pool manager and asked them to call our room either way, no follow through. A little disappointed by this.

Review 90:Front door staff always pleasant Pool was nice and plenty of chairs, however the sun is behind the building by 4pm which is not fault of the hotel

Review 91:Hidden charges , horrible pushy staff after tips not service . Terrible parking options . I was offers $70 plus tips to for the only car parking options ,. when I said i would try to locate a cheaper place , I was still hassled for a tip later as he pointed to a street that had a park park . The hidden taxes and surcharges added is fraud , your final bill is closer to 30 per cent more . The pool area while looks nice is banks of day beds and the service while exists , its so slow . The place is dated , the entrance is ugly and don't bring a car , its impossible . I paid 800 a night thinking it was 450 and watch the upgrades , I was told it was a few dollars more and signed to later find it was triple and i didn't read the small print

Review 92:Position , the beach . The location to the restaurants.

Review 93:We had to wait until 16o clock to get the room. We were traveling with a 10 month old baby. - Not so nice. Take in consideration in your costs: - Internet costs 19 USD p/ day - Day at the Beach 100 USD - Parking 40 USD p/ day - Resort tax 25 USD p/day - Breakfest 25USD p/day p/person

Review 94:- The beach in Miami - Good level of guests. - Jet-Ski Rental (90 USD p/ 30 min)

Review 95:Limited and slow internet acsess compared to other hotels we've stayed in

Review 96:Good location to shops and beach. Friendly staff and prompt service . Would recommend to family and friends .

Review 97:i booked the day before my arrival because our flight arrived 4:30am.when i called the hotel to assure that we'll have our room ready by the time we arrive and there won't have no show problems.....the person who answered the call looked unhappy that i reserved from booking.com instead of direct to the hotel. She said i had to talk to you instead of them!!!

Review 98:location, staff very helpful, pool awesome!!!!

Review 99:Wifi was poor in the rooms, free wifi limited to two devices. Neighbours were very loud. Lot of snob guests.

Review 100:Loews american buffet breakfast is gorgeous, not included in the room price, quiet expensive. Very fancy hotel, clean rooms and public places, nice pool. Private beach was very nice, not really crowded, however sunbed and umbrella rental is expensive as well.

Review 101:Only 2 devices were allowed free wifi when we were a family of 3.

Review 102:The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff were all extremely friendly and my dog was treated like a celebrity.

Review 103:All of the food at the hotel was very expensive.

Review 104:The hotel location was great because everything was in walking distance. I like that the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Review 105:The reservationist Marlo, Erik at the Hemisphere and all Loews employees are amazing. The hotel is beautiful, the pool is amazing and the location is out of this world!!! LOEWS.. you've done it again! :0)

Review 106:I was charged $200 for smoking a cigarette on the balcony of my hotel room. the hotel explained it by stating that it's a non smoking hotel, which would be understandable, except that they allow smoking everywhere around the perimeter of the hotel. Smoking is permitted in all the outdoor lounge areas, in the outdoor restaurant, at the pool, at the bar, etc. So, to me, a balcony that is technically an outdoor space, should be considered part of the outdoor perimeter as well.

Review 107:room wasn't cleaned properly, quite a few hairs in the bathroom from previous guests

Review 108:location, huge room, complementary WiFi but only for 2 devices

Review 109:The pool area is far too crowded. The beds are squashed in like sardines and smoking is permitted. We were in a fog of second hand smoke, tried to move but the only other free bed was beside another smoker. We complained but were told that smoking was allowed but that if we went to some beds away from the pool there might be a better chances of it being smoke free! It was a horrible environment and so crowded!

Review 110:The rooms are very nice and the location is excellent.

Review 111:the only problem we had, was with the wi fi, the connection was fine, but we had some problems to get the signal.

Review 112:Everything,what great!!! the service, the room...everything!! of course I will recommend you!! thanks for letting us spend a great "end of vacation" it will be unforgettable to me

Review 113:When we came there was a long line... and after waiting a long time, we had to ask if they could open more counters to check in people. (the line did not move at all). They did open one more counter and we got excellent service from the young man who checked us in. The gym charges 10 $ for each time you come to work out, that would be okay, if they opened on time (one day we waited almost 30 min. for someone to open the door) and the machines wasn't working too well and when we pointed that out, they told us that the where getting new equipment soon. I think they should have charged less or nothing until the gym was up to standard, because in hotels the gym is usual free and open all hours.

Review 114:We were so lucky that we got our room right away even though we checkin just after noon. They young man who checked us in was really helpful and very nice. We spend some days at the area Soak, both in the cabanas and on the daybeds... the girls working there were all doing a super job. We had dinner at the restaurants (Lure-twice... excellent) .. All together a fantastic vacation... but not cheap ;-)

Review 115:the fact that a hotel this big and valuable rents a mini fridge isn't really something good, even 3 star hotels have mini fridges in their room. when i was going to check out i was late and didnt know where to check out, so i went to ask the lady on the counter and she had an attitude and told me to go back to line even though i was only going to ask a question, not polite at all.

Review 116:swimming pool was great, location was great, nice beach, comfy bed and room

Review 117:The beach service was unsatisfactory. I purchased chairs and a bed. I went to brunch, and when I returned the had re-sold it, and couldn't accommodate my purchase.

Review 118:Didn't like the 30 dollar buffet breakfast.. For a family with 5 adults, it worked out to be very expensive.. But the quality was excellent but pricey. vegetarian options are very limited. Too many pompous Europeans.. I'm European myself so I try to escape in the summer.. Here you can't escape.. But if you don't mind or had no idea.. It's not that bad. Bit pricey

Review 119:Beautiful hotel, I'd heard a lot about this hotel and it really lived up to expectations. We had a toddler and a baby with us and the staff was excellent from the welcome toys, to the in-room toys that we borrowed and to the availability of a mini fridge and microwave in our room. I'd like to mention Guilermo on the front desk (sorry for the spelling) this guy was a star and made us very comfortable especially after the false fire alarm on day 2 out of our 5 night stay. Location was excellent, a stones throw away from Lincoln Road, and all its shopping and restaurants. One of the best features of this place is the 24 hour pool which I made use of every night and day. Always in use but the best was very late at night. I can't mention the staff enough, everybody was great and made out trip very nice.. Also a thanks to Isaacs down by the pool for making sure we always were located by the kiddie side of the pool. Overall you'll have a great time if you don't mind being surrounded by uptight Europeans.

Review 120:See above

Review 121:For the price we pay to stay at the hotel, they need to improve the quality of wifi connection. It was very poor in the rooms (One had to go near the corridor to get good connection) and in the pool area. In lobby it was good. Otherwise out stay was fine and the hotel is in great location.

Review 122:Charging $10 for the use of the gym is unneccessary, the gym is good but should be free for guests.

Review 123:The Loews is in a great location with excellent pool, bars and restaurant facilities. The staff are very good, the reception, pool guys and girls are very helpful, the bar staff especially Cindy looked after us in the Hemisphere Bar, the live bands were very good. All of the staff we met were great and make the Hotel what it is. One of our best holidays.

Review 124:We were very disappointed that there was an extra charge to use the gym facilities, really?! For the nightly room rate the gym facilities should be included. We were also disappointed that Loew's did not have a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

Review 125:The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. We walked down the street and found the best little authentic Italian restaurant ever! We would highly recommend Pane & Vino on Washington! The pool is gorgeous and well staffed.

Review 126:did not realize it was pet friendly hotel, and while I like pets, just want to make sure you are not allergic and they don't put you in a room near where an animal might be staying.

Review 127:location - walking distance from all kinds of things and yet quiet enough to be able to sleep in; great relaxing atmosphere; good food but expensive; great service and welcoming staff.

Review 128:I did not like the fact of the following in the 2nd tower: -That we had a leaking fridge for 4 days straight. - There was an annoying buzzing from the AC unit going every hour ( so loud we could hear it outside the unit T the elevator) and we had to speak with management 3 times via phone and twice via face to face to get it rectified and we're advised as per management that the staff went to our unit and didn't hear anything aswell we were advised that the AC unit make noise however we asked our neighbors and they advise that a they had NO noise coming from there AC unit above the entrance way. -It took 9.5 hours and 3 phone calls to 1 lent brush. - Went to the restaurant LURE and no where in the menu did it mentioned we have to pay a service fee...I would have rather given a larger tip to the waitress. - Paying for the gym....after I just paid to stay there is ridiculous! - the leaking closest.... not even sure where the water is coming from.

Review 129:I like the pool and the weight room. The food select was good.

Review 130:food and drinks way overpriced. Do not valet your car there for $40/day...there are several parking garages within a block away of walking.

Review 131:the pool for the kids, the staff that have pool activities/games with the kids every few hours. Perfect location. No need for a car if you don't plan on leaving the beach. everything within walking distance. Right on beach, right next to Lincoln rd. near shopping, restaraunts, etc.

Review 132:Pool Area was rather small with everybody jammed in,but overall it was well laid out.

Review 133:location was great, comfortable bed with comfortable pillows- Most Important.Service was Great .

Review 134:it's rather too expensive

Review 135:location, beach, swimming pools, facilities

Review 136:Atmosphere

Review 137:The "fresh" towels had dirty spots on them

Review 138:Pool 24 hours and no safe guards

Review 139:Nothing

Review 140:Location and accomodations

Review 141:Location and service perfect
