Review 1：The exhauster in the bathroom sounds like a plane taking off. The fridge freezes your stuff instead of cooling it. Everything very old, but as I said that's ok for the low price.

Review 3：The door lock to the out side malfunctioned he made me two more keys and they didn't work. I was going to maybe go to Denny's to eat late but I could not lock the room without getting the attendant. To open it. Not a big deal though.

Review 5：My booking was supposed to be for the following week. Had trouble with the date changing while trying to book. Thought I had it corrected. O Also WAS HOSPITALIZED For Very Serious condition. I called to speak with them as they charged my card. The barely speaking English guy was very curt and rude and would not refund my charge. I travel often at least once a month sometimes rwice.bi will NOT patronize this facility
Review 6：There is this HORRIBLE smell inside the reception office, it is dirty, we saw cockroaches on the walls - but nobody seems to care! The air condition and fridge (a regular kitchen fridge) in our room were turned off - you might can imagine the smell.... disgusting! They have charged my friends for a room i already had paid for. Then i received an email saying that i will get charged with an cancellation fee for all 4 rooms (!!) cause we never checked in! Wow.... i guess bookkeeping, guest service & cleanliness is not their strongest ability. ;( We usually stay in motels when we travel and we really don't expect the standards of a 3* Hotel - but this was the most terrible motel & experience so far! SANDS Motel - never ever again!!

Review 9：Pool, price, Here its hit or miss, as to awesome or not so; once they put me up at the hotel next door (they own all 3) and there were cockroaches. Another time, I got a full kitchenette and tile (ooh, ahh thumbs up) Beds are comfortable (not always a given in this range)
Review 10：The owner was rude, angry, and confrontational. I would never give my business to this horrible man. We called ahead to make sure our room would be ready after driving 8 hours; still when we arrived it wasn't ready and the owner yelled at me before I even had a chance to question him.

Review 22：It was very unclean. The water in the shower had no pressure. It made it very difficult to wash your hair due to no pressure of water. Dirty beds, floors, walls, stinky! I felt very uncomfortable due to uncleanliness.

Review 26：We were very surprised to find that our room was a suite. It was a kitchenette, but nothing in the cuboards, which was fine as we only stayed one night. The front desk area was very run down and very dirty, just needs to be cleaned up. We had a free breakfast in morning at hotel next door.
Review 27：Fixtures broken, overwhelming bug smell. Wifi didn't work half the time. Weird smell in the bathroom and the toilet took forever to flush.

Review 29：Room 101 looks like the attempt to update & renovate was done in a hurry. They forgot "attention to detail " . (1.) Forgot (?) to install an electrical outlet for guests with electrical shavers or hair dryers etc.(2. )Insulation around entryway door needed (3. )bottom of bathroom door frame was missed in the update process. (4) bed platform needs sanding & repaint. (5) Cables to tv need painted the wall color or hidden. (6)Fire/safety information, other pertinent motel, phone book , cable tv channel listings (suggestion: put all Info in small binder.) However, if you're just there to rest your head. It is just that...absolutely no bells & whistles.. the WIFI wasn't very strong either.

Review 32：Upon entering the lobby where wires were hanging from the ceiling, I told the owner I didn't feel safe staying there. He then tried to charge me for one night. He said it was booking.coms rule. I asked him why since it's not that I didn't show up but that I didn't feel safe there, as if I could see wires from the ceiling, I had to wonder what was going on behind the walls. Finally he relented. I worked in the hotel business for 20 years. Never did I try to charge someone who came in but felt the hotel wasn't up to snuff.
Review 33：The hotel is dated - meaning it was built long ago. The toilet and shower are vintage but usable. The room is dull yellow.
Review 34：The location on St. George Blvd is close to all locations in the city and to the freeway. The room was spacious and clean. The king bed was comfortable to sleep on. There was a kitchen sink that was convenient for washing and getting water. The breakfast was good.

Review 37：I rented a room for a week, I found used pair of women's panties & trash in the bathroom cupboard & no soap. In the kitchenette, you could tell the sink & counter had not been wiped down or cleaned out there were crumbs & debris even on the floor. I took off my shoes & my feet were soon filthy due to lack of sweep/mop tile floors. The bedspreads had caked food on them! yuck!

The wall AC unit spit out black dust all night long which covered one of the beds. One bed was fine and comfortable, the other was AWFUL. You could feel every spring. There was this strange pile of sticky goopy stuff in the corner. No idea what it was. And everything was rusty & old and falling apart. It felt like staying in a shelter in a foreign country. The shower looked nice but there was no way I was showering in it after finding the roach in there. Do not stay in this hotel, at least not in room 201.

Review 43：Sketchy room - couch was awful- I didn't want to sit on it. Wall had holes in it and a random paint job. Didn't want to imagine what the carpet had. Bed was fine-ish. I felt like they had to kick a long-term resident out for me to stay the weekend. And it wasn't cheap! I expected at least an average hotel room. Nope. Also- they checked me in at 5:00 and the room was still torn apart and not cleaned for at least another hour. Why check me in? Staff was super nice, but the room was totally misrepresented in the photos.

Review 47：We spent a night at Economy Inn, a sister property of Sands Motel. Front desk service in both motels was great. Room was spacious, clean and quiet, the king bed comfortable. The room had a full-size fridge and a microwave. WIFI was strong and stable. We would stay again and recommend this place.

Good customer service.

There were no outlets in the bathroom and only one behind a night stand in the bedroom part for hairdryer, phone, etc. We had only 2 bath towels with 1 washrag so had to ask for more even to put on the bath floor when showering. I will pay more next time for a more up- to- date, cleaner place.
Review 121：lots of cockroaches in the room. the carpet was beyond dirty you stuck to it as you walked acrossed it. the 2 chairs in the room were extremely filthy. the bathroom tooilet paper holder and towel rack were both broken off the wall. there was dried food spillage between the bed and the nightstand. there was food particles and what looked like corn chips spilled and left on the closet shelf in the kitchen. dirty throughout the place. microwave dirty. used soap left in shower the heater/air conditioner could not be reached without climbing on the bed. When I told the clerk about the roached they were not interested and just took my key and shut the window and walked away. whoever runs this hotel needs a serious class in hotel management I would not recomend this hotel to anyone
