Review 1:Hotel needs some renovation. It's seen better days. Pool was disgusting. Had to ask for a better room initially as my first room had no view and was in rough shape. 2nd room was better.

Review 2:It was right in the beach. The room i ended up with wasn't too bad. Good view and spacious.

Review 3:Guest rooms are too dark if you don't get a corner room and room service menus are not updated (called for breakfast and they said they don't do it but it's an option on the menu)

Review 7:Ordered empanadas at the pool bar and they were frozen in the middle. However we were comped this. Shower either was scorching hot or cold. No in between. Pool had stains on the bottom and sides and looked dirty. A bug was in my boyfriends drink when he ordered a margarita at the inside bar Saturday night.

Review 14:They forgot to return me a deposit at check out though I paid in cash night before. When I reminded them by email, they sent me receipt saying I received the deposit with someone's else signature as a guest signature. After arguing with them they returned me a deposit. This looks like a scam that could be regularly deployed by their staff. The quality of wifi in the room was terrible.

Review 15:Old structure, lifts with expired certification, cleaning staff not efficient (very dirty rooms and smelling of smoke and aging). Baaically, young staff is almost in line with american politeness standard.

Review 20:The hotel dining area was too cold of temperature. Made dining uncomfortable. Main dining room had great food but very expensive. Breakfast buffet need to have a better variety. Rather expensive. The coffee shop was also expensive and did not have good breakfast items- the bagels for a sandwich was dry and stale. The consierge desk should have a listing of recommended area restaurants and place to visit in area. The walls are somewhat thin- family with kids next room was kind of disruptive at times. For the most part the floor was very quiet.

Review 21:The staff were very helpful- special acknowledegment for -Josh at front desk was very accommodating. Mike the bellhop was very friendly. The dining room waiter Edwardo and bar staff Yuri were fantastic. Juan at poolside bar was also very friendly. We had a wonderful ocean view and beautiful sunrise. It was easy to get to beach from property - gate via the back of hotel and beach was few feet away.

Review 22:Bkfst was good and the poolside bar had good lunch menu but Food choices were not good for dinner. The flat screen TV was nonexistent and the old TV was difficult to watch. The remote was not working well but the minibar helped!

When i called the front desk associate (gentlemen) was very rude, no help and didn't even answer my question. Also feel an indoor bar would be a nice touch. So we had to be on our 4G and because we're not from the US, we had to pay a 50 EUR fee to our national operator to get connected...

Review 42:I didn't like the fact that I was charged more than what I agreed to with booking.com and that I had to pay $32.00 a day just to have my car parked in a parking spot. I was not aware of this. Carpet was old and buckling and paint was chipping. They need to spend some money and update paint color and new carpet.

Review 44:We we're there for a week. Staff is amazing hotel is clean and beautiful. We had a room next to the elevator we could head the noise when it was being used but it wasn't annoying or anything. Would definitely recommend!

Review 45:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good, just few minutes walk from the main boardwalk. The pool, pool bar and the gym are in good condition and well run.

Review 48:No heat!!! No microwaves or fridge in the rooms. None of these things were disclosed in booking.com $33 per day per parking is a total rip off. Hotel dining was horrible and the staff barely spoke english. I also had a DND sign and they still entered our room and left the master key!

Review 58:The room bar. I always check to make sure stuff is not missing. I did and reported it to the front desk. They still charged me for something. I called and they are removing the charge. Housekeeping needs to do a better job with keeping up with these refrig. Unless they are drinking the stuff themselves. The breakfast was horrible and not worth $19. Got better at McDonalds. We had to keep asking for hand towels. They gave us 1 towel for 3 women. It took over 40 mins just to get small wash towels. So we end up buying our own.

Review 64:I personally would love that there should be access to the fridge in the room (even if it comes with a price). Also, there should be more options to explore as regards food and entertainment.

Review 65:The best part for me was the cleanliness of the rooms especially the standard room I stayed in on my second visit. The check-in staff were also lovely especially one called Nadine. They also helped with finding cabs. Great staff!

Review 67:Disappointed in the fake wood floors that were put in the elevator. They look and are tacky. The server Julio, was pushy and just wanted us to order. When my friend got the sliders, the fries were cold. He told us that's how they are served. My shrimp scampi was luke warm so I asked him to put it the microwave to warm it up! He did, so that was fine. At breakfast we really did not have an explanation from the waitress about how the buffet worked. When I wanted pancakes found out that I had to ask her for them. Then she brought them with no syrup or butter, I had to go looking for these items, and she kept picking up my plates when I was not finished.

Review 68:In it's time this was an elegant hotel. You can figure that out from the marble floors, chandeliers, brass door knockers, and the elegance it has as you walk into the lobby. The room was comfortable, but needs some updating. It also smelled of smoke when we first walked in. The maid service was superior, and the bartender Gabriella was friendly, professional, and basically just a really nice person!

Review 71:I didn't like that there is nothing anywhere near it to walk to like restaurants, the restaurant on the beach closed at six n the restaurant in the resort didn't have much to choose from, if you don't have a car it's not a good location. The sheet on my bed was too short so didn't go all the way to bottom of bed, I did say something the next day and it was fixed. I thought the staff weren't very helpful at all.

Review 88:the room itself was very outdated. a tube t.v....come on. the sheets were so crisp they crunched and a some of the staff didn't even speak English. also we went to the hotel restaurant..i know it was a little later in the evening but I tried to order 2 different things on the menu and they said they were all out, so I had to go for a 3rd choice. when the bill came it was messed up , we got charged for 3 beers and only had 2, the pasta was way overcooked. the manager had to come up and talk to us regarding it. but the guy server was good, he tried to take care of everything it seemed like in the restaurant because it was understaffed.

Review 89:it was a great location on the beach and boardwalk and the bartender guy outside was very nice. the inside lobby was very nice looking and it looked like it was going to be a nice hotel to stay at until we got into our room.

Review 98:This hotel is very old, if you don't mind feeling like you are walking into the 80's, then you will be fine. We had a tube for TV in our room, I haven't seen one of those in a while. They couldn't change our accommodations to a king size bed, so we slept on a double room and the valet is very expensive ($32/day), no other parking options since this hotel is not close to a parking garage or anywhere else you can park, there is no visitor parking available! be aware. I think for that kind of money, we could have stayed at a better hotel. I used to live in Miami, so I'm used to the high prices for everything and how things work, but this hotel was definitely not worth the money.

Review 109:Even though I did like the location, I did not like I had to take a cab to anywhere outside the Resort. Another thing I didn't care for very much was one evening we went to the Ocean Bistro. The Resort Channel advertised the Bistro as a full bistro, however, when we arrived, the menu was very limited. The Chicken Salad Sandwich wasn't very appealing and the Buffalo Wings were quite salty. The Flatbread was pretty good and the BBQ Wings were flavorful. What the Bistro lacked in flavor and more options, the Bistro made up for with Carlo the bartender/waiter. He was very nice and upfront about the menu.

Review 110:I loved how close the Resort was to the beach. This is my second trip to Miami and this Resort is definitely in my top 5 Resort and Hotel choices.

Review 111:Very expensive but I suppose that is expected for Miami beach. I would stay closer to south beach next time though. Had to get far too many taxis.

Review 113:The staff's attitude was unpleasant, the staff's uniforms (particularly the valet & concierge) were tacky (no dress standards to appearance), I can't even begin to explain the rooms. When we checked in, it was late, room was completely dark, no adequate lighting. Beds were only furnished with sheets, no blankets. The toilet boil was the same size as a potty training seat (meaning it was that small and that low to the ground) The bathroom was dirty, the sheets on the bed were dirty, the carpets were dirty, their was a box of condoms next to the television; which clearly the staff somehow overlooked... It was not worth the money, it definitely was not worth the hassle of attempting to get a full refund, so spare yourself the trouble and get a room downtown Miami and just drive to South Beach. The parking garages that they have there are inexpensive and you won't have to endure the hardship of requesting a refund and the hotel consistently charging your card, after you have checked out.

Review 116:I was very impressed with their customer service, we arrived at 10 am and the front desk stuff ware able to check us in early without an extra charge. The hotel staff ware friendly and helpful during our entire stay, the room was clean and the location was convenience. I was very pleased with everything.

Review 117:UNEXPECTED FEE'S,THEY MADE IT SOUND LIKE THE BEACH CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS ON THE BEACH WAS INCLUDED IN THE RESORT FEE'S AND WASN'T....THERE WAS AN 18% SURCHARGE ON EVERYTHING,INCLUDING ROOM SERVICE AND A $4.00 DELIVERY CHARGE ALSO FOR ROOM SERVICE. THE SHOWER WAS VERY HOT OR COLD,THE BEDS WERE TERRIBLE. A lot of the staff was rude and they didn't care if y'all had a good time or anything! IT'S A TOURIST TRAP AND HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THEIR PRICES.
